I thought that I should look around inside... Wow... It has everything... jazz, top 40, soul, hip hop, ethnic music, CDs, vinyl, movies, used, new, merchandise, and more! Walked in yesterday and got a warm, friendly hello from couple of their employees. They were eager to help me and see what I was looking for. I needed a few cookbooks, couple of celebrity books that always captures my attention and I was lucky enough that they had what I was looking for. If they don't have it, they will order it for you. Once it arrives, you will get an email, a text or a phone call from them to go and pick it up. Don't forget to use your 10% discount at the front. You have to be a member of the store. Store is BIG, clean, nicely organized alphabetically according to what you are looking for. All aisles are easy to navigate and it's pretty quiet in there which I love. I went into this shop to buy a comic for my nephew and was met with some of the worst customer…read moreservice I've ever experienced. I asked about a particular comic and its variant covers. Instead of showing me what was available, the owner became hostile and condescending, insisting I needed to be more specific even though I explained I didn't know what variants existed. When I said I just wanted to see what was available for my nephew, he pushed back again, saying he had too many and didn't put them out. At that point I told him I'd just take the single comic I had in hand. On my way out, I let him know I had been ready to spend a couple hundred dollars but instead left with only a $5 purchase. His attitude literally drove me out of the store. I would not recommend doing business here. There are plenty of other comic shops in Los Angeles, not to mention online options, where you don't have to deal with this kind of attitude.

The store is stocked with all the classics. All you need is a credit card and photo ID. The owner is welcoming and very helpful. We couldn't find the movie we were looking for , but he found it right away for us . This store brought back great memories of when watching a movie was actually a special event. It took some commitment in time and effort to go pick up a movie. The experience of walking around the store to look at the titles, read the back covers, talk to store employees and even other customers about movies they liked. 30 years from now we'll be watching videos of how we used to actually go to grocery stores to buy food and reminiscing of the good old days, you wait and see.
