One word: "horrible" Came here on a Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1715 hrs due to spontaneous technological difficulties that had aroused with my HTC earlier in the day. Ten minutes after standing in line, a teenager comes up to me and says "Let me check you in, it will be about 15-20 minutes." Really? Tired of waiting and simultaneously frustrated I converge at the "Tech Bar" and wait for someone to assist me. Approximately five minutes later, came one of the rudest persons I've ever dealt with in my entire life. A Filipino Male in his early thirties with spikey hair and exposed tatts on both arms whose name I believe was Josh or Joshua. Anyway, I explained my situation and was then forced to deal with Josh's level of patience (which he failed to possess). He repeatedly stated that all they could do was perform a factory reset and that I would lose everything: from contacts, to photos, to everything important to me. Working in Law Enforcement and being a very busy person, this could obviously not be tolerated. To tell you the truth, Josh was actually decently friendly UNTIL he noticed the LAPD shirt I was wearing. After he examined the print on my t-shirt was when he seemed to show his true ambitions and attitude towards me. If you work in Law Enforcement, or simply appreciate good customer service, DO NOT waste your time here. Eventually, Josh grunted at me, got frustrated himself, handed me back my phone and walked away without saying a word. My response? To myself, Okay...no worries, since I might have to deal with you on the streets, I'll choose my freedom to not deal with your crappy attitude and ethics in the store setting. Bye, Felicia. Oh, and by the way, I ended up taking my phone to Verizon in Union City at the Landing and low and behold, they were able to resolve my issue within a matter of a minute or two. On 8/30/2018, I purchased gizmopal2 phone for $32.76 as the Fremont, Calif store did not have gizmogadget. I ask if I can later exchange and upgrade to gizmogadget which was a yes. There was no disclosure of "restocking fee" and that I can return it within 14 days. On 09/01/2018, I found a gizmogadet phone at the San Francisco, Calif store and purchased it. On 09/04/2018, I tried to return the prior gizmopal2 phone at the Union City, Calif store and they told me that there was a $35 restocking fee meaning that I would be charge more money just to return it. I said no as I found it impractical to return and get charge for it. I am taken aback that I was going to be charged extra just to return it. I later read the fine print and it did note a general $35 restocking fee. Nevertheless, I found this specific business practice to be unethical. read more

Was walking in there expecting to leave with a free new battery. Too high of expectations, I suppose. I think that people should be given free batteries especially if I am not the one at fault when the phone goes crazy restarting itself. Was told I wasn't on a protection or warranty plan and that they didn't have any batteries in the store. So if I was on a warranty plan, would they be saying the same thing? I wonder. I didn't drop my phone in water or anything. it just all of a sudden started rebooting like crazy yesterday. Tried taking out the battery, left it charged, factory reset it and it still restarts. Only when it's plugged into the charger does it stop restarting. No one was nasty to me like the previous reviews say so you get one star for that 2nd star is for the service being quick and I didn't have to wait two hours just to be told this. Was in and out of there in five minutes. 3rd star is for the employees I think who are not in charge of their crappy policies. If corporate really wanted a good business, they'd make good policies and conditions to keep Verizon customers happy. I've had the same # for ten plus years with Verizon and I hope I won't have to switch my service just because Verizon employees don't want to go out of their way to help me with this issue. Tried resolving this on my own so I wouldn't even have to go into the store at all. No luck. Looks like I'll have to do more research on my own since going to the store didn't help. I had wanted human interaction to get a better idea of what is going on. How does someone working there not have any idea what is going on with these phones when something like that happens? Unfortunately, Yelp does not allow me to rate this store 0 stars, but really, this store deserves it. Every single time we have gone there, customer service has been terrible for anything other than sales, in which case they will try to sell you every single accessory/extra known to man before allowing you to finally get your phone that you pay a pretty penny for. But when they actually mess up or make a mistake, then shit really hits the fan. We went in, thinking it would be a simple fix. They didn't believe us when we told them. No really! They stared at us like we were the ones who were stupid somehow, arrogantly demanding to see the proof, for us to show them the charge on our actual bill. Then our "salesperson" has no idea what to do, and every exchange is "okay hold on, let me ask someone" (waits 15 minutes for them to come back) "Yeah, they don't know what to do either. Just wanted to give you an update. I'm going to go call someone else." (waits 15 more minutes)... You get the idea. It is so clear that they have not been trained in anything other than how to sell the most expensive phones to everyone, even people who will not know how to use them, and worst, to people who will not know how to say no. In that case, then they should clearly state they don't know how to fix any problems. Just display a sign, saying "after purchase, no questions, no refunds, no exchanges, no service." Superior customer service by Manager Daniel . Every time I need services by Verizon I go to wherever Daniel is working. This store is lucky enough to have him as one of the managers right now. I came in most recently to get an iPhone 5s after my iPhone 4 was stolen. I arrived to the store at around 7am on the day that they were released and to my surprise the line was not half bad. Sitting all night at a Apple store is just crazy. Verizon stores don't have the overnight lines, and they offer deals such as in trading in an older phone to get some money off your new phone. At around 7:30am Verizon reps including Daniel and General Manager (forgot her name, starts with an A?) to ask if anyone needed to back up their phones. They offered to install vzw cloud and were assisting folks with the back ups. The managers were extremely prepared for the iPhone madness, and were really friendly and not even a tad stressed out! Even when they had to announce that Apple had not sent any Gold phones, or that they were starting to sell out as the line went by, they were cool and collective. Once I was inside, my transaction was quick and to the point. No pressure on up selling accessories or a new plan. This location is also in a prime shopping location, so if you happen to be in the area, and need a phone, come see Daniel C and he will take care of you! read more

Went to the Verizon store with my friend to check on his upgrade because he wants to get the iPhone. Talked to AMAR regarding an early upgrade because my friend is 3 weeks out, and before he even looked at the account he said "NO we can't do that". When I asked him why? He gave me a BS excuse about apple not allowing them to do that. When I told him that AT&T did it for me, he said "no they can't do that either", which is BS once again. Then he started making up excuses and stuttering. This guy is very unprofessional and not looking to help out a customer. When I went into the store to get a new sim card, the person at the front signed me up and gave me an estimate of the wait time. I bought an iPhone 12 a week ago but did not trade in my phone at the time because I wanted to make sure all my information would download onto the new phone from the Cloud Since the time before I lost all of my music. The sales person said I could still get my $100 trade-in for my old phone as long as I turned it in within 10 days. That all I had to do was call Verizon and they would send me what I would need to send my phone in. That wasn't true. I spent over two hours on the phone trying to get what I needed so I can return my phone but I was told that the store was supposed to give me something that they did not give me. I would give zero stars if possible. The workers here will not hesitate to lie, and if anyone asks, I would tell them stay the hell away from this store. Let me add to the tales of deception from this store. Lie 1 - I went in to talk about getting a new phone. They said they can take my old one for a trade-in, and they could transfer the data for me. Great! They show me that they were transferring my contacts, photos, and videos, and then told me everything was done. But when I got the new phone, it didn't have my videos. They didn't want to take the time to transfer the videos. Lie 2 - lie by omission I guess. They never mentioned that I could not return the stuff I bought before, even though their return policy says otherwise. Lie 3 - I got a new phone and a new case a part of a "deal". The case ends up being probably $15 more than I would have paid if I got it online, but I didn't like the case. I went in to return it. First, it was a long wait. Second, the woman (manager?) tells me that I can't get a refund because of the "deal". I can only exchange it for an item of the same price or cheaper. The problem is that almost every other case was $35 or less but I was charged $50. They expected me to lose money on their overpriced crap. This lady eventually says that they have a case which is the same price in the back, and I took it but saw that she had ripped off the price tag. Guess what? The actual price is on the receipt! She straight up lied to my face about how much this case was and tried to hide it. So in short, these people are extremely dishonest and will not hesitate to lie to you to make more money. I would almost be okay with it if they had better customer service, but they're incredibly slow. I made a mistake in coming here. Don't do the same. read more

I have been a loyal Verizon customer for 7 years. I have 2 phone s and 1 MiFi device on my line. They get $230 of my hard earned money every month. I switched my company to Verizon and pay an average monthly bill of $6500. I went to this store last night and was appalled at the behavior of the salesman and his manager. I have a question about an iPhone 4s Which iPhone do you want. 4s Which one ..I need to know what to get from the store room. I'm not sure I want one til my question is answered. *sigh*. Greeted by two guys at the door, then waited 20 mins to be helped. My phone had not been working for 2-3 weeks. When they got to me I asked if they could do anything to offset my bill, since I hadn't used their service due to the dead phone... no. Tried to get a replacement phone similar to what I've been using for 4 years, (G'Zone rugged flip phone) but the one on display is no longer available, according to saleswoman. Asked about a different flip phone and they wanted me to pay $99, even though I haven't upgraded in 4 years or more. Left the store disappointed. I have been happy with Verizon for many years but am tired of paying $45/month for a basic flip phone with limited minutes. When I went over in Oct by bill was $80! Called customer service and the nice lady credited my account $30 and informed me the sales lady at the store had changed my plan to $50 for unlimited talk/text. I never gave her permission to do that. I might have agreed if she had asked, but why would they do it without telling me? I think that may be illegal. I randomly went into this location and was very impressed however, the store layout is a little tight and it was very busy. Moreover, I found myself looking at phones longer then needed because no one noticed that I needed assistance. When I was finally helped, this wonderful woman (Asian heritage-her name doesn't appear on my receipt) and she was very helpful. She was able to assist me with my purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, make and keep light conversation that was focused on me, and squeeze in some up-sale. I had intended to pay for the full price of the phone initially, but she suggest that I consider an installment plan which I accepted. I am really happy that I found this location and will be returning to this store if I have any further needs and staff member. Finally, I was really impressed that the store allowed a disheveled and possibly homeless Veteran to charge his phone!! Rachelle answered all our questions and liaised with her manager to negotiate a deal for us. (Not sure how much I believe the "Manager needs to get approval from the District Manager" line, but whatever. In the end, we got a good deal on 2 HTC Incredibles and accessories. I understand that it is Xmas eve and that there are quite a few customers here, but I would appreciate it it their employees can check up on me to see how I'm doing. Their employees are just waiting back and forth, and making eye contacts with me, but then doesn't approach me and ask me if I need help or anything. What kind of customer service is this? I've been with verizon for over 7 years, and this is not the kind of service I was expecting from them. I'm not the only one that is waiting and complaining. There are these two other customers next to me who have been waiting for so long, that one of them went to go get food to bring back here, while they continue to wait! Let me warn you this review is extremely long and is loaded with first world problems, so proceed at the risk of your own time... Also, you will not get back the minutes of your life lost reading this review, so don't ask. Let's address the elephant in the room first. The team (I'll use that very loosely here) at this location has absolutely zero interest in helping you with anything outside of selling you a new/upgraded phone, service or accessories. Next, let me assure you that at no point did I lose my cool or raise my voice. If anything, I laughed my way through it. With that said, here's my story: Came in to warranty my phone that has known issues that were not caused by damage or misuse of the phone. I wait 20 minutes before being acknowledged. A rep approaches and says "you should've come in later, we're less busy then"..." what did you need? " I ignore the attempt to explain why I wasn't even greeted and explain my situation. The rep tells that I should go home and call the corporate service because they're supposed to handle warranties and can ship my phone faster. (later learned this is a total lie) I ask if he can take care of it now, since I'm here and his (later learned) Manager, Steve is already telling him to take care of other issues. Nice, right? 20 minutes waiting, 2 minutes face time and I'm the inconvenience. -So, off I go and call the tech support. I'll cut out the tech support part since this review is about the store. The short version is that I spent 2 hrs on the phone with them, was lectured for not owning a land line, called a liar for not doing a factory reset (they apologized after the screen refreshed on their end) and worst of all.... Sent back to the store, because corporate could not warranty my phone since I bought it as part of a Verizon package. Before heading back to the store, I beg the customer service representative on the phone to call the store now and explain Verizon's fault, so I can expedite my store visit. 5 minute hold "so I talked to the manager, Steve... He, uh gave us a lot of.. Uh, pushback. However, I took care of it and I need you to see him so you can avoid going through all this again." Push back? For doing his job? Keep in mind this is Verizon i'm talking to, not some 3rd party service. I arrive at the store and wait a few minutes and am greeted by a friendly guy who asks me what he can do for me. I explain that I'm there to see Steve, who is aware of my situation. I watch him walk over to Steve and tell him I'm waiting, who shakes his head in a way that can only be taken as disrespectful. All while in clear vision of me! He sees me, realizes he's caught and spends the next 20, yes 20, minutes avoiding me. He runs into the office and calls an employee back with him. The employee returns and asks if he can help me. I tell him I've been waiting for Steve and that he's already aware I'm here. He replies, "no, Steve sent me out here, because he doesn't handle these situations plus he's really busy right now." I take a deep breath. "so, he doesn't handle customer satisfaction issues regarding his store's performance? "Uh, no he's busy " So this kid then tells me he has no idea what I came in for and that we would need to start the process all over, factory resets and all... He then tells me it would be easier if I just bought a new phone asks me if I'd like some time to look around their selection. I thank him for trying to hustle, but tell him not to waste our time. He tries once more and I put my foot down and he runs back into the office (I assume to talk to Steve) He comes out once more and tells me that Steve needs to inspect my phone and I reluctantly hand it over. Two minutes pass and he returns with my phone in hand. The kid tells me that there's abrasions (smudges from leaving it on a desk) on the back cover of my phone and that they will not warranty the phone, so I should just buy a new one instead. Is there something in the water in the Verizon store water cooler? I tell him that I want him to process the warranty and not say another word about a new phone, because it'll never happen in a million years. He runs back into the office to check with Steve and tells me that if I do the warranty I will have to pay the full price of the phone ($500), because in his experience my damage caused the software issues on my phone. I ask him how long he's been working for Verizon. With a serious face he says, "..... Not that long " "Um yeah, bro... I'll take my chances. Process the warranty." He starts processing it when Steve comes out and walks by me with his eyes glued to the floor and starts BSing with one of his guys about some show they watched. -We get it dude, you're super busy. 2 weeks later, warranty was approved without any issues. Verizon was aware of the known software issue on their end. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

October 2013: We wanted to get an iPhone and we went there with an appointment ( please make sure you have one otherwise your waiting for Atleast an hour) So finally after 15 mins past our appointment one individual from the team comes forward and start helping us . He didn't know Anything! He was asking his co staff for an answer everytime we asked the question . His hands had some kind of rash ! Oh My god ! We were disgusted !and he shook hands with us. We were so scared if it was something that would spread , we went home and rubbed our hands. Disgusting ! Don't you have common sense ? Everytime we wanted to ask a question about the phone feature he starts showing different accessories to the phone we can add and never got the answer to our questions . My homie Barry has been working here for a while (used to be the manager but has recently stepped down due to other priorities). Ask for him if you want some one who's personable, friendly, extremely helpful, and clear about what you're buying and using. The last time we came by, we were picking up the new droid incredible. Barry activated them, transferred our numbers and info, set up our email, and walked us through everything step by step. He basically spent a good hour with us, the store was already closed and he didn't ever make us feel rushed at all. A+++ customer service right there! read more

This is the best verizon store to come to in the area. There usually is never a long wait and if there is they always have someone who greets you right away and never leaves you guessing when you will be called up. I have had many problems where my new smartphone would stop working and they never once questioned me about it. Instead they were very nice and would just swap out the phone if they encountered the problem while I was present. Not to mention, Verizon Wireless has the BEST service around! I was in a studio today with lots of AT&T (Iphone) people and none of them had service enough to send text messages or anything... but, when I looked at my bars I had full bars. :) It made me very very happy!! I suggest anyone needing Verizon Wireless services should go to this particular location. I hear it's a corporate store, so not only are they more knowledgeable than the associates at most other stores, but they can do more for you. I've been having problems with my phone, and went to two different stores (and even talked to an associate online), NONE of them did anything for me. All they said was to contact insurance (Asurion, and THEY didn't do anything for me either). But then I finally went to this Godsend and they helped me right away! No hassle whatsoever. All they asked for was my number so they could check on my insurance/warranty and I had a replacement phone sent to me within ten minutes! Happy with my visit to this Verizon store yesterday. The night before I tried the store at Eastridge mall in San Jose (DO NOT GO THERE - they had me wait an hour just to tell me they were closing and I could get a better deal from their competitor across the mall - who does that?) Anyways, the wait at this store was quite a bit long (1 hour) but they warned me when I came in that it could be a 30-60 minute wait. During my wait, they would let me know how many people were in line ahead of me and the approximate wait time left (I liked that). I was helped by a man named Samuel (think he went by Sam). AWESOME guy. Super friendly and personable - made light talk but not too much (there IS a happy medium). He was patient with me trying to understand the differences between their new Edge program and the regular 2 year contracts. Also explained the data tiers since I would be losing my unlimited data plan. It was a Friday evening after a long day of work and he patiently walked through the math with me (several times) and answered all of my questions and concerns related to the changes. I went in hoping to walk out with a Samsung Galaxy S4 and wound up walking out with that PLUS a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and I only wound up paying a whopping total of $6 and some change due to trading in my iPhone 4S (that included sales tax). I bought an Iphone, Otter Box and screen protector. Screen protector cracked after 12 days (previous phone's protector lasted 3 years so I'm not tough on the phone). Store said they don't stand behind accessories. I had to contact another company and spend $5 to get a new cover. ISince they didn't tell me where to send it I called Verizon. I've been on hold for close to 30 minutes so far waiting to find out who I should contact. What service. T Mobil, Apple store or someone else next time. read more

Fraudlant practices are done here. Was lied to multiple times about cost of adding on additional piece of equipment. Was told it was going to be a one time cost but in reality it was a monthly charge. Asked if it was going to just be a one time charge 4-5 times and received same answer from sales assocaite that it was just a one time charge. Was lied to for a sale. read more
