I have been doing business with this particular Verizon store for close to a decade. It has undergone many changes, but they have always been very pleasant and helpful to me and my family. NEVER more so than yesterday when I brought in my wife's phone which has had a long standing issue (5 years-ish) - something 2 previous visits to other stores didn't resolve . A tech named Connor at this Cobb Corner store took it as a personal challenge to find the solution. After 15-20 minutes and multiple attempts, we were about to give up and he said "let me try one more thing"and Shazam and it finally works the way it suppose to!!! I never write reviews, but I have never had such a frustrating retail experience in my entire life. My family and I spent over 24 hours trying to get 4 upgrades during which 3 of the 4 phones were disconnected at the wrong times and it took over 3 hours each to get them reconnected with online support. Each trip to the store was at least 1.5 hours and ended with "our system went down", "I don't have the code for that", the "manager is out of town", "30 days were up on the 29th day", etc. There were always multiple customers in the store frustrated and waiting for their supposed appointment time or told to come and no appointment was needed and then just had to wait. I had no idea that this Verizon was not "corporate" and therefore had limited abilities and we could not go to other stores for help when things were not working out, the only option was online/phone support. I suggest you avoid this location unless you have many hours to spare and are a master of patience. read more

Hi all! I wanted to provide some information I wish I had known about the Verizon Wireless Zone store in Cobbs Corner next to shaws. I didn't know that if I ordered my kids gizmo watches through them that they could charge more than the retail price (without any promos online). When I picked up the watches yesterday I was told the product price of each was $185 vs $150 on the Verizon website. They noted I would be charged an additional fee of $35 to activate each line (that is noted online). When i questioned why the price of the product itself was different they said they "charge whatever is in their system). I couldn't get a clear answer from them on whether they can charge more than the prices noted online. Buyer beware. It's $70 but in hindsight I wish i had ordered directly through Verizon. read more

The Wireless Wireless Zone store in Hudson is the best! I spent 5 hours there the week of July 23rd getting my Galaxy S23 Ultra fixed. Elizabeth tried everything (for 2 hours) the first day to get it going. She was very friendly & when she couldn't get it going she suggested I have Mike look at it. She said he was the "Droid guru". I went back the next day to see Mike. He tried everything. He ended up having to back everything up, wipe my phone & re-install everything. He was so patient & so kind. He made the nightmare with my phone kind of fun while he was fixing it & explained what he was doing every step of the way. He spent 3 hours with me. He was fantastic. I had planned to switch my Dad (79) & I to iPhones in April 2024 when I was due for an upgrade. He was having trouble with his Droid tablet the following week, so he went up to the store. He came home with an iPhone and an iPad! Since I'm his "IT person", I went up to the store the next day to get myself an iPhone so I can figure it out & be able to help him. I waited for Mike to help me because he was so great the week before. He was fantastic again. My Dad thought he was great too. He's not one to fill out a survey-EVER. He works with leather & had made himself a case for his iPad. Mike told him he liked it. When I was headed up to the store he took the iPad out of the case & said "give this to Mike. I appreciate people that are good at their jobs". If you knew my Dad you'd know that's a HUGE compliment. I LOVE that store. Everyone is very friendly, competent & you don't feel like a #. You get great 1:1 customer service and never feel like you're being rushed out of the store... I went to the big store once. I was given a # and treated like one. I won't go back. This place was terrible none of the staff wanted to help anyone. I asked a very simple question about signing up for the college student discount program which is something that they should know how to handle. Instead he says he doesn't know how to help and he doesn't know how that works. He gave an older lady that same excuse just before meeting with me and just tried to get her to buy a newer phone when she repeatedly told him that she wasn't comfortable with smartphones. read more

Fantastic experience. Superb customer support. Can't say enough about Tom Farrell at the Cobbs Corner Verizon store. Helped me chose a new phone, transferred my data, explained how I could save money on my service, made me aware of streaming services I didn't know I had and installed them. Most appreciated was that he still had the patience to guide me through my phones features so I could properly understand them. I am so happy with the service provided that I've told other family members about Tom and they have traveled to his store despite other Verizon stores being closer to their home. I arrived today with a few issues on my new iPhone 12, their specialist knew exactly what was going on. He knew that it was a faulty Sim card and replaced it with a new SIM card. That remedied the situation instantly. It was a very positive experience and exceeded my expectations. read more

He makes it easy to shop and feel confident in any decision from upgrades and plan selections to billing questions and services. I ask a ton of questions and he always follows up in a quick and professional manner. I recently worked with Eric L., who spent a considerable amount of time talking with me us about our options. Rather than trying to upsell us or boss us around, he patiently explained our options and the pros/cons of each, and then gently suggested the plan that would be the most cost effective for us. (And actually even point blank advised one of us to NOT switch to Verizon, because of the good discount he was getting elsewhere.) It was the exact opposite of a high-pressure sales situation. Our impression of him was that he knows his stuff and wants what's best for the customer, and when we did decide to set up a new line, he made it as quick and painless as possible. Thank you JT for getting my Samsung phone out of voice assist mode which locked me out! This is the second time my phone locked me out and voice assistant would not stop and I raced over to the store and walked in to the store at Cobbs Corner not long before they were set to close on a Saturday night and was greeted by JT who just took my phone and completely solved the problem and told me what I needed to do if it happens again. He was so kind. Last year two other employees helped me with the same issue. I am very grateful for the excellent help and the great attitude of the people who provided it. read more

I have been loyal to this franchise for 4 years- been a Verizon customer for 22 years !!! Eric the owner really really screwed me this time! First he gave me a used phone for my free new phone upgrade... Told me it was new- died shortly after- then he gave me a refurbished phone as a replacement!!! BUT put it in his system as a new phone then started a NEW 2 year contract also without my knowledge! VERIZON corporate was the one to tell me this!!!! My previously 4 owner phone was about to die- I was home flat on my back after a surgery- I called Eric and asked him to send me A replacement phone in case of a 911 emergency... He said he would help me- NEVER heard from him again.. My phone dies- NOW because he started a bogus 2 yr contract I had to get a diff # otherwise pay 350.00 early termination fee!!!! And rent a new phone - becsuse he also changed my free upgrade date!!! My bill went from 70.00 a month to 150.00!!!! I've filed a complaint with the attorney general- waiting to hear!!! Eric probably sells cars too!!! Verizon corporate says he has the ability to DO THE RIGHT THING and REVERSE all..., not holding my breath read more

I had a great experience here. Eric (the owner) reviewed my service plan and determined that I could get a better plan for less money even with a new iPhone. I now have unlimited talk and text, more data than I had before, plus a new iPhone 6s - and it all comes out to be about $18 less per month than I was paying. Eric spent a lot of time configuring the new phone and transferring all my photos, email, etc. over. I left with a smile on my face. I highly recommend this store and will definitely go back for any verizon needs. read more

Gave them another shot, WOW, what a difference 2 years makes. (See my prior review from 10/28/2016.) My contract for fios was up again and so with that in mind, I was going to Shaw's for some groceries and looked in the window to see if any of the individuals working were the same as those that were working 2 years ago. If they had, I would never have walked in. I saw 4 fresh faces and so I went in. I was assisted by a new employee, Scott, initially and while he did not have all the answers, Eric and Brett both assisted, while working with other customers, making sure that all were taken care of. Went through all of my options and while I was trying to lower my bill, I was able to keep my bill at the same rate but get much more in the way of internet speed, which as someone that works from home and needs internet, was a big bonus. Eventually, after getting the best deal I could on a new 2-year contract, I was able to schedule a tech to come out as with the increase to the top internet speed, new equipment is needed in my home. What a difference 2 years makes. The individuals that I dealt with 2 years ago, clearly have moved on, which from a customer service standpoint probably increased the stores bottom line financially. Now, when my current phone contract is up with an alternate carrier, I will have some confidence to go in and get three new phones and a new plane from Verizon. Thank you Scott, Brett and Eric. Do not go to this place. They do not care about the customer they only care about making a buck. I went there because my phone was not charging correctly. The gentleman that took care of me said it was the battery without looking at the phone and told me it would be $200 to replace or buy a new phone. I told him I only had the phone for 18 months and it wasn't paid off yet and asked if there was anything they could do especially since I have been a customer for a long time. He told me those were my only two choices. I brought the phone home not happy with the service and called a store called The Fix located at the South shore plaza. They told me to bring it in. I told them Verizon said it needed a battery, he said it would be $60 dollars. Before he began work on it he actually looked at the phone and said its not the battery it was the port. He replaced the port for just $60 and the phone works great now. Verizon should have cared as much as that place did but they were only concerned about their bottom line. I will never go back there again. read more

I have been a good customer of this local store purchasing Samsung Androids and iPhones for my family since they opened. (most recently Samsung S4, S6 Edge, and two iPhone 6s) I even spoke to another customer there once who was about to walk out since she was unhappy about her Customer Service experience and told her to use the guy that was helpful for me (Matt, no longer there) and she stayed and bought an iPhone 6 for her daughter. The representatives that had been helpful in the past unfortunately would no longer be working there during subsequent visits. My last visit I think is the one that has finally turned me to finding another retail store for my business going forward. My son's phone has a very cracked screen I was looking to see what my options were for the insurance plan I have for his phone. I got the options and we decided that we would wait 7 months till the contract was up and we can get an upgraded phone at that time rather than spend $99 for a new phone of the same type he currently has (Samsung S4, happy with but he wanted an upgrade after the 2nd year to a newer phone). During the same visit, we mentioned that the charge wasn't working well, for 6 months, but we had a work around that was sufficient and charging his phone by not touching the cord while plugged in and it worked charging his phone each time. After bringing in the phone, someone from the back came around and took the phone to look at and then pulled out a toothbrush to scrape away inside to clean the charging input. After that visit, the charge had completely stopped working. The next day, we went back to the store and spoke with Rocky. It was like talking to a wall. So unhelpful and unfriendly. Not offering any type of resolution other than using the insurance and spending $99 which was what we decided not to do and were comfortable with using the phone as is prior to them affecting the charging mechanism and now no longer working at all. He said we can spend $50 for a new charge input mechanism but why should we pay the full amount for something that was sufficiently working to charging the device prior. I would have been happy to meet him halfway or consider any other option but he kept repeating that we would have to pay the $99 through the insurance even though the actions of the store caused the phone to stop charging. Ultimately, it was mostly the attitude of the rep which is why we walked out and will be shopping elsewhere. read more

I just left this verizon wireless store and they were so helpful! Rocky helped me with all my issues and took my stress away! Every time I go in there the owner, "Eric" and always so pleasant and great to talk to! The staff is the best! Definetly go to this store if you ever have problems with your phone or if you just want to pay your cell bill! These guys r the best!! read more
