Came as a walk-in and they were very nice told me to come back in 30 minutes and I came back and took me right away. The place is very clean and quiet and relaxing. The woman who did my nails was fast and did a great job she even chose the color I was looking for. The gentleman who did my feet was to fast and I felt a little scared when he was cutting my cuticles on toes felt pinchy overall he painted them very good. But the no chip manicure and pedicure is a special for $53 yet I was was charged $68? I gave each a $7 tip cash. Is there a time limit for that special? I came in around two hours before closing. I'm so happy that I've found a spot so near to my apartment that does great work! The women that work here are so friendly. They greet you at the door kindly and don't just straight away ask if you have an apt. I know that won't always be the case for some people, but for me they were very kind and showed me to the polish shelves. I'm not sure what management was here before but the "new" management is awesome. I'm extremely happy with my pedicure. They have tons of color choices, clean stations and even offered me water! The water temperature was great which is something I haven't got in a while when I've gone to other previous places as of late. They pay attention to detail and their acrylic work looks amazing. I'll start by saying that I have been very cautious since Covid began and waited until the last month or so to get my nails done again. Anyway, I've now gone to Vera Nails twice and have been so impressed with all the precautions they take...medical grade cleaners are used, hand sanitizer everywhere, proper use of face masks (no hanging below the nose!), plexiglass partitions on all mani & pedi stations, adequate space between clients during services and only a small number of people in the shop both times I have been there. On top of feeling safe, they are always super sweet and they do a great job on my nails (I'm picky too!) Like the rest of us, I have been washing my hands + using hand sanitizer like a mad woman and my nails have held up. My first time there was fantastic! I got a no-chip mani and reg pedi. Massages were wonderful! Service was friendly. Bella did my nails and my mani lasted a little over 2 weeks. She was detailed and very thorough and the hand massage was almost heavenly! My second time there I just got a no-chip with Bella. While she was still very delightful, she wasn't as detailed this time and the massage was really rushed. I'm sure it was because they were quite busy on a Wednesday afternoon. I left an area where there were several nail salons who would have taken my business and drove to this location because after the fire, I felt they needed the business. Apparently not. Yesterday was my first visit around 6:40pm. I love the atmosphere and layout of this bail salon not to mention it's just a few blocks from where I live. The polish options were great and I found the exact color I had in mind. The only huge downside to my first visit here was a total miscommunication or misunderstanding on what I wanted. I called ahead an made a last minute appointment for an acrylic full set. I walked in and the reception guy was fixing me up for a pedicure. I said I came in for an acrylic full set, so one of the girls said have a seat. I sat and another woman (who was very sweet by the way) started working on cuticles. I thought this was odd since I've never had this done when getting a full set. I thought maybe they do it differently with it being such a nice place and $30 for a set here. Next thing I know she's painting my nails with the polish I chose. A regular manicure!! I wanted a full set!!!! I was super disappointed but didn't have the heart to correct the matter bc the sweet woman had already spend half an hr working cleaning up my fingers. I will be back more than likely next week ( it's a super nice place) for what I originally wanted but I feel as if I wasted $14 bc I didn't get what I came for which I said 3 times. Update: the misunderstanding was rectified by the sweet Bella from this nail salon. I believe the girl who did my nails today was named Kim. (Not sure). I love this place so much. Heard this location was a bad place but this is a new nail place located where the old place was at. Strip mall, next to my cat's vet, free parking too. The place is nice and clean, and the owner was welcoming. I popped in to see if they can get me in for a no chip manicure and deluxe pedi. Well I got in and off we went into the land of ah!!!! Typical massage chairs while you get your feet pampered. My guy did a great job on my toes and it felt so good to get it done (let's preface this: it's been a LONG time since I had a pedicure done). The owner did my no chip and a design on my ring finger by hand. Such a nice job on my short stubby nails. The tools were wrapped like surgeon tools in the sterile packets and opened upon use for the client. Impressed. You need to get a stamp card so you can get 5 bucks off when you complete 5 visits. It's close to my place so I am truly excited. Will update my review after a few more visits to ensure consistency of experience. read more

I have come here a few times, always for no chips. For no-chips, I would give them 5 stars. Recently I started with my acrylics again. I would not recommend for acrylics. A few things: it seems only only one person does acrylics. When you are getting yours done, there is someone 20 minutes behind you waiting for you to finish so he can move onto theirs. More than one nail was done crooked. Picture attached. He did not attach the acrylic tip at the end/tip of my nail, so now there is space in between my actual nail and the acrylic nail tip. I hope that is explanatory enough- a pic won't do it justice. Last, he used one of those tools that removes the stuff from the back of the nail, kind of scraping the stuff out, but he used it too close to my skin and cut behind both of my thumbs. It was bloody and painful for about 2 days. It is just now healing. So sadly, I will not return for anything other than no chips and pedicure unless they have another acrylic tech :( read more

My first time there the man was very aggressive with me when I didn't know how to move my hands. He even shouted at me when I accidentally hit my pinky nail on the nail dryer. My first two visits I got fill ins. NO CHIP. They chipped within about 3-4 days. I decided to ignore it because I don't know how long no chip is supposed to last. Now I got my acrylics removed and got just a manicure. I realize I did not ask for no chip but within 24 HOURS this is what I have! My nails are blobby and uneven. I'm a nail picker. That's right, not a biter, but worse because how short my nails become. When I can't kick the habit through shear will, I resort to a full set of acrylic nails to train my brain. I've visited Vera Nails on a few occasions before today for no chip manicure but I feel it necessary to praise Alex after just receiving my acrylic fill. I was surprised how quickly he worked on my initial full set while not compromising on detail and today was no different. While two of the nails had broke off in the second week(one while gardening/lifting concrete), I attribute it to little nail surface to begin with and not a reflection on the quality of work. This is my third time here for a dipping powder manicure and I can say after trying many different places in the city, this is the best place! They are very attentive to how you want your nails shaped and being as gentle as possible (which I'm very sensitive about). I'm so happy they're just a quick walk down the street from me! Ive gotten acrylic done before plenty of times and I decided to get them after a while of not getting them done. I noticed that some nails are thicker than others. I found this place to be very clean, friendly and thorough. I was driving past on a Friday afternoon and needed to get a pedicure before heading to the doctor later in the day. I've had a minor-ish issue with type II diabetes recently and the doctor always likes to examine my feet when I first get into her office for circulation issues, so I prefer to err on the side of caution and get my "dogs" ready for inspection. Even with the obvious language barrier between us, me and "my girl" were able to communicate with one another very efficiently and effectively. They accept credit card payments with tip, but of course, cash is always king! They offer a punch/stamp card for every five (5) visits you receive $5 off on your sixth (6th) visit.
