Ashley, the instructor for Flow and Deep Stretch, is absolutely fantastic. Her classes are always well organized, welcoming, and effective. She does an excellent job explaining movements, offering modifications when needed, and creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable regardless of level. I've noticed a significant improvement in my mobility, recovery, and overall well-being from attending her classes regularly. VASA is fortunate to have an instructor who is this knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping members succeed. Stairmasters are STILL out of commission. I've been going here for almost a year straight now and I've never seen all of them working at one time. It's INCREDIBLY annoying and frustrating when this problem continues to be an issue. I've seen technicians come out and work on them and they might be back up for a day or two but then they break down. Out of the 7 total (3 actually working) one of them recently got replaced with a new one. I wish they would stop trying to fix them and just replace them, even if gradually. This location and customer service is non-existent. I had questions on why I was receiving notifications for fees and was told by the first gal at the desk it was "an app issue and I don't deal with app issues". So I asked what can I do then, she said to delete the app and reload it. Did that still charging fees for kids care and swearing I'm late paying them. Yet have 2 methods of payment on file and I have no late fees for the monthly membership. Also, dates for which I didn't even go to the gym or sign up for kids care are showing up. I go the next day - same issue. I ask for the dates and was told March 15-21. They can't run my payment do I have a new payment. I ask why my membership is going through they say they don't know and they "waived the fee" come back at 6:00 pm to talk to the general manager because he works out at that time. I get there around 6:15 pm he's not there of course. I go again the next day, this time this person gives me different dates still in March at least for the charges. Still can't process. I go in today around 5:41 am and this person is able to process the payment and tells me to call the customer service number. I called and they say the charges are mostly from October 2023.... This place is a joke absolutely horrible customer service and staff is not trained to assist employees. I will definitely be recommending to my employer they drop this company and gym - HORRIBLE! Update: The corporate office reached out to let me know the location actually charged my card twice - over charged again and I'm being refunded not through my card but on a discount to my monthly membership fee. The tanning bed wasn't working and they hadn't sent any alert notifying members that the wifi was down and no amenities were available. This gym has gone from decent to outright unacceptable. Whether it's the total lack of maintenance or the incompetence of the staff, it's clear that this place has gone severely downhill. Every time I walk in, it's poorly maintained, the employees are standing around, and there's always at least one broken machine, The basketball court is a disgrace, To top it all off, I've heard disturbing things about a personal trainer, Cory Chen who has been beating women. I started when it first opened and it was great. They had a cleaning couple and a maintenance person. Everything was kept clean and working. FAst forward to today. The place is never clean, the lockers look like someone blew their nose all over them, the showers have mold and the floor is disgusting. The steam room floor was slimy. I was in Denver on business and needed to find a gym close to my hotel. It was between Vasa and a Planet Fitness, but I chose Vasa due to them having better equipment and the fact that PF is a less hardcore experience. There is good and bad here. The good is that they have nice equipment and lots of free weights. The dumbbell selection was impressive. The bad is that it was ridiculously crowded in the evening. I tried my best to find things to do, but literally every machine and bench was taken. When I did finally find a bench open I had to stake claim to it quickly and try and get all of my dumbbell exercises in. I was able to grab one cable machine and get some exercises in, but it took a while. I was never able to get a bench press in and finally gave up after waiting for far too long. I ended up leaving the gym with a half decent workout, but ultimately feeling frustrated. The single use fee was $15 and I felt like I should have been able to get a decent workout. If I lived in the area and was going to join a gym, I wouldn't pick this one unless I could work out in off-peak hours. read more

Been coming here for 3 years now and this place has doubled down on being the worst vasa. The balls are un usable the facilities are constantly down for maintenance and when they are available they are downright disgusting. They spend 3 months rearranging and painting the interior and instead of doing it over night or in a smart fashion they pushed the entire gyms equipment into a half of the gym and thought it was okay to have machines and people hitting each other while working out. I was in town to visit my brother-in-law for a few days and I was itching to get a workout in so he brought me here with his membership... first off, this place is huge and definitely the biggest gym I think I've ever been to... which I'm sure is nice when it's a busy time, but just be prepared to walk a little bit for some things. We did a quick chest workout and I had no issue with any of the equipment. I didn't notice the pool/spa and sauna until the end of our workout which would've been nice to use... but definitely a huge plus in my book and I would definitely come back again for another workout read more

The gym itself is not necessarily what i have an issue with. The equipment and machines are all fine.. what the real problem is charging 10 bucks for membership when all it does is attract thieves, as I've personally had a Nike blue long sleeve stolen from the sauna and also some cross-training shoes stolen from the mens locker room. I've been going to vasa for a few months now and I really like the classes they offer. kickboxing is my favorite and I LOVE the instructor.

Would give a 0 if I could. I had paused my account while I was moving and was confirmed that it was paused by the front desk. Fast forward a few months and I find it was not and they were charging me for the months. Talked to a rep and we came to a solution. Get an email today that that solution was not held up on VASA's end and they are charging again. It's unfortunate because I like the gym but I just feel scammed. This place is disgusting! I cannot count how many times I walked into the bathroom and saw fecal matter all over the floor and toilets. I'd guess this was the case 80-90 percent of the time. Canceled at the Quincy location but they keep charging me and are refusing to refund. Even though I have email confirmation that my account was canceled almost a year ago they still reactivated my account and charged me $70 fee plus monthly fees. After two rude employees I got a call back from a manager who said that she could not do anything about it and in order to get it canceled AGAIN I have to come into the gym. Straight up theft. If you have ever done business with Vasa, know that they must keep your credit card info even after you have canceled several months in the past. She owes them about $100 and CANNOT CANCEL until she pays the amount owed, PLUS a month fee as a cancellation fee." Vasa Fitness has no customer service at the location - you must call a sister corporation at 801 426 8644 that handles billing and "customer service." (Quotes are intentional.) After over 90 minutes of waiting, I finally talked to Lori, who made excuses, offered no apology and told me my developmentally disabled adult daughter to go on the app and cancel. My daughter tried while I was with her, and the app would not let her cancel. She had to call back (again) and is still waiting for a call back. Make sure that you have everything in writing and I even suggest recording your conversations during your enrollment because if one of their staff miss-speaks about an amount or charge or anything you have proof to get your money back!!! I personally experienced this, my enrollment agent was very nice but her mistake was not being clear with verbiage which she apologized for but the apology isn't going to bring back the negative in my account or the surcharge amount from that! The sauna doesn't get hot enough 80% of the times I've been in there and the steam room has a small gap under the door which is not sealed properly and causes it to cool down too fast! I have been to so many sauna and steam rooms around the country and world and that's what I'm comparing it to, not just one other gym. I joined this gym when they re-opened in July, and was promised they were adhering to public health orders. This simply isn't true. The staff doesn't enforce the use of masks and I'd estimate about a fourth of all people there either aren't wearing one or aren't doing so correctly. There's even a woman who enters the facility every Saturday morning and RIPS her mask off as if she's defying some authority, except for she's doing nothing more than impacting the greater good. I canceled and was promised a refund on my annual club fee. Nope...they rescinded that. I'll be disputing the charge with my bank for the flagrant disregard for public health orders. As far as social distancing enforcement...that's only for cardio machines and nowhere else on the gym floor. Also, members are the only ones doing any sort of cleaning. Lockers are also allegedly off limits right now, but they're still getting used because of the poor accountability and outright mismanagement of the situation. Not exactly a good look all the way around during a pandemic. Beware...once they get your money, you don't matter to them. read more

Wether it be dodging gym bags that riddle the floor, careless employees that are constantly scrolling (IG, FB, etc.) , or the fact that the place is filthy.....I would say 25% of the equipment is either broken or falling apart. And for people that call this "cap" I literally laid on a flat bench Wednesday Nov. 30th to do DB bench press and the seat LITERALLY fell off, no screws holding it in at all, and I almost fell onto the floor with my weights in hand. When I brought this up to the employee at the gym regarding how close I was to injuring myself, their response was "when you sign up for your membership you wave your rights, and the gym isn't responsible for injury.....?" I need to update my review now that I've been a VASA member for over a year. I love this gym. The amenities can't be beat for the price. I honestly only use about 25% of what this gym has to offer - mostly the classes and the massage chairs, but it's nice to know that I've also got the option to tan, play racquetball, or go for a swim. The classes are great. The instructors are awesome. The ladies who attend the classes are very friendly and encouraging and well all help each other set up and break down equipment. They have a Facebook group that allows us to keep in touch between workouts. I do wish VASA had classes between 7-8am, but other than that, I really can't complain - there's a great selection of morning, daytime, and evening classes most days. I don't think it's fair to hold a gym account for its clientele, but I must say that from what I've seen, the people who go to this gym treat it well and are good about cleaning down equipment pretty consistently. The only issue I've experienced at VASA has been with trying to redeem reward points. It took me the better part of a month to get a bottle I'd ordered and I eventually had to get a manager involved to get it done. It's kept me from making other redemptions I've been interested in. It's a free perk so I'm not going to get that worked up about it. read more

Such a disappointing experience all around. The facilities are never clean, the men's locker room and bathroom stink of urine and mold, and the staff are inattentive to issues. When you have a question or want to ask the staff to pay attention to something that is dirty or broken, you have to interrupt them from having personal conversations or surfing on their phones. The turnover of staff is very high and the only people who act like they care are the sales people because to them, everybody is a commission on a membership or upgrade. The gym is perpetually crowded and the equipment is not being maintained to keep up with the wear and tear a lot of use causes. On top of that, cancelling your membership requires that you pay an extra month of dues. So buyer, beware. read more

I like this gym, but there is a lot of new employees and they are not nearly as good. They have been turning the music up very load and it's hard to listen to your own headphones. Literally everyone has headphones for a reason, they don't want to listen to the gym music. Also a lot of the equipment is broken and dirty. In terms of equipment, this place gets a 5/5. I started going as a "guest" last fall while staying with a friend. I then decided to move here and signed up for the mid-level membership ($20/month with a lot of benefits) and the flexibility to visit any of their locations. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only reason I gave this review 4 stars is the state of the women's bathroom/locker room. Love this gym. Would recommend! read more
