I kinda felt like an unwanted customer in a place more for couples or friends getting together which had me leaving shortly thereafter, so no real food score (although I will say, much like Oh London ,the menu wasn't really much to work through...), Anyway, no TV's, no world cup game on the air.. just like I said a vibe of a cabin in a "romantic movie, where the monsters lurk". This is a pretty good family atmosphere, they have high top tables but also had high top high chairs! A real positive in our book, haven't ran into many restaurants that have this option. I would suggest if you have little ones to order your food when they take your drinks because the service can be hit or miss depending on the time you go, and food can take a little longer than expected. So get the little ones ordered in first and then decide on the adults.

As its name suggests, it's a bog standard double cheeseburger, like something you might get in, erm, a diner. The ingredients were really good, including the vegetable toppings, which were fresh and expertly sliced. I especially liked the razor-thin onion slices. The thing that would have really elevated it is if the burger patties had a little char to them. The fish and chips looked good, and I appreciate the fact that they already had malt vinegar out on the table, as if it's a standard condiment. I might have to try that, if I return. It's a cool little bar, feels like a local spot. Their prices were actually super fair considering they're super close to the city and easy to get to. As much as I love the patio, we opted to ear inside so we could be in the AC for a while. We were seated right away - 5 adults and a toddler. The dining room was full - I think everyone was cooling off! We waited maybe 15 minutes and nobody had come by our table. I know they were busy, but come on. Finally I got a staff member's attention and asked if we could please have a server. A gal came over and apologized and said she wasn't told she had our table. She was still waiting on tables outside and we had to wait longer still to place our orders. After all that, she forgot to order all of the food. One person in our group didn't get any food. The server admitted she didn't enter it and went and took care of it. I couldn't tell you what I, or anyone else, had for lunch. But we all enjoyed what we ordered! Happy Hour is limited to the bar area only. I have no idea why I haven't heard more about this spot, and I'm honestly surprised it's not hyped up more! They use a lot of local, fresh vendors for their ingredients, and the spot is very clean and welcoming. The bartender was great all night, he gave top notch service. The food menu looks phenomenal, and they have have a lot of great options on the Happy Hour menu itself. I just got a couple glasses of house wine for a great price and my husband got a couple beers, which even the NICE ones were only $5. Their cocktails looked bomb too, we'll have to come back and try some.
