I am a real carnivore: the only reason I stepped into this place was that it came very highly recommended by someone who had eaten in their Somerville branch. And...it did NOT disappoint. The service was warm and thoughtful. The menu offers a wide variety of well explained dishes. There is food that can make both adults and children happy. We tried the cheese pizza as well as the roti and the tikka masala and they were delicious, fresh complex flavors. Only place in the area that serves paneer pizza. I like their paneer tikka masala pizza but recently yet again they have gone down on the quantity. I used to order pizza from this place every weekend but now I won't. I specifically told them that to ensure they put enough toppings because they are very inconsistent and stingy in putting paneer toppings, not sure when they charge so much money why they are trying to save money on toppings. I noticed their fine in orders aren't this bad but their take outs are pathetic. Despite my numerous requests they dint put toppings. Who puts one small slice of paneer on a large slice of pizza? This is bizarre. Very very stingy pizza outlet. Why do you open a pizza place if you are so frugal that you don't prefer putting toppings. Very very disappointed. The best part of this restaurant is not just that is an haven for vegetarians and vegans but that it has a wide variety of options in pizza. This is the first restaurant I have been to that has pizzas with INDIAN toppings like Pav Bhaji -- which I tried and was very authenticity spice and ACTUALLY tasteD last like Pav Bhaji on a pizza crust!!! I will definitely visit again and try Manchurian and Tikka Masala Please pizzas. I also tried the Avocado Corn Vegan Panini - very fresh and tasty. I happened to look on on Yelp in search of a different type of Kosher restaurant. Ordered the eggplant pizza with a couple of salads to go. The food was well prepared and delicious. Great flavors, and really, really unique pizzas! I hope I experienced an off night though. I have been waiting forever to try this place (vegetarian, love Indian food, love pizza - perfect combo, right?) so my boyfriend and I splurged and got the paneer tikka masala and the sky barbecue pizza. The pizza was on time and like I said the flavor combos were delish, and delivery arrived on time. That being said, the pizzas were very very dry.. there wasn't much tomato cream sauce on the paneer tikka pizza, not much sauce or mozzarella on the barbecue. The soy meat was good though! Went in to try the vegan ice cream, decided to get a slice too on a whim. The slice was excellent! They had 3 types available - cheese, garden vegetable, and cauliflower manchurian. I went with garden vegetable. It had a nice assortment of veggies without being too top heavy like some vegetable pizzas are. The crust was the best part! Perfectly crisp and chewy with just the right amount of salt. The ice cream left something to be desired. I got 1 scoop of chocolate and 1 scoop of coffee. Both had a very icy consistency, kind of like they had freezer burn. Consistency aside, the chocolate flavor was fantastic! It was very rich and chocolaty- I would get it again despite the iciness. The coffee unfortunately didn't have a strong enough flavor to overpower the iciness. I should point out that I've never had vegan ice cream before, so maybe it's always like this? I kind of doubt it though. Nevertheless, I'll definitely return to Veggie Crust to try more from the menu, and maybe the ice cream again too to see if it's creamier next time around. read more

This place has a novel menu. Their pizza toppings like Curry leaves pesto, Pav bhaji, Paneer Tikka are definitely not heard of at least here in the Boston area. But, I am not very impressed with their food. I really loved their curry leaves pesto pizza, but others were not that great for me. Their pizza Crust was okay but toppings lacked the zing expected from the dishes like Pav Bhaji, Paneer Tikka. I am not sure if that is intentional but at least I did not find it enjoyable. We got a white pizza with feta, onions, and spinach, the tofu mutter, cauliflower tikka masala, rice, samosas, and onion naan. It's a little cold by the door in the winter so I would recommend sitting in the other tables. One of my favorite takeout pizza places in the city. They do a great job with their innovative Asian/South Asian pizza toppings. My consistent favorites are the Falafel Pizza and the Paneer Manchurian Pizza. The only pizza I wouldn't recommend here is the Pav Bhaji Pizza. All other flavors I've tried here have been spot on. They are quick and consistent, and always pleasant when I pick up at either this location or their Somerville location. Highly recommend! read more

I have tried two things on Veggie Crust's menu so far. The falafel pizza and the samosa. I have been back for the third time in two weeks and guess what I have ordered again and again? Definitely try the cauliflower manchurian pizza! I'm not a huge fan of cauliflower but the pieces are small and the sauce is a spicy sweet that makes it worth it. I love that this place does half / half of specialty pizza, though only via phone (would be great to have this option online). We got half paneer tikka masala as well, which could use a bit more flavor but still really good and better than regular pizza. My friend also got the veggie medley pasta with the Alfredo pesto sauce (thank you for the customization on sauces / veggies on this) and she enjoyed it. I was so excited to finally find a place that would make vegan peshawary naan--that craving has been bugging me pretty much since I went vegan. I got the baingan bharta, samosas, and peshawary naan. Omni husband ordered the Hawaiian manchurian pizza. Everything was so yummy! I think we had some reservations about the ability of one restaurant to produce on point Indian food AND pizza, but no such concerns were warranted. I'm pretty excited about ordering again soon to explore some of the weirder specialty pizzas. My one issue with all the food was that the peshawary naan was good, but it didn't hit the spot with the craving; not nearly enough coconut, maybe too much apricot. Not what I was used to. I can't fault the restaurant for this, it'll be to other peoples' taste. The only problem was that we placed the order online to pick up once the restaurant opened; the employees seemed annoyed that someone showed up right at 12, and they only started making the food then. This place was a disaster. I ordered online food to be picked up promptly at 4 PM this morning at 10 AM. I asked to be contacted if this was a problem in this era of social distancing. This was a big order with diverse food and I did not want to wait. 2 pizzas, pakora, paratha, and tofu Manchurian. On my order, I specified that I would be there promptly at 4. I got there and the owner/manager was not practicing social distancing....He really got right in my face. He explained that he had just opened and I would have wait 5 minutes. I looked around and saw that the oven was not turned on and this would not be a five-minute wait.....Sitting there in my N-95, I did not want to wait for an extended period of time. I asked him to deliver my food instead. He said I would have to pay for that which I was not willing to do as I live 20 minutes away and had already spent my time and gas $$ on the drive. He became ruder and meaner. I gave him a comparison of a school teacher. If the bell rings at 8, do the teachers arrive at 8 or do they come at 7:30 to get ready for the day? He clearly had no ability to understand the analogy or make inferences. He did, however, cancel the order. I have heard that their food is great but I truly would not trust this guy's social distancing and he clearly does not understand customer service. read more
