However, Cadi and Mason were both extremely helpful and pleasant with me in helping me order a new screen for my apple phone and then putting it on. I hope this is a new trend at Verizon retailers because it's been nothing but bad in the past. Bette, Lewes

Upon entering the store, the male representatives were occupied assisting other customers, while the available female representative barely acknowledged me. I explained that I had been referred by another Verizon representative who had attempted to assist me by telephone. Rather than reviewing the notes or making an effort to understand the situation, the Victra representative immediately presented one objection after another, stating, "You will need to pay $30, regardless of what the other agent said," and that it would take 24-48 hours for my phone to be unlocked or I would need to purchase another phone. Rather than continue an unproductive interaction, I left the store, contacted my previous cell provider to verify that the transfer had been completed, and proceeded to the Verizon location in Rehoboth Beach. My experience there was completely different. Alex of TCC welcomed me warmly, explained that he would assist me as soon as he finished helping another customer, and then provided exceptional customer service. He took the time to troubleshoot the issue, remained patient and professional, and ensured that my service was fully activated before allowing me to leave the store. I also want to recognize the Verizon telephone representative I initially spoke with, who followed up with me the following day to ensure that my phone service had been successfully activated. That follow-through was greatly appreciated. Alex and the telephone representative demonstrated what genuine customer care looks like--professionalism, patience, accountability, and a sincere commitment to resolving the customer's issue. Although my initial experience at the Victra store was extremely disappointing, the exceptional service I received from Alex and the telephone representative restored my confidence in Verizon's commitment to its customers.

Went to the Ocean View Verizon store and John was extremely helpful. Also helped me figure out a way where I didn't need to spend $1,000 on a new phone when the phone my son lost was only a month old. We were in and out with a new phone within 30 minutes.

I didn't have an unlimited data plan, so I stopped into this store. I was advised by 'Brittany' to upgrade my iphone 13 to an iphone 17pro. Okay. I was told that my additional cost would be the increased data usage and a $3.50 increase per month for three years for the "Pro" model. I agreed and put my signature on the scratch pad. The first clue I had a problem was that my new bill rose from $81 per month to $216 for the next month. I didn't like it, but Brittany told me that my new charges would be prorated for the first month and my future monthly bills would go down to approximately $100 plus the $3 charge for the "Pro" model. "About $103 dollars and change. But I looked more closely at the Verizon bill. There was, among other charges, a $40 "Upgrade fee". AND, the $3 per month for three years of the contract had increased to $7.70 per month. If you do the math, in three years, I'm paying 1/3 of the cost of buying the phone outright. Now, here comes the 'kicker'. I saw my new credit card statement. Instead of my signature AGREEING to the $3 per month charge, without any notification or approval, Brittany tagged on a $99.99 charge. I had to call the store to get a receipt. That nearly one hundred dollar charge covered a "DEVICE INITIATION/SETUP FEE" ($70) and a REDUX Water Protection Membership ($27.99). I didn't approve these charges, but they were on my credit card statement. I got scammed. I don't like getting scammed. Buyer beware of what they tell you in this store, and what you'll end up paying. I'm going back to the store today and I hope I get things straightened out.

Mediacom - 76mb/s on a hard wired 1gig service... WTF?!

Since relocating to Delaware, we have been using Mediacom Xtream for TV & Internet for about 14…read moremonths. Prior to that we had used Verizon Fios and Comcast/Xfinity. During the majority of the time we have had Mediacom, the quality of TV and Internet performance has been very good to excellent, and the quality of technical support has been excellent. Pricing was slightly higher than we have paid for similar service in the past, but comparable. However, since our initial honeymoon period ended (after 12 months) the price has jumped by 20%, and the quality of service has plummeted. In the past week, there were two days when Internet service was completely down for several hours, and two additional days when it was out repeatedly for multiple short 10-15 minute periods throughout much of the day. Technical support is still very good, but on a house call to "upgrade" my service a couple months ago, the tech was going to replace my TV set top box with a new wireless-only box (i.e. no hardwire Ethernet connection) and I declined--choosing to keep my current hardware instead. While going wireless/WiFi is very versatile and convenient when it is working well, it makes no sense at all for Mediacom to abandon the Ethernet connection--which is by far the fastest, best, and most reliable interface--altogether. That technical decision by Mediacom is bound to cause them headaches in the future and result in a long term decrease in customer satisfaction. I am glad I was able to stop the tech before making that change on my home network. If the price did not increase by as much as it did after the first year (sort of a backhanded anniversary "gift" from Mediacom!) I would find it easier to overlook the performance issues and the attempt to implement an arguably unwise technical migration (to a wireless-only network) on my network. Unfortunately, in coastal Delaware there is currently no competition for the internet and TV business. Still, I I would hesitate to recommend Mediacom with any degree of enthusiasm, and I will be looking to replace them at the earliest opportunity.
