In a case of fraud and theft, an employee of that store switched my wife's phone number to another phone and my wife's phone was inoperable for an entire day. Someone walked out of that store with a brand new iPhone 16 Pro Max. I was eventually able to rectify the situation, but not until the next day because Verizon has regular business hours for their Customer Service, so if you have a problem with theft and fraud you cannot address it until the next business day. Three days later, an attempt was made to transfer that phone number AGAIN, from this same store! By this time I had a number lock on the phone, but she again got the request text for making the switch. I doubt this is the only instance of this happening at this store, but there is no way to directly contact the store. You get routed to Verizon Customer Service Call Center who cannot contact the store either. The ease of which people can access, switch and steal service with Verizon is astounding to me, especially at this store. I encourage everyone to put a number lock on your account so no action can take place without the primary account holder's notification. read more

The phone problem had nothing to do with Verizon but your sales rep Brian spent a lot of time with my dad to work out the phone issues. He was very patient and explained the fixes to my dad. He was so patient and kind with him and did not make him feel stupid like others have. Please make sure Brian knows how much our family appreciated his time and kindness. What the hell Verizon. I just left your showroom very frustrated. I went in to trade in a cell phone and get a new iPhone 14 also do paperless billing and automatic checking I can't withdraw. The salesman cannot sell me a phone because I needed my iPad to be with me which I no longer have. He said if I find the iPad bring it in and he will set up my new account and give me my new phone. He also said he would have to charge me $40 to access my iPad to get a code. On top of the $39 activation fee. I was shocked to see a 2 1/2 review for this Verizon location. I have found that the employees in this specific store are very knowledgeable, very helpful, and very friendly, and they have boxedwater to help save the environment. It's also nice to see they have armed security, it does help you feel safer in these terrible violent times where you can't go to a movie without worrying. This is by far the worst customer service I believe I have had if you can call no customer service actually service. Been a customer of Verizon for almost 20 years now, and have never been treated like this before. Went to this store as the one closest to me is being remodeled. I sure hope it is not going to be like this one! I walked in and: 1) had a difficult time telling the employees from the general public...I think there might have been 2 (on a Saturday). 2) noticed the security guard right away positioned near the door ignoring all things going on around him other than the conversation with what could have been a customer or an employee (see point #1). He never saw me enter. I could have easily disarmed him. If he was my employee, I would have fired him on the spot. 3) walked around the store only to be completely ignored by everyone (security did not even turn away from his conversation) as I had no idea where to go to get service or what to do. There was no way to know who to talk to. There is no directions posted as to how to chat with an employee. 4) Left the store feeling invisible and unappreciated as a customer. If I cannot just walk in and talk to a service representative, I will need to find another cell phone service provider. I hope the store nearest me will not end up like this. Of course, without being able to talk to someone (my store closed and the garbage at this store, I might not have to worry about it any more. read more

I'm not a religious person, but I do believe that there is a special place in Hell reserved for this Verizon Wireless location. In fact, I would rather spend $4 million elsewhere than spend $4 more dollars at this poo junket of an excuse for a store. As helpful as the 8 employees attempting assistance may seem, they can't help you at all. 1 out of 8 employees are familiar with Blackberries and that one person is never there, mythological as far as I'm concerned. Today my phone went kaput right out of the blue and had an error message telling me to return my phone to its place of purchase. I brought it back to this P.O.S. location in hopes that *maybe* they could help me, even though they never have before. To my non-surprise, they were no help at all- picture me, nonplussed. The tech man took a look at my phone and told me I'd need a new phone (even though my phone was not even 7 months old). The store told me that I needed to drive 8 miles away (32 minutes with summer traffic) to pick up a new phone and repurchase my accessories because their store doesn't carry that phone anymore (even though it's on display in their store and featured in 3 of their large in-store print ads) and things such as "screen protectors are not undeer warranty and are not their policy to replace, just like brake pads on a car aren't under warranty". Really? Is it your policy to sell defective f*cking phones? Because you certainly do that well. Any way, the tech man was not helpful at all and when I inquired into getting better directions to their Romeoville location (something besides just saying 5 minutes up the road- which ends up being 35 minutes), it took the stores tech person 10 minutes to look up the address of the other location. Now, how sh*tty of a company are you dealing with when it takes the tech guy 10 minutes to type in "Google" and find the address up one of their locations. FUBAR, my friends. Fubar. Anyway, I ended up going to the much better and farther Romeoville location to find out that all Bolingbrook had to do was plug my phone into their computer and it would reset. Instead, they lazed off and had me drive 35 minutes away so I could deal with competent people. The only thing keeping this place from one star is that I had already had a bad luck day with a pretty traumatic nail break and an unfortunate shoe purchase, so I'm *trying* not to overreact but this place is really testing my mutha f*cking patience. read more

Tried to buy a new phone twice in the same day, both times I left frustrated without a phone. I rarely write one start reviews, but today I need to let the internets know about my experience. I know exactly what I need, a new iPhone and contacts synced, that's it... I even have the color picked out. I essentially need someone to go in the back, get the phone and ring me up. 10:05 a.m., 5 minutes after opening, there was a 20 minute wait to get help. FAIL. I had to leave to get other things done. 1 p.m. during my lunch break I tried again. This time I got help right off the bat, but the ONLY sync machine was being used. It had a wait time of 40 minutes because someone was syncing more than 5,000 photos to a phone. Again, I had to leave without a new phone. FAIL But here's the weird part that prompted this review. I told the guy this was bad as I tired to come in earlier and had to leave and didn't he remember me. He said no, that he wasn't there in the morning and it was the other BROWN guy who helped me. I frankly didn't know what to say as I was taken a back with such an off the wall comment about his skin color. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. In the end, Verizon and Apple still get my money. I have been a subscriber of Verizon Wireless for the last 8 years and have used this location as long as I can remember. Never before have I felt more disrespected than I did today at this Verizon Wireless store. I went in to have them transfer my mom's photos from her old iPhone 4S to her new iPhone 6, that's all I wanted them to do. I was quickly dismissed saying they could only transfer photos if there were less than 100 on the phone otherwise they were not capable of transferring them in store. Fun because my father went in earlier the same day to have them do the exact same thing with over 500 photos on his iPhone 4S and they had no problem completing the task. I understand I could do this with my laptop but the fact is that I went there to have them do it and the associate was too lazy to actually do his job. This has or had been our Verizon store since opening but when I was in the store the store manager was unwilling to help me and was too busy visiting with store employees to take time to help. My guess her first management role and just does not have a clue how to run a business. There are plenty of other Verizon stores and will not go here again. Good luck if you go there. read more

I was very impressed with the customer service, especially from Jorge Acosta, who helped me tremendously when I had lost my phone. He was very helpful and did all he could to help me get a new phone and was extremely nice and friendly. I would suggest going to Jorge next time you visit Verizon in Bolingbrook as he will go above and beyond to help. He made my day that day. My hubby and I came in here today because his phone was completely fried and he needed a new phone but I took his last upgrade when my iPhone was toast and needed more memory so he wasn't due for his our next upgrade until summer and he needs his phone for work. Upon him going in alone and then coming back home to call customer service and got absolutely no where. I then went in with him! The girl that was originally helping him was there and had no personality! But we had Jeremy come out and help us and with his managers approval we made it all happen! We got the spend $300 in accessories so he basically got all that for free so we were very happy with Jeremy's help and expertise. Later he had Yolanda who is also very efficient and helpful come and finish all the paperwork and such. She is also very helpful and good with what she does! Yolanda helped me in the last as well with other purchases. Thanks Verizon for helping us out again and noticing that we are loyal Verizon brand ambassadors! read more

Service in the area around this store is good. But I don't think it's worth the extrA high cost verses others. I wish these guys had pricing for people who bring their own phone. Their website does not offer many options to make appointments. Instead, I walked in and was added to the wait list. There were three people ahead of me with only two people working, one of which was only checking people in and playing on his iPhone. When it finally came to be my turn my account was opened. I was given false information of my current plan and when I asked how much it'd be to upgrade to the edge plan, the man continued to beat around the bush, trying to talk me into more expensive things that I didn't ask for. When speaking with my counterpart at home he said he had no access to our account because an "upgrade was in process". I did not begin the upgrade process and the man was downright rude. I walked out and took my business to the Verizon in New Lenox. It was a drive for me but worth it. I do not recommend doing business with the Verizon of Bolingbrook. read more

I needed to purchase a new IPhone & Danny helped me purchase the one I needed plus he made sure my new phone had all my apps, my photos, my music, & my programs transferred over before I left the store. I don't know why anyone would purchase their I phone from an Apple Store when Verizon takes care of you better. Danny Vargas was the best. He is normally from the Oswego store, but luckily for me, he was helping out in the Bolingbrook store!! read more

Save your money, save your time, STAY AWAY!!! Unbelievably terrible service. I lost my phone. My husband called to ask if there was a way to locate it. They said there was no way. It is an android, it is connected to Google. I could have found it. They just wanted more money. I got a new phone, paid for the screen protector and such all over again. They put the screen protector on wrong. The idiot lady who put it on even said that it would fail within a week, but to come back and she would replace it for free. I didn't have time to sit and argue with her, I had already been at the store for over 2 hours waiting in line simply for a screen protector, I left. Sure enough, within a week the screen protector (it was tempered glass) broke because of the poor installation. I go back to have them replace it (as she told me to) and they won't honor that. I bought my Note 4 from this location in March 2015. I haven't had any issues whatsoever with the phone. A month ago when I updated to Marshamallow, I noticed my battery was draining FAST. I mean to the point this week, I had to charge its several times a day. If I left my phone at 100% overnight, it would be at 40% the next morning without me touching it. Frustrated that I might need a new phone, I stopped in the store to see if I would need a new battery. I am eligible to upgrade to a new phone but I love my phone so much that I don't want to part with it just yet. One of the managers took my info down, waited a few minutes and then I was helped by Will. I explained to him my issue, checked my battery, which was still good. He checked some other settings, adjusted one setting and poof my battery went up to 91%. It was at 64% when I went to the store. He explained that with these updates, the phone defaults to a Global setting so it was probably searching for a signal since our phones are designed to be used Globally. I just checked my battery setting and according to it, I have 7 hours left of use instead of the 1hr 5 min I saw when it was fully charged this morning. This is my go-to Verizon store even though I live closer to another one. The reason I go here are because of the team that works here. Always friendly, professional and helpful! Very poor customer service at this location. My brand new line and phone did not properly activate. Effectively making the current phone useless, or so I was told... (Turns out the 1-800 number was able to fix, but store wanted to sell bigger phone) Store manager said I need to return and purchase a more expensive phone. I said I don't want to do that. I'll come back in a few weeks when you have more inventory, but for now I just want to cancel the order since there is nothing the manager can do. She insisted I pay a restocking fee and there's nothing she can do. Her system failed to activate the line properly and I have to pay a restocking fee because I don't want to buy a more expensive phone! Avoid this location! The manager is ready and willing to rip you off! read more
