Disappointed, to say the least! If I base this review on product alone, the rating would be a little higher. I've had gelato in so many cities, including Rome, so I didn't expect for it to be epic, but this one isn't even great. And if I were to base this review on service, it would be a "1" hands down. The man (he was alone) was borderline rude! He acted like we were interrupting his day by coming in. We were a party of 6, with only 2 of us having been there before, and since he wasn't allowing any sampling, I didn't know what to choose. I tried ordering pints to go or served in a cup, but he rudely informed us that he was only selling pre-made bars! Ugh, by then, I was over this fool but because I was treating friends, I had to grin and bear it. I will NOT be going back. This guy does NOT deserve my business! read more

The staff is friendly! And they have so many flavors! I am definitely going to be a regular here! I had the Roasted Hazelnut it's amazing! You have to try this place! Everything is organic. It's a block west of the Burger King/Jack n the Box and about two blocks East from the Tacos Buchon and the Starbucks on the Atlantic and Washington. It's got AC which in the hawt California weather is a good thing. The place is brand new from the floors and the freezers. The flavors are awesome I would highly recommend the Pistachio. That's what I had and I'm glad I did. I would also recommend their other flavors like the Strawberry Cheese Cake. I had mine on a cone for immediate eating but you can buy Gelato by the prepackaged pint or by stick. The stick comes with a very Instagram worthy box that'll help catch all of the toppings that falls off and makes it easier for traveling. read more

Went in today been waiting on the place to open for awhile I said I want strawberry sorbet to go, he put it in the cup & put the spoon in it I said I want it to go he said oh we don't have tops. Why didn't he tell me that or I would have left it there. I'm sure I won't be the only person wanting to go with a top. One of the best Gelato shops in Southern California and this comes from someone that knows authentic Gelato! My wife is from Europe and grew with Gelato her whole life. This reminded us of the great Gelato only found in some shops in Italy. When you taste the Gelato you know the quality is among the best and pure. The owner/founder Brandon was extremely nice to me and my wife. I hope to see his brand soon all across SoCal since it's a great idea and great product! Well ladies and gentlemen I have found Amore 2 which is almost around the corner from home. The place is simple, cute, elegant and very detailed. I'm certain the owner still has some touches to add. I tried a couple samples of their flavors and every flavor took me on an adventure. I ended up ordering strawberry cheesecake and salted caramel in a cup. Boy did I make a mistake. Not in eating this but by combining the two. Which is and isn't a mistake of you get what I am saying. Anywaysss.. each flavor is very intune with themselves. The flavors are so rich and decadent. They are smooth and creamy. Bold in their flavors. Oh so delicious. The flavors are so rich that one flavor over powers the other. You have to be certain of making this decision of choosing two flavors in one cup or cone. I could give you some advice and say doing the I only live once type of way and order single flavors for everything even if it means you will end up getting left with four, five or even six cups. The flavors offered are also in a stick, the only difference is that for a stick it's good to order if you want toppings.
