Back in April, my wife "tasked" me with finding a new oriental rug for our living room. Based on…read moretheir outstanding reviews, I went to MOR and met David Mouradian, the face and, dare I say, personality of this family-owned business. After showing him pictures of our living room and explaining what we seemed to like, David showed me about 10-12 rugs and was very helpful explaining the differences between the styles/patterns, manufacture and quality, as well as appropriate sizing. With his guidance, I boiled it down to four and arranged to have them delivered to the house so we could see what they looked like with our furniture & colors (btw, I highly recommend doing this). My wife and I were so blown away, by how the rugs transformed the room, that we decided to buy one for our dining room as well. Both are hand-woven, tribal patterns from Afghanistan. Since then, I've taken four older rugs in for cleaning and one fringe repair....they look great! David and his team are exceptional at what they do. I could not be happier to have found and worked with a business like this - great experience all around!!

I understand you sign a waiver that states they can't guarantee spots will be removed but in my case they removed the dye from the rug, briefly mentioned it to me when I picked up my rug, never showed me what happened, and still charged me for the full cleaning despite damaging my rug. It seems like whoever was doing the cleaning didn't have enough expertise to know how to treat or clean my rug and irreparably damaged it. The fact that I was still charged the full amount for the cleaning felt disingenuous. They clearly knew they had damaged the rug as they mentioned it to me upon pick up. Not showing me the area affected when I was there felt like they were trying to hide their mistake. Be very cautious when you bring rugs here to be cleaned.

He was also keen to mend another large rug that I did not bring in, but I thought, if he does a good job... paid a hefty deposit of 60% of final payment. I was promised the carpets would be ready 3 weeks later. Three weeks came, I emailed to ask when I could expect them. No response. Emailed again, he said he was traveling - this now the week he said the carpets would be ready. Does this mean his entire operation shuts down when he travels and why did he say my carpets would be ready in a week he knew he would be traveling. I asked him. No answer. I said I no longer wanted him to touch my carpets and that he should immediately refund me and deliver the carpets back to me on his return. He said he would deliver, no word about the refund. Two days later I asked where my refund was. No response. On the day he said he would deliver, by mid-afternoon I called the cops. They offered to go there then, but I was across town. I finished what I was doing and drove to his business, my carpets were where I had left them. Untouched. He offered no apology, no explanation. A staff member cut a check for me. Another loaded the carpets back into my car. I do not know what his real business is, but it is not carpets. Avoid.

Right, a dog who loves the outdoors and can't take his shoes off! I bought the rug anyhow, and after a year I noticed that one side of it looked gray in areas, then I had the "aha" moment that it was where my pup likes to lie. I moved a year ago and just flipped the rug around and bought myself some time. Last month I decided to move again, and looked around to see if this rug was available in a material I could clean at home? No, wool only. I just assumed that sending a rug out for cleaning was hundreds of $$, and that was why I was thinking of calling it a lesson learned and just throw it away. I happened to see a post on NextDoor from someone asking about rug cleaning, and narrowed it down to Boston Rug and Kennedy Carpets. I get up early so I am often emailing at that time, and sent a message to both with details on the rug, size, etc. Received a message from Bahman with all the details, as well as a 20% offer for mentioning "cute dog" (the cute dog on his website is his dog). I said I was moving in a month and would get back to him when I had more details, and when I did, someone came and picked it up the next day and it was back a week later (earlier than expected!!!). I was so anxious to see it when it came back, but was rolled/wrapped up so nicely that I knew to leave it that way for the movers. As soon as I was in my new living room, I unrolled it and it is LIKE NEW!! Hooray!!!! Thanks to Bahman and his crew, I have what looks like a brand new rug again. Thanks so much to them (and the cute dog)!!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - I called to order a rug cleaning before the deadline of a discount promotion I received by text. I spoke with someone who answered the phone, who said the head person was out but I would receive a call back. I never did. - I called back the following week. I set up a pickup date, and I mentioned the discount code I was sent via text as I am in their system. - This discount code was not honored. I failed to notice when I paid the bill because our home is under construction, and when I called back to remind their manager she denied that I was ever sent this. When I explained that I couldn't have dreamed up such a code and it was part of the reason I gave them my business again, she still refused to honor it. - When she called to let me know about setting up the delivery, her tone and her comments were accusatory "arent you reading my emails, I have tried to reach you". I apologized, but she proceeded to say "we cant store your rugs here" - again in a very accusatory tone. The email oversight was my bad, my intention was not. As anyone who has had to go through a renovation knows, details can easily get lost when you arent living in your home space. If you are looking for a company that honors their promotions and has professional customer service, go elsewhere. Boston Rug Cleaning is not your place.

The team, led by Fabio, came in, ripped up carpeting, moved all furniture ( extra cost), installed LVP flooring. The team made whole process from carpet removal, to installation, to clean up efficient with wonderful results. The flooring looked great! Eight years later, in new house. Back to Carpet Liquidators. More carpeting removed: 2 bedrooms, hallway , stairs ( as you can tell not a big fan of carpet). LVP installed with another great job right down to the trim work. Gina, front desk representative, spent time with me picking out stair runner and flooring. While they were here, consulted with Fabio and added on 2 bathroom floors. No problem, no extra wait time. Again, the team members were professional. Next project, 2025, back to Carpet Liquidators. Very small deck off of patio doors leading to backyard. The team came in, ripped off small deck and built 19x10 walk-out deck with white vinyl railings and 2 flower boxes by the stairs. This team worked in the rain and 90 degree heat. I love how it came out, use it daily, and have received multiple compliments. From Gina, front desk representative, to Fabio, lead crew member, this team is great: professional, courteous, respectful of your home, hard-working. I would highly recommend them as I have used this company 3 times now and have been very, very happy with all results. Jackie P.
