Verde is an awesome hidden gem nestled in the outdoor spaces of the Perez Art Museum, with a fantastic view of the water and a delicious menu to boot. Actually, considering the view and location, I found the prices to be more on the reasonable side. My last lunch consisted of a funky Buddha beer for $6 and a sausage and ricotta pizza for $16. The waiter enthusiastically told us that the pizza dough is made in house, and everything was really quite delightful. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again, or recommend it to my friends, but I would need to find a better parking alternative considering three hours in the parking lot basically cost me another pizza. read more

I am very impressed with this place. It's small, but very elegant and clean feeling. They have a good number of choices on the menu and the food comes out quickly. I got the gruyere omelet, which was amazing. It came with a small salad of mesculin greens, wheat toast, and potato coins. My girlfriend got the red snapper, which we both were not in love with. The snapper comes with some sort of yogurt sauce which tastes like a sour tzatziki sauce and it comes with a small portion of quinoa & 1 sugar snap pea cut into thirds. The fish was soggy and salty...bummer because the skin looked super crunchy. Service was quite impressive from the host to the busboy and everyone in between. The bathrooms are quite nice as well. Some food items are definitely better than others, the service is questionable, but overall it's a great little spot and the outdoor seating is lovely if you get good weather. I always enjoy their daily specials too, the corn chowder is delicious if they happen to be serving it that day. This restaurant has a beautiful location and the outdoor seating is great! The food...? Not so great. We ordered a chopped salad which had absolutely no flavor at all. Also we ordered the "Under the Brick Chicken" and also flavorless. We had to ask for salt and pepper and still we could not fix it. Maybe try the burgers or pizza they might be tastier... Views are beautiful. View by itself is enough to justify your visit. Food is good. Servings are a little small. Perez museum has a great architecture. Art work is really bad. Curator should be fired. On the other hand, Science Museum is great. So Verde is worth visiting to enjoy the views and sit on the rocking chairs next to the bay. read more

This was my first and most likely my only visit. Best thing about thos place os the view, if you sit outside. Order shrimp tacos for an appetizer, looked delicious. However they never arrived. Guess I will never know what they taste like. The cheeseburger I ordered however did arrive. Paid a visit to this establishment and was very impressed with the service and the food and the ambience. Had the lobster benedict and it was incredible, The key lime hollandaise sauce was delicious and the blood orange Mamosa was a delight. As a last minute Father's Day lunch idea we decided to try Verde out and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent. I ordered the Chrimp and Grits which was wonderful. The service was spot on and very timely and you can't beat the view of the port while sitting under the Pérez Art Museum's hanging gardens. And they have one of the best Bloody Mary's in town! Next time around I think we'll make it a day at the museum followed by a really great early dinner at Verde. read more

This is a beautiful sight venue with a restaurant on the deck. The view is to die for. The decorations all right. Our waiter Alexi, awesome!!! He came fast, super kind and knowledgeable of all the menu and choices. Unfortunately the lady at the reception desk is unhappy with the world around her and makes the experience a regretable one. Altogether the ambience, view and service are very good. Food is all right. The museum is nice to visit. read more

My friends and I had intentions of a nice lunch before heading to the museum. We made a 1pm reservation. We sat for 45 minutes before our orders were even taken (while other people around us were getting water refilled we still had yet to have our glasses turned)! The only reason someone followed up was because I made the effort to go to hostess to bring over the manager. Once the manager came to our table he made excuses about how he was short staffed. I work in retail so I understand to an extent but you don't make excuses to your customers. I wasn't expecting a comped item however it made what was a terrible experience so much more terribly clear once we got our check and the gratuity was already applied. The limited menu as well as the watered down espresso martini, I will not be dining here again. Also I am a member with the museum however that shouldn't matter because either way I was a paying customer and I did not appreciate the way my friends and I were treated whatsoever. You should step it up this is supposed to be a nice establishment. read more

Outstanding service, food is as well. Went for a busy Mother's Day and the service was continually good even though very busy. I don't recommend outdoor seating during the warmer months as there are no fans outside. Excellent time would visit again. read more

As soon as we were seated the host came with an attitude asking if we were expecting anyone else because he had to let the chef know.. According to the host, 'the chef was about to slit his throat', which to me made no sense and made us all a little uncomfortable. The food didn't take too long and was very good. When we asked for split checks the waiter sarcastically said "fantastic" under his breathe. By then I had no want to leave him a good tip. It's a shame for such a nice place and relatively new place to have employees making it so unappealing. Beautiful spot to enjoy a nice coffee, gentle breeze and solid food. Our brunches weren't life-changing (lobster egg benedict isn't worth the splurge), but were intent and satisfying. If you you enjoy the freshness and creativity of an airport food court this is your place. You can only hope that the engine noise of the motorcycles and lambos screeching by on the highway next door take your attention away from the the fact that your food is cold and lacks and lacks any semblance of flavor. We came here for brunch with a couple visiting from out of town. We only visited based on Heidi and her prior residence at Michael's Genuine. Oh how the mighty have fallen. This was a complete miss. The food was cold, and the service was almost as bad as the weak management. The appetizers (which was meant to be served cold) was brought after the ice cold pizza and freezing hamburger. The waitress spilled two mimosas from another table on my back while The glass shattered everywhere and soaked my clothes. They apologized and offered me a free staff t shirt. Not dry cleaning of my shirt oh and a free desert from legendary Heidi. Every single item including the desert was underwhelming. Skip the desert, actually skip the entire establishment! Save your Sunday and go somewhere else. This place is a disaster like most of Miami's new restaurants. read more

We are members of the PAMM and eat here sometimes when we visit. The food itself is usually good. In particular, the salads are interesting and make a good meal with the addition of grilled fish or shrimp. Other items such as the sandwiches are the same stuff you find everywhere (cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich, small pizzas, etc). My main complaint is the with the service. The wait staff are forgetful. They often forget to leave items off a dish or include requested add ons. Water goes unfilled. Worse, the general attitude of the wait staff and hostesses is really snooty. On our most recent visit, we hadn't noticed that the hostess station had moved back closer to the entrance of the snack bar since our last visit. We walked right by it and stood where they used to great guests. We were given a dirty look by a waitress and told to walk back to the hostess station and then we would be seated. The hostess proceeded to seat us near the entrance to the nearly empty dining room, right next to where we were originally standing. About 10 minutes later, she also sat someone with a crying infant and a fussy toddler at the very next table. (I understand that children will cry, but there had to be 20 empty tables in the room, some far away from everyone else.) We would have asked to be moved, but our food arrived at the same time. To top it off, parts of the order were incorrect. Another issue is that the museum also sells snacks and drinks for those not wiling or able to shell out $15-30 a plate for lunch. However, those patrons are forced to sit outside on the stairs or on one of a few dirty picnic tables way off on one end of the patio. Even when the outside tables for Verde are empty, the wait staff refuses to let anyone near them and they are immediately rude when you sit down at one of them, unaware they are only for the restaurant patrons. PAMM is a good art museum. However, I don't see the need for the rudeness. I've been to plenty of museum cafes all over the country and never been treated badly. No matter the status of the museum, there is no excuse for rude and snotty behavior. Great art museums are inclusive, not exclusive. The food here isn't good enough to tolerate the snotty attitude. We'll be due to renew our museum membership soon. Based on our experiences at the restaurant, I doubt we will remain as members. I highly recommend visiting PAMM while you are in Miami. However, I would eat lunch or dinner elsewhere. There are lots of great restaurants in Miami. If you need a break, grab an expresso from the snack bar and sit out on the beautiful patio with the hoi polloi. read more

I've been to Verde twice now, and must say that despite some of the prices being slightly high, the food doesn't disappoint. What is especially nice is the scenery, with a very beautiful view of the Biscayne Bay and the Port of Miami. I've tried the Verde Cheeseburger and the Chicken Club sandwich, and both were delicious. The fries that come with the sandwiches are the thin cut variety, and are soooo good. Recommend this place for a nice lunch! read more
