I was traveling out of state and I forgot to pack a pair of tennis shoes. Being a size 15 it is very hard to find shoes that fit in any in person big box store without having to order them online. I didn't have time to order online and wait so I called and luckily they had three pairs of size 15 and they placed them on hold for me until I arrived. Once I arrived the shoes were ready for me to try on and I walked out with a new pair of new balances in my size that fit me well and look sleek! First time at this store. I ordered online to pick up in store. My order was ready and the transaction was seamless. I was greeted and helped by Syd. I decided to walk through the store to be sure there was nothing else I couldn't live without. lol - I found a fabulous backpack/lunch bag combo in my all time favorite color (hot pink) on the clearance rack. Seeing that the clearance section was also included in their BOGO 50% deal, I grabbed some clearance socks for my daughter. What a fabulous deal! Both for under $30 - that's a deal, for sure! I actually like this store. They keep everything organized and clean. If I can't find something in my size, the associates would order them for me, Some of the ladies are very nice and always happy to help, only one or two just never smile. They always have the specials, Buy One Get One for 50% off. But if you end up returning one of the two items, then you have to pay full price for that item and their prices are not particularly low on their regular price items. read more

I'm all for being asked but if I decline I don't want someone being persistent. She asked if I was wanted to make a donation to which is nicely declined. Today I visited Off-Broadway Shoes with my 10-year-old autistic child, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. At 10 o'clock in the morning, the store was almost empty with only two other customers, yet the music was blaringly loud. When I politely asked the staff to lower the volume, I was told they would not change it. I understand so I helped my son adjust to the overwhelming music and we moved through it. We picked out five pairs of shoes to try on, but every single shoe had a security tag. I asked if they could remove the tags so he could try them on, as he has sensory issues. I was told no that they will only remove the security alarms after we purchase the shoes. I tried to explain what we needed and why and that we had no intention of stealing shoes. The store associate replied "you would be surprised how many people steal shoes." She was simply not interested in assisting in any way. This experience made it clear that Off-Broadway Shoes is not autism-friendly, and I cannot support a business that operates with such disregard for customer needs. It's just socially rude. read more

Today I accompanied my lady friend to Off Broadway to seek shoes for an upcoming wedding. What greeted us was row upon row of every conceivable shoe for the female foot imaginable and, for the first time in my experience, knowledgeable salespeople to assist. I was quite impressed. Yes, she found two pairs of shoes. $105 total. Not bad. I was less impressed with the men's shoe section, which appears to have been an afterthought...well, maybe we should include some men's shoes, but not very extensive nor impressive. I came here looking for a pair of work shoes. It's a sizable store with a large number of brand offerings. The women's section is enormous while the men's is less so. Much less so. I was actually disappointed in the limited variety offered by each brand in this store. This is the sort of shoe store that has one shoe on the top shelf for display then it's up to you to find your size amongst the boxes below it. There are several benches to sit and try shoes on. Surprisingly they had one pair of Rockports that were perfect for work and fit well so I purchased them. They had a great sale going on (buy one pair and get the second for half off) but I wasn't thrilled by anything else I saw so just went with the one pair. Staff at the register were friendly and quick. This shoe store is worth the stop but it's a good idea to have some alternative shoe destinations in mind. read more

As a former employee, I encourage everyone to avoid shopping at this store at all costs. I'm not just saying this cause i'm a former employee, I genuinely loved this job until the new store manager Felicia came. There is a high turn around rate for employees here due to her! When I left, there had only been 2 other people left from our old team (this should show how disgustingly she treats her employees) Not only did she treat me like absolute trash, but it is how she treats the entire team there. I understand that she is a manager, therefore she has authority, but that gives her no place to belittle her employees and treat them like peasants. She barely does anything, and throws all her work onto the two assistant managers. The day when I decided I had had enough of her torture was when she gave me a verbal warning. Just a little back story, I am a high school student, and in my 8 months of working there I had only called in sick once. I've also been on quarantine leave but, that doesn't count as calling in sick...I had been exposed and I followed the store policy. Any other time I couldn't make it in, i've found my own coverage or switched shifts with my coworkers. I had a HUGE math test the day after one of my shifts and asked everyone if they could cover. Everyone was busy but this one girl said she could cover me. I called the store and Felicia informed me that she was already working a morning shift (which i was unaware of). Respectfully, I explained that I was unaware and that she said yes to me so I assumed she was available. I then explained that I had a huge math test and really couldn't make it in. She told me "you've done this multiple times, and i'm making note of it. This is your verbal warning". Again, I want to remind everyone that I have only ever called in sick ONCE. There was this girl who used to work there and she's called in sick so many times but never got a warning or anything. I call in sick once and get a verbal warning. I don't know if it's because i'm not white and the other girl is, but whatever it is, it's not gonna slide with me. That's why I left this place and encourage everyone to boycott it as well. I was verbally assaulted by MARCOS! This last trip to Off Broadway was nothing short of a badly acted reality show for ratings, with one exception, it left me traumatized. I should have called the cops. I had my to be purchases in a pile while i was trying shoes on, when a worker named Marcos came over to my area and kicked the boxes of the shoes i was going to buy, also kicking my personal shoes. He began uttering insults ans slams about me the customer to another employee. "These bitches think they can come in here and make a mess!" Completely shocked that he kept touching my personal shoes and the shoes i was to buy, i ended up just leaving without all my finds. I made friends with a customer who saw the whole thing and her husband is a former cop was there couldn't believe how i was treated. It made me to sick. Just had the worst transaction I ever had shopping as a 32 year old woman. I was disrespected as a human, forget the fact I was a customer. We were waiting for 5-10 mins while there were 2 cashiers and 1 who was just standing at the register doing nothing. She finally decided she wanted to help and rang up my shoes. She then charged me twice for something so I told her. She then very aggressively pointed to the screen super rudely and condescending and told me she wasn't done with the transaction yet. Came here during my lunch to browse around for some cute summer shoes. This is in the Plaza de la Paz shopping center which is nice as this center has many specialty shops and typically have pretty good music playing in the background keeping me a happy shopper. :) This is similar to DSW, warehouse setting with many shoe styles to browse around. Plus they have a decent size Men's section. It was not very busy, but still no one came over to check on me or offer assistance. They had big selection of shoes, but nothing really caught my eye. I had seen coupons for this store many times over the past few years but finally decided to use one a month ago. They carry a HUGE selection of different brands and designs. I spent good 2 hours trying on different shoes and going through the clearance section. When one of the staff asked if I needed help, I asked her to take the selected shoes to the front so I could continue shopping. For a minute the look on her face was (REALLY?!?) then she took the shoes with a bit of an attitude. When I was done, I had 5 pairs of shoes. Had a large selection of shoes. I came in looking for a pair of new dress shoes for a wedding. Their prices were good and had a nice deal of BOGO 50% off, and then spend $75 and get an additional $10 off your purchase. I am only giving this place 4 stars because when I went I had to ask them to apply the $10 discount. If I hadn't mentioned it, I would not have received it. Then when I went home and actually looked at the receipt, I noticed they charged me wrong for a pair of shoes that were listed at $54.99 and charged me $59.99. Needless to say after the BOGO 50% off it only amount to roughly 4 bucks with tax. I did not find it worth going all the way back down to Aliso since I lived more than 25 miles away. Just make sure to double check your receipt and that they apply all discounts that you qualify for. Still happy with their selection and prices. read more

Prices are great, love that they have a reward program- you don't need a card, they just pull you up in the system by your last name & zip, then apply the savings/rewards to the sale! TERRIBLE customer service. PLEASE go to the Jamboree location even if you have to drive a little more. They have EXCELLENT customer service!! My story: I bought some converse shoes online and ordered a women's 7, but received a men's 7. Honestly, that's not my fault and didn't get to exchanging until now, which was over 60 days later. In my experience, you can usually exchange things even after 60 days, and even return things for store credit at a lot of stores. Anyway, I went to go exchange the size today at this location, and the girl went to go ask the manager if I can. She came back and told me the manager said no. She said you have to return within 60 days. I said I'm not returning, I'm exchanging. She said that the same rule still applies. I was very upset, and told her that I'll try another location then. (I had to drive another 30 mins just to get to the other location from this location. They wasted my time and gas.) I immediately called the Jamboree location to see what they will say (since they have let me return shoes for store credit after a year in the past), and they told me I can. I'm totally disgusted at this stores exchange policy. I have spent roughly $500 in shoes in the last couple of months. Never returned one shoe, never even exchanged. I bought a pair of tennis shoes ($49 or $59) wore them ONCE and they stretched out to the point my foot was slipping out. I understand there are policies but being in retail I know exceptions can be made. The girl who helped me didn't even bother to look at my purchasing profile let alone the many friends & customers I've referred to that store. Well, back to shopping at Nordstrom and maybe try DSW. I bought a pair of really cute shoes, (Report was the brand name)tried them on and they seemed comfortable. When I purchase the shoes they were already a little dirty on the bottom. I brought this to the attention of the sales girl and she said it was from the carpet. Put them on the next day and wore them for literally 10 minutes and they gave me two terrible blisters. I just went in the store to return them, told the girl about the blisters and the employees seemed put out, I did get a refund but will not return to buy anything because of this. I've been buying all my shoes here for a few years now. Helps that it is in my local shopping center on La Paz. I like the styles most are cute; lots of boots in fall and winter! I wear women's 11 and many, but not all the syles usualy have my size in stock. Salespeople are nice, usually I'm greeted then allowed to browse, self service like Payless, but nicer, much bigger, and with more upscale shoes. The thing that keeps me coming back is every receipt has a discount which can apply to the next visit and they never expire and can be used with shoes on sale! My last visit I bought some cute ankle boots and a pair of tennies, would have been about $100 but with saved receipts and a sale I got everything for $69. read more

First of all I have bought more than my fair share of shoes at this store! However what has prompted me to write a review is their Customer service and or lack of! I brought back a pair of shoes I did not have the box nor the receipt! MY FAULT! The shoes were purchased about 20 days ago and had never been worn! I just wanted to exchange the shoes for a different size! The first sales associate I approached stated I needed either the box the shoes came in OR the receipt! I asked since I purchased it with my credit card there should be a record showing the purchase she stated their system does not work that way! I then asked to speak to a Manager, again the same story! Same response... So there I am standing there waiting for my husband who was also looking for a pair of shoes, and another customer comes in and wants to return a pair of shoes! THIS CUSTOMER HAD THE SHOES INSIDE THE BOX AND NO RECEIPT! The same manager told her she had to have a receipt in order for and exchange and or refund!
