Do not use this service no matter what you do. I have the service for about a year before they raise the price about 20%. The first time I called to discuss the price they told me they couldn't do anything about it because I was getting better service how I don't know because nothing changed from day so then I called the cancel when I called to cancel they mysteriously offered to put it back to the price that it was but by this time I had already called to get a different service so I stuck to my guns then they charged me a $50 cancellation fee just to return my equipment. This company is crooked and we'll take your money anyway they possibly can do not use them no matter what you do you're in Dallas you have lots of choices. read more

Pros: The service is rarely interrupted, which is good. Our phone, Internet and cable generally work. I normally have the advertised download and upload speeds. Cons: You have to call every few months to update your promos...they won't tell you a better price exists. I called to cancel a movie channel that kept creeping up in price, and that's when they mentioned the lower-priced promo. It's hard to get them to admit something might be their fault. They shipped us a replacement cable box and we didn't know about it. I called to have the box reset, but apparently they decided that was an order for a new box. The box got dumped in the garage with the rest of the unpacked moving boxes. I found the mistake when I noticed an new line on the bill. Even after sending back an obviously never-used cable box, we still have to pay the two months of errant "rental." I can understand if we'd put in a new box and forgot to send back the old box, but we still have the old boxes. Eh...bad customer service. (Which is, to say, it's Verizon's way of doing business.) read more

Verizon Fios scammed me! I called to sign up for 50/50 Mbps Internet service and set up an account over the phone. I should have been warned when the representative didn't even bother to ask the correct spelling of my name for the official account. 50/50 Mbps is priced at 84.99 per month. I had seen it priced at 54.99 per month online when I called. The representative confirmed there was, in fact, a promotion going on, but it was only for 64.99 per month and not 54.99. She said the initial bill estimation would not reflect the promotional credit but the actual bill would. The bill showed up, and it was not included. Now I've called customer service and there is no indication on my account that the promotional credit would be added and matter-of-factly inform me that the lowest pricing they have for any of their internet services is 74.99 (25/25 Mbps). As such, they claim there is nothing they can do for me to correct this wrong and hide behind automated responses that sound without meaning, including "I'm sorry, ma'ma." One of Verizon's representatives lied to me by setting me up with an account under a false impression of a promotional credit, let me confirm it with her multiple times, and stuck me with a bill that was way more expensive than she lead me to believe. I would not have signed up for it otherwise. I was scammed! read more

Frontier Cable is a horrid company. Avoid it at all costs. If they can't trick you on the 2 yr contract angle with an early termination fee, they'll fornicate with your bank account with a hefty extra charge because they "had" to remove their promotions to allow you to cancel service early!! The implication is there is still a contract either way. And all of this based upon an oral recorded agreement that they can't play back so you can hear for yourself the proof that you understood what you were getting into!! read more

UPDATE: Another technician came, told me the exact same thing, AND THEN ASKED ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY SERVICE. You tell me. You're the technician. He also couldn't fix it and gave me the same go around as the last guy. Frontier makes me wish I kept all those AOL free trial disks. Merriam-Webster defines garbage as "a thing that is considered worthless or meaningless". My definition? Frontier Fios, whatever it's called now. My internet and tv have been down for 3 days, almost 4. Took 3 separate phone calls to get a technician scheduled to come look at it. Stop entertaining me with this "restart the router, unplug the power" and insulting my intelligence. The technician was supposed to come from 8am-5pm, so I asked if he could somehow come earlier so I didn't have to stay home all day. Phone customer service put that note in for me. Okay cool. I cancel all my morning plans Monday, including seeing my sick grandfather and helping my parents pack up their home. I end up waiting till 4:15 PM, the technician Craig shows up. Turns out he can't fix the problem either and has to call in a team to work on the wiring outside. He specifically said they would call me and email in 15 minutes. *in spongebob announcer voice* "Three hours later" no phone call, email, or Harry Potter owl. I end up calling them again, totaling my hours spent on the phone with them to 4 hours today. Turns out they closed the ticket and said the problem was resolved?! Here we go again with the "did you restart the router, plug it in, scratch your butt, spin around 3 times while balancing a tennis racket on your head" nonsense. After about an hour of that, he finally said he's gonna open another ticket and they will be here tomorrow. Guess what? No time frame. Lovely. They just assume I'm staying at home, playing with my graphing calculator like a nice little Asian boy does, all the time in the world. If only they listened to me the first time...I told them it wasn't on my end, and something outside. I don't even have Minesweeper on my computer to entertain me. Why did Windows 10 get rid of that? I might follow suit and get rid of Frontier. Doesn't Frontier mean like edge of civilization? I'm at the edge of my sanity. Y'all make me want to drink. read more

What is their to say besides bad. I was happy with Verizon as they always helped. I was on the phone for 40 minutes before they answered. Offered me 10 bucks off my bill as I told them I am doing all my paperwork on a s5 cause nets been down 2 days. TV box went dead plus our wifi barely works within the house and our house is average size. I call, am in phone for 2 hours and 25 minutes total. First person immediately transfers me. Second person kept putting me on hold. She was having computer issues and had to search for my account on several systems. She finally said she could not find my account. I said, that funny because Frontier has no problem charging my credit card every month. I told her to cancel my account and quit charging my credit card. She said she couldn't because she couldn't find my account and if I would call back another time maybe then the system could find it. I said I would just refuse the charges on my card and go find another provider, which is what I should have done from the beginning. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been trying to fix a billing problem since October 2018. It is under "appeal" which means absolutely nothing. Every time I call I get the collections department, they put me on hold for 10-15 minutes and then send me to customer service. Customer service then reads my file, which takes several minutes of being put back on hold, and then I am told my bill is in collections. Really? Ask for a supervisor or manager and you are told that is not possible. I then get sent back to collections. To start with, this is my first review, ever. I am typically quite patient with poor service. I was particularly inspired to write this due to the overwhelming incompetency from Frontier/Fios. This is probably the worst service I've ever seen. For the past 19 months, I've actually enjoyed the service. For that time, it just worked without issue. But for the past two weeks, I've been without service because I moved from an apartment to a new home (just down the street). Here's the major events, I'll try to keep short: - Day 0, Friday: Service transfer scheduled. Tech guaranteed arrival between 8am and 5pm. That's a nine hour window!! They (very reluctantly!!) agreed to be there between 8am and 12pm on Monday. I would get 15 minutes notice before their arrival. - Day 3: Since I work more than 15 minutes away, I skipped work on Monday morning. The technician did not show up. Long story short, we rescheduled for the following Saturday so I could avoid missing work and comply with their 9 hour window. - Day 8, Saturday: I waited patiently until around 3pm when I called to make sure nothing had changed. I was assured by customer service that the tech would be there before 5pm. At 5:15pm, I again called to find out if they were still coming. To my dismay, I was told that the service call was cancelled, but they could not tell me why. I was on the phone for over 2 hours. I spoke to no less that 6 different reps and supervisors. Despite being told I could hook up the equipment myself, that wasn't even possible even with their tech support on the line. In the end, I agreed to reschedule for Monday, but I was upset with the 9 hour window. Again, they reluctantly agreed to be there before noon. - Day 10: By 9:30am, I had not heard from them and didn't want to miss another day of work without getting this done. So I proactively called again just to ensure we were on schedule. The rep told me that his records showed that I had rescheduled from the past Saturday to today, but then the order was cancelled. He again did not mention a reason. I told him I'm done...cancel the request. I wish I could give less than 1 star! read more

Verizon sold all of their Denton accounts to Frontier without much notice. Have been a loyal FIOS customer for over 10 years not one interruption. Shortly after the switch, most of our bought movies are still not available, search features still sporadic at best. Internet has been down a couple of times for hours and had to reboot the router to get it to come back. We are already searching for something else, but am afraid the monopoly is too deep. Frontier are the worst TV provider we have ever been with. Since they bought out Verizon in our area there has been next to no TV shows available on demand and all they say is we are working on it. One show we watch aired episode 22 last week. On demand we can watch episodes 17 & 18 only. This week without warning they disconnected our external hard drive recorder which we had for YEARS with Verizon. So now we have lost all the TV we had on that. Just sent cables boxes that took 3 weeks and didn't even work! with no tech to help install customer service doesn't exist...finally sent new boxes with a tech who was 2 hours LATE outside the window and he left without even setting up all the boxes in the rooms! If I could give this craptastic company negative five stars I would! I've literally been on hold for an hour and forty two minutes. My roommate and I scheduled an appointment for cable services last week; a tech came by and said he couldn't do it because the wires weren't wired correctly. Cool, understandable we let my landlord know and he schedule an electrician for 12/20/16 to correct the situation. I called frontier the same day the original guy came out, to let them know they could schedule an appointment for the following day for today 12/21/16 because the issues would be fixed, they lady I spoke with scheduled the appointment from 8am-5pm on the 21st. So now it's the 21st; me and my roommate are excited to get cable, I decide to call & check the status of the techs arrival and the agent has the nerve to tell me that something wasn't entered and it wasn't sent to dispatch so it's going to delay the service( we are both college students who work and are scheduled to go home for Christmas break). Granted, I called yesterday to confirm the appointment and was told they would be here. And now I've been on hold now for two hours and received zero help. I had my roommate call and they tell her that no one can get out here today! AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN! They have HORRIBLE customer service, there has to be a bunch of idiots working for this company. This is not the first time I've called, heck this isn't even 5th time I've called regarding issues with this company! Avoid them like the plague! read more

I was a Verizon Customer for almost 5 years then they changed my service to Frontier. Now, to get the same service I had with Verizon, it was going to cost me almost $50 a month more. I told them I couldn't afford $200 a month so what can I get for the $150 I had been paying Verizon. Apparently I will go from 300 channels to 70 and loose the premium channels (I had all of the premium channels). I live in an apartment building and I don't have a choice of Cable providers. internet is great....but DO NOT use this company for cable! It is a SCAM. they advertise as HD plans, charge you the price for HD channels/package, but give you a regular cable box that DOES NOT support HD (like you can't even watch a channel labeled HD). I called to inquire, they said it would cost extra for an HD cable box IN ADDITION to the extra I'm already paying for an HD plan. What sense does that make??? When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they would not transfer my call to a supervisor. I will be dumping these con-artists at the end of the month. read more

SInce Verizon transitioned my Internet service to FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS, it has been a frustrating, disastrous transition. It started when they could not process an Auto-pay payment. When I trieD to set up online access, I had to do the email verification three times, the phone verification four times and their system could not link my old Verizon account. When I called customer service, I spoke with three different agents and was on the phone for 70 minutes. Agent #1 wanted to take my payment but could not figure out how to email my statement to me. He gave me an account number that was completely different from my originally assigned account number. When I asked him about the account number, he could not answer my question, transferred me to Agent #2. I made the same request. She put me on hold then dropped the call. I called again and spoke with Agent #3. I tried to call back, was on hold for another 35 minutes. I asked to have my statement emailed to me and she could not find it. I asked Agent #3 to connect me with a supervisor but she said she could not find a supervisor. Agent #3 said she didn't know how to generate a .PDF of my statement and email it to me. Then, after holding for 15 minutes, Agent #3 told me she now knew how to email my statement but needed my email address. Then she had to put me on hold again. While waiting on hold, I started typing out this review on FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS. FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS is a joke. FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS Customer service is a joke. The agents they hire must receive no training on how to use their system. I am actively looking for a service to replace FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS. I started my call at 8:00 pm and ended the call at 9:12 pm--Agent #3 was not able to get a copy of my statement after all and did not know what else to do. I explained to her that FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS was able to give me a statement balance--so why could I not get a statement detailing my services being charged? She could not explain it. I know Verizon; and Frontier, you are no Verizon. The sale may have made Verizon happy, but it really took the consumer for a ride. Frontier was just not up to delivering FIOS service, FIOS variety in on demand service and what was once rock steady FIOS is now very unsteady Frontier. My Note 4 was rock steady on WIFI using Verizon FIOS. As soon as Frontier took over, it began dropping calls right and left. It has recovered some, but is still much less reliable than when Verizon ran things. Sorry Frontier, hate to say you aren't doing a quality job, but you despite moments of excellence, you aren't. And the rates are still insanely high for what we get. Trying to decide who I might switch to. Charter??? read more

Unless that is you have nothing better to do than wait on hold for one hour only to be disconnected, want to lose hours upon hours of your life while being told something different by each and every person you speak with AND I believe that these people work from home, not a call center! After waiting 30+ minutes for tech support the phone rang and the next thing I heard was someone screaming at children and when they finally acknowledged me and I asked what happened they responded, "I just got off a break and failed to mute my phone, I'm so sorry for that" then after asking the initial info from me the line went dead! I literally spent over 4 hours with this company trying to get a problem solved. I would rather try and contact the IRS, it's usually a long wait but I've never had them DISCONNECT ME, which seems to be how the people at frontier are trained, just drop the call and move on to the next SUCKER!!! My contract is up in a little over 2 months and I can't wait to drop them. PS their app isn't much better...when I tried to set up my phone number it asked you to choose if you want "special offers" and if you "decline" it wipes out your phone number and will not allow you to enter it unless you take the offers. We were with Verizon and were switched/forced to Frontier. We were told the transition wouldn't be noticeable. Well they couldn't have been more wrong. My wife handles these matters normally and she is beyond frustrated. Majority of the services we had prior are still not available to us more than one month after the transition. Today while my daughters are finishing online homework the internet goes out. We attempt to call Frontier and we realize we don't have phone service. We didn't even realize that this transition was a change to our phone service. DO NOT USE FRONTIER!!!! By the way this is the first review I have ever written and am pretty understanding. I was not a fan of Frontier when they took over Verizon. I had Charter before Verizon and sometimes we would be without internet & television for close to a week at a time and it happened at least twice yearly but they would never adjust our bill. And they would decrease our speed so it would get slower and slower. We would have to call to get it back to what we were paying for. When Verizon came along it was great. I never really had major issues. Then Frontier took over and we almost immediately had issues with our guide, on demand and internet speeds so slow that the connection would time out. I called and paid more to increase the speed, got a really big increase in my monthly bill because when you even modify your service they add a hefty fee on your bill. Came home Friday afternoon to no internet or television. I spent over two hours with tech support, first one person then a different one and was told that a tech would need to come out Monday. I thought, ok, this is it. If it isn't fixed or if it happens again I guess I would go back to Charter. But, a tech named Jim called me today, two days earlier than they said he would be here. Jim is awesome! He said he was nearby and the outside box was not working. He replaced it and replaced the router inside. Everything is working perfectly and the Internet is very fast. Keeping my fingers crossed. Our provider choices are limited here but right now I and can recommend Frontier. read more
