F150 heading to Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor.

I have a 2017 F150 5.0 Platinum and recently experienced the known water pump failure. Coolant everywhere so had truck towed to Varsity. Nervous taking to dealer but have the Ford ESP for another 4yr/60k period of time. Service team was awesome (shoutout to Chris Graham). Communication was spot on, serviced and completed as promised and all I encountered were friendly and polite. Perhaps I was lucky but I feel they really surpassed all my expectations. I'll certainly return if/when warranty work is required. An additional shoutout to buying the Ford ESP as it was flawless covering towing and repair for $100 (deductible).

$800 later still getting errors. No customer support. No urgency to fix recurring issues.

I took my vehicle in for standard service. It was returned with a series of errors. To fix the errors it was another $800+. Now weeks later the errors returned. When I called to request an appointment they only offered options 3 weeks out. When I asked for help they bounced me to 5 different people then hung up on me. Getting ahold of my assigned advisor Is a hassle and no one else will help me. No customer service!!! Awful communication!! Poor repair - recurring issues. My husband was shocked I was bounced around the way I did - he was right next to me the entire time I was on the phone. He said he should have called to avoid gender discrimination and me getting pushed around.

Just telling me "runs fine"just for it to one week later get a check engine light for the things the diesel has done to the engine/car.

I made this appointment before mid December 2025 and had to wait almost 3 weeks for an available appointment. The day of the appointment,Tuesday,I get there slightly early. I explain to Nick, the service advisor, why I'm there. He proceeds to tell me that they wont be able to look at my vehicle until Friday. Also, that they don't have a loaner vehicle available. I asked, what is the purpose of the appointment then? Nick replies, "the appointment is to get you in the door, not to have the car looked at immediately"... Its one thing not to be able to do repairs immediately or same day... Depending on what the repair is but yes if I've waited almost 3 weeks and have a schedules appointment, you should not need an additional 3 days to just look at my car. Keep in mind I also followed up to ask does the dealership offer walk-ins and the answer was yes. After this exchange, and seeing that I was visibly becoming annoyed with the customer service, Nick conveniently has someone available that can drive my vehicle to check the noise that I brought it in for. The noise that my vehicle is making is not a faint or subtle noise. It's very similar to the noise your car would make if you drive over road rumbles. This only happens when the vehicles RPM is between 1700-2000. Its is not continuous but happens anytime the vehicle is driven. Nick claims both a service tech and the service manager drove the vehicle but couldn't hear the noise. He tried to tell me probably because it's raining. After they claim to have driven the car, they are asking question like "what speed is the car making this noise, etc". Then Nick follows up with telling me he recommends when I come to have my next oil change (which I don't have done there) they can take a look while the car is suspended Or have me drive it and they ride along with me. Theres no way they didn't hear the noise if they actually drove the car. This was a completely blow off and run around about being able to proper check out the vehicle. Setting an appointment, waiting 3 weeks, and taking my car here was the biggest waste of my time and I will never be returning to this dealership!

Have you ever wondered why car sales people have horrible reputations ?…read more Well ... let me tell you MY theory ! It's simply because of the slimy, sneaky, selfish, rude (Mark Brown) Sales Manager & maybe also the sales person I had the 'privilege' of dealing with at Suburban Chevrolet Cadillac in Ann Arbor, MI. Here goes ...  When my son turned 16 in March ... I wanted to get him a car so he could grow in his independence. Sure ... I didn't want to spend too much money ... being this his first car.  I wanted to spend $5,000.00 ... well that didn't go too far ... as there were NO decent cars ANYWHERE for that price.  So ... we settled on a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse for $6,4000.00 at Suburban Chevrolet Cadillac in Ann Arbor, MI.   The car drove nicely, both the interior & exterior were in good condition & the miles weren't super high.  Nothing seemed amiss ... ... ...  We purchased it on the spot ... AS IS ... Those two dreadful words ! Since my son's father & his Uncle are car fanatics ... I decided to not purchase a warranty ... if any were even offered ... I don't remember actually. Shortly after the purchase ... my son & I started hearing a funny grinding noise & my son noticed that the shifting was off.   I took it to my mechanic where he did a flush of fluids & a few other things. A week later I left the country for a week & during that time the problems became so bad that my son's father actually turned the car around because he feared what could happen if he drove any further.  We decided the right / professional thing to do was to speak directly to the sales office.  The sales manager listened ... but the only solution he had was for the service department to look at the car & give results to us later.  Five days later he called with the results.  I'm not kidding when I say that his first few words were "The car is no good."  You heard that correctly ... he admitted that I was sold a bad car ! ! ! And what were the solutions ?  I could spend $800.00 on a flush of some sort or $4,000.00 on a new transmission.   Both of those costs included his help !  Laughable since my mechanic & my son's dad already did such a flush where neither of them came close to $800.000 & NO I am not spending $4,000.00 on a transmission after only owning less than a month. I told him no thank you, I'll come get the car & that we'll never do business with them again !  He said ok & THAT WAS THAT ! How can the sales manager sleep at night knowing full heartedly that he sold me a car that "is no good" ?!?!?  Could he have suggested that they do the flush for me ?  Certainly ! ! Could he have ... suggested that they give me a huge discount on a new car ?  Certainly ! !  Could he have suggested that they take the car back & I buy a new one ?  Certainly ! !  But NO ... Nothing was done to help me out ! !   They got their money & they're set ! ! ! Well ... My family is NOT set, we're NOT happy, we're NOT satisfied at his customer service & we're NOT ever going to say a nice word about this business again ! !  Please do yourself a favor & do NOT give Suburban Chevrolet Cadillac in Ann Arbor, MI a second of your time !

Instead of fixing my sensor - the thing I paid them to do - they lied they aligned/calibrated it and did nothing else. Not to mention, when calling to ask about what they could do to change my opinion/review, I straight up told them that if they would fix the part that they should've (since I've already paid for it) but fix it for "free" (aka don't charge me again???) that I would be pleased and would be more than happy to delete the review. They claimed that they would call me back to see "what they could do" and yet I never heard from them again. It's been over a year and my car's crash sensor was never fixed nor acknowledged again. I have photo evidence of my original review. My original review was: "Very nasty and disrespectful towards women in the service department. Every time I asked a question I'd receive a condescending answer with a cocked head and scrunched face from frank. Very unprofessional. However, when he spoke to my dad or any male - it was with upmost respect." Furthermore they are overpriced and don't do what was asked - again they did NOT fix my sensor.

Very disappointing experience from start to finish…read more The dealership called **us** to confirm that a specific vehicle was available at the Ann Arbor location and scheduled us for a **12:30 PM test drive that same day**. We did not contact them--they reached out to us and assured us the vehicle was there. When we arrived for our scheduled appointment, we were told the vehicle was actually at another dealership. We were then told it had been taken to Dearborn because another customer was interested, but that the sale had fallen through and the vehicle was on its way back. The salesperson assured us it would arrive within a few hours and even offered to have it driven to our house so we could test drive it. Three hours later, I called to confirm everything was still on schedule. I was again assured that the vehicle was on its way. Then, two hours after that, we received a call saying the vehicle had been sold and was no longer available. Whether the vehicle was never actually available or the dealership simply failed to communicate accurately, we were repeatedly given conflicting information and promises that were never fulfilled. We rearranged our day, drove to the dealership for a scheduled appointment, and spent hours waiting based on assurances that turned out to be false. This entire situation could have been avoided with honest, accurate communication. Instead, it was a complete waste of our time and left us with very little confidence in the dealership's professionalism. Based on our experience, I would not recommend doing business here.

After a call to our insurance he got an appointment for a repair but it was weeks away. I was out running errands and passed O'Reilly and figured I would stop in to see if they may have a temporary solution for the side mirror. Now listen, I'm not a car person. I don't pretend to be a car person, I know very little. But I do know when I'm blatantly being ignored and that's pretty. much what happened here. I walked up and down the aisles searching for the mirrors and the guy behind the counter didn't even in look in my direction. I was the only one in the store, hovering over the side mirror replacements, trying to find the matching one for the mirror. I saw him walk by, still nothing. I juggled the big book of parts to look up the number I needed for the make/model of our car and not a peep. Sure, I could have asked for help but at this point I was stubborn. "Ignore me? Fine, I can do that too." Ultimately I wasn't able to find the exact fit I needed but I did get a mirror panel we could cut to size. Better than nothing? I took my purchase up to the counter and once again, the fella barely acknowledged my existence, even while he was ringing me up. And sure, maybe he was having a bad night, or he's just not a talkative person but it either way it wasn't a super pleasant experience. Ironically we never needed to use the side mirror plate as I found the exact size we needed online. So now I have to go back and return the darn thing but I'm not exactly in a hurry to return...
