This place is busy! Which can be good and bad. My nail technician was rushing to get to the next person. My dip nails started chipping after 3 days, which has never happened before. I will say when I returned to get them fixed, they took my immediately and fixed all of them without charge. There are also a lot of employees upfront seeming to just be standing around. As far as the service I received a warm neck pillow and sangria during my pedicure. It made it a nice relaxing touch. Either way the nail salon isn't bad. If you find a good technician this is a solid nail salon to go to. If not it will be hit or miss just due to the number of clients needing to be serviced. read more

I was so pissed when the nail tech didn't give me what I asked for because the wind was messing him up when there was no wind at all and he painted over it with regular polish. The receptionists were rude the customer sitting next to me was sitting there with an empty drink and she told me she was upset about it and she recognized me from when I worked there and she told me that she misses me working there because her drink was never empty when I worked there I asked the receptionist to get the lady a refill basically asking her to do her job and she rolled her eyes and gave a lot of attitude. read more

My daughter and I have been very loyal to this salon since it opened, but recently it has gone down hill terribly. We thought that first time it was just a fluke and they fixed the issue, (all of the gel on a pedicure slid off within 24 hours) My daughter gets her nails done, but the tech doesn't seem to listen to what she wants, they fix it. Today we went thinking maybe the last time was a fluke, but it wasn't. Our pedicures were great, but her nails again were so bad. It looked very unprofessional and messy. This was my first experience at Venezia, they were all very friendly and prompt. I had a shellac manicure from Holly and Shellac tropical pedicure from Timmy. They were gentle, friendly and were not pushy nor rushed. -Holly did wonderful on my natural nail shape and making sure the Shellac was thin and not gooped on. -Timmy did wonderful on my toe nail shape and very gentle. $85 for both and I'd say that's a great price for the excellent quality. Have come to Venezia three times. The first time was overwhelming. I get my nails done twice a month and I anticipate being able to relax during this time and unfortunately the atmosphere and the set up of this salon is just not conducive to relaxation. My first time I 'checked in' at the desk with one of the girls and was sent to go pick out my nexgen color... after picking it out there was no direction... I just stood around for a minute before finally being addressed again and shuffled to a seat. In my three visits I've never been there when it was not busy and hectic. The second time I went it was so busy that there was a line waiting to see the nexgen colors. People waiting seemed annoyed and impatient and there was no order to who was next or any kind of reassurance that I wasn't going to just get lost in the crowd of people waiting. I ended up bailing and going to another salon. The last time I went was kind of the same as the first- no real order or what I would call 'true salon/spa service' more just like shuffling customers through a process as quickly as possible. The teenage girl who shuffled me to my seat asked what she could get me to drink and when I asked for water she never brought it. Such a simple service that most salons offer now and this salon is just not set up to successfully serve the customer in this way because of its process- it's all about getting as many people through as possible. My manicure has been fine... not magical or awesome like some of the reviews I've seen... just fine. Definitely not good enough to continue returning to their chaotic environment. Would rather go get a 'fine' manicure some where quieter. I think if you're cool with getting a manicure in Grand Central Station you'll probably enjoy the hectic nature of this place. If you're looking for an ok manicure + a relaxing environment I would recommend moving along to another salon. read more

My first experience here was good. My second one awful! My technician was Cici and she's rude and did not do a good job. She asked me if my nails looked good as she was working on them and I asked her nicely if she could buff out my nexgen nails a bit more because they were super thick and she asked in a very mean and sarcastic way if it was my first time getting nexgen. After that, she got an attitude and started talking to another technician in a different language and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I know nexgen makes your nails look thick but she could have done what I asked for because the first technician did it (without me asking) and my nails looked 10x better. I gave it another try a week ago and again, very disappointing! My technician was Cindy this time and she cut me in 3 different places while trimming my cuticles. NEVER AGAIN! I got a pedicure and a manicure the lady that did my pedicure she did a great job but the lady that did my manicure was awful and cut me and put nail glue in my cut and told me that I can't fight with the way that my nails were shaped upwards and she didn't do the nails that i asked for which was ombré but instead she did all pink and I told her and she was yelling at me that I was wrong that it was in fact ombré but it wasn't, i strongly don't recommend going to this nail spa. The tech I got today was horrible. Her gel skills are weak and she didn't even use disinfected/sterilized instruments when cutting my nails and cleaning my cuticles! GROSS! She just pulled them straight out of her little cosmetic case (and put them back in when she was done with my nails). I told the male manager on duty before I left and he said he would ask her about it. Ask her what, exactly? The client says you didn't use disinfected nail tools, she's gonna say yes I did. Unbelievable! I think I'll need to find another salon, a cleaner one that doesn't use used nail files on people and uses disinfected tools not ones they just take out of their cases. BARF! read more

I went to this place and called days in advance to let them know I wanted to get GEL on my toes and I had paid over 100 dollars. I came a few days after my service and i had to wait exactly 30 minutes to even be acknowledged by the nail technicians and I finally told the manager Sara that I had been waiting for 30 minutes and she looked at me like she could care less. Her actions showed me that. One of the employees mouth fell open because she was shocked to hear me say I've been waiting so long and see me point to my phone from the moment I called and walked in to the time I was showing on my phone as I was leaving to prove the amount of time wasted there. This place is all about getting people in and out as quickly as possible. With all the times I have been there I always felt that and saw that happen. Today was the "needle that broke the camels back" experience for me, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I regret bringing them all my friends and family. I will no longer recommend this place. This experience was awful, humiliating, and a huge waste of time given the fact that I also have a life and I have dinner plans so the 35 minutes was so ridiculously long and annoying! read more

Pros: nice atmosphere; very friendly employees Cons: Long wait times. We were told there was a 20-minute wait. It ended up being 50 min before we saw someone. I had to go to the front (after they seated us in the corner) to make sure they remembered we were here. No beverage service. We asked twice for white wine. Never received it. Mediocre pedicure. I had a male therapist. It's obvious he has never had good a foot/leg massage. Otherwise, he would know that pulling on my Achilles heel, rubbing the side of my foot and massaging my knee caps while he mindlessly watches tv does not feel good! All in all, i spent over 2 hours at this place for a pedicure I could get anywhere. If this place is busy, go elsewhere! read more

The rave reviews are true. Went here on a Saturday after lunch - they were slammed. I can't remember the last time I saw that many people in a salon, but I've also never seen so many techs either. This place was crazy busy, BUT still offered very personal service. They had several managers, all with earpieces, like a restaurant, walking around checking on every guest, providing drinks and making sure the quality of the service is on par. **this was also noted by a different reviewer and is spot on** There are drinks! White wine, red wine, champagne or mimosas, even vodka and cranberry. They have you fill out a small paper to check which services you want AND which drink you want. Once I was seated my drink showed up. I know, I know. I'm a guy. My expectations may be different. I'm not there for gel or powder. I get it. But look at the other reviews. We picked our color and where escorted to out chairs. We waited about 10 minutes. (The one thing I would suggest to the salon is to at least fill up the foot soaking tub and let guests relax while soaking their feet while waiting.) we sat kind of sideways waiting for the water to be filled. This was my first time here and my last. They rush you in and out and charge you for every little thing. I wanted a simple refill on my gel nails but they were pushing hard for dip, which I specifically said I didn't want. They charged me $15 for a simple design, I've never paid more than $5 for design. Then they charged an extra $5 to shape my daughters nails to coffin then they charged an extra $20 for gel polish!! If you want to be charged for every little thing...don't go there. read more

Came here Friday evening and they are open until 7:30 but at 6:15 is was still super busy. They serve complimentary drinks and seems like a few local high school girls are helping out as hostesses. It was nice to see some integration into the community. Everyone was so nice and truly appreciative of my first visit with them. Kelly did my next gen dip mani. Nails turned out great and she took care to repair my nails and build them up with powder instead of using tips where she could. It was $35. I'll definitely go back! read more

I was looking for a new nail salon to visit with my daughter and to enjoy a day of pampering. Service was good and really enjoyed Tia completing my dipping powder on my nails and Hannah servicing me with a pedicure and gel polish on my toes. The girls was good considering I was their first client for the day. I requested a manicure given by Komi in which was 'meh'. To say the least, I was pleased with the services NOT reading the reviews prior to and visiting the salon on a gut feeling of getting good services. Well (9) days later I have some pain in my second toe on my left foot. Not sure as to what could possibly be going on until a couple of days later and I am in the ER because the pain by this time is excruciating! Long story short, I get to the ER and the doctor says I have a staph infection. He asked if I recently visited a nail salon. I told him yes, on January 2nd. His response was, "Aw." I asked him would I have seen something, a symptom of such way before now. His response was no, not necessarily. A staph infection sets in sometimes before you begin to see any symptoms. So see the pictures attached.... stay away from this place because after reading the reviews about this place post my visit, the reviews are clients receiving an infection or some type of fungus, quality of service is poor, the place is over crowded, etc.. Tia and Hannah were fun and we laughed a lot but it is not worth almost losing my toe. This place need to train their workers to properly clean their tools before using them on clients back to back. Just thinking about the touching of other clients toe nails and then touching my toe nails makes me sick. Stay away from this place. The salon is in a nice location..... do not judge the book by its cover because you might lose a limb doing so! read more

I got my nails done here for my birthday tomorrow & left extremely unsatisfied. I asked my nail tech if she would be able to do what I wanted (white flames) before the service started & she said she could. However, she could not & after 2 hours I had to go & decided to settle. I expressed my dislike to the girl at the front as well. When I left & got in my car I realized my left hand pointer & pinky fingers also had cracking on the white gel base. I live 45 minutes away & they are refusing to refund me unless they can see them in person as pictures can be "fabricated." I am extremely upset at the way this has been handled. Unless you want a basic manicure that you can get done anywhere else for a fraction of the cost, do not go here. I wish they would refund me so I could go to another location & get them fixed but i cannot afford to spend another $70+ getting these fixed today. read more
