DO NOT HIRE VASILE FOR YOUR FLOORING PROJECTS. We hired him to do a wood floor refinishing job to change the color and he completely ruined our floors, did not stand behind his work to fix them, lost a lawsuit we filed against him regarding this, and still has not paid his collections debt. After his job, our floors were peeling like elmer's glue before we even put our furniture on them. It was so bad we had to hire someone else to come out and fully strip the floors down to bare wood again and redo the whole job, which was not only a huge time and money suck for us but also will reduce the lifespan of our floors. We had 3 other flooring contractors come out to assess and they unanimously told us the issue was due to improper finishing by Vasile. Vasile was extremely rude and tried to blame us when we hadn't even been in the house or put down furniture until he told us it was safe. He ultimately refused to fix them or refund our money. He was clearly in the wrong as evidenced by the courtroom battle he lost; however still has not paid. I had my floors refinished about a 1.5 years ago. The floors looked amazing and I was thrilled with the results. I needed water based finish due to my severe asthma, and it has not held up at all. I was assured that the finish would be durable in high traffic areas. There are scuff marks from shoes everywhere, which is ridiculous, and they do not come off. Very disappointed. **Update** Vasile reached out within hours of my post today. He will come by in a week to inspect the floors and offer a solution. The misadventure started with water damage in my home. The old refrigerator had a leak and i came home to warped floors and damaged drywall. I needed help right away and called several contractors reviewed multiple estimates as well Vasile showed up the very next day, on a Sunday--when no one else was willing nor able to meet. He went in detail how the condo unit would be repaired, and we decided to make the most of it and install nicer engineered hardwood flooring, baseboard, thresholds, new areas of drywall, and paint. I would be very careful working with Vasile flooring. After reading the reviews on Yelp, and seeing his work at my office, I decided I would give him a refinishing job for my home flooring. They did a great job except for 1 boot print left in the middle of the room. There was no sign of this being a pre-existing issue. I informed Vasile of the issue and politely requested he come take a look at what happened and discuss options for resolving the situation. I was immediately blamed for causing the issue. To quote "you must have walked before it was dry, that is your dad's boot print, not my workers" I tried to explain that the print was in the middle of the room, and therefore, it's very difficult to comprehend how it was possible for someone to reach that spot without resulting in other boot prints leading up to it. After understand this, Vasile changed the story to say that his workers actually saw the print when they were working on the floor, "it was already there when we started stripping the top surface of your floor" We never saw this at the time, but even if it was there at the time, I would expect a top notch professional company to notify the homeowner and come up with a solution before applying a clear coat polish on top of it. After much back and forth, Vasile finally agreed to have his guys come out and fix it, and he warned me that the finish may not be an exact match. My expectation is that his company attempts to resolve the situation as best as possible, or reimburse me for the work that was done such that I can refinish the entire floor again with another company. That is good customer service. In any case, he decided to attempt to repair and sent his worker out to repair, and what we were left was a severely damaged floor from where we started. Upon discussing this with Vasile again, I was reminded that I knew the risks, he rehashed the fact that it was my father's shoe print, upon again reminding him of the location in the room, he rehashed that his workers saw it there before they started working, and finally ended with him saying, and I quote "I am no longer willing to argue with a 20 year old kid with no common sense" . Vasile, if you read this review, I'd like to inform you that I am a 31 year old professional engineer, and this is no way to talk to anyone and treat your customer. You did a job here for less than 1,000 dollars, and if insulting your clients is worth your trade off of keeping that sum of money, I wish you luck because I like many others use Yelp for reviews, and I hope my warning is read by other customers. Like many of your other customers have noted, your work is great most of the time, but when it's not, you should not resort to hostility, insults, and blaming your customers for defects. Own up to the mistake and fix it. I mentioned to you that if this was not resolved, we will have an issue, that was not a threat, that was my pledge that I would make sure other customers reading this are aware of how rudely you treated us and would repeat this story with the BBB, and any other review site I can so customers are well informed. read more

Vasile quoted us a price very quickly. We communicated on Saturday and he was ready to go on Monday. We, however, were not. He was very flexible. We scheduled for the next week and his team of men arrived on time and started working immediately. Because they were connecting two areas that were not being refinished, there was a chance that the new floors would not match. The crew chief stripped a small area and applied two "like" stains for us to look at for a match. The stains were very close and the newly sanded and refinished floors look beautiful! All of the open areas and cabinetry, refrigerator, etc, were covered in plastic and taped off. The men were very polite and courteous.
