I've had a horrible last 3 years with lies and a contract I never signed but this store just sent me over the edge. I went to get a prepaid number. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The girl was nice, but when I asked for my id she said she didn't have it and then I asked the manager if there is a way to look at cameras.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not even me but just to locate the id that was take and the can just look to see what happened themselves. From me or possibly dropped or misplaced by staff... [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was not rude or short yet I was told go get an atty and a subpoena.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's faster and cheaper to wait in line half the day and pay $11 than to deal with Verizon anymore. This does not include the horrors or the fact that I could not use my number and had to get a different number from a different carrier. I had a terrible experience at this Verizon store. This is the worst Verizon they lie to you and overcharge you . They are very rude and unprofessional and you can't talk to a manager about anything . I was rudely told off by an employee . I also looked at my bill and I was charged back for a promotion even though I fulfilled the requirements. I will definitely look into cancelling my three lines with Verizon. We have 6 lines of service-attempted to buy new phones-the experience was so bad at one point we told the manager to consider that there is other carriers out there, and she said "well maybe you should go there" so we did. Horrendous experiences both times I've been here. First time I was trying to got buy a phone and knew what I wanted but I took me 4.5 hours from start to finish due to long wait times, slowness of the purchasing process, and them getting the data to start syncing between phones). I had to leave and come back since they took so long and had to close for the day.Second time I was wanting to turn in my old phone and take the insurance off of my new phone. The manager helped me turn the phone in but left me "cause he has other things to do" instead of helping me get the insurance off my phone. He helped my activate my phone, find a more durable phone case, put my screen protector on, helped me get my old phone in the return box and fixed whatever problem I was having getting a good connection.. twice. I left the store to drop off my old phone and years of text threads suddenly were deleted and none of my messages would send. By this point in my day I was so stressed out and over everything. When I arrived back at the store Jonathan was able to fix everything! He was so kind, helpful, friendly and patient with all the issues I was having today. Came in today, waited for 15 minutes standing without being acknowledged while the security guard was watching videos on his phone. Once approached, it seemed like a burden. I saw multiple clients come after me and the same treatment was given. The manager was the most lackadaisical person on the floor, I only knew she was the manager once her name tag passed me. Best Verizon experience to date and I've been with the company for 15 years! Marcus, one of the new managers at this location helped me fix all of my lingering problems worry free in under 30 minutes. I wish I had gone to the store before I wasted 3 hours on the phone with customer service! The best part of the whole deal was that due to on going repairs from damage caused in Harvey, this was all handled in the parking lot outside a "trailer" Verizon store! I was sad to see that the rating for his store was a little lower when I went to write this review, but I know that Marcus being a customer service guru in a managerial role, this is my new stop for anything Verizon! I explained to the employee that I would be porting my number over from another company to a personal line, then transferring that to a business account. My current phone was not compatible with Verizon, but I said that was fine since my company would be assuming liability most likely within a week and sending me a new phone. After signing up for the service (at a different Verizon location) and then calling later to give my company authorization to assume liability, I was then informed that there was a 30 day waiting period in order to transfer between account types. I had spoken to multiple employees who were fully aware of my situation and mentioned NOTHING about this. If I had known this I would have never signed up for the service and would have simply gone elsewhere. Since I was about to be without phone service for a month, I went into the store multiple times to try to resolve the situation. The representative I spoke with took absolutely no responsibility for what had happened and essentially said the whole thing was my fault, even saying that if I wanted people to help me that I should try being "nice". I was completely speechless - I was not being disrespectful or causing a scene in any way - simply insisting that they figure out a solution for the problem brought on by Verizon employees being untruthful to me in order to get me to sign up for their plan. They took zero responsibility for their actions and no initiative in solving the issue they alone created. Long story short, I ended up switching to AT&T after 9 days, and they were able to complete the entire process in 15 minutes (what Verizon couldn't do in 3+ weeks). I truly cannot believe how I was treated, especially as a new customer. If I never walk into another Verizon store it will be too soon!! read more

I should have read the reviews before I came here. I am extremely irritated, I came in waited 40 minutes just for someone to take 3 people who came in after me, first. What's crazy is the worker claims he had me "in the que" but never even asked me what I needed help with. I was waiting to be authorized on my parents account just in case but for what I was in there for I didn't even need to be authorized. My phone just needed to be reset and for some reason I was having trouble doing it on my own. That is the only reason I came in. I ended up just leaving and deciding to go to a store with TEN TIMES BETTER SERVICE in pearland. I have been to this store twice over the course of last three months. Both times I have been. Helped to exchange my phone. The actual exchange was OK but the individual helping was very unfriendly. Something that I have not experienced at other stores. Slow, inefficient and condescending. Not something I want to sew with again. I normally dread, I mean I truly LOATHE walking into these stores, but luckily this place was dead Friday late afternoon/early evening when I went in to upgrade my phone. Now, as always, buyer beware: This is a Verizon store so they are going to try to upsell you on EVERYTHING. I knew this so I came in prepared. First of all, I still have unlimited data, so going in I made sure I knew exactly how much data I was using and whether or not it made more sense to go to a regular plan. Because you better believe the pressure is ON to get me off that unlimited plan. Secondly, you gotta be some kind of dummy to buy accessories at Verizon in 2016. Price compare everything! Amazon has their exact same accessories for half or a quarter of the price. My phone case was $25 in the store - $12 on Amazon. The wireless charger for my phone is $60 in store - there's a huge selection on Amazon for the exact same thing ranging from $10 to $25. So when the salesguy asked if I needed anything, I innocently asked if they price matched Amazon, and of course he laughed and then immediately dropped it. That said, the person helping me was more than competent - got my phones switched over, transferred some of my data and showed me how to do the rest at home, and even noted that I could avoid the high sticker price of buying full retail by going on a payment plan which wouldn't alter my base subscription with unlimited data. Today I went in to upgrade my phone. After some patience on their part (me choosing phone, case & charger) then me patiently waiting for them to finish up their end, I left as a happy camper with my new phone. That was until I tried to make a call. My phone wouldn't make a call! I couldn't go straight back to the store cause I had to go to work. By the time I got to the store the man helping me was gone but I recognized a different man from earlier that day. I told him I bought a phone and it's not activated. He was kind enough to help me out even though it seemed that it should of been handled by his co-worker but throughout my second experience with this second man, he was not at all socially aware. He called across the room to me on several occasions asking me to tell him my passcode (like.. a. could you not remember the first time? b. want my SSN too?) then he kept leaving his greasy ole prints over my phone popping my brand new case off and on (considering I have a clear case and the entire phone is glass BE CONSIDERATE, CAREFUL AND CLEAN OFF YOUR FREAKING PRINTS OFF MY BRAND NEW PHONE!! Surprisingly enough, I don't think your print are valuable and no, I don't want them cased all over MY phone. !!!!NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED. Left this store a SECOND time in one day with the new iPhone X ($1000) that could not even make a call!!! He basically called a 1800 number and waited across the room from me, didn't invite me over, but he pulled a chair up for himself and left me across the room... when he came back and I was asking what I was supposed to do, he just said wait and if its still not working in 24 hours then come back again... (well it has been 13 hours since I purchased my phone and it's just a really expensive brick). I asked what they were going to do to right this wrong. If I knew I was going to be leaving with a broke phone, I would have just kept my old one! He said I could come back to the other guy and ask to see what he could do but that he couldn't help me anymore AND SAYS that if he were me he would have made a test call before leaving the first time and maybe this wouldn't have happened. And then he managed to slip THAT in!?!? EXCUSE ME FOR THINKING THIS "I PHONE X" WOULD FREAKING WORK WHEN HE HANDS ME MY BAG AND WALKS OFF! You know what I love more than anything??!! Being reminded throughout my entire experience how much I was spending on a purchase and then leave and not only did I leave with nothing, I left in a worse condition than what I started from. Verizon, I have been a loyal customer, pay my bills on time, try to do everything on-line so I don't bother the 1800 people.. even still said thank you to the men who helped me even when I didn't feel helped or respected. So I recently came here to buy a new iPhone 11 pro and two apples watches along with accessories. The guy who helped me was named Ryan and the manager is named Jennifer. I asked for an iPhone 11 pro in green. He comes out with a mint green color (for my bf) meanwhile looks like a girl color but I assumed that wasn't the phone we were getting. He opens it up because we bought it thinking it was the army green color and an actual 11 PRO NOT just the 11. I don't know who would buy an 11 and not a pro when it's out. Like HELLO common sense for a salesman, speaking in that tense since I am one. We had to exchange it for his mistakes and he charged us $50.00 for a restock fee for his accident. Then the manager Jennifer rolled her eyes to keep going to the back to get the correct items since they were closing. Needless to say go to any other Verizon store because you won't get overcharged or the wrong information and have to pay for it after. I called the otter box glass protection because Ryan said in order to get them to file a claim to get a new screen protector, i have to register it first. When i called otter box they said there is no such thing and I didn't even need to buy another one. So Ryan if i could give you zero stars, I would. However, if i ever even go back to this store EVER you will definitely be hearing some words from me. So paid 50$ for your mistake and a screen protector i didn't even need so another $50. Extremely quick and helpful service! I went in to get a new phone and was told I had a free upgrade to the iPhone 5c. Awesome. We got everything worked out, adding my name as an authorized user on the plan (because I'm still on my parents' plan). And the guy told me that by upgrading we would no longer have unlimited data. I said I knew that and that was fine. I wanted to go ahead and upgrade. But I when the plan changed, the data I had already used this month would go towards the limited data and I had already exceeded my limit. He tried to find better data packages for me so I didn't go over. Couldn't, so he put the phone aside for me, and said to come in when the billing cycle ended (which luckily was only 5 days). TLDR: they did everything they could to get me the plan I needed and make things easier and cheaper for me. read more

Zero help and employee was a little confrontational about the "issue" with my one day old phone. I took it to the Bunker Hill location and received excellent service and they RESOLVED MY ISSUE. In my experience I most of my visits to Verizon stores are like going to a used car dealership with a few exceptions. I was in the store for no more than five minutes and this was the worst. I only take the time to write reviews when i believe it is deserved. I decided that i was fed up with ATT wireless service and my girlfriend suggested that we combine plans. Perfect timing seeing that my contract was up and i was interested in the iPhone 6. Anyhow, we went to the Verizon wireless store off Heights blvd and that's where we met Ryan. Let me just begun by saying that you do not find dedicated and professional employees like Ryan these days. He was very informative and he took the time to educate us on all the deals that Verizon was running. He brought out his calculator and worked it down all the way to the tax on how much our bill would be. He didn't stop there. While i waited on my phone to arrive from back order, he kept me in the loop of the latest deals and he updated our account and we are saving $20/ month. He also took the time to give us his # so we could text him with any questions and he has to this date kept up with us on new deals. This guy has management written all over him. If they could only promote the guy on teaching others how to know their job and how to treat their customers. I am happy that we switched and he is now helping us with adding my father to the account. If you want great service then i insist you go visit Ryan. You won't regret it! George read more

I am happy with my service and phone when I am in the states. If you ever plan on traveling internationally, do not get a Verizon plan. It costs an arm and a leg to use your phone overseas because they do not have towers overseas (about $500 for 2 weeks, even with an international plan. The cost of data overseas is a JOKE). Every other carrier has towers overseas and are cheap, if not free. If you are staying in the u.s.a. then Verizon would be a fine choice. When I went to ask about traveling overseas, I was handed off to a 1800 number that was voice automated and very frustrating. read more

The Verizon store on Yale St in the Heights is where I go because its closest to me and the staff seems to always be well informed and very helpful. I came in last weekend and had a bit of a hiccup when trying to upgrade to the new iphone 6. I was very disappointed to find out that Verizon makes you wait 30 days after paying off your old plan to be able to upgrade. The manager of Duty, Curtis, went above and beyond to make this right.
