There truly aren't enough "stars" OR kind enough WORDS to describe the salon owner (Her name is Van :) ).... Nor is there really a need for ANOTHER 5-star yelp review, as one can see EVERYONE speaks of her and their experience BEYOND favorably! I honestly don't know if I've ever come across any other business on yelp with this high volume of strictly Positive feedback. I first walked in Van's threading salon about 14 years ago (back when she was still operating out of her nail salon located on Pacific Ave., in Lacey)... I have since then moved a FEW times, as far as Seattle and other cities and STILL will make the drive to see her for my threading needs. Living in Seattle I've had the opportunity to 'try' out other threading places out of mere time-restraints etc keeping me from coming to Olympia... SOME of those places even being Indian-operated (threading is often tied to the Indian culture...)* -and STILL, I have not met anyone that can out-do Van!! I've been a loyal customer for 14 years, & honestly that statement ALONE speaks volumes about not only her AMAZING work, but speaks to her as a professional business owner, her ability to consistently provide first-class customer service, and her uniquely pleasant way of bonding and forming relationships with each and every client that comes in. I smiled as I read a few other reviews mentioning how 'she treats [me] like her own daughter' because I've always had that same bond with her myself. She is so wise, and I always learn something new from her about life in general chatting as she threads my face to perfection. Not to mention, her prices can't be beat in this immediate area, and for the service ur receiving, it's a double-win every time. She is located directly across from "Komachin Middle School" on College St. in Lacey, WA. Awesome woman! Van has made me feel beautiful every time I leave her. I have only had the experience of getting my eyebrows threaded. Although, I plan to return next week to get tattoo work done to fill in the places where my eyebrows are unfortunately unable to grow hair again. Not only is Van one of the most sincere women I have had the experience to encounter, she is a professional who establishes a personal relationship with her clientele. A friend introduced me to her and I will never allow anyone else to touch my eyebrows again; her work is amazing. Her pricing is extremely reasonable and she builds a rapport with the people she provides services to; men and women. Even though Van has a high volume of customers, she always finds time to assure she takes care of your needs as well and she's excellent at doing so. Do yourself a favor and give her a visit. Best place to go to in the Olympia area! Van takes her time and truly cares about what looks best for each individual client. I started going to her when I attended a local college and lived in Lacey a few years ago. Now that I have moved up north to Auburn, I still make the time to commute and get my brows done by her. I have referred over 5 family and friends, all of which are return customers. Van is truly a kind, humble woman who enjoys her work and making others feel wonderful and confident about themselves. I have yet to meet someone who has had a poor experience. I love Van, I was recommended by a friend a about two years ago and have been going to her since then. I'm normally not someone who cares for their eyebrows too much, but I still see her when I really need it. We have gotten to know a bit about each other and she knows how to do anyones eyebrows by their personality. She is a true perfectionist and this is a special talent of hers. She not only does my eyebrows, but also my bf and she does a great job. Keep in mind that the location can get a little busy to get in and out of. I was looking for a threading place one day and came across Vans eyebrow threading. I am so glad I did, I don't think I will ever let anyone touch my eyebrows again after seeing van! My skin is so sensitive it can't handle waxing so I have to do threading but it is difficult to find a place that does it. Van takes her time and really shapes your brows to your likely, she is so diligent. She really does an amazing job! She has hands that were "gifted from god". Van is such a professional ! I found her here and haven't gone to anyone since my first visit. She takes her time to make sure that her work suits your face, which is reassuring. (I mean, try entering "eyebrow disasters" in your browser and see what comes up!) I actually had someone compliment my brows, which is kinda weird but also super cool! I had been telling my mom for years that she needs to fix her eyebrows. She always plucked them herself, but she always made them look funny. I tried to telll her that she needed to make them look less like a coma, you know the punctuation mark. She always had a big round ball at the inside and then the arch coming off of it, but it looked like a sideways coma, or maybe a little sperm lol. So, anyway, she finally decided to let someone else do her eyebrows and it turned out perfect. This lady made them look soooo pretty! Yay, Mom! Van is very sweet and extremely meticulous about her work. I always leave happy. You can get your brows done for $12 which can't be beat -- and your whole face -- including brows, upper lip, chin and everything for $35 which is a super deal. I also often get my eyebrows tinted for an additional $12 because they are greying. Even though my brows are thin and I am trying to grow them out from long-time overplucking she makes them actually look thicker than they did when I went in! This was my first time having my eyebrows threaded. I'd always just plucked here and there randomly at home. I didn't know what to expect and was feeling timid when I arrived, but Van made me feel very comfortable. I decided to splurge for the whole face and gee was I glad afterward! Amazing service! I was gonna start doing them myself because the last place I went to messed mine up but I I thought why not and tried this place out.
