it was nice service. i got in around 12pm and there were a lot of space open. i had cici as my nail tech. she was really nice. overall my experience was good there's a little glitter from the chrome where i didn't want it but it's ok they're still really cute.

I have to give a huge shoutout to Helen! She is hands down one of the best nail techs I've been to. Not only is she incredibly talented with designs (seriously, she can bring almost any idea to life), but she's also fast, friendly, and super reliable. She always makes the experience relaxing and enjoyable, and her feet massages are amazing such a nice bonus that makes the appointment feel like a mini self-care session. My nails always come out looking beautiful and I get compliments on them all the time. Came in initially to get my nails done, first time coming to the shop. I requested for builder gel, but it seemed like the technician wanted me to do dip instead which threw me off, maybe it was out of good intent but I felt that the technician didn't know how to do builder gel, which is why they tried to direct me in a different path. I was then transferred to another technician and something felt off about the builder gel, maybe I'm used to the ones that come out of the bottle and are applied by brush, but the ones they had came from a tube. I decided not to get the service I originally came for and requested for a removal. It seemed like they weren't happy about my choice and really half-assed the removal. Honestly nothing was fully removed, nails were left rigid too. $20 for a half-asses removal is crazy. read more

Believe the best way to say is it that I have a heart shaped face. That means the top of my hair should look like an egg to my preference. The haircut I want isn't for the faint. Mess up and you cannot fix it. It's why most fades on my hair type sticks out and is not flat on the sides like a flat top. Once Mindy understood I was willing to take the risk, I was rewarded in something that many hairdressers cannot cut and or is willing to do. Which is to fade free hand, then rat tail comb fade the edges on top with a clipper and texture with scissors. Mind you I watched a long time before giving her the go ahead to take the risk. Sounds a lot of work right? Hair dressers will complain doing this type of cut. It's a lot of work, will take time. Mindy does this for me. And for that I tip well. To be fair, I get my hair cut once a month. But it's usually the best way to learn as the hair has grown out and everything needs to be redone again. Note. Tip what you can, I usually tip hourly wage max to half. Mindy gets more, that's how much I like the cut. 15 to 25 percent minimum wage is a good tip. That being said Mindy takes time, is patient, and remembers you. Everything you would want in a hairdresser. I really should come every two weeks but I got things to do. Mindy does textbook style hair cutting. Which doesn't work with my hair cause you don't really expect an Asian with an Afro like hair type, thick, and straight. Takes time to learn cultured hair types. My hair is a rarity. Mindy learned quickly how to cut and tame it. Qualities of a true hair dresser. Note. I got my hair cut by Lynn too. She's good, but she's busy and I believe she understands my haircut and hair is annoying to do. The guy and new girl are good too. Just a preference and patience to be had.

The next day when I arrived, we were quickly ushered to sit in our chairs (for a pedicure) and even given water as we were able to enjoy the massage chairs. The staff doing our pedicures were very friendly and attentive to doing exactly what we requested. The aesthetics of this shop is very pleasing as the shop itself is clean, neat and orderly. They also have a myriad of options for nail polish colors. I ended up selecting a gel nail polish, which at the time of writing this review, a month later, is still intact on my toe nails. (I know - I need another pedicure soon. lol) I will say the price was a little bit costly compared to other places I have been, however, that may be because we selected one of the highest packages. Either way, my mother enjoyed the shop and even upon leaving the guy at the register, welcomed us to come back by giving us a 10% off our next service coupon. I will say due to the friendly staff, the clean environment and all of the safety protocols that they take to make sure that you get a clean experience, I would definitely visit the shop again. It's definitely worth the visit.

Certainly! Here's a more professional and polished version of your review: I've visited this salon before and had a great experience--the technician I saw last time was kind, professional, and made me feel very comfortable. It was also convenient and relaxing, which is what brought me back. Unfortunately, this visit was quite different. I found the staff to be overly pushy, constantly trying to upsell additional services, which made the experience feel more transactional than enjoyable. Even the customer next to me, who seemed unfamiliar with gel nails, was pressured into upgrades she didn't fully understand, which felt inappropriate. The salon has updated their massage chairs, which is a nice touch, but I had a hard time navigating the settings. After spending several minutes trying to figure it out, I asked for help, especially since I find the tapping and shaking settings uncomfortable--but I didn't receive much assistance. While the space is still clean and the location convenient, the aggressive sales tactics and lack of attentiveness during this visit were disappointing. I hope they consider refocusing on customer comfort and transparency in the future. read more

This place is out of the way for me...but worth the drive. I "accidentally" found it while visiting friends in Elk Grove, and now I am hooked! I am VERY picky about my nails and they are too! That is what I love. So far I have seen two manicurist in this shop, and I was super impressed with their attention to detail. They did not snear or even seem slightly irritated with how picky I am and worked on my hands until I was 100% satisfied. Also worth mentioning is the spa pedicure. FABULOUS and the whole place is sparking clean...which really makes a gal feel comfortable. Having been to some,,,well lets just say, not as clean places in the Sacto area this place is great, bar none. The foot/let rub I received both times was to die for. They really took their time to make me feel pampered. Class A job!!! Worth the drive out of my way across town. I will be back!!! read more

I really enjoy this nail shop . My cousin referred me to John because he always does amazing . I am really particular on the way my coffin is done and John is the only one I allow to do my nails I have been to him about 4 times and he continues to impress me . Hell usually do his own creative ideas and makes me feel confident in stepping out my comfort zone. I came in wanting a nude natural for work and he said have u tried Ombré and I said no I never have and John said he'll do a natural ombré and I figured sure why not and I never had gotten white before not a big fan but WOW! John had did a clean professional natural white ombré perfectly. I highly recommend this nails shop and asking for John if you want a quick amazing job done on ur nails. read more

I highly recommend Venus Nail and Spa! The shop is very clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I got a French pedicure with regular polish, but the polish had a hard time drying, and the French tip kept smudging, so the lines weren't as clean as I'd hoped. My wonderful nail tech redid it three different times, always staying so patient and kind throughout the whole process. In the end, I decided to switch to gel polish, and she made sure it came out perfectly. Beyond the great service, their prices are very reasonable, and I love that they offer the option to pay with Venmo if you don't have cash on hand. Overall, it's a fantastic place with great people, and I would absolutely recommend it! read more

The customer service is absolutely horrible. The manager (male) should be fired. The nails techs have bad attitudes. Cindy aka Cici is good at what she does but has a bad attitude and double books at times. Other nail techs don't listen to customers. They do what they want to do. They aren't very friendly to African American clientele as I have experiences and others around me having to experience bad service. The owner Tracy H. she's rude to but if wish to speak with someone that's who you should speak. The manager is useless and rude. read more

I have been coming to this Venus since they 1st opened. I love the ambiance and aesthetics. They really make this a comfortable, relaxing and inviting atmosphere. They have a great selection of services, so there is something for everyone. I also love that they refresh their interior decor every couple of years to keep things new and fresh. They alll do a great job. This is one one the few nail salons I can visit without requesting a certain technician and I am confident that I will leave happy. I started going here 7 years ago and after a 3year break to try and get my own nails to grow and another 6 months trying to find a place closer to my house I am back. They are great. I usually see Jenna but if I don't make an appointment it can be hard to get her. Even after the break, they all remembered me and my daughter. It is clean and everyone there is nice. The only down side is when they all start talking in their native language, but I got over it. My nails and toes always look great read more

Awful..some girl named Lily did both hands and feet..she didn't give the full massage with my feet..all nails were so sloppy! NEVER have I ever seen such sloppy work.. I had to leave before I lost my self control.. I came back the next day..they had someone else do my hands..still not right.. was supposed to come the next day for my feet, never went back..never will return..going back to Signet.. and I tip great there but not at this place.. The salon tends to get very busy and crowed, especially on Sat and around the holidays. Of all the ladies in the shop, I like Lisa working on my nails the best. She is very meticulous and gentle. She also listens, which is very important. I am very ticklish and sensitive to filing, but she was very gentle and sweet. I LOVE LOVE her. The other workers in the shop are okay, but not on par w/ Lisa. One thing I recommend from Lisa is the French mani and pedi. read more

The floor was a little bit funky, but they had a ton of business, so I didn't hold it against them (I came in close to closing time). I had a pretty good pedicure and a killer gel fill. It was $45 for the whole sha-bang. Not super cheap, but definitely worth the price. It has been a week and I'm still lookin' so fresh and so clean. read more

Absolutely the worst services!! My daughter asked for dipping powder and they did acrylics and not done well. When I called, the owner told me to shut up and listen!! We paid the price of dipping for acrylic nails, on the top of it we got yelled at on the phone instead of fixing it. Beware of extreme rudeness and bad customer service. read more
