Went in for a quick purchase of shoes and I was immediately greeted by an employee. They offered help asap and weren't hesitant to help with finding sizes for my siblings and I. Rang us up real quick and both guys working that day were friendly and very kind to all 3 of us shopping. Awesome customer service and even when working on a holiday (Halloween). Loved it! The main thing about the company that impresses me is that they have kept up with the times. Their product line started out long ago as a basic, solid tennis shoe. They have since extended that into a vast array of clothing with marketable decorations. For kids (of all ages), there are many selections with markings (at varying levels of obviousness) related to popular movie franchises. They also have reasonable selections of clothing with attractive and/or fun patterns that are less commercial. I took my mother (too old to drive) a few months ago because she wanted a pair of tennis shoes, not knowing about the expanded options. She settled on a pair with a very colorful array of flowers on it and, since then, has never stopped gushing about her "fun shoes." :-) read more

They have a pretty big store. Quite a lot of shoes and clothes. But it's usually not busy except when they are having sales. Staff are friendly but since it's never busy, they'll pester you until you buy something. I think they need to have more sales and advertisements. read more

The people that work at vans are so unhelpful. They're also lazy too. I am never shopping from them again. When i went to their store the first time i bought some all black lace up vans the old skool ones. They gave me the wrong vans in the first time and i had to go back cause they were the wrong size. Than when i went back i got them again and when i got home to put them on the box that was for a 8 womens had 10.5 womens size in the box. I now have to make a 3rd trip back up to them. The store manager is so rude and she yanked the shoes right out of my hand. She was not assisting us properly, and the whole time she was being very disrespectful. I would never come back to this store if I am going to be treated like that. She was even mean to her own employees. . I had no idea she was the manager before,and I asked her to speak with the manager and she said "I AM THE MANAGER!"--I do not like the service she was provide if for me, and all her employees. read more

This review is for the customer service I experienced here this week. Enticed by the Yo Gabba Gabba sign outside, DD insisted we go in to buy some Foofa Vans. They were adorable but no price tag was visible. There were 2 employees and no other customers but they did not approach us. So I asked the girl at the register. She did not come over but told me to look inside the shoe. Another shoe we were interested in didn't have a tag so I asked again. She sent over the other employee who looked in the shoe to confirm there was no tag and then proceeded to tell me all the shoes are around $30 but didn't go find the price of that shoe. Was he too busy to find a price for me? I'm getting those Foofa shoes, but the Spectrum location will get my business because the service here was terrible. read more

A HUGE shout-out to Simon at the Vans store TMP for helping me replace a faulty pair of shoes that I had no receipt for. We appreciated his help so much that we bought an extra pair!!! It would have been easy for him to say "sorry ma'am, but he's been wearing these for a few months. Nothing I can do". At that point, I would have become an ex-customer (and I have three kids who all wear Vans!). But instead, Simon has made me a loyal customer. Thank you Simon! I really like this location and customer service hands down is fantastic. I bought several pairs of shoes for my kiddos and by accident the wrong size was given to us.. the shoes were about 1/2 size to big, after I realized my kids had worn all the shoes. I went back and spoke to Simone about the mix up and he was fantastic and took back both pairs I had brought(which were worn) the resized my little girl and even took the pair she was wearing and exchanged those. He was fantastic and provided great serves. Absolutely great customer service, I will continue to shop there for all our needs for the entire family!! Thanks Vans!! read more

This store has gone so down hill. We went in two different times in the last year, and had two different bad experiences. The employees were less than welcoming or helpful both times. Neither time did we get any type of greeting or good-bye. The last time we went in there were 3 employees who seemed more interested in chatting around the register, and got indignant with us when we interrupted them. Too bad for them, because we were there fully intending to buy a pair of two of Vans. We ended up complaining to which they blew us off, so we went to the one in The District. Talk about night and day. All of the employees at the district were wonderful, and really helped to lift our mood. I will never go back to the Irvine store in the Marketplace, their service is no where near what it used to be and no where near the type they give in Tustin. read more

This location stole my identity over the summer when I lived there and frequented their store. On release day for the new Toy Story x Vans line they spent $100 on my card months after I had moved back to the East Coast. There is no way that the ONLY store I visited in California (while I lived there for three months) out of dozens of stores in the area was visited by someone who happened to steal my debit card number somewhere else. I immediately called their store and explained the situation to the manager on duty, he immediately became nervous after I explained someone had fraudulently charged my card in their store while I was across the country. He advised me to call my bank and that was all he could do. I called Vans corporate and was told there was nothing they could do and agreed it was too coincidental. Sketchy management, sketchy employees, sketchy corporate. I love Vans products but the people they have employed have just lost them a long term customer. read more
