Tyshawn Brown made this the best experience I've ever had at a Verizon store. After a not great experience at another store, I ended up in Dedham at this location. Tyshawn was kind, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. He walked through all of the upgrade options with me and actually physically helped me transfer everything over from my old phone to my new phone. I came into the store on a weeknight to help with setting up my son's Gizmo watch and Assistant Manager Josh H. immediately logged me in and started syncing up the watch / phone to my phone. Over a half hour later and a call to customer service the device was set up and I walked out one very happy customer. Although I have a store down the street from where I live this is my go to store for any type of help. Unlike Josh who didn't hesitate to help the store personal near me regardless of the request or amount of people waiting to be helped love to say " You can call customer service for that problem." Listening to Josh explain the problem to the person on the other end of the line, no sometimes you can't just call customer service, especially when you have no clue what they are asking you. read more

Horrible customer service. I called the store regarding an order for pickup and was yelled by the manager. He basically said that the order has not been processed (even though it was placed at 10am) because there was an error in the order. Yet, he refused to tell me the error or help me in any way. I love this store the Manager Dan is awesome and a great guy and Pat is so helpful when it comes to the affordable connectivity discount too. She educated me on how to apply it to my bill I love these employees. I really enjoy going to this store because I know I will get the best care. Not sure why everyone is hating on this Verizon store. The employees here are awesome and I think they are all super great. How are customers to know that appointments are needed when there was no sign on window? The first first employee was with a customer. She was not very pleasant, but reluctantly said I could wait. When second employee's customer left, this employee did not even look in my direction so I walked over to his desk,and still no eye contact. The whole time I was there, he was involved with his own phone. His workday was about to end perhaps and he was checking his watch constantly. He did take a minute to clean the port on my phone and attempt to charge it. He was then not the least bit interested when I asked about purchasing a new phone. This store has the laziest employees ever!!!! I walk in on a Tuesday morning and need help setting up my new phone which was purchased through Verizon. There are literally four employees standing around doing absolutely nothing and this employee who was not busy at all, tells me that I have to go to the Apple store to set up my phone. Why can't Verizon do this? I bought the phone from Verizon and I pay over 240 dollars a month for two phone lines from Verizon and you're going to make me go to Apple because your lazy ass doesn't want to do it? I'm not happy. I saw an offer on vzw website, buy 1 phone get $800 off second phone when you add a new line, and I get $650 for my trade in, Galaxy S10 plus 5G, 512 gb. So my mom and I go Verzion store in Dedham. There was Mike, "the sales person". So I told him about the offer I saw and after checking all the info on my account he said he can actually give me a better deal, which is $1000 off the second phone and $750 for my trade in. We accepted the offer, signed all the documents on his tablet, paid sales tax for both phones and the deal was done. He said we will get 2 new phones within the next couple of days.  We receive 1st phone within the next 2 days and confused why we didn't receive both phones. We go back to Verizon and Mike says everything is fine, you should receive the second one soon, he activates the 1st phone and we leave.  We waited for the 2nd phone for a few more days but never received it.  We go back to Verizon and this is where it gets interesting... So 3rd time at the store, and Mike calls his manager Leah because he needed her help for some reason. Now, here's what they are telling us.. Unfortunately, you should've received an email with the confirmation and it looks like you didn't confirm your purchase and your deal is gone! We are not getting the second phone and we can't get this deal again because it expired. Now they are offering us $440 for my trade in. I said I was getting $750 last week and now I'm only getting $440 because I didn't confirm my email?! They asked me who was giving me $750 for my phone, I said Mike was and Leah asked Mike infront of me if it's true and he lied looking in my eyes, and said he never gave me $750 for my trade in! What a manly man... So, they never told us we should receive an email with confirmation, instead they told us we are all set, just wait for the phones. We don't even check emails everyday, at least they should've told us that in advance. So everything was canceled, and instead of understanding they messed up on their end by not letting us know about the email, they decided to put all the blame on us! What a customer service... mike is a lier with an attitude of a clown and they are both so unprofessional. Instead of apologizing and trying to make it up, they decided to show their nasty attitude.  Being with Verizon for over 20 years, this is how I'm being served.  I would definitely suggest everyone to go to a different store, unless you want this kind of mess. read more

Not really sure where to begin. I am a customer of Verizon wireless, and have been for around 18 years. My most recent phone was an iPhone 6. I had it for 2 years, it was all paid off by way of the Verizon edge plan. I went into this store to discuss lowering my bill, I ended up upgrading my phone to a Samsung galaxy s8+. I was aware of a promotion for trading in your old phone toward the purchase of your upgrade which lowered the monthly payment of the phone from $35 down to $15. For what ever reason, the salesman informed me that deal only applied to a new unlimited plan and would cancel a company discount I have through my employer. We decided that wasn't worth losing the discount so we agreed to stay with our old plan and stil upgrade to the s8. The trade in value of the old iPhone 6 was said to be $140. I was then told that the credit for the trade in would only cover the out of pocket expense for the purchase of the new phone (tax fees etc). we proceeded. The salesman also said "you also get a car charger, a case, a wireless charger and a glass screen protector". This is very important. The way he phrased it, "you also get..." led me to believe these accessories were part of some other promotion going on. I have also known people to get bundle accessories as promotions, or so I though. And I imagine they thought. It turns out that the trade in of the phone covered the cost of the accessories, not the taxes and fees he specifically mentioned it covered. At no point in the whole process did he ask if I WANTED accessories nor did he say or imply in any way I was actually paying for these accessories. Now I realize nothing in life is free, but as I said he led me to believe it was some sort of promotion by way of never even asking if I wanted the accessories. When it came time to check out and finish up is still ended up paying cash out of pocket to pay the taxes and fees he specifically said were covered by the trade in phone. After an hour waiting to be seen and then the 30 + minutes doing the deal. This all sort of just got rushed by me as I just wanted to leave at this point. After it sinking in I spoke to customer service and basically my only option was to return all the accessories and get the original credit applied to my phone bill. There is no option to get the old phone back and reactivate it. I was told that phone is gone. I ended up cancelling the phone line all together and converted it into a prepaid with the intention of leaving Verizon all together when our 2 other lines are eligible to cancel. Bottom line is I went from a perfectly good iPhone 6 to a prepaid decade old phone. After speaking with my parents, who are also Verizon customers and senior citizens, I found they did the exact same to her, worse actually. She got the same sales pitch, "you also get..." except with her they included a jetpack mobile hot spot. At no time what so ever did they tell her the jet pack requires a subscription of $10 a month. She did not realize it until her first bill with the device and by that time it was too late to make returns. At the very least this is a very misleading if not fraudulent sales practice. Any info or help or just exposure to this practice would be fantastic. I can not get over feeling lied to. As I returned my equipment today I purposely listened to sales as I waited and saw it happening repeatedly to other customers in the exact same way. No mention of paying for the accessories or even asking if they are wanted, just the same "you also get this this and this..". I cant get over the feeling that this practice is essentially a way for them to steal the trade in credits and pad sales persons commissions. As I said, they NEVER mention that the credit is covering the costs of the accessories. I cant stress enough the fact that they lead you to believe its some sort of promotional deal and they never ask if you WANT the products read more

Absolutely professional! I bought iPhone there with 2 years subscription. Even I'm a legal alien here in US and sometimes I had difficulties because I'm non-US citizen, they proceeded the transaction smoothly. The sales lady (her name is Kim) was really kind, helpful and professional. She installed case and screen protector foil, she copied my contacts from my Android phone and helped to setup a Verizon online account. Update: I returned my iPhone and also a 4G MiFI device within the 14 days trial period because there is no coverage in my apartment. The service was again kind and professional. The only problem was that there was some mess regarding the date of return and Verizon tried to charge me for "early cancelling", I called the customer service and they corrected it. read more

Like Ivan I., our new twin iPhone 4 S's did not work in our apartment! I came to Verizon in Dedham to see how they might be able to help me out. I have been a Verizon customer from years and they really did not seem interested in trying to keep me or my three cell phone lines. I know that they offer a signal extender that would solve my problems but they told me that it would cost an additional $200+ to get that. I chose to pay $70 in restocking fees instead. Internet service that's so slow you can't stream a song on Spotify, customer service with representatives that care so little that they literally told me to F off, and outages every few days. Two days ago (6/19/14) my phone (Galaxy S4) wouldn't turn on and I couldn't get the back off to take out the battery. Like most people today I am lost wothout my phone so, at 9:00 I raced to the Dedham Verizon. At 9:05, even though the doors were locked for the evening (with a couple of customers inside finishing their transactions), one of the employees helped me with my phone! It didn't take him more than 3 minutes but I am so thankful for his help. No one likes "that customer" that walks in just before closing and definitely not the one that walks in after the doors are locked! I was shamefully one of those customers the other day and instead of telling me to come back tomorrow during business hours (which would have been totally reasonable) this employee helped me out. I don't know your name but thank you so much! I will definitely come back to this location for any of my Verizon needs in the future. read more

I need an upgrade on one of my devices. They foul up the switch and go on billing me for both the old and new device. The guy at the store at the time of the switch said it was my responsibility and had to call an 800# to finalize things. How convenient for him and Verizon. How annoying. The account is in my name so I have to call and he's off the hook apparently. Why not just do it for me while I'm standing there and can confirm everything? Oh no! Too much work. Naturally 800# cust svc doesn't do what I specified. I notice later the billing discrepancy. Only I took too long and they can only credit me going back 3 months. After all..."WE DO send you a bill!"...Amazing! They also have this snooty thing where they piss you off, steal your money, but as soon as you start busting their chops for sloppy business practices i.e. incompetence and dishonesty they get all hoity-toity and either walk away or hang up. So remember to be all nicey-nice and not raise your voice or show your contempt....AT A BUNCH OF CROOKS! No I don't wish to remain 'cordial' thank you. Deal with it! Also when they say you have "Unlimited' data they lie. You will get endless messages with a week to go in your billing cycle that you've exceeded your "Unlimited" plan! Richie made my experience at Verizon the easiest and most pleasant one I've had thus far being a Verizon carrier. I upgraded my iPhone 6 to an iPhone 7 Plus. He was very friendly, honest and caring. Right off the bat he asked if I worked for a company that had a Verizon discount. I wasn't sure, so he checked for me and luckily I did. (Which by the way, for the 10+ years I've been a carrier, not a single other employee had asked me this) Richie also went over my options and helped me find the best option for myself. I am very pleased with my new phone and all my new gadgets that came with this deal! 10/10 would recommend to go see him! read more

Customer service was AWFUL! I arrived after store closed (4pm and no updated hours posted on the door). Clerks inside were taking to me through the door explaining they closed early (Wed before Thanksgiving) for Black Friday. What?? Store was lit like a Christmas tree and totally looked open. After some conversation one of the guys jumped up, grabbed the security gate and slammed it to the floor (basically in my face), turned and walked away. No apologies, no indication about when they would re-open, etc. I think you get the point. I have been a Verizon customer for many, many years and I am dismayed at the treatment I received, especially at Thanksgiving when we should all be grateful for what we have, friends and family. This is the second time I have left this store after a 30-45 minute wait at an off peak hour. It needn't be that way. One staff person appears to think (or, worse, has been told) that his only job is to track waiting customers on his tablet. Another appears to think that his only job is to talk to the person with the tablet. If these individuals engaged in helping customers, the waits would be shorter. When I told the person with the tablet that I was leaving and to take me off his list, I got an "Oh,well" response, not even a weak "Sorry" - nothing approaching the "Sorry we wasted your valuable time" I deserved. Don't waste your time at this store. Go to the kiosk COSTCO - a mere 100 yards away - or go to Verizon on-line chat. You'll get a quicker, and better, response. read more

Alan and Wendy restored my faith in my hopes for improved customer service at this location. We were back trying to figure out what plan to sign up for and Alan was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the best plan to fit our family, based on our current usage numbers. And when he needed help, Wendy was right there to offer other solutions and ideas. I'm docking one star because we didn't finish the transaction that night, but when we returned, we were helped by another gentleman who I will kindly say was not destined for sales or customer service. If I could rate this negative stars, I absolutely would. Went in to get a replacement phone (prior phone was destroyed) and was looking to pay retail because I'm not interested in signing up for a new 2 year contract in the middle of my current contract..... When we enter, there's one person being helped at the main desk, 2 people waiting ahead of us and the "greeter" is busy chatting with a third customer. Wait about 5 minutes for the greeter to actually greet us. During this time, I'm wondering why the folks ahead of us are waiting, as there are 3 Verizon Wireless employees behind the main desk, only one of them helping anyone, and another employee at a different desk, seemingly available --so, that's 3 "free" Vz employees, 2 customers waiting, one chatting with the greeter, and us-not greeted and not yet in the queue. Finally get assigned to someone to get the replacement phone and it was a disaster; we had an issue with the employee and requested to speak with a manager to see if he/she could resolve the issue for us. Not so much -the manager, Jennifer, has to be absolutely one of the rudest people I've ever come across in any circumstance. I understand Verizon isn't interested in customer service, but Jennifer was snippy and obnoxious-I literally walked out of the store not understanding what had just happened, it was such a mind blowingly bad experience. I've been a Verizon Wireless customer for over a decade, but they just took my loyalty and shoved it somewhere rather unpleasant--I'll have the next year + to decide what I do next, but I know I won't be going back here. read more

Honestly this store doesn't even deserve 1 star, but unfortunately yelp doesn't work that way. I came in today to come and buy a iphone 7 since my old phone is a 2 year old, severely cracked samsung s5. After waiting 45 minutes I finally meet the representative. I clearly state that I just want to upgrade my phone to the iphone 7 and I show him my old phone. Looking at my phone the sales rep immediately tells me I should fix the cracked screen on my phone. He tells me that if I fix my phone and then trade it in he would be able to offer me a deal where I'd only have to pay $4 a month for 24 months! So, he explained even if the repair cost was $100 I would still be saving about $400 since the normal plan is $27 a month for 2 years. Now keep in mind I was already prepared to just buy the damn phone but this offer was too sweet to pass up. I ask him if I fix the phone within 24 hours, would the offer still stand? He assures me that it's only today and tomorrow. With this confirmation I immediately thank him and leave for the local cracked screen repair service and spend $140. Then same day, I pick up my repaired phone and go back to this store. Now it's a different sales rep, and I explain once again that I want the iphone 7 and wanted to trade in my old phone. However this time, suddenly along with the deal there's a $260 in-store down payment and a $40 upgrade fee. Suddenly the sweet $4 a month deal only applied when I also buy an ipad mini. So basically the sales reps at this store deliberately deceived me or just had no idea what they were talking about. When I could've just bought the damn phone they had to tell me that I should go and fix my old phone and waste my money. I walked away after wasting $140 to fix an old phone and hours of wasted time and a bitter newfound hatred for verizon. Don't trust the sales reps and in general just avoid this store. read more

The only good thing about this store is that they have all the phones on display so you can try them out. The bad thing about this store is the customer service. We purchased a phone yesterday from Rich with horrible customer service. The phone was not setup for us which caused my girlfriend to cry, she was told to 'YouTube it' if she needed help. Today we went in to seek assistance and trade for the phone with more memory and the manager Tracey was very rude and condescending with an instant attitude.
