After being a Verizon customer for approximately 21 years, I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I have spent more than 20 hours trying to resolve repeated account, contract, pricing, and insurance issues, and my agreement required multiple corrections while I received inconsistent information from different representatives. March 21: I signed my contract. During enrollment, the contract terms, conditions, pricing details, and limitations were not clearly explained. The plan was presented as approximately $45 unlimited service including hotspot, but the actual costs and added charges became significantly higher. At the same time, I specifically requested mobile replacement protection through Asurion for my phones in case of damage or replacement needs. April 21: I contacted Verizon after discovering the requested mobile replacement coverage had not been added correctly. Instead, I was enrolled in technical support coverage, which is completely different from mobile device replacement insurance. May 05: I called again specifically to verify that my phone replacement insurance had been corrected and added to the contract. I was told everything was properly set up. May 23: After calling again, I learned that the requested coverage and corrections still had not been handled as expected. My concerns include: * Contract terms not fully explained at signing * Pricing differences from what was presented * Lack of transparency regarding costs and promotions * Incorrect insurance enrollment * Repeated account corrections * Excessive time spent trying to fix avoidable issues After more than two decades as a customer, I expected better communication, accuracy, and transparency. The employees are not helpful, and do not seem to know what they are talking about. I went to switch plans and upgrade my phone. I wanted to keep my phone number which had extra steps, they gave me a phone number and told me to call it. They couldn't even tell me what the process was and left me confused, which ended up in a 1 month delay. I went back after a month and found out that I was misinformed. When I asked a clarifying question I was met with a defensive and harsh response. I left and went to the Verizon store on Switzer Canyon and Route 66, much more informative and understanding employees there. read more

Terrible Verizon location. Switched over from t mobile and traded in my phone. Was told the trade in would appear on my bill and that the representatives would contact me with an update three times. They stated they would personally text and call me. No response from store. I called and went in person and was pushed off and told they'd contact me. Had to work with Verizon online for assistance three months later and was told store didn't escalate the trade in and it was not found. Don't go to this location, they are not helpful. read more

This store has gone downhill. It used to be staffed with friendly and helpful people. No more. I went in yesterday to get help with factory re-setting my tablet. The employee just basically said, "There's nothing I can do to help you. The device is basically useless forever because you forgot your login pattern." He did not offer to call Verizon corporate to assist me - nothing. I subsequently called Verizon corporate from home, and the friendly representative walked me through the process over the phone - I was back in business in 30 minutes, able to again use my tablet after many months. I thought it would be better to visit a store and get help in person... but don't waste your time at this particular store, at least. They've lost all my future business. It's the closest to my house, but not worth the time. If this guy had been the least bit helpful, or expressed even a willingness to help, I was open to upgrading my phone and buying some accessories. They have the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Very rude. They said they don't get paid to talk to customers. They get paid for selling stuff. They set up my phones incorrectly and would not fix the problem. They also refused to accept the return of the phones because they said they were damaged. We couldn't use the phones so they were kept in boxes. Now I have two phones that don't work. read more

My wife and I visited the Verizon store at Milton Rd. to have an old iPhone number switched to a new iPhone. We have been Verizon customers for over 10 years and have been to several Verizon stores in the past with no complaints, but this store was different. To port our phone number from one iPhone to a new one they wanted to charge us $60! One of the first questions they asked was where we purchased the phone, so I'm assuming they have a charge if you purchased the phone elsewhere. But $60! We went to another Verizon store just a few miles away and they performed the service for free, just as every other Verizon store has done in the past. We ended up spending over $70 for accessories at the other Verizon store, so they not only lost out on that sale but lost a customer as well. I would not recommend this Verizon store to anyone. read more

We stopped in to make a payment on a Verizon account.. Upon arriving the sales associate Taylor was extremely rude and said that all stores charge for payments. I expressed that I've never been charged to make a payment at any other location and he decided to get more combative insisting that he should charge an extra fee because he has to actually work to accommodate customers and I didn't know what I was talking about and that I have been charged (likely more) in the past and just didn't know about it. After him implying I was a liar I offered him to pull up my account to prove it but he couldn't be bothered. I said no problem on paying the fee but he wouldn't let it go and move through the transaction. Instead of hearing his bitter nonsense further I walked out and if he was concerned about his commission he would have realized if he was actually polite that I was also there to upgrade to the new iPhone 13 Pro. Based on the other reviews it seems this store doesn't offer customer service but chooses to cause frustration to Verizon customer base. Capital F for this associate. read more

I stopped in to see about adding either a new line or device to up my unlimited plan on Verizon, as I was hitting my data limit. The sales person immediately offered me another mifi for another 15GB of data. Right away my data maxed out again, so my wife called Verizon, (not another reseller, which they warned her about). Verizon told us that the data would roll over, which is why the data was maxed out. Then they told her to return the device as they had another option. So, I return it, tell them why, and they want a $35 restocking fee, and tell me Verizon is wrong. So we get Verizon on the phone, who does some checking and it turns out the store was right. That would be okay, except the manager hung up with Verizon, looked at me and said "there WILL be a restocking fee" with an 'I told you so' attitude. Now, since clearly Verizon wasn't too sure of the policy, you'd think that this store would have a bit of understanding when a customer was told two different stories... nope. "There WILL be a restocking fee". They were right, I was misinformed. No grace in winning... Nothing but, "There WILL be a restocking fee" I will add, when I asked if he thought my wife was lying about talking to Verizon, his response was "I don't know". Wrong answer. To finalize, Verizon credited us the restocking fee and told us never to go to a reseller again. Sometimes, companies need to know, it's not about money. Went in on a Sunday, March 7. There was a male and female staff member, neither of who acknowledged me as I came in. I had pre-purchased a phone, and as soon as the make staff member realized he would not be making a commission off of me he turned his attention to customers where he would make a commission. I was in that store for four hours to simply switch my old iPhone to a new iPhone. The female associate recognized that the customer service of the male associate was so poor. She apologized for his customer service and helped me out herself. I do not recommend this store. It always takes a long time but I was in there for four hours. There is no excuse for this and no excuse for poor customer service because of commissions. Alex, The male associate was chatty and jovial with the customers he was making a commission off. He did not even say hello or ask me and my daughter how we were doing. It wasn't until I said I was going to make a complaint that he started to engage with us. Check your emailed invoice before leaving the building for hidden charges! I found a charge for REDUX Membership and when I went back in to sort out this charge I was given the runaround and treated like a sucker for not noticing this charge. It's so disarming because my first experience was great, and I thought the extra charge was a mistake that would be easily cleared up. But no, the 5 salespeople there made me feel like an idiot and told me it was part of setup (we bought two phones and all their accessories), then it was part of a water protection plan. I did not agree to it, and like a fool I was warned over by who I thought was a great salesman only to realize they are all trained in this shady practice. read more

I went in on the day the new iPhone 6s came out looking for the plus 64 gig. Just went in to ask if they had it in and the guy in there told me no, that it didn't even come out until October 7th. It's so great when skeezy sales men tell you lies like this that are so easily verifiable. I even repeated him, and asked are you sure? And he lied again! It's actually funny. All so he can try to make a pitch on getting me to buy the normal 6s right then. Don't go here! Actually, it's best if you just go to the normal Verizon store. The worst customer service. They had my phone for ten days, and never called to notify me. Then the sales associate didn't know how to set the phone up, and she blames Apple....lastly, she entered my name incorrectly when I originally purchased the phone (I gave her my drivers license when she registered me), and it took her an hour to correct that when I came by to pick it up. The best part? The sales associate tried to blame me for giving her the wrong name, lied telling me she called when the phone arrived (she admitted it was only once and that she didn't leave a VM...so yea), and then blamed Apple because she could figure out how to activate the phone. Apparently the "warehouse" was out and my order wasn't even taken so they knew the days before and no call. The offer was "we can place the order again" they didn't think there would be any phones for a while and had no answers for me. I left for the route 66 store. These guys are the shadiest bunch of liars and crooks in all of Flagstaff. First, they charged me for a "service" without explaining it or asking me if I wanted it. When I went back in, the "manager" refused any responsibility for the lie, and was extremely reluctant to credit it back. Second, they sold and installed a screen protector that did not work, and when I brought it back they refused to do anything about it - and made me arrange the vendor to send me a replacement (which was against the vendor's policy but they worked with me) to bring back to the store for a credit. When I did that, the store had "technical issues" that would not allow for a refund - I had to wait for a check to come in the mail. Finally, the sales person lied about my employer discount, saying I would be able to keep it and even gave me an estimated charge...only to find out on my next bill from Verizon that my new plan did not qualify for the discount. Do yourself a favor: avoid these liars and crooks at all costs. Go to a retailer or an actual Verizon store that will not try to rob you blind. read more

I switched over from Sprint and had many questions and the representative there was very pleasant and willing to answer all of my concerns. I had to order my phone and it took a few days to ship. I received a call on the day the phone was promised and I went in the employees were very helpful with switching all my context over to the new phone and made sure everything was set up for me. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service that was offered to me and I wasn't treated like a sell in my eyes and that is what is important to me. I would highly recommend this store. I normally go to the Route 66 store, but this location was closer to where I was so I popped in to ask them to put on a new screen protector. First, the guy told me that there was a $10 charge for doing so, which I've never heard of. (I just had a screen protector put on at another location a month or two before and there was no charge.) Then he proceeded to tell me that the plastic screen protector I was putting on was obsolete and that glass was so much better. When I explained I preferred plastic over glass, he still seemed baffled by this, and then finally told me he couldn't put it on for me and that I should go to the Route 66 location...which I did. I drove to the Route 66 location (where I've gone before) and 1) they did not charge me to put on the screen protector, and 2) they were much more professional and willing to help me. I found out the Milton location is a third-party dealer, while the Route 66 location is a corporate-owned store (which explains a lot). I highly recommend avoiding the Milton location and just going to the corporate-owned store at 1430 E Route 66 instead. The guys at the Milton store just didn't see like they wanted to do their job... read more
