I have been a loyal Dish Network customer for over 11 years, but I am deeply disappointed with the way my account has been handled since my decision to cancel service. Due to continued price increases, I chose to terminate my service in November and called to cancel. The representative I spoke with assured me that my service would be discontinued and that I would receive a prepaid return box for the Hopper equipment. After this call, I logged into my account and made what I believed to be my final payment. However, unbeknownst to me, Dish Network reinstated my service without my authorization and continued to bill me. Since I had already moved on to streaming services and was no longer using Dish, I had no reason to suspect that I was still being charged. When the return box never arrived, I called customer service again, only to discover that my account had been reactivated. I was then wrongfully informed that I had agreed to renew my contract, and when I disputed this, the representative placed me on hold to check with another department. Upon returning, I was told there was no evidence of my authorization for renewal--which confirms that my account should have been canceled as initially requested. To add insult to injury, despite finally being able to return the equipment, Dish Network has added a non-return equipment charge to my account. I am now being forced to pay for two months of unwanted service and an unjustified fee, making this situation feel like outright extortion. Consumers be very careful read more

I have dish and it's the worst tv I have ever had first the equipment doesn't work half the time so when you call and see about getting some one out too fix it they want too charge you alot then my bill said on my dish app 126.00 so I payed the 126.00 just too check my bill a few days later for it too say 184.00 so I called them and the service people was trying too say that I was lieing about the bill that it was 144.00 now if the bill was 144.00 Don't you think that I would have just payed the 144 instead of the 126 yes I would have but they keep going saying that I had alate fee and all kinds of other stuff you can't talk too them they will do nothing for you and call you a lier no matter if your right or not they are one of the worst companies too deal with I will be switching too some one eles if I was you look for a better company then dish tv read more

My cable billed doubled, so I called Dish customer service to cancel my service and was told would be charged a $400 early termination fee. When I told them that I was with them for 3 years, was told that a new contract began about 6 months ago. I knew nothing of a new contract and was never infomed or agreed to such. The rep was very evasive and would not give me details of how and when I agreed to a new contract that was doubled from the previous amount. He just said that my name was associated to the contract, which means absolutely nothing. So I was stuck with the "new contract" but was able to get the priced reduced by $20/month. After the call, I seached online and found the following, "After 2 years, the then-current regular monthly price will apply to all services." I would give them zero if I could. I have been a customer since 1998 when there was such a thing as customer service but now no more. I have been trying to cancel my service for months. I call Dish and tell the person that the service has not worked since the Spring of 2024. I am told that they do not have the power to cancel my subscription and am transferred to a phone number that no one answers. They are still charging my credit card even though I called Discover and told them to not accept the charges. Total fraud and stay away from this company. read more

So excited to finally CUT Comcast out for my TV service !!! When I started with them my bill was around $69.00; as of today my last bill with them was $255.00 with no big package. After being with them for 20+ years with no dedication to loyal longtime customers I'm done!! I called Comcast and tried to get them to adjust my bill and they were going to take off $10.00; I told them I have a offer for $79.99 for new customers and they weren't willing to adjust my bill. I'm tired of having to babysit my bill every month and calling them because of the price hikes! It's a monopoly...... I called DirectTV and received all the information; then calling Dish TV, I decided to go with Dish. I was so nervous about switching to totally different system and when I read the reviews and seen they were rated #1 I took the leap to give Dish a try and I picked the America's Top 350 package the best package costing us about $100 bucks; I added on a few things today so it maybe a few more bucks. Today a awesome Gentleman named Kepler came and spent hours hooking us up; showing me everything he was doing along the way! When he finally hooked up the tv's the picture was amazing and very sharp! Kepler showed me all the details I need to know to work the TV and the remotes that are voice control! So far I'm so very happy with the entire satellite Dish TV. They sold me something they knew wouldn't work for me told them I had ADT and we never used over 10 g on or phones but never told me how I would pay for overages with only been in the plan 2 week we used all called tech service told them this was wrong we are not on that much they came out calibrated the system and never once said it was ADT doing it went to next month called again they came out. Looked tech said it was ADT doing it had to go back to Comcast when called to cancel system I was told I had a 2 yr contract and would pay for something I was not using told me deal with it or pay the shut off price of 2400 for that part of contract I will never use them again read more

I was a customer with Dish network for 6 years and upgraded to HD service. I had to temporarily move for work and wanted to stop service because I had received another faulty box. They weren't interested in keeping me as a customer and only wanted their early cancellation fee. The customer service reps have horrible attitudes and talk over you. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET ROBBED, never use dish network. They will have all those hidden fees to your guaranteed price. So my price was $58 but after a year it went to $70 even though my price was fixed for 2 years. Then after two years I decided to cancel my service for which I had to call them. I cancelled and they do have feature to reactivate the service by remote which sucks. To cancel their service you need to call them but to reactivate you can do with a single touch of button. ( this is their clearly robbing technique). And I was waiting for the returning boxes, but I didn't received. Then I called them all surprised but they said it got reactivate. Then I again cancelled the service. And I check my account, they charged $105 but will credit back $32. Still they charged me $70 for 15 days. Honestly never trust them even their customer service is worst. If you are their customer they talk nice but once you left their service then you will see their real customer service. They are the worst.....I just spent a half hour on the phone with someone trying to set up an install for my move then once I give them my social, d.o.b., and debit card I'm forwarded to direct tv. The agent from direct TV tells me that I have good credit and would be a premium customer. However, my fiancée had already called direct TV and found that they don't service the area that we're moving to. I ask the agent why I was forwarded to him and why wasn't I told I was being forwarded to another company. He couldn't provide me any information other than a dumb "I don't know". So, now I've given up my social security number, d.o.b., and debit card to someone I am not even doing business with. Please do not waste your time, or give your vital information to these people. read more

My gym has service through Dish Network. I like watching TV's and getting updated news while running on treadmill. Reception during January has been horrible. When asked management, indicated they have been trying to Dish Network to fix situation. Screens have been rolling, 'snow' has been across screen and looks like grainy photo. Today, during last 20 minutes of my run, reception went off twice, requiring reset. Love that Dish indicates quality of their service that repeatedly needs to be 'reset'. Horrible company to do service with. When ordering my service I was told I would have HD for 2 tv's. Guess what I didn't. Oh yea the big thing they put outside says HD but my picture sucks. So I called and was informed I have to pay $250 for an HD receiver! Out of the kindness of their heart they reduced that to 165. That bs if you ask me, had I been informed this from the start I would not of got their serivces. Now I'm stuck in a contract for 2 years with no HD because I refuse to pay that amount. Do not get dish they suck you in with low rates lie to you when ordering your services and the stick it to you to get a decent picture on your tv. I even hooked up and old Antena to my tv and get a better piture. IF YOUR THINKING ABOUT IT DON'T DO IT! I only selected 1 star because I had to, personally they get ZERO stars. read more

Honestly can't complain too much about DISH's service. Overall it was adequate for my needs. However, when I chose to cancel my service to save some cash, they decided to charge me a $16 equipment return fee. How ridiculously petty is that. For years I paid an equipment rental fee but now that gravy train is over this is how you respond. It's nickel and dime practices like this that turn customers off. Hope you enjoy the $16 DISH. I am very disappointed with DISH network. I really feel I was decieved and find it hard to believe that such a large company behaves in such a manner. When I ordered dish network for my in-laws I was told you have the a number of Korean channels including KBS world. My In-Laws are both elderly and sick and one of the few joys they have left is watching Korean TV. I was told by the DISH installer when I noticed that channels did not seem to be present that they would probably come online and regardless we had 30 days to cancel. When I called DISH network today I was informed there is no 30-day trial period. To train a DISH installer to lie like that is really unbelievable. The tablet I signed was really not legible and I certainly to not feel bound by the contract given the deceptive behavior. I really feel that this type of behavior is unacceptable for a company that is supposedly focused on customer service. This happened in San Diego but it is the same across the nation. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I had chronic problems from the time I installed their service. Tried to get it disconnected right after I had it installed in Chester, MD. The service never worked properly. They told me I had a two year contract (which I was never informed of) and would have to at about a $400 early termination fee. I lived with it for about a year, but when I moved I chose Verizon FiOS over moving the poor quality DISH service. They took money out of my checking account without my permission multiple times and now I can't seem to get boxes to return their hardware. I expect to be billed again for the hardware. Some of their representatives are helpful, but none of their manager display any compassion of flexibility. DON'T DO DISH ! read more
