I purchased a 2015 Kia Optima from Venture Auto Sales on September 13, 2025. Within minutes of driving it home, the low-oil-pressure light came on. I documented this on video with timestamps. I later contacted the prior owner of the car, a US Service member who confirmed that this issue existed before the vehicle was traded in. Venture Auto did not reply to my requests, until I sent them a certified letter. I tried for several weeks to resolve the situation directly with Omar at Venture Auto. During that time: They refused to take the car back. They required that I pay out of pocket to tow the vehicle to their preferred shop, even though that shop was the same one that had already inspected the car before they sold it. They mentioned restocking fees and other charges as conditions. And tried to force me to comply with his "system" to deal with their issue. They declined to provide copies of their inspection reports outside of court. At no point did Venture Auto offer a straightforward path to rescind the sale, even though the defect appeared within minutes of purchase. In my experience, there was no meaningful good-faith effort to resolve a defect that surfaced immediately and had been verified by the prior owner. I encourage anyone buying a used car from any dealership to be extremely cautious when a dealer says "come back tomorrow," or to once again test drive it immediately prior to completing the purchase paperwork. I am sharing this to help others make an informed decision. This is now going to court and the Department of Licensing and the State Attorney General. read more

Omar and his employees are not honest or open. As others have said the cars come with issues as with any used car, mine was not exception. The brakes were worn down and grinding metal to metal contact, It also appeared that someone had broken into the car previously as there are scrapings on top of driver's door and seal damaged, this results in water getting in during rain and carwashes and also loud whistling noise when driving. My low rating however is not for that since I expect used cars to have issues. My problem is this dealership's dishonesty and shady practices. They claim to be open and honest which they are not. They promised to fix my broken windshield which they did not, I made numerous phone calls and was given a run around. Don't expect them to fix anything they promise you. When applying for the car loan, I did it at home was preapproved with one bank, all that was left was to finalize at dealership, yet these people processed my application as if I was applying with them, resulting in multiple, unnecessary hard inquiries on my credit report from different lenders. I did not ask them to add an extended warranty but they without even asking me enrolled me for a $2,000 contract with Protective Asset Protection (aka A.U.L). I told them the car will be used for rideshare and food delivery and knowing full well that Protective ap does not cover commercial use vehicles, still went ahead and enrolled me which is fraud because the warranty would not be honored even in the event of a covered failure. If you are planning to buy their extended warranty, you should know that Protective/AUL has numerous complains on BBB and a low rating for refusing to pay claims and failure to refund money. I cancelled over a month ago and I am yet to see one penny. If you buy a car here with existing issues and hope the contract will help you, you will be disappointed, according to PAP's statements on BBB they do not cover pre-existing conditions. Also if they determine that part failure was caused by negligence, they will deny your claim (even if it was the previous owner who was negligent by not keeping up with oil changes). If you are financing a car here, read everything you sign because what they tell you does not match what you are signing and don't expect them to honor any word they give you by mouth. read more

I have 10 days before I have to park it until I figure out how to get plates the last time I checked they never order them so now I will have to pay tax and lincense to the state after I paid it to them and they kept it for themselves read more

On May 21, 2025, I saw a 2020 Ford F-150 on CARGURUS going for $20499. I called Venture auto sales and placed a deposit on this vehicle. I was in contact with a salesman by the name of Yamin, I requested several times to get additional videos of the various areas of the vehicle with the vehicle running etc. as well as additional photos. On the 24th we locked in on the price and I told Yamin that since Monday was a holiday I would send out the check to him on Tuesday for the remaining balance. On Tuesday I took a picture of this check and told Yamin that it was being mailed out via USPS mail and that the postal clerk said that it would take about 4-5 days to reach Washington State. I relayed this to Yamin who acknowledged my text. On Friday the 30th, Yamin sends me a lengthy text message apologizing as another salesman sold the vehicle I had the 2k deposit on. He said that they would send my deposit back no questions ask and asked me if I was interested in another more costly vehicle which he said was a better buy, but a year older. He said that since they did not receive my check with the balance amount that the vehicle now had to be placed back in the inventory. He made no previous statements saying that he needed this balance within 3 days of my deposit. I then spoke to the manager, Omar who said that he would help me out. But he never did after I explained what had happened and that I had already booked with Pasha Hawai'i and that they had a cancellation fee of $75 and that my credit union had a check cancellation fee of $20. I asked Omar to refund my deposit which he never did and I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company which I was found in favor. Omar later texted me indicating that my check did arrive and I advised him to shred it. Everything was just a hassle and they wanted to make it as hard as possible for me to get my money back. Very frustrating and disappointing experience. I always believed what goes around comes around so I always do my best to treat others kindly without judgment but this company was something else. I would not go out of my way and waste my time on Yelp if it was just mediocre bad business practices. In fact this is my first and only Yelp review. So if you go to Venture Auto Sales, it's up to you. But you've been warned. read more

I believe that Omar is deceptive, negligent, and fraudulent. I purchased a vehicle from him in mid-December. Our original agreement was that he would deliver the car to my residence, which I wrote in as an addendum to the contract before signing it. He offered to deliver it and then rescinded that offer. Because I needed an AWD vehicle before the winter storms, I agreed to meet him an hour and half away from my residence. I traveled there awaiting arrival, and the time kept being pushed back. After waiting for over three hours, he said that a warning light came on and he asked his "associate," a high school student, to turn around. He sent me a photograph of the warning light and assured me -- in writing -- that it was just a lane departure warning. Having now purchased the car from Omar, the Subaru dealership tells me my car doesn't even have that functionality, so he was lying. Two weeks after he finally delivered the car, the power steering went out. After a $2700 fix and month without the vehicle, I drove it for four days before the same light that he sent me a photo of came on, and what it actually means is that the engine is overheating. I took it back to Subaru, and they told me that the dealer I bought it from had not only overfilled the coolant but filled it with the wrong kind. When I bought the car, Omar said that he filled it for me as a favor, so I know that this was his doing. After a flush and refill, I had the car for a few more days before the same light came on. I took it in for a third time, and the Subaru dealership told me there is a head gasket issues, a $4300 repair. The Subaru dealership has assured me that none of these issues happen overnight, and that Omar should have been aware of them. I haven't been able to drive the car for more than three weeks total after purchasing it, because it has been in such disrepair. In a show of good faith, I asked Omar how he could make this right, stand by best business practices and his vehicles. He said "I can't do anything for you." I'm filing a complaint with the Attorney General, and I have been in contact with nine lawyers since yesterday, two of whom have already responded assuring me that I have a case. I look forward to hearing back from the others. My intent is to get back the money that he has deceitfully extracted from me and, by writing this review and bringing it to the AG, prevent him from doing this to anyone in the future. I urge anyone considering buying a vehicle from Omar to get out quickly. It's no surprise that his original business listing was getting such low reviews that he created an alternative profile.
