Took my mom to get a new pair of sandals as her feet swell really bad due to her kidney disease…read more The really nice gentleman working there ( forgive me for forgetting your name ) helped my mom - that old fashioned kind of help - he got the foot measurement thing and measured both her feet and then helped to find the right sandals for her feet that would be big enough for her bigger ankles and guess what - he found a perfect sandal that she can walk in and she loves . This pair of sandals has adjustable straps behind the ankle and on top of the foot and over the toe area. You only have to open the one strap over the top of the foot to put the shoe off and on. If by any chance her foot swells up more we can even add more strap by going to a shoe repair and add more to this specific sandal . All I can say is that you made my mom feel so special by helping her that day with your old fashioned shoe expertise , my words can't thank you enough . Thank you and I hope others go and check out the amazing shoes you have. You can find some incredible walking shoes. if you are going on a cruise or traveling to any Countries and doing any long hikes or walking tours check this store out . I got home that day realizing the fit was too narrow/tight for my high arched feet and made the decision to rerun the shoes. I went into road runner the next day, Wednesday, to return the shoes. (mind you I did not buy the membership because it was $19.99(?) plus $49.99 annually on top of the already $160 shoes.) This is when I was told by a manager named Alexis, that I had worn the shoes - when I in fact had NOT worn the shoes besides trying them on in store- and he wasn't going to give me my money back. I told him that he was wrong and needed to give me my money back. He gave me my money back very reluctantly ensuring me he didn't believe me. He told me he remembered me "not buying the membership" and that he remembered the shoes being clean and unworn on Tuesday. I left the store in tears over the interaction. Later, once I had calmed down, I realized I had taken photos of the shoes in store on Tuesday prior to buying them. It came to my realization that Gary and Alexis had sold me the floor sample shoe without telling me and then proceeded to blame me for the shoes being worn. After being treated so poorly, I will never be going back to road runner.

Everyone greeted us, helped us with sizing, and was all around nice. Quality: This store is large with a ton of selection. Value: I was very excited to find a pair of shoes for $20 cheaper than offered on the Nike app. So in my eyes the pricing was very fair. There were several other shoes in a clearance area that had a nice price drop. Overall: I was very pleased with my visit. What many people don't understand is that his business, his passion, is to set people up with the right shoes for their feet. It's his reputation on your feet. I have never found him rude or arrogant; he is direct and knowledgeable. If you treat him like a shoe servant, if you expect him to sell you anything you want on a whim, you are giving up his expertise and making a mistake. If you want to get in and out with a quick pair of flip-flops or ballet shoes in the same color as your new sundress, go to Payless. (And by the way, he has very comfortable flip-flops too.) But if you want your feet to be comfortable and happy in your shoes, make the initial appointment and spend a little time with Mario. He will focus on you only, and explain why he won't sell you that walking shoe you spotted when you came in. He'll find the right ones and fit them properly, with orthotics if necessary. It's a shame customers who recommend Comfort Shoe Loft to friends do so without telling them to make an appointment. They have already done that, and they know how it works. For new folks to show up expecting immediate gang service like REI or even self-service like Payless, it can be a shock - especially if they aren't expecting to spend some time. With that information available to her, Roseann is excellent at serving you when Mario is busy with someone else, and Mario will advise when appropriate. My first visit was to find a nice-looking pair of shoes I could count on for a lot of walking on a trip to Ireland, and a pair of sandals for the same reason. I have high arches and pronated ankles. I was surprised at the time he spent with me. As someone else has mentioned, there were shoes he wouldn't let me buy, and he told me exactly why. I was very happy with both pairs I got. I still have them and I still love them. Since then I have been in to see Mario many times. He has fit me with work shoes, sandals, walking shoes, sneakers (athletic shoes), and even slippers. I have recommended him to co-workers, friends, my husband, and even my doctor. Don't listen to the complainers, the impatient, the arrogant customers who fly to Yelp to whine about mistreatment and dashed expectations. I work in customer service; I get it.
