    Hot honey

We always like to try new restaurants in town and pizza/gelato i am in. The service was prompt and friendly as we were greeted right when we walked in. We ordered the burrata and hot honey pizza and my biggest complaint was the lack of toppings on the pizza, there was just not much per bite. I know this pizza is not supposed to be overwhelmed with toppings but other places like Tommy's strikes a better balance to me. I would come back and try other items on the menu.

Came here with my son for Father's Day. We ordered two beer from draft and they were nice and cold. We ordered two beer three pizzas, a Margherita, Funghi, and a Vodka Rosa pizza. All three came out cold and soggy. For a bill that was 103 bucks, I would expected better quality of a pizza, I would understand if one came out cold but all three, very disappointing. The service of the girls was good, they were polite. The ambience was ok, nice outdoor seating. I would NOT recommend this place. I normally would try a place again but the pizzas that were served were not good.

Service was great, spritz were delish. Gelato tasted a bit more like ice cream. Tried the cookie butter flavor. Pizza was delish. The cream on top made it a bit on the colder side which was the only slight downer but everything else was great. Outdoor patio was comfy and clean. Will be going back soon.

Tonight we decided to give Vecchio's a try after seeing a few friends post positive things on Instagram. Parking is pretty easy at this shopping center because it is a new build and not all the suites are full. Loved that there is lots of fake grass and seating outside that my toddler could run around on prior to entering the restaurant. Staffing today was minimum because, as one can assume, an early dinner on a Wednesday night is not so popular. Only 2 other groups were seated when we arrived. When we left, there were 3 other groups being served in the dine in areas. There were also a few group who came in for Gelato to go while we dined. The staff did an AMAZING job multitasking and staying on top of things. Food came out quickly, not really a wait for anything, didnt ever need to flag our server down. It was awesome. Since it was a first visit, we ordered big to try a lot of things. We got a flatbread sandwich, a Margherita pizza, and a Caesar salad. I was really impressed with all the food. It was super fresh and enjoyable flavors. The salads are HUGE. Bring a friend. We also ordered Gelato/sorbet. My daughter had strawberry, I had raspberry champagne, and my husband isnt sure what flavor he ordered but it seemed like a vanilla chocolate chip or similar to? All were delicious! I wish I could have ordered an even smaller scoop than the small though. Overall, I loved the decor. The vibes were great. Playlist had some amazing music from 50s/60s and Italian tunes. We ate at sunset outside and it was just so relaxing!!!! I just wish the lights on the patio came on a bit sooner. But really, that is me trying to find a critique! Truly such an enjoyable experience and we will definitely be back in the future.

Fig burrata pizza yummy! I do wish it was more fresh figs rather than jam like, it makes it more sweet than savory maybe fresh figs when in season. Gelato also really good, service was nice too. Will def try it again!

These pizzas are not your ordinary ones, so approach them with an open mind! I tried the fig, prosciutto, and burrata pizza and the hot honey pizza. Both were very delicious, featuring freshly made dough and high-quality ingredients. Despite being almost closing time, the staff was friendly and helpful. They greeted us with smiles and answered all our questions to help us decide. It is relatively new so they don't have their beer and wine license yet. However, they have draft lines ready to go, so for now, they only offer canned sodas and refreshments. I would say the food is for sophisticated consumers with an expansive palette, but their gelato is sooo good and worth trying if you're not a fan of the food. I sampled a few flavors, but the pistachio was my absolute favorite! The overall vibe and aesthetics of the restaurant complement the shopping center perfectly

Came on a friday night and this little place was packed! We had to sit outside with the heaters. So heat in the face. Cold legs under the tables. We started with the insalta vecchio. I feel like the salad has been sitting in the dressing for a while. It was limp, sad, soggy. Not a fan of the salad at all. It is horrible for the price. The dough is apparently flown in from Italy. It is definitely a different dough. This is just a different type of pizza that you may be used to. My husband kept complaining saying he still loves his domino's but atleast we tried it. Hot honey pizza- not a lot of meat. Hot honey has a nice little kick of heat. You taste mostly dough and get the after heat of the hot honey. Diavola pizza- husband said basic. Great dough. Waitress was nice. She was very enthusiastic. She provided recommendations which we had. We only ate half the food so there's room for gelato....winner for the night, we both chose tiramisu! She said that it's probably the most popular. The price is high. (Duh...location). You should share the pizza if you can. Would we eat here again? Probably not. Husband didnt care for it and i don't think I would crave it. But atleast we tried it, right?

I was very excited for an Italian place to open up right around the corner from me. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. I know they are newly opened, so hopefully they take the feedback as a positive and improve. We ordered the ricotta with honey and pistachios. The ricotta came out cold (cold, not even close to room temp or warmer). The baguette slices served along with the ricotta was toasted, but it must have been toasted the day before because the bread was also cold. The beet salad was good. It definitely tasted fresh. While I didn't have the pizza, it did smell very good. I'll give in another shot and hope for a better experience next time. They did give us samples and a free scoop of gelato. It was good.

Showed up unplanned after running errands on a Saturday. Honestly felt a little under dressed lol. Never been in the area but it's a pretty nice vibe. Our waitress was awesome and informative. We shared the hot honey pizza and the fig prosciutto burrata pizza. Afterwards we also got dessert and I was shocked at how well the strawberry balsamic pepper paired so well. I think we found a new spot we'd enjoy coming back to!

We were in Bakersfield and decided to try them because we wanted Neapolitan pizza. The location is is a newer part of town. The restaurant itself is also new inside, really nice. It's clean modern decor. It has a patio if you want to sit outside. They have a large beautiful wood fired oven that is the center piece of the restaurant. The staff member was really nice and helpful. I believe her name was Andrea (please forgive me if I remembered it incorrectly). We ordered one Neopolitan pizza. It was a nice 12 inch size, enough for 2 people to share. We did ores a sandwich to go (with looks fantastic) but we have not tasted because we are still full. We also had a scoop of their amazing gelato. It was so delicious. Honestly I would drive to Bakersfield to have pizza here again. It was an overall excellent experience. My only knock on the place is that the pizza had ash on the underside. I feel like they should maybe wipe down the oven floor after they get the fire going before they launch any pizza in there to avoid ash getting on. Our fingers were grey after grabbing the slices.

Vecchio's was great! Our server Natalie was the best! She was attentive, friendly, and offered great recommendations. We enjoyed Pizza, Caesar salad, charcuterie board and gelato for dessert.

But, things got better and I decided to accompany my party. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our server who displayed a genuine smile and kind voice. Upon returning to get our orders and asking me my choice, I chagrinned and said "Well, do you have a very fresh banana that is not ripe and possibly some peanut butter topping?" Our server immediately and unhesitatingly said "Let me go and check!" Upon returning, our server had the very unripe banana in hand, and showed it to me to get my approval! Wow, talk about customer service! Impressive! Our server then returned with banana cut up in a nice glass dish (those are becoming extinct) and the peanut butter topping (sauce really) and I went to town. It was delicious. Returning to our table, our server looked at me and said, "Here is another peanut butter sauce topping on me!" I was so taken aback, I just stared at our server and then our server said "My Momma always told me that some days folks need extra kindness..." to which I gasped in amazement and began to get very emotional. Whilst tears were running down my face, I said, "You'll never know just how very much this means to me. I will NEVER forget you!" Our server said, "Oh, that makes my day and makes me so happy!" Our server's first name starts with an "A", and that is not at all surprising. To me, that "A" stands not only for our server's first name, but also for AMAZINGLY AWESOME! Usually the owner on shift, and he's very very friendly and overall down to chat about the latest things or anything going on. Am I biased then in this review then? Definitely. Plus, they got dippin' dots right by check out (hard to find them in my case). When you go to a place a ton, and you've occasionally decide to take a breather and sit down with your sweet-treat, just trying to let time pass. I go there. And it's so swell that the owner is so chill about that, just a nice atmosphere and he'll occasionally ask if you're doing alright, lend an ear, ask about your day. He legit (not joking I have examples) cares. He cares for the customers. One instance, a construction worker came to get a cup to-go as he worked nearby, and wanted to get a treat for his daughter back home. When the owner found out he was gonna make a drive all the way to Taft, he... and I'm so serious. Went to make a small ice contraption-cooler so it would be safe travels and hopefully not melt till then. And it was just one small order!? This happened somewhere mid-last year but I remember. Another instance. I wanted a sweet treat before I left back home, but my keys battery had died (and that's a first). I bought the batteries and everything but had no clue how to open up my key and fix it. And (yes I'm a girl) but I really got scared my nails would break if I tried (and maybe even failed) to pry it open. At checkout I asked if he could open up the battery pack with scissors (I was gonna try to do it myself with a YouTube video at the table), guess what. Owner OFFERED to change out the battery for me. And did. Said he had similar experience for mine and did it just out of the kindness of his heart. Remarkable really. And while he was doing that, he was helping customers and holding conversations with his regulars while multitasking, but he swapped out the batteries for me and saved me a WHOLE hassle. Eternally-eternally grateful. I don't know if there's a max word count, but those are my two biggest moments that solidified that I'd really be coming back. Really is a staple place people return back to, I've seen it. Many families stop by and they like the owner too. They all hold conversations and sit down. It's a very very welcoming place. Also, 10% for students with student ID. I rest my case, best EVER Tutti Frutti place I've ever gone to.

I remember experiencing similar treatment from the same owner during COVID, but those restrictions have long since passed. As a capable adult, I found it confusing and frustrating to be reprimanded for using a setup that clearly appears intended for customer self-service, with cups readily available for customers to take and the machines visible in the lobby just like all the other self serve yogurt establishments. What bothered me most was not being served, but the manner in which I was addressed. I left feeling embarrassed, judged, and unwelcome. If customers are not permitted to serve themselves, the business should clearly operate as a full-service establishment with menus and staff taking orders. Instead, I was made to feel as though I had done something wrong for following what appeared to be the normal process. This was my second negative experience of this kind at this same Tutti Frutti, and unfortunately it will be my last visit. Customer service is about making people feel welcome and respected, and I will not forget how this Owner made me feel a second time.

Technically this was only my second time visiting Yogurtland, but this experience completely…read morechanged my opinion for the better! My first visit was MANY years ago and honestly wasn't the best. I didn't really understand how everything worked and I definitely served myself more than I bargained for which left me with a bad first impression. Thankfully, I decided to give it another shot when my brother and sister asked if we could stop by after dinner for something sweet. Originally I was only planning to buy froyo for them, but after checking out the flavors I couldn't resist trying some myself. They had so many fun options like Birthday Cake and Cinnamon Sticky Bun, but I ended up going with the Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream and Fresh Strawberry flavors. Both were super tasty and not overwhelmingly sweet which I really appreciated. I also kept my toppings simple with cookie dough and peanuts, although there were tons of choices available which made the whole experience even more fun. What I enjoyed most was being able to customize everything and choose the exact portions I wanted. The self-serve setup made the experience feel interactive and stress-free, and the employees were very friendly during checkout. I also noticed the staff actively restocking toppings while I was there, which is always a great sign in my opinion. Overall, I had such an enjoyable visit and now I totally understand why so many people love Yogurtland. I'm already looking forward to coming back and would definitely recommend giving it a try if you haven't yet!

I immediately corrected him and told him not to touch the toppings. The staff member on duty (long brown hair, cheetah-print phone, appeared to be fixing the front door at the time) walked over, and I apologized right away. Instead of handling the situation calmly, she dumped the entire container of gummy bears into the trash with noticeable force and attitude, then told me not to let my child touch anything. I completely understand food safety and had already addressed the issue with my child. The problem wasn't the policy -- it was the rude and aggressive way it was handled. Accidents happen with small children, and kindness goes a long way. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that I'm honestly not sure we'll be returning.
