You can't beat the atmosphere at this new restaurant located at Perez Museum. I happen to want to go to the museum so I figured I would try out Verde. I am really glad I did because this place is a big hit. First, parking $2 an hour so coming to this restaurant is not an issue since there is a huge garage. Even though in August and it is hot and humid so how they managed to shade this place so you do not feel the heat. So yes we did sit outside for lunch. The menu is basic yet the quality is outstanding. WE got a shrimp salad with a buer blanc sauce that was amazing with sliced has avocado fanned onto the plate. Also, I got the chicken sandwich that came with fries that I actually ate ! I am not a huge fried food fan but these fries were phenomenal. The place is a little pricey but you pay for the view. Plus dogs are allowed outside so I can't wait to go back with my dog too !! read more

The best part of Verde was the view. Service was decent, though I don't agree with the other rave reviews of it. I stopped by first to get a glass of wine to enjoy on the terrace. The person behind the counter at the cafe looked at me like I was mad when I asked about the $4 special, which was clearly posted outside. I realized afterwards that it may have been for something setting up, but I didn't appreciate him treating me like I was foolish, and more importantly, being unaware of the offer. Also, they don't allow glass on the patio -- tacky. I shared the squash blossom pizza, which was fresh and flavorful, and the hamachi. Both were good. Because of the price point, which was particularly high for wine (only Cabernet is $13), I don't think I will seek Verde out, but I will try it again if I'm feeling peckish at PAMM. read more

I just left after my second visit and I couldn't be unhappier. Our first visit was good, but not great. What made it good was my chicken under a brick and the view. The rest of the food was nothing to rave about. This second visit was just upsetting. Server took long, but we understood it was busy. What really bothered me was when we placed our order the waitress said it was going to take 20 minutes to get our food. Since I was starving I asked about appetizers. She suggested we could just get the bread basket to hold us over. We said fine. I ordered the Perez chopped salad with shrimp as an add on. The base salad was $14 and I had to hunt for the 5 tiny pieces of avocado, charred corn and the barely existent shavings of heart of Palm. For $14 you would think they would be generous with what the menu advertised and not just greens. When we got the bill we got charged $8 for the bread basket, you would think the waitress would have mentioned here was a charge for it. And then $7 for the water. That is ridiculous. The weather was fabulous in Miami today so why not sit outside and enjoy Miami Winter. I ordered the Chicken Club which was absolutely delicious. Bacon, avocado, chicken, yummy bread, Mmm. This is an amazing find. A small restaurant tucked into the back of an art museum that is behind the Science Museum that is under construction. The views of the bay and the bridges from the outdoor seating and the quaint interior seating are both magnificent. Everybody that was in my group had really awesome food, but I must say that the mussels and sausage were by far the best dish. The food is not inexpensive and they don't serve you large portions, but it's a great experience and you ought to try it. I think it's great for people to have a private lunch because its not well known yet, but you can also bring a pretty sizable group and still have a lot of fun. read more

Went to Verde after visiting the PAMM on a beautiful Thursday evening. We ordered the Fried Burrata as an appetizer and split the Chicken Under A Brick and the Crispy Mahi Mahi Tacos as our meal. Quality The food was pretty average. The Fried Burrata was basically a large mozzarella stick with marinara sauce. The Chicken Under A Brick which was a large piece of chicken with chimichurri sauce with some potatoes. It was decent, but really nothing special. The Mahi Mahi Tacos were probably the best thing we ordered, but they were only the highlight with the spicy chipotle pepper sauce. Quantity The food all came in good size portions. The appetizer had enough food to share for two and each meal was plenty big. Value The food was probably a bit overpriced, but it is to be expected when dining at a museum. Considering the atmosphere and the convenience it was actually not too bad. Ambiance Verde is located on the east end of the Perez Art Museum Miami. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor seating the much more popular selection. The restaurant overlooks the waterway between downtown Miami and Miami Beach, highlighted by the neon lights across A1A. The outdoor area of the PAMM is very modern and incorporates nature into its patio. On the night we visited there was a bar set up outside as well as a DJ playing a mix of 80s dance songs. Although I feel like the outdoor seating should be brought closer to the water, it is definitely a very unique outdoor spot to have a meal. Crowd The crowd was very mixed, ranging from young couples to families to elderly couples. On the night we visited the museum has free admission so the crowd was probably a bit bigger than on a normal weekday. Service Although the outdoor area was busy, the staff quickly cleared off a table to get us seated outside. The waitress was extremely friendly and prompt, and the food came out at a perfect speed. Parking There is hourly parking right at the museum and there is a Metromover stop for the museum. The actual roads for the museum are very confusing so be prepared for Uber/Lyft drivers to get lost. Extra Verde was a very average restaurant, but not a terrible choice if you are already at the museum and hungry. Definitely seems like a place for catering a museum event rather than a spot for a nice dinner. read more

So, finally my wife and I went to the new PAMM. It's an architecture gem and sitting right by Biscayne Bay you also have a great view having your brunch. Right off the bat, we got great service and got seated pretty quick, maybe a 15-20 minute wait and that's fine as there's so much to look at. We chose to sit outside as Miami winters are so pretty and the weather is so amazing.Tthe menu is very pricey at least for what you get. We looked around at other peoples tables and the portions looked really small. We had the Wahoo Ceviche, local snapper and fries and indeed they came out in very small portions. It all tasted good, but for the price, not so much. I had an Irish coffee too and can't remember how much, but that and a water was almost $20 dollars and that's crazy. I'd say grab brunch somewhere else first and then go see all the art as it's easy $100 bucks for two people for the whole experience. read more

My boyfriend & I visited Miami from November 15-18, and we had the opportunity to eat at Verde- Perez Art Museum for Sunday brunch. The hostess and waitress were extremely welcoming and we were seated outside with a gorgeous view of the water. I started off by order the spicy verde margarita, which had a nice kick to it, and my boyfriend ordered the iced irish coffee. For food, the pizzas caught my eye and all sounded so good but I really wanted breakfast food so I went with the eggs benedict with smoked salmon. My boyfriend wanted the chicken under a brick but ultimately ordered his favorite breakfast food: steak & eggs. The eggs benedict with smoked salmon was so fresh and delicious, I am craving it again as I write this! The steak & eggs were also great and my boyfriend was impressed with the tasty red pepper puree. I'm so lucky to have this incredible gem within walking distance! I shared the crab ceviche, which was heaven, with a friend and ordered the burger as an entree. Holy Cows, it was out of this world, along with the fries. Very thinly cut fries almost like potato sticks. The fries taste as good at the end of the meal as they do on the first bite, regardless of temp. The service was also excellent and VERY friendly, of course I visited on a Thursday and not a hugely busy day like second Saturday. Sat outside and enjoyed the million dollar view. The patio provides a great view of the water and the location is excellent. Their menu offerings are extensive to include Maine lobster Benedict with a lime vinaigrette and pizza with pumpkin and kale! We tried both and were blown away. I was thoroughly taking my time and savoring every single bite of my lobster Benedict when to my dismay, I discovered a long piece of hair nestled inside the hollandaise sauce...eew! I pointed it out to my server and the manager promptly appeared and apologized. He offered to get my anything that I wanted, but I had lost my appetite, so I declined. A beautiful view and a lovely dinner. After attending a Thursday night cocktail with friends we decided to try Verde as a group. For dinner my husband and I shared the squash blossom pizza, verde cheeseburger and mahi mahi tacos. All were very good and the fries were amazing. A way to a hungry woman's heart after work is a glass of pinot noir, pizza, burger and fries. After this evening we are even considering becoming member to continue this Thursday night tradition. Had a chance to visit the restaurant while at PAMM on a Saturday. the place has a minimalist decor, great views and nice enough staff. Was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon, we put our name down and waited to be texted. Within 15 minutes we were seated. My friends and i ordered drinks, i had mimosa (blood orange) and i thought it was good. I also tried my friend's passion fruit mojito and it was yummy. The food though, to me it was lackluster. Maybe it was the fact that i ordered just a salad. My friends ordered burguer and a sandwich and they said it was good. The salad i ordered was a warm shrimp salad, which BTW, the server recommended. It was just a field of greens with 3 or 4 warm shrimp and topped with parmesan. Nothing different or exciting about it. Anyone can make a salad like that. And hinestly, not worth the $20. The best seating is outside, and to get that, it seems like you need to make a reservation and indicate that you want outdoor seating at the time you make the reservation. The food was decent, and came in large portions. Broccoli rabe and sausage pizza - My friend and I shared this, and it was definitely the right call to share, because it was way too large for one person. The pizza was pretty good and came right out of the oven. Pancakes - My little cousins got the pancakes, which were really good, but also a large portion. They came with a good amount of fruit and some whipped cream, which was delicious. The service was good, but the food was a bit overpriced for what it was. We were promptly ignored for about 10 mins before I was able to flag down a server to at least order cocktails. Finally after our cocktails were in, Stefannie finally came over and started the spew about the specials. We ordered and that was the last time we saw her till we acquired our check. Mind you the table was never bussed and was barely attended to by the waitress, whose name we only found out because it was on the check. Amazing view!! Went for lunch today and it was great. We sat outside to enjoy the view. I had the chicken under a brick and it was delicious!!! the skin on top was crispy and had a chimichurri sauce on top which was perfect and it came with Yukon potatoes. The portions are pretty big which surprised me. For dessert we had the donuts which are perfectly warm and just melt in your mouth and they come with dulce de leche sauce and guava sauce for dipping. Came here for brunch and sat outside on the most gorgeous day. Boyfriend and I shared the chicken club sandwich and the pizza with kale and arugula pesto. The view is quite nice, however it can be a little noisy from the nearby bridge vehicular traffic. The best thing about Verde was the server - wow was he professional and friendly and really wants his customers to have a good dining experience. Food was good but not great. Pizzas were okay, not bad but hardly special, a mac and cheese with beef would have been good had it not been for oversalting. Chicken under a brick tasted as good as it sounds and I guess better but I've never had a great version of this dish. Desserts were fine without wowing us. I would rate my serve a five. This is a fantastic venue with a view that is jaw dropping. The experience here is definitely a cultured experience with it being at the mall. I enjoy the low cost easy parking. The staff is quick and attentive. Marija was my waitress last time and that girl was on top of the drinks and food. I never had to ask for anything as she knew what I needed before I needed it. Great brunch spot. There's something for almost everyone on the menu. The omelettes are great, but pretty large. If you're starving, have one. If you're not famished, share the eggs with a friend. The gazpacho is full of garlic, so don't plan to do much smooching after eating this. The squash blossom pizza is awesome. The salad is delicious, but big, be ready to share this one. Sundays are pretty busy, so either get there as soon as they open or go later in the afternoon. Avoid going at 12:00 or 12:30, because that is when everyone else decides to go. The manager of the place is very unwelcoming. We arrived to the cafe apparently 15 minutes before they open. The door was open I went inside with my family that went to use the restroom while the nice host came to welcome me. The whole staff was ready all food like sandwiches prep and she was about to ask me to seat down when the manager came running telling me they open at 11 am (in 15 min really? They were all there) and that I have to leave. I told him ok but I'm just waiting for my family that is the the restroom and he said they weren't suppose to be in there in the first place and to wait outside. Then he ask me to leave and went to lock the door. When my mom came out of the restroom she was lock-in and ask him if he can open, he was been difficult and she told him but I just came in from this door. Very nasty attitude really. There are ways to treat people with some respect. I wouldn't have mind waiting for 15 min to open since we came here but with that attitude and the disrespectful way he acted I don't ever want to come here or recommend this place read more

I have been coming here since the opening and have always enjoyed the food the views and the people. Sunday brunch is a must with great choices for delicious food. Service is always friendly and on point. The negative is that the parking rates went up a lot since the opening of the science museum next door so be ready to pay $12 or more depending on how long you enjoy the food and the view. read more

The food itself isn't bad, would probably give the food a 3.5 or 4 star. But it's the whole experience that affects the rating. Fries were quite good. Tuna tartare is good but is missing an extra flavor which would be some avocado. It is also very over priced for the small portion. The service was extremely slow during a very not busy time of 4pm. So while the food is a solid 4 star I'm subtracting one to highlight the important of user experience. You need to be very clear on what is cafe, what is restaurant. My recommendation is to make them completely separate entities. We had only wanted coffee at first and so bought coffee and took a seat in the nice sitting area only to come to realization later that it was part of a restaurant. This resulted in awkward exchanges with the staff who were polite but it was very uncomfortable as we didn't know we were expected to order food. A 'please wait to be seated' sign would have sufficed. The natural logic when moving through that space is you buy whatever you need at the cashier and then you take a seat to enjoy it since there's a bunch of tables and chairs right past the cashier. It becomes a mess when you can only order certain things at the counter and certain things from your table. It felt like there were four different menus which became very chaotic. read more
