Called this morning to see if I qualified for an iPhone upgrade since it wasn't completely clear online. They took my info and said yes, gave me a price estimate $80 to upgrade. I drive ~25 minutes to the store this afternoon, speak to the same gentleman I did this morning. Suddenly I no longer qualify for the upgrade and would need to pay full price for the phone or pay more to have an advanced plan to qualify. I was very disappointed with this and got stuck in traffic on the way home to add insult to injury. I left that yogurt store, and I didn't get the yogurt that I wanted. And then I had a hard time the rest of the weekend. read more

The manager Brian is the rudest person I have ever met in my entire life and is completely disrespectful. Cancelled my appointment without my consent and told me he could not help me. Reported him to corporate and made a formal complaint and will be following up with them to know he has been dealt with. read more

Very disrespectful! When I walked in there today the asian worker at the desk was poking fun of the serious question I asked. The question was what do I do with my Verizon router after we switched providers. The worker could have been more polite about the situation but the dude made fun of the question I asked and told me to call customer service. I will never go back to this Verizon to ask a question again beware bad customer service and very unprofessional. read more

I came in to an empty store an hour before closing and the store manager, Rydell, was very quick to greet me and ask me what I needed. I honestly had no idea what I needed but I knew I wanted a new phone. He was very patient with me and my lack of cell phone knowledge and took his time to explain to me what I was purchasing and why it was a good decision. I left the store feeling very satisfied with my purchase. I returned to this specific store whenever I needed help with anything. That was three years ago. Now Rydell and I are married and have seven children. I still have the same iPhone 5 he sold me and I won't ever upgrade :) read more

Under new management with Staff who are very knowledgeable and work hard to get the most for your money spent with Verizon. Highly recommend giving this location a shot at earning your business hands down. read more

Though they have a sign outside that says "Verizon," they're not really a Verizon store. Went in to inquire about getting a new phone, as I had a problem having it sent to me. Verizon said I would need to see an in-store associate, so I intended to explain the situation and hope they could just give me one their. Well, suffice to say, they were pretty useless. The fellow helping started out polite but became more and more curt as my attempt to address the problem wore on. Ultimately he said "there's nothing I can do, you have to go somewhere else. We're not really a Verizon store." Basically they lease the name from corporate to sell chargers and accessories. They can't actually assist in upgrades or real issues, so don't waste your time. BUYER BEWARE. This is NOT an authorized Verizon dealer and they do not tell you that when you are in the store. Beware of hidden charges that they add to your bill. They had a nice scam where if you buy a phone you got a free tablet. Nowhere on the sign does it say that you have to pay an activation fee and will be charged for a phone line until you are already checked out. read more

Be warned they are not an authorized verizon dealer so when you have problems with a phone they cannot help you. Nice scam . You get turfed to verizon customer service. iPhone 7, for the 3rd time, stopped working as a phone, so I visited the Newberry, SC store while in town. The arrogance and rude attitude was immediate when I walked in. Eventually my problem with the phone was resolved, but I'll never, ever again visit this company & experience the obvious anti-white attitude that seems their way of doing business. read more

This was the absolute worst retail experience I've ever had in my my entire life. One star is too good for this joke of a store. The only reason I went there was because my router at home was down that day and I needed to activate my new IPhone. When I entered there were 3 "sales" people sitting in the back of the store playing on their phones. The one salesgirl, Nathaly, was completely annoyed she had to work for a minute and wait on me. All I needed was my brand new IPhone 8 activated and the data transferred from my previous phone. Something that several years ago took about 10 minutes and cost $5. Nathaly told me it would be a 1/2 hour and cost $42. I was like fine. I left and came back a half hour later only to find out it would be an additional half hour to complete the task. She told me to go home while she would keep both phones. Reluctantly I said I would wait in the store. I didn't have time to go home and come back. After another 15 minutes of waiting I asked how much longer and Brian P the so -called manager told me he'd refund my money and he kicked me out of the store. I guess in this Verizon store the customer is always wrong. I didn't know asking how much longer your service would take gets you thrown out in the street. I reported this SHADY store and their INCOMPETENT manager Brian to Verizon and this complaint is being investigated. Verizon credited me $50 to my phone bill for this inconvenience. In addition, Brian also put his name on my new iPhone. Meaning after he was through "activating" it he put HIS name where MY name is supposed to be. The place where the owners name belongs. Not sure if identity theft was about to happen but when I contacted Apple they could not understand why he named MY new iPhone after himself. Apple politely walked me through the process of wiping his name off my phone and putting mine in. My advice? AVOID THIS STORE COMPLETELY! RUDE AND SHADY! read more

Been going here for years becaues of the location. Odds are you will wait in line and have terrible service. Most are unprofessoinal and not very well trained. I never get out in under an hour when I need assistance with a phone or purchase. Very unusual to have a pleasant experience at the store in the Promenade Shops. read more
