I made the mistake of walking in to this repair store off the street. We were looking for a simple…read morescreen replacement of an iPhone 6. The price quoted seemed reasonable and they offered to do it while we waited. After 30 minutes the phone was ready and the results seemed good enough for us. The next day we began to notice some serious battery drain issues with the phone, literally going from 100% to empty in a few hours. This was a surprise given there were no battery issues in prior use but my first thought was it just takes some time for the battery to adjust to the new screen. Three days later and the battery has not gotten better so we spoke with the store both in person and over the phone. The response was the battery is past useful life and they could replace it for a discounted price. I'm no electrical engineer but a battery's useful life doesn't just happen to end overnight - conveniently when someone opens it up and pokes around. This store is definitely some kind of sketchy telling me it is just an old battery. I reiterate that there were no issues with battery life until literally the day after they did their "quality" repair. Didn't offer a refund or any sort of help so I won't be going back or giving any praise. Maybe I'm wrong but I haven't seen a convincing argument proving their theory and most of what I read online says when a 3rd party does a repair and battery issues are seen the likely cause is a short or faulty wiring. Hopefully our loss can provide some help for others.

Having had a cell phone since 97 or 98, usually having two numbers and two phones,& having bought many phones, I can honestly say that prior to last week, I never had a good time in a phone store. More often than not, the experience is mildly or seriously annoying. After 17 or 18 years with Sprint, and after destroying my last flip phone, I began to look for a new flip phone(all i want). Sprint managed to lose my business, and the other carriers all had flip phones and plans for far less money than Sprint. I was about to go with Verizon. I had already been to one AT & T store, on Kings Highway, and the deal did not impress me, and i could not see the phone out of the box. But i was walking down 7 th ave one day, passed a big A T & T store on the North side f the street, and a couple blocks later, noticed this tiny shotgun A T & T store as i passing it on the South side of 7th Ave. I said what the hell, might as well go in. The store was busy. Two staffers, and about 5 customers. Johnny, the young sales guy pleasantly asked me if he could help me. I asked him what flip phones he had. He went to the back, came back with a box, took out a phone,handed it to me. I asked him what the price of the phone and the monthly plan for my requirements was. Again, pleasantly, He answered me. No qualifying questions, no closes, no b.s. Their opening expense was 60 bucks less than the AT & T store on Kings Highway. Same phone. Of course the plan price was the same. He did ask if i'd be transferring a #. I said yes, and he said he'd need my account # & passcode. I replied that I did like the phone and the deal, i would come back cause I had that info at home. Johnny let me go, no pressure to get a deal on paper & leave a deposit, nothing... The first chance i had a few days later, i returned. But it was more like going to the neighborhood bar than to a phone store. Johnny was busy, Ari, the owner took caare of me, & he is as laid back, conversational & friendly as can be. A neighborhood woman, old customer was hanging out, talking about getting a new phone, but hanging out. Turned out we had other cities in common, and we had a twenty minute conversation, Ari, participated too, while he was getting me set up and dealing with the # transfer. Another couple was buying a phone, and another neighborhood woman, also a customer, stopped in to charge her phone rather than go all the way home to do it. We all had fun conversations & really, it was just a neighborhood hang and people got phones at the same time. I don't live in the neighborhood, but what I got from this transaction and interaction is that Ari is a valued member of the community, and his phone store is an asset in the neighborhood.

I rate this Court Street Branch of u BreakiFix "VBAS" for VERY BAD ATTITUDE and Service…read more So I dropped my phone and my screen cracked into such a rainbow of colors it made the Pride Flag look like an old black & white TV. I've been going to this uBiFix here since at least 2019 bc it's in my hood and they were always solid - but I guess new crew new attitude - ah how we long for the good old days. Anyways I've had shorter waits in Doctor Offices. The waiting area looked like a subway platform at rush hour - and by that I mean - a few lucky peeps had seats and the rest of us stood around waiting....and waiting... Anyways my tech Andrew informed me a new Apple Screen would be $250 or $300 I cant remember which now, but that an after market would be $200. So being that the phone is a couple of years old I went with the after market. They took it in, fixed it and I was out. Next day - even though it sat on my desk or in my pocket - another rainbow appeared. So I went back I showed it to Andrew and said, "Its covered under the warranty right? Its only one day" He said, "Well if it's not your fault" I showed him the spotless screen. I was like "Dude forget about no cracks or no scratches -there's not even a speck of dust on the screen." "Well lets see." He goes in and comes out after too long a time to tell me, "Yeah we're gonna do you a favor and fix it." "Do me a favor?" I'm thinking - because Techs are like car mechanics or Doctors - you can't express how you really feel if you're still gonna put your whatever in their hands. Lets get real - Business don't survive by doing favors. It was 2 days into warranty - and whether it was a defective screen or incompetence - that's why you're gonna do it. Anyways I was never given a reason why it failed. So I get it back fixed and a few days later, its in my shirt pocket, I'm standing leaning over my desk and my phone - that's in a sturdy case - falls about 2 feet onto my desk and like that old Rolling Stones song "SHE COMES IN COLORS EVERYWHERE - SHE'S LIKE A RAINBOW!" Needless to say I got my answer the hard way - if their aftermarket screen cracks from 2 foot fall to a desk - it's prolly not even defective but just cheap crap. I mean 2 screens fail that easy - time to source a new provider boys! I had no time to go back to their circus as I had to fly - besides slap me once shame on you, but slap me twice... Anyways when I got to Louisville Kentucky there was a shop on Bardstown Rd & Eastern Parkway - polite, friendly no attitude.
