A fun night our in Venice!

We have stayed here multiple times and love it. Great central location. The rooms are large and comfortable. Absolutely love the kitchen area with a burner stove, large refrigerator/freezer, toaster oven, sink, plates, silverware, cups, glasses, coffee maker, and even a dishwasher! The staff is amazing too (here we are with Danielle)! This feels like our home away from home and we step outside onto the stand and beach! Our home burned in the recent fires and we came for a couple weeks and back because our new rental home has mold. Thank you Venice Breeze Suites for being the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy your beautiful hotel and the many amenities and restaurants in Venice just a short walk away!

If you like eclectic, this is the hotel for you. Absolutely phenomenal staff. Room are a slight bit dated, but hey, it's a hundred year hotel. Rooftop deck has a great view of the beach and ocean. Lots of things to do within walking distance. Only negative is no.on site parking.

Very cool place to stay when you're visiting Venice beach. The place has tons of history. We arrived at night and we parked in an alley so we can check in and we saw some interesting things. I was a little hesitant about staying but once we were inside, we fell in love with the building. Our room had a brick wall which was cool! There's no AC but a fan is provided. The bathroom is pretty small but it will do! The rooftop has an amazing view of Venice beach. It was pretty relaxing! You can send postcards to your friends, family, or even to yourself from the hotel. They provide towels, beach gear, and toys. The only thing we had an issue with was the parking. The parking is down the alleyway. We paid for it with our hotel but the parking attendant was trying to rip us off. We were not happy with that interaction.

Venice Suites doesn't offer much in the way of luxury, but they've got everything I need: Surprisingly spacious rooms at a very decent price. A door that opens right up onto Venice Beach. A parking spot a few blocks away. A suite stocked with soft towels and a decent shower. A beautiful, breezy roofdeck for lounging around (and grilling if you're ambitious). A comfortable bed. Although, the bed may be perfectly comfortable to sleep on, but why is it a thing in this city to place mattresses on a wider wooden platform? Am I the only one leaving LA with significant bruises all over my shins? Anyway, I'm all about apartment hotels (especially for extended stays in a new city), and Venice Suites is a good one.

Here in Southern Cal and Venice Beach pick this place to stay. I enjoyed myself every time I come down. Front desk team/concierge is amazing and informative. This is my go to place when I am working in The area. It's a great place for families and young ppl. It has a beautiful rooftop to enjoy some rays.

The gym is really nice and open 24 hours. They also have a sauna and steam room and pool. They have some really nice rooms here and also some super average rooms. Most of the Ocean and courtyard rooms have balconies but city side rooms are much more average but also less expensive. The hotel is steps away from the boardwalk and the Santa Monica pier as well as tons of restaurants. There is no coffee in the room and they don't set it out now until 6am. Also they only have these handheld steamers in the room now which I find to be cumbersome and useless when faced with a wrinkled dress. I had to call down to get a real iron and ironing board. The new furniture is modern but not functional. There are not enough plugs in the room either (luckily I bring my own power strip. They have a small bar with drinks and bites, all for a very steep price -- my glass of average rose was $20!!! This is a Marriott hotel so you get your points -- which is why I will be back.

Regent Santa Monica Beach - Orla dining

    Regent Santa Monica Beach

    (20 reviews)

A Beautiful Oceanfront Hotel with an Extraordinary Service Culture…read more My family and I just returned from a Father's Day weekend at Regent Santa Monica Beach, and it was one of the most impressive hotel experiences we've had. We stayed in a 720 Oceanfront King room, which was spectacular. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, but the true highlight was the view. Being able to sit on the patio and watch the ocean while our children played, read, relaxed, and enjoyed the room created some of our favorite memories of the weekend. We found ourselves spending far more time in the room than we normally do on vacation simply because it was such a wonderful place to be. While the property itself is stunning, what truly sets Regent Santa Monica Beach apart is the service culture. Every interaction felt thoughtful, genuine, and personal. Before our arrival, Deidra was incredibly helpful and responsive regarding room questions I had. Throughout the stay, Waldo made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for, taking the time to ensure our family was comfortable and enjoying everything the property had to offer. Lex checked in proactively and made certain our stay was going smoothly. The level of engagement from the leadership team was remarkable and set the tone for the entire experience. What impressed me most was how attentive the staff were to details. Housekeeping noticed we were traveling with a toddler and disposing of diapers in the room trash. Without us requesting anything, they proactively delivered a Diaper Genie to our room. It was such a simple gesture, but it demonstrated an incredible level of awareness and care. Dining at Orla was another highlight. Both breakfast and dinner were outstanding. Pia stopped by our table to personally ensure everything was going well and even made sure we hadn't left any belongings behind when we finished our meal. Ryan provided exceptional service during dinner and went above and beyond for our family. When our son preferred traditional dinner rolls over the pita bread being served, Ryan and the team went out of their way to locate rolls elsewhere so he could have something he enjoyed. They also handled special requests with grace and professionalism, making our children feel genuinely welcome throughout the meal. The food itself was excellent. The breakfasts were memorable, the seafood dishes were outstanding, the cocktails were creative and well-crafted, and the desserts were fantastic. Orla delivered the kind of dining experience that would be worth visiting even if you weren't staying at the hotel. What impressed me most about Regent was the consistency. The front desk team, concierge staff, housekeeping, restaurant staff, bell team, and managers all seemed aligned around the same goal: creating an exceptional guest experience. It wasn't one outstanding employee--it was an entire culture of hospitality. There are many luxury hotels with beautiful buildings and desirable locations. Far fewer succeed in making guests feel genuinely cared for. Regent Santa Monica Beach does both. This is unquestionably a luxury property, but after experiencing the level of service, attention to detail, dining, and hospitality we received, we left feeling it delivered tremendous value. We have stayed at many excellent hotels over the years, and this is one of the few that had our family discussing a return visit before we had even checked out. Thank you to Waldo, Deidra, Lex, Pia, Ryan, and the entire Regent Santa Monica Beach team for making our Father's Day weekend so memorable. We are already looking forward to coming back.

I wanted to upgrade the room because I felt like having an ocean view so we looked at two other rooms and they picked this view. It's expensive but sooooo worth it! This is the first Regent property since 1992 when they sold the Beverly Wilshire to the Four Seasons. Welcome back, Regent! They did not miss a single detail! They even have Dyson hairdryers in the room as well as Nespresso machines. I'm super excited about having my own personal bidet! I know where I'm hanging out tonight lol just kidding, I'm going to the fitness center now and will include photos. I'm so stoked about this hotel! The tub is the highlight. One comment would be that when we checked in with Anthony, who was so sweet to our toddler, also kept telling us we were getting upgraded to a very nice room. We got all excited. It was a normal room. The "very nice upgrade" just meant that we were on floor 5. I barely call that an upgrade but ok. - we asked for a crib, and we go a nice crib with a cute little baby soap kit from noodle and boo- very nice touch. And baby robes for the kids- my toddler loved it. My toddler was on a rollaway bed and they were super accommodating about it- great experience on that front. - balconies are tiny and I never saw anyone out when I sat out - pool staff was super nice. It was a chilly weekend and the pool could have been warmer (I couldn't get in, but I really don't like cold water). - the beach chairs are also very nice and we were surprised to find them available - they were extremely pleasant about our friends visiting us every day! - the lobby waiter during the day was almost inexistant. We had to go to the bar to ask for drinks. The woman at night was great. Now for the food...: - coast has a great breakfast, the lemon ricotta pancakes are excellent (though stupid expensive for pancakes) - pico is a good spot for shrimp cocktail and calamari. Hasn't seen shrimps that big in a long time. - overall the food was good everywhere but way overpriced.... The kids menu are ridiculous... hard to justify spending $28 on kids pancakes. That being said, the portions were the same as adult portions... maybe make the portions smaller, and price more accessible? Overall we had a great stay, and while on the expensive side, we agreed we would come back. Nicely done!

The housekeeping staff was fantastic too. The gentleman who was responsible for our room always asked if we needed anything and if he could provide any assistance in making our stay even better. The great thing about the suite setup is that the living room with a pull out couch is separated by a door to the bedroom; you could watch TV in one room and not bother the people in the other room. The TVs in each room were oversized and there was a decent sized mini fridge (Target and Trader Joes are just down the street - hello wine and beer!) The walls were thick, as was the main door and hotel noise and street noise was minimal. They have a pool on the 3rd floor that doubles as the covered drop off/entrance area and it was very nice. The breakfast buffet was solid (include made to order eggs), but it was too expensive (approx. $33 per person-tip included.) The best part about our stay were the pillows. Down pillows! The most comfortable pillows I have ever slept on! The beds were solid too. What else? You're a couple of blocks from the Santa Monica Pier and Beach. You're within an 8 minute walk to McDonald's for breakfast (cheaper than the hotel buffet!) and your about a 10 minute walk to the 3rd St Promenade. Our daughter absolutely loved her first trip to the beach and this Hilton property and its staff had a lot to do with that! *Tip 1* Head to Trader Joes to stock up on booze for your room fridge. *Tip 2* They don't have a microwave on property to reheat leftovers or snacks.
