Had my 50th birthday breakfast here. The food was lovely, and you get huge portions for the money. The coffee mugs are huge too! The service was good. I'm happy we chose this spot!

While visiting in town came across this small cozy restaurant. They are right off the main street which makes it very easy to find. Love the atmosphere the decorations inside super cute. Everybody looks like they're enjoying their meal and conversations. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I like the fact that they're on task when a table leaves the place. They clean up really quick, which is awesome because they seem to be very busy. My server SHELBY was awesome very nice and attentive. I ended ordering the harvest hash for breakfast. This is absolutely so delicious and perfect for someone who just wants to keep it as a clean healthy meal. The flavor is perfect. You can taste how fresh every single vegetable is. That amount of butter was well balance There's a delicate kind of sweet and sour harmony that makes this dish completely delicious I will definitely come back to this place again. Whenever visit in Minnesota. Thanks Shelby for making this experience even more enjoyable with your great service. My compliments to however is cooking in that kitchen!

Staff was friendly. This cute little place was amazing. The food was so tasty. I had the club. And it was big to big took half home. The sauce was interesting but have it good flavor. There was an omelet and country fried steak. Every one enjoyed their meal. The voice was too notch. The nutty professor was had and consumed lol. Check it out if your around. It was busy the whole time we were there. But that did not hinder service.

Stopped by for brunch on a Saturday. The place is cute. My waitress Shauna was friendly and attentive. I ordered the cinammon dolce latte which was delicious. Felt like I was drinking dessert. I also got Scandinavian breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fried bread pudding was filling. It came with choice of sausage, bacon. I got chicken sausage with fruit. Would recommend coming here.

Such a cute place! I ordered a soup and a sandwich and got a soup and a salad, which was a bummer but it was really loud at the time so I don't fault the server. The salad had pico in it which I wouldn't get next time but my gosh was the wild rice soup good! And loved the salted carmel latte!

This was such a good meal! I got the wild rice porridge, it was delicious and unique, and also super aesthetically pleasing. My boyfriend got the castle danger hash which he loved, i tried a bite and the corned beef was cooked perfectly, it was very good. We also got cocktails which were surprisingly strong! The service was friendly and helpful as well. I also can't get over how cheap this meal was for how good everything was! I will be stopping here on my way up to Grand Marais for now on.

Small, cute, fast, affordable, delicious. Especially the drinks!! Right next door is a cute souvenir shop you can check out!

This was nice; I stopped here for breakfast on my way back from camping a little further north, and I was very satisfied with my food. I decided to try the Pesto Eggs Benedict, which sounds like it might be weird except they use sausage instead of ham, and I was quickly reminded of the fact that sausage and pesto go great together. It was really good; they don't use too much pesto hollandaise and the sausage is very flavorful, so I could see myself ordering that again. It came with home fries, which were cooked well but I wished I'd gotten some sauce to swirl them in to give them some flavor. I also got a cafe mocha which was really perfect. They absolutely did not have sufficient coverage in the dining room. My server was friendly and was visibly working very hard, but it was impossible to flag her down for some more water and I had to wait longer than I wanted to for my check. I also overheard someone complaining that their check was incorrect. She took care of them; I'm just saying they definitely need more staff.

Great food, amazing service. The meal was perfect and I asked for my bacon crispy and it was PERFECT, the hash browns were wonderful, cooked to buttery perfection!

We needed to find out what foods were ok for a member of our group that had a dairy allergy and we were having a hard time communicating that. We had the pizza, the fancy burger, and the steak tacos. The indoor ambiance was also quite nice and this turned out to be a pretty fancy place. Still, I don't regret going here. We sat by a window with a decent view of the water and plenty of light. Our server was very friendly and helpful. While we waited for our food, we walked out on the deck, which led to scenic marshy areas with trails. I ordered beet wellington with arugula, and my spouse had a chicken dish with risotto. Just half of the beet wellington with the arugula was enough to fill me up. I liked the beet wellington, but it would have been better if they figured out a way to season the beet. Maybe pierce it and marinate it a bit? The chicken and risotto were also good. If we were hungrier, we would have supplemented these dishes with more vegetables. This was a nice place to stop before returning on a long drive home. We enjoyed relaxing in the spacious dining room with evocative upscale cabin decor. As I finished typing this, my spouse chimed in, "Not amazing, but pretty good." And in a touristy area where restaurant quality can be hit or miss, pretty good is exactly that: pretty good. We'll take it.

First off, the service was EXTREMELY slow. We were greeted and seated promptly and our beverage order was taken right away and those came out promptly and our food order was then taken. And then the stafff disappeared. All four of us finished our sodas *and* a glass of water. We weren't chugging them. We were engaged in conversation and just enjoying ourselves, but we managed to drink that much. I had to go flag down our waitress for refills. The food took more than 30 mins to come out. The waitress was very nice, but she didn't check on us while the food was cooking (disappeared that whole time), didn't check on us again after first bites, and we had to flag her down again for the tab. They looked pretty well staffed for the front of the house. I counted 3 waitresses and 2 bussers for what looked like about a dozen tables with people at them. Not sure what the deal was. The food was fantastic though as were the non-alcoholic specialty drinks. Maybe they just need more kitchen help? And make sure the wait staff keeps up checking on the patrons, especially with such a long wait. An apology would have been nice as well for the delay.

We had a much longer wait for pie at Betty's, and were lucky to get a parking place at all. It was mobby, and it wasn't even the weekend! There was about a 10 minute wait to order at the outdoor window, and a 15-20 wait for our slices. Most of the people ahead of us seemed to be getting pie shakes. In addition to the apple pie slice, we bought a toffee cream one. We ate it soon after our visit. It was delicious. The pale crust reminded me of shortbread, the filling light, sweet, and creamy, with what seemed to be Heath bits throughout. It was great and surprisingly not filling at all. As for the apple pie comparison, Betty's version was more cohesive a crust and easier to eat, but it was also surprisingly bland. The thicker crust at the edge was dry, too. The fillings from both bakeries were quite close, both good. From Betty's, we liked the cream pie slice much more than the apple. For classic double-crust apple, Rustic was best between the two.

I'm from NJ but a friend from MN recommended this place telling me it's the best beer in the state. I visited on a Saturday in August and it looks like a lot of others agreed because it was absolutely slammed my whole time there. They had three lines at the bar for ordering beer and all three were packed with people all the way to the door. The taplist featured a nice variety of beers including a Märzen, a lime lager, a cream ale, a stout, etc. Almost no two beers were alike. I had a flight and the beers I had were good, but nothing really wowed me. I've been to over a hundred breweries in NJ and I've never seen THC drinks on a taplist, so that was unique for me. They also had a nice variety of hard seltzers and hard slushies, plus a wide variety of NA options including NA beers. So something for everyone here. Overall a nice spot with competently brewed beers that I would return to if I were ever in the area again.
