Signed up with Verizon mobile service Dec 18, from Xfinity and have encountered more disservice, confusion, deceit and deception, never experienced with Xfinity. I tried to add a smartwatch to the Z7flip7 and I paid the down-payment only to be lied to by Verizon and FedEx, two times, and paying extra to expedite shipping. FedEx claimed an attempt to deliver when no notice was ever left nor door knocked on. Then told me twice they will deliver by 8pm the next night but never showed. Verizon stood by those lies, thus never got the delivery. Then, when I chatted online with Verizon reps, to go in and purchase the smartwatch, someone named Kim contacted me to claim I was lied to that the delivery order was not canceled, although I read to her messages from Verizon reps that the delivery order was canceled and replaced with a new order that would allow me to go into the store and get the item, she said I couldn't, even tho I paid the deposit! Oh well, I know when my business is not wanted, back to Xfinity! read more

My husband and I stopped by this Verizon location for new phones a few weeks ago. I hate getting new phones. It takes forever. Always. And the store was sold out of a lot of options (I wanted an Android but they were sold out of all Androids that were reasonably sized, so I ended up with an iPhone which isn't what I preferred). But the customer service was solid (wish I could remember the name of the man who helped us). It made up for the fact that we had to be there for ages and that they didn't have a lot of the phones displayed on the floor. read more

We went shopping for new phones, and had a great experience. We walked to the store through the beautiful city, and were waited on within 5 minutes of checking in. We left a few hours later very happy, and stocked up with lots of new electronics. I got my first tablet, and splurged on a keypad for it, and my wife gave me her phone upgrade, so I could get a new phone. Thank you love..... Robins son got a new phone too, and he loves it!! It's a straight up Verizon store - so you know what you're getting into ahead of time. The store is kept clean, and the people working there are rather nice while you're looking around. They have a pretty good queue system for when it gets crazy, but if it's quite the staff will answer questions as you browse. The downside is that the staff can use the hard-sell technique once you start buying something. Comparing between two phones: You'll get great advice. Trying to decide if you really need that hard glass cover... yeah, that's when the pressure comes on. The frustrating thing is, the prices aren't always straight forward (with discounts etc) so to know if that Samsung VR is on sale or not means them having to add it to your cart. Now you have to convince them to take it out when it's not on sale. Repeat for other random items you want to check on. read more

Very disappointed at the service I received here from the store manager, Kareem. Walked in off the street and wanted to pick up a pixel stand. Long story short, the store manager ships the pixel stand to the wrong address in a different state that belongs to one of the other people on the same Verizon account with me. I tried calling Verizon customer support to fix the problem, was told it would be fixed numerous times over multiple days and it never was. This place sucks. High pressure environment and people that do not know the products or services. There is a sales tactic that is often tried to be covered up as "customer service" and this is called "stacking the door". Which is practiced here. It's where sales people stand literally at the door and stop you when you come in and ask what they can help you with. Having taught sales techniques and consulting for a few years, I recognized this immediately. For the most part business no longer practice this as it's frowned upon now. If you want to just look at a phone you'll be stopped by 2 people entering the door and constantly harassed by a sales person on the floor. This is a poor business practice and you should avoid this place. The customer service hotline or online chat is far more helpful. read more

2 days, 3 hours on phone, only to have them hang up on the automated call stated my account number was wrong or my password was wrong, or let me transfer you to the right department (18 x's over 3 months) trying to get our service corrected that they messed up 3 months ago. I needed an upgrade and since Verizon is trying to take away my unlimited data plan, I had to pay full retail for my new device. I bought the phone online and scheduled in-store pickup to avoid the frustration that is dealing with Verizon employees on any level. Well, that didn't work. They threw me in the pen with everyone else. I was ignored and dismissed when I tried to explain that I was just picking up a purchase and didn't need anyone's assistance. If you think Verizon corporate customer service is bad, wait until you get a load of their personal touch. After 15 minutes, I approached someone who was standing around doing nothing and explained my situation again. He claimed to be the manager, but refused to help, saying I have to wait for a salesperson. I didn't need anyone to sell me anything. I already had a receipt for my purchase, I just needed someone to give me the phone. After 15 more minutes went by, I went back to the "manager", who moved behind the desk to continue not working. I explained that I bought the phone online to avoid this, I just needed to pickup the phone and that as the manager, he certainly had the ability to help me. He would not budge. Then a young woman came in. He immediately went over to her and had no problem helping her without requiring her to wait or sign in. In fact, he was happy to help her before 4 or 5 other customers who were waiting with me for up to a half hour. Expect 5 star service if the manager wants to hit it, 0 star service if you're anyone else. Sure, when you call in to corporate customer service, they suck, too. But at least you aren't put into a queue without regard for how much the representative wants to sleep with you. read more

I went to the store to get a new S7 phone because my S6 was lost. They didn't have any color scheme except for the black out of the 7 different colors. This is the second time I have gotten a phone here where they had no selection at all. They said they were sold out of all the others both times. This could be true but it was frustrating. More importantly, the service rep that helped me was such a DELIGHT! Let me explain. During the whole time he helped me, he had on a pair of BEATS headphones and was blasting some hip hop through them. When I asked him questions I routinely had to ask him 2-3 times because he couldn't hear me, even though we were right next to each other. He also spent the time singing along with his music and also took the time to do some online shopping for personal accessories on his tablet computer as I watched sitting next to him. I don't know how they run a store like this and survive--my assumption is that they have location, so customer service can go to pieces without true financial punishment.... read more

Visited this location yesterday to purchase a new iPhone and was extremely disappointed by my experience. The sales rep was highly impatient and ended up making multiple errors during set-up which resulted in it taking over two hours. Furthermore, he signed me up for a monthly insurance plan without ever even mentioning it or asking me if in fact I wanted to pay for this. I'm sure this happens to lots of unsuspecting customers who never realize and keeping paying for it. When I returned to the store the manager was apologetic but failed to offer anything substantial to make up for the frustration and inconvenience. read more

The wait time at this location can be obscene. All I really wanted to do was purchase an accessory and ask a question about my phone and still ended up being here for all eternity. Honestly, I thought the Galaxy 7 was going to be released before I left. Furthermore, the representative who finally assisted me with my phone was barely helpful and wasn't even clear about certain things, stating he'd have to ask his manager. Worst Service! I went in today to buy a case for my phone. A case. Not a new phone, not upgrade my phone, not anything crazy. A run of the mill case, I don't need to contemplate over the glitter pink or the hello kitty- Give me the black one! Someone at the door signed me in and I waited, and waited. Behind all the people buying new phones and signing new contracts. Fifteen minutes I waited. Show me the cases, I will show you my money and will be on my way. But alas- I ended up walking out because no one was willing to help me. I didnt even need help- But all the cases for my phone (a Samsung Galaxy 3) are kept behind the counter. Even the guy who it appears his only job is to stand by the door with an IPad and sign people in wasnt willing to take three minutes of his precious time to help me... Oh well... No case for me, and no good review for you Verizon. I did however get a case from AT & T across the street. This seems to be a whole new Verizon store. The whole experience was exactly the opposite of previous visits. The service was attentive and on point. From the very moment of entering the store. They even opened the door for me on the way in and out. They were able to get me exactly what I wanted. All my questions were answered. Ashley, the manager, and Sherice were awesome! It was the little touches that made their service excellent. Sherice even applied my newly bought screen cover to my upgraded phone. It was great! If things continue like this experience I will definitely be coming back and recommending this store to everyone I know. I hope this has been a permanent change for the better! Outstanding service!! So, I was in a bad mood after struggling for over a week with a recently purchased phone that was not working properly. The employees at the Verizon Wireless on Fleet Street were amazing and turned my day around!! Solutions Specialist Veronica was very patient and listened as I complained about the issues I was having with my current phone. She was very knowledgeable and gave options as to which phone would work better for me. After looking at few cases on the wall Veronica was nice enough to bring out a large selection of colorful cases from the back room for me to choose from. She was nothing but friendly and helpful. Solutions Specialist Christian was equally as wonderful. He was fast and efficient when setting up my new phone and transferring all of my contacts and applications. He even put on the case and screen protector for me so I wouldn't have any annoying bubbles. Solutions Manager Gimel took extra time to go through and set me up with the best plan for my budget, even when it got a little complicated. You can tell he really cares about his job and giving people the best deal. It is really hard to find someone who puts the costumer's interest first like that in sales these days. I really appreciate the amazing staff they have over at the Verizon Wireless on Fleet Street. Ask for Veronica, Christian or Gimel and they will definitely take care of you! read more

From 2016-2018 I was under a contract with Verizon for 100mb internet and cable. Pretty much from the outset I've had nothing but issues. I had constant drops in service, freezing on devices! I had complained several times during that contract. After several chats with Verizon techs, resetting the router, changing the router channels and what have you at their advisement, the issues still continued. Verizon finally said there was a problem with the router and offered to replace it. They stated after I received the router that there would be no issues. Needless to say after receiving the new router the problems persisted. So after my contract ran out and at the advice of a Verizon rep who thought that because of how many devices I own(9) I needed to up my speed. I agreed to a new contract, agreed to pay more a month in hopes I wouldn't have to deal with the daily, sometimes hourly router resets! Only even with the increased speed (10x what I had previous) I was shocked to see the problem still continued my first week, second day of this new contract. So ofcourse I resumed contacting Verizon. They refused to send a tech instead offering a plan to pay to have tech help. They also thought it might be a good idea to get a repeater but again I would have to pay for that. I let them know that having just agreed to a new contract spending more money was out of the question and that if they feel they have the solution they should just provide it due to me just having agreed to a 2 year contract and paying more a month for this service as is. Also it was their reps that got me believing with the higher speeds I'd have no issue. I'm basically getting the same service I was under the old contract of a 100mb. After several more talks with Verizon reps I agreed that they could send me another router because again another rep felt that was the problem. Wouldn't you know it the same problems still continue to persist! Actually worse than before! Sometimes like last night, it crashes or freezes when only 4-5 devices are in use. I have been more than accommodating, more than patient with Verizon, giving them every opportunity to make things right and yet they have failed me up to this point! I feel trapped in a contract that offers one thing but doesn't deliver and Verizon sees nothing wrong with that, just expects their monthly payment. I have several of the chat transcripts and video of my outages/freezes minutes after resetting the router documenting my accounts and interaction with verizon. My desired outcome is that either Verizon terminate the contract due to failure to provide and maintain adequate service for which I am paying or to send in my personal opinion(due to research and their advertising) the ORBI Tri band router which seems the likely solution. I have been a loyal customer for years and have been more than open to Verizon making things right to keep a loyal customer. That's why I hope that instead of terminating the contract they choose to send the router instead, it would amount to the same loss($350 to end contract, 300 for the ORBI router). Though in sending the router they keep a loyal customer and my monthly payment for two years! I am hoping they show good faith in action for a loyal customer, if they cant I would like the contract ended for I can't see paying for service that I can't use. Should they choose to send the router and God forbid issues continue, I would agree to no longer pursue any actions or requests. As of today I was contacted by someone in their executive relations team. After TRYING to fain sympathy he ultimately said the request for the ORBI router most likely would not be happening. He then said as far as letting me out of my contract that most likely nothing would be worked out there either, that I would have to most likely pay the termination fee! So disgusted with them! A $300 router that they know would most likely end my problems and have been promoting is to much to ask from a loyal customer who has paid thousands to them over the years!!!! Stay away read more

Don't waste your time in this store. There's a new face who is unwilling to help or answer questions every time I come in here. I have never once been greeted with a smile or a friendly face, just a look of boredom or as if I am bothering them. Why do I keep coming back and why should Verizon HQ take notice of this shop? Because they are located in a growing part of baltimore where plenty of young professionals work. Also, they are across the street from an AT&T and I'm not afraid to switch. My experience in the store was great when I needed to preorder my iPhone 6s and they wanted to take my money/sell me something. The representative promised that it would be to me by today (the day that is comes out) but, surprise...no iPhone came for me today. I called this location to find out what the process was for shipping. The lady on the phone advised me that until I get an email, the phone hasn't even shipped. (OK problem #1). I then said, can I cancel my order and just come in to get a phone? She responded "No, since I already preordered I cannot" (Problem #2). I asked her if she could pull up my information, she said no. (Problem # 3) I then asked her if they even have them in the store and she says "Due to privacy and confidentiality I cannot disclose that information." (OK, I'm sorry....I have NEVER heard of this before...let me just think about this, I am supposed to interrupt my day, leave work, come to the store, and then find out that it was a waste of time because you don't have what I am looking for....how does that make sense? How is this information private and confidential? I didn't realize we were talking about highly sensitive information and data) Instead of arguing with her, because obviously that wasn't going to go anywhere since they already have my money and its a big secret as to what they do and do not have in stock, I politely said ok, thank you for your help and hung up. The tone, her willingness to help, and her interest in customer service was TERRIBLE. I shouldn't have expected more from Verizon, especially one in Baltimore city, but I just thought maybe for once I would be surprised. Nov 19, 2013--Everyone in this store is infuriating. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted--a PHONE. Ashley was very helpful in trying to sell me a tablet, which she was incapable of operating. She had trouble turning it on, opening aps, demonstrating features--all of which is pointless since I needed A PHONE. She then informed me I would be losing my unlimited data because I was being forced to change plans. I have had this plan thru my last two phone changes. She was unable to give me reasoning behind this forced conversion. She, and other members of the team gave me very confusing and conflicting options to my new data restrictions. Eventually, two hours later, I was able to get the new phone in hand and left, without orientation to the features. Dec 10, 2013--The store manager, Chris Schaffer, calls to discuss the survey my husband filed. He asked about how the sale process went, and I relayed the information above. He didn't even address it. He kept peddling the "shared data plan" over and over. He was seemed absent and rude--kept interrupting me to push the shared data plan. I was repeatedly asking about why my data was cut for this month when the billing cycle wasn't complete. His responses were the same--Option 1.) "you should really think about the shared data" or Option 2.) "it's because of a feature change" I eventually was forced to continually get louder in order to talk over him. He told me the feature change caused them to pro-rate my data usage for the month. I asked him if that meant my bill would also be pro-rated. He informed me it would not, and was unable to see why I had a problem with this. He then recommended the shared data plan again. I informed him I was constrained with my data usage this month since it was pro-rated and much less than my new plan allows. This seemed to be very hard for him to understand as well. Eventually he offered to pay for any overages, which I informed him wouldn't be necessary since I was receiving many messages per day telling me how close I am to going over. I spent the month using other people's phones, dragging my laptop around, and being underprepared to answer questions. I attempted to explain my inability to change my plan month to month based on my usage, but was unable to get a word in edgewise. I also told him there would be no overages because he conveniently called the day the billing cycle changed. He took this opportunity to remind me how much the shared data plan would benefit me, as he was attempting to look up my usage for last month (which he was unsuccessful). The best part of this entire conversation? I HAVE THE SHARED DATA PLAN. I felt like he was just reading the same nonsense over and over from a script and not hearing a word I was saying. I wanted to change providers all together, but my husband was much more patient. I have no patience for ignorance and poor customer service, which is oozing from this establishment. read more

I have been to this location at least twice before and each time it's been the same thing. Someone at the door asks the reason for my visit, puts my name down on a waiting list for an attendant to help me, I wander through the shop on my own for 15 minutes and decide to leave. The customer service is ridiculously slow, I'm sure they miss out on business. I for one have been prepared to buy a phone there many times, and it seems I have to wait for God knows how long before anyone can even speak to me about the products. Utterly disgusted with the service I received here ! I walked in the store on a weekday at 6:10pm to purchase a new phone and a 2 yr contract. I already knew the phone I wanted. I was greeted by VERONICA and asked to wait for a representative. I was not waited on until 6:48pm. I waited to be serviced for over 30 mins !? The store was not busy and even the MANAGER GREGG bypassed me to assist another customer who came in after me. Finally, VERONICA ( the greeter), came to assist me and I was very pleased. UNTIL, I found out she did NOT know what she was doing: 1. She ran my credit it was approved. She made a mistake and ran it for two lines instead of one- and attempted to run my credit twice !!! I said absolutely not, and she then had to go ask another rep to help her. But she was just going to keep running my credit again and again. 2. She had trouble with the whole process of porting my phone number to a new phone. She again had to ask other reps to help. This resulted in me waiting for over 2 hours !!! I walked into the Verizon store at 6:10pm due to their lack of proper customer service and skills I did not leave until after the store CLOSED at 8:21pm. When I asked if they could throw in a complimentary case for my 2 hour wait time, VERONICA told me her manager GREGG said no "because i only waited for 35 mins". Meanwhile, when other customers who walked in with a complain who were older and of another race, he seemed to be overly accommodating. As for my request, i would have accepted a simple no. But, when Veronica said he said I only waited for 30 mins- THAT WAS A COMPLETE LIE. I WAITED FOR OVER 30 MINS TO BE SERVICED. AND THEN BECAUSE OF HIS EMPLOYEES INCOMPETENCE AND DISORGANIZATION I THEN WAITED 2 HOURS PLUS FOR A SIMPLE 15 MIN JOB. I did not expect this from a store in the harbor. I live in Canton and this is the closest VERIZON. I refuse to go back to this particular store. Horrible service. I've been to this Verizon location twice now trying to establish a business account and each time the manager and one staff member have been INCREDIBLY helpful -- in particular, one Sales Representative named Sherice. She brainstormed multiple solutions with me, thought outside of the box to solve my problems, and was gracious and pleasant! On my second trip the first representative I spoke with was a little lackluster, but Sherice's help made the whole experience a pleasure. 5 stars for her, 4 for the store overall. I would highly recommend these folks to other Verizon customers in Baltimore. read more

I have phone and Internet Service and by Far, Verizon is the worst company I have been with. I am literally giving it a 1 star rating because yelp will not let me go any lower. I have been dealing with them for 2 months and they will not assist me or allow me to speak with a supervisor to get my problems resolved for basic customer needs. If you can, please stay away from this company. Here is how it started. I needed service in my new place and I needed it ASAP for my job(June 19). I tried setting it up online and it would not let me. Now, being as naive as I was I called their customer service so I can get this set up as soon as possible Now, the first person I dealt with was very nice and tried to help me as best he could. But due to technical difficulties, he was unable to fully set up my service. He was to call me back once he was fully back up and online so we can complete my request for service. I never got the call back, I received the box(modem) though on June 22, 2017. So, on Monday, I called Verizon to let them know, that I have no service and I needed to get this resolved. The person on the line told me I was scheduled to have my service set up for July 20. I told the guy, that I needed the service ASAP. What am I going to do with a useless modem? He then lets me know that he can get someone out on June 27th to set up my box with internet. Well...on that day, someone did come out and set up my box. But, by the end of the day, my signal was so bad, I could not even get on my email. So, on July 28th, I called Verizon again and told them of my grievances. They sent someone out the same day to fix my box. After that...my service was totally normal. So, I being a current customer, I tried setting up my account online. Would you believe that it said that my phone number is not associated to any account in the system? I tried calling Verizon again to tell them about what happened. No one could help me. Then, I tried talking to a supervisor on July 5th , 24th, and 27th. I am still waiting for a supervisor from each call(to this day). On July 27th I finally had enough and I called again and demanded that I get a supervisor and I would not leave the phone without one. The supervisor then attempted to provide me with my account information but not explain my grievances from the first parts of this review. Fast forward to today. I get a nice bill of a whopping $259 emailed to me. I called Verizon immediately, and the lady begin to tell me that the bill is not real and to call back in 3 days when I get a bill. Then I tell her that I'm looking right at the bill. She then proceeds to try to explain my charges and tell me I am only being charged for phone for June and July and I was getting back charged in my August bill for it all. I tried explaining to her that I have a bundle pack and in no way, should I get charged for only one. Then she tried telling me that I have no bill again. Then, in frustration, I asked for a supervisor. She puts me on hold for 5 min, to come back and tell me that her supervisor showed her another way to see the bill. Then she tried to break it down, frustrating me even more. Then I demanded her supervisor. She puts me on hold for 2 more min, and then she finally tells me "My manager Brian is on the other line and will assist you further." She hangs up the phone, and my call with Verizon is disconnected....again. Now I'm on another 4 hr wait(as per Verizon's automated system). Please if you are able. Stay away from Verizon. They are a waste of your time, energy and have no customer service reps that care about their customers. I would grade this place a 0 if Yelp would let me. read more

For the second time, my fiancé and I went in with a few simple questions, and the salesperson Xavier did his best to ignore them and try to sell us crap we didn't want. He didn't even explain what "Edge" was before trying to shove it down our throats. Way too pushy, and even tried the old trick of making the customer feel like crap for not buying your add-ons. But the worst part is that Xavier messed with my finance's SIM card needlessly, and messed up our two lines!! Nykole, one of the store managers did not only take care of my problem but saved a customer for Verizon altogether. My daughter was having issues with her phone and after I explained the situation to Nicole she figured out a way that the issue could be resolved. Nicole could not have been nicer and more efficient. TERRIBLE customer service and the staff are RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I'll echo the other reviews here, and advise you to go to a different Verizon store even if it means driving out of your way. Management needs to clean up their act and actually train their staff. read more

Nykole and Sherice, solutions specialists, provided excellent customer service. I originally went to the store then left due to the line. When I returned a few hours later, Nykole recognized me and immediately started to help. Sherice stepped in to tag team the process. Both women were friendly, efficient, and patient.
