So I am a nail connoisseur. I go to wherever I can that has the best reviews whenever I'm in need of a manicure and pedicure. This place had raving reviews so I called and booked. It is beautiful inside. They weren't very friendly to start off with, but that's okay. I'm not here to make friends, if you slay my nails, we're besties in my head lol. So, I came in for a gel x manicure and pedicure, both thin French. The gel x tips that were used were too small for my nails so they popped out a bit. Not a huge deal, but I like the attention to detail on my nails and this wasn't it. I showed the inspiration pics and was pretty clear about how I liked my nails, verrrrry thin and natural and not harsh lines. She made it super thick, which is typical. I let her know I would like them a little thinner on the sides because it's pretty thick, which definitely annoyed her and she stated the picture didn't look like that. It did look like that lol. When I got a pedicure, I asked if I could pay $15 for adding on a longer massage which is the same price as their gel add ons and other special wraps for feet and such. He said they only do 10 min add on massage for $25 dollars. I said okay. I will do that. He was very nice and the massage was amazing. When doing the French tip he asked if it was okay the size of the French and it was really thick like almost all the way down to my cuticle. I said I'd like thinner, and he said no problem and did it. My toes looked amazing. Would go back for a pedicure, but other that that, for their prices, I wouldn't go back for my nails. read more

Got a pedicure here and the nail technician, I think her name was Rose: she was pretty distracted through out the process and talking to everyone else instead of focused on my manicure. She had to keep finding clean utensils to use because they weren't ready. Towels were also not clean and they had to pull extras from the dryer. Not the best experience. read more

after having such high hopes for this visit after the reviews were positive and high, I have never been so disappointed before in my life after getting my nails done. upone arrival, I asked how much it would be to get my dip removed and a regular manicure done. I was informed that it would be $14 for removal but with the polish service, the removal would not be charged and I would pay $23 for the nail polish manicure only. not only did my technician burn my nails multiple times in the removal process and refusing to do a second soak and insisting on continuing to use the drill, she thinned out my nail beds to the point that I have multiple weak and bending nail beds my nail shape is uneven and inconsistent. i addressed this multiple times to which I was told it wasn't and it was just me. at checkout, I was charged $37 for my visit. after disputing the removal charge I was told that it was the cost and because I didn't do dip again and did regular polish I had no choice to pay it. even after I confirmed the removal would not be added to my final charge. to top it off, all I received was two coats of clear top coat. I did not even get a color on my nails. I will sadly never be attending this salon again and have no positive recommendations for anyone to attend here. read more

My partner and I treated ourselves to a pedicure yesterday. We were greeted politely and minimal time to get seated. Unfortunately, I was given a young woman who may have been learning, but was looking at her co-worker the whole time for step by step instructions and wasn't listening. Needles to say, I believe who may have been the manager, stepped in and did my whole pedicure for me, which I much appreciated, until I got home and saw the amount of paint I had on my skin vs my nails and how uneven my nails were cut. A last minute-trying-to-get-ready-in-time, manicure and pedicure simply because this spot is next to the Super Target. I didn't have an appointment and since it was a Tuesday afternoon, no need for an appointment, right? Well, I was correct and was seen right away. We started with a basic pedicure and a basic nail color. No, gel on the nail, no French tip, no special designs, just a basic pedicure and manicure for only $37. The chairs were very comfortable nothing out of the ordinary. My assigned technician did a great job with the whole pedicure process and my toes felt and looked happy. Great job with the nail color and very accurate. One special touch that I liked about this place is they place all your items in a hand carry basket for the convenience of everyone and the basket stays with you. Long gone are the days of carrying all your items and then walking across the floor with wet polish. Finally, we arrived on the manicure side of the store and sat down. Now, this is where the service dropped to 3 stars. My technician asked for me to pay before she painted my nails and I gladly did. She also asked how much my tip would be and I told her. As soon as she gave my card and receipt back, I noticed a change in service. She quickly painted my nails and did an okay job. She even went back and made a few corrections but was she in a hurry or did she care less? I'm not exactly sure but an okay job for basic service. read more

Let me start by saying the staff here are all so friendly and welcoming, I felt like I was a regular despite it being my first time. I didn't get a downgraded experience because I went for "just a manicure" like some places. My nail tech was nice, asked personal "small talk" kind of questions but also let me relax after a long day at work. Just the right amount of conversation. She took her time and didn't rush me but I do wish she would've cleaned up around my cuticles a bit more before sending me on my way. The line at the top of the nail was very thick with polish. Also, I think if she had a smaller brush she'd be able to clean up with more detail. The brush she was using seemed kind of thick for what she was trying to do. Overall, I might come back. I was considering having my bridal party and I here the weekend of my wedding but I'm not sure now. She did mention that with larger parties like that, we'd have a pretty private atmosphere which sounded nice if the work was a bit more pristine. read more

So I went back after my first satisfying visit (pedicure), and sadly this one was a little less satisfying. I had gel polish done and it started peeing after days... they did however offered to fix (which I gladly accepted), therefor the 4 stars. Absolutely terrible experience here. I don't remember her name but the young lady at station 3 with the Gucci glasses is a NASTY person with an even worse attitude. The worst customer service I've ever had a nail salon. I started off with a sweet older woman at the end who honestly did not do a good job laying the acrylic evenly, the shaping was not good, she cut my finger and I was bleeding, and I had to constantly tell her things were uneven but she was very sweet and understanding. All I wanted was short square nails with a French tip, very simple. But she said the woman at station 3 was better at the design so I should go down there to have her do it, so I go down to her station and she does a suet thick and heavy tip on just my pinky, she asks me if I like it and I say no can I please have it thinner, she wipes off just the top part but leaves the thick sides and redoes just the top. And I said no I would like all of it to be thinner because they are short nails and that doesn't look good, also it was just sloppy and uneven. Then I show her a picture and she tells me "No I can't do that, that won't look good. I'm the best one here at design and I'm telling you no. Just a pick a different color and I'll paint your nails" I said I don't want my nails to be one solid color I just want a French tip can you please just try and make a thinner line? She continued to tell me No she wouldn't even attempt to make a thin line and kept telling me to just pick a color. She was sooooo rude and argumentative about it too, the worst attitude ever for absolutely no reason. She REFUSED to even try, because she said I'm not going to like it and she doesn't want to waste her time doing my nails. So I ended up leaving with just a clear coat on already crooked and messed up shaped nails that I hoping the French tip would help mask. Also I would like to add that they were fully staffed and the owners were present as well and no one stepped in and offered to help or apologized for her behavior or the way she spoke to me. Okay, they've changed the name, which is why I drove past when I went there for my first appointment last month. It's now "Aruba Nails." I went for new pink and whites, after getting tired of the snappish attitude of my former manicurist. I was having lifting issues, too, and though my old manicurist gave the impression that I was doing something to cause the problem, I was convinced that wasn't true. Aaanyway . . . I saw Tony at Aruba/Bahama Nails. He was gentle, quick, and my pink and whites never lifted! They're they cleanest trim and most perfect shape I've ever had in over ten years of having acrylics! I can't tell you how pleased I am with the service. My work kept me really busy, so I had to go three weeks before I could schedule a fill-in (my scheduling issues, not theirs). Even after three weeks of abuse, my nails looked great. Of course, I had growth and desperately needed a fill-in, but I didn't have to hide my hands on those final days before my manicure. My fill-in appointment went smoothly and I walked out with gorgeous nails---again. The decor is kitschy--grass "roof" over the manicure tables, colorful chairs draped with beach towels--but it'll grow on you. A flat screen TV plays movies overhead, so you can relax and enjoy your mani-pedi, without being forced to chat, if you don't feel like it. Having said that, Tony proved to be an excellent conversationalist, but he also seemed to know, on my second visit, that I mostly wanted to chillax and be quiet. Fresh magazines (not years-old like some places), an offer of a cold drink, and baskets to put your purse in added to the special treatment. (No Coach on the floor issues). The pedicure chairs look soooo comfortable. That's on my list for the next visit! read more

Got gel mani pedi here for a wedding, the staff was pleasant but the establishment was very dark and therefore the quality of their work was poor. My toe polish should have been a pinky white but when I got home I realized it had a greyish haze over it like it hadn't been properly cured and attacked dirt however it was perfectly smooth, I've never seen this before and I always choose this color. The nail design I chose was quite simple but came out very lumpy and uneven, one of my nails was trimmed crooked and after asking them to fix it 3 times I just gave up. The polish chipped off in 4 days because of how thick it was. The people were nice but I wasn't pleased with the results and I felt like they were purposely keeping it so dark in there to hide it. But the worst part is that less than 12 hours later a noticed a painful spot on my thumb like a small blister which turned into a wart. I don't visit nail salons very often because I'm always afraid of catching some kind of fungus, maybe 3 times a year just for special occasions. Im appalled, never going back there. read more

I've been going to Aruba Nails religiously for the last 3 years. I typically have my eyebrows waxed, pink and white acrylics and a pedicure done. I love that I don't have to wait when I walk in, usually because I make an appointment. I love Tony and Linda, who both typically complete my services, but I've worked with their other techs in the past too and had excellent experiences. Tony and Linda are the money hungry owners who care nothing about quality and only want to fit as many clients in a day as possible. The color I chose was not the final result on my nails. I asked Linda to fix it as I was not satisfied with how my nails looked. She told me she had another customer and to come back. I came back when my schedule allowed, which was a couple days later. Linda insisted on charging me again full price to correct her mistake. Again I was there less than a week ago, and was forced to pay again. Aruba nails is NOT the only nail salon in the area. I came here for the first time tonight after just moving to Florida. I chose this nail salon since there were other very good reviews. I LOVE this place! Tony is awesome, he's very sweet and nice, but more importantly... He's amazingly precise and gentle and my pink and whites came out PERFECT. He actually asked questions about how thick I like the white, what shape I like my nails, and let's be honest, that don't happen often! I can't wait to spread the word about this little gem! I always read reviews before I go to new places (I like to hear the honest reviews people have). I literally can't say ONE bad thing about this place. Very poor customer service- just in the phone. I never made it to the establishment. I called and asked if we could get two pedicures. She told me 4pm, so I said, "Ok, Thank you!" So we ventured there and couldn't find the place. I called and asked where they were and when they told me l, they also asked, "Do you have an appointment?" I told them that we were told to be there at 4. He spoke with one of their associates and told me that we didn't have an appointment and they couldn't get to us. I told them that was bad business and I would be making a post, then disconnected. He then had the nerve to call me back and very rudely told me to use common sense-- I did. When I was told to be there at 4, I was there at 4. He then hung up on me. What kind of business are they running where the staff calls back and gets rude with a customer? WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE and I recommend everyone else find a better mannered group of people to do business with. read more

I'm rating this place without ever having gone and successfully gotten my nails done. I have gone three Saturday's in a row, and all three days they have told me they were too busy to see me and that I would need to come back in x amount of hours. No, not minutes, but hours. I get that they are busy, I get that they are popular, and no, I did not have an appointment, but they advertise walk ins welcome. It is very apparent walk ins are not welcome really. It should be mentioned that all three times I was told they can't see me, it was bc they "had appointments scheduled soon". So the people they were turning me away for weren't even in office!
