I have been a Verizon Wireless customer since 2004 when I worked at Western Digital. While there our Verizon Tech Guy took care of all our customer service needs [technical problems, phone upgrades, etc.] so I never had to deal with going to a Verizon Store. After leaving WD I had to now find a store to help me. I went to the Verizon Store on El Toro Road in Lake Forest. It was awful and the worst customer service...they are rude and make you wait until they finally assist you. So no more Verizon Store on El Toro Rd. Last week I tried one more time for a Verizon Store in Lake Forest. I found an outlet in Foothill Ranch. The guy was only there for 6 months and after deciding to buy a phone from him he tells me.. sorry we never keep stock in the store. You can pay for it and it will be here in around two days . One hour of talking with him and then find out I cannot get my phone today. That was it, I was done with Verizon Retail Stores. I was going to buy my Verizon phone at Target or Radio Shack. Last Friday, January 2, 2015,I decided to give it one more try, as I preferred to buy the phone at Verizon Store. I called 411 information and the first name they gave me in Irvine was the Verizon Store in the Woodbury Center in Irvine. The guy who answered the phone, John, was pleasant, funny and wasn't try to pressure me to do any upgrades over the phone. I came into the store about 1/2 hour later to meet with John. I wanted the Samsung Galaxy 5 because my friends had just upgraded and they said it was great. I talked to John and he said it was good phone, but I might like the LG/LG3 better. My first Verizon flip phone was an LG and I loved that phone. John spent over 1 hour with me explaining all the features of the LG/LG3. I was still undecided and he said either the Galaxy 5 or LG3 were great phones. I finally decided on the LG3 as the battery and the camera were a bit better than the Galaxy5 and I liked all the features on the LG3. I was very excited about my new LG/LG3 . John was also able to give me some discounts on the accessories and also took the time to explain the new insurance coverage I would be getting. I came in with my old phone the Motorola Droid which was a terrible phone which I had for 4 years and left with this great new phone the LG/LG3. I was ready to give up on the Verizon Retail Stores....then along came John at the Woodbury Store in Irvine. He was helpful, pleasant, and TOTALLY kowledgeable about all the Verizon phones, accessories and the operating of the phone itself. He told me to come back as many times as I needed if I had any questions about the features on the phone and how to use them, insurance or anything else to do with my new phone. John is an AWESOME Verizon Employee and I hope he is appreciated by Verizon. I now have a Verizon store to come to with someone I know will always be glad to help me. I took John's business cards and will give them out to my friends when then are looking for a Verizon Retail store to buy a phone, upgrade their phone or to purchase accessories. GREAT EXPERIENCE and "BIG" kudos to John. What a pleasant and fun experience it was working with John. Everyone at this location is so nice and so very friendly. Personally I just moved to Woodburry and having to wait in line at the Spectrum or Tustin Market Place was not an option. So I swallowed my pride and decided to visit a *Dramatic Sounds* a Premium Retailer (Aka a non corporate store) and Honestly it wasnt that bad. I came in because my Incredible front facing camera wasn't working. The Rep Bryan. Was so kind in "Trying" to fix the camera, but at the end of the day the phone was just done. Luckily I had a couple upgrades on my account, which I had been postponing since I have UNLIMITED DATA (Not to mention every Corporate store has been trying to convince me to upgrade and settle for 2gb). Bryan I'm not 100% sure how he pulled it off because he explained it 4different times and I still didnt understand. But he managed to keep it. He also was able to give me 20%off on my accessories. I really don't like writting reviews, but I can recognize great work ethic. He had a rush while I was there, and he managed to juggle me and two customers and still had a smile on his face (Even though there was one real douche of a customer there). Overall Bryan closed the sale with his Business line number and his personal number and says he can answer any questions at any time. I was recently visiting some family in California, when my cousin and I got into a conversation regarding our cell phone services. He kept trying to tell me how Verizon has the best wireless service and customer support out there, and I was stuck on my cell phone carrier. Well, he finally persuaded me to check out the Verizon store out there just to get some more information. I was greeted by a young, handsome gentleman named John. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. He was able to answer all of my questions without doing much research. I could tell this guy knew what he was talking about. He was very polite, and was able help other customers while taking care of us. I was in and out of the store withing fifteen minutes, and must say I am very satisfied with the information I received. Though Verizon is about the same price as my cell phone carrier, I learned that I can receive a discount through my employer and sign up for a family plan at a cheaper rate. The service in there is much better than any service I've received in the past, and after receiving the information I did, I am planning on switching my cell phone carrier to Verizon! I've been a loyal Verizon Wireless customer for over 23 years, but my experience at this location was incredibly disappointing. I received an email saying, "Your order's ready for pickup," and went to this store to pick up two iPhones. The entire process took about 45 minutes -- around 20 minutes of waiting and another 25 minutes just to complete the pickup process. This is something that used to take less than 5 minutes at a corporate Verizon store. The staff was rude and unprofessional. No apologies for the long delay -- they just kept repeating "keep the patience," which came off as dismissive and unhelpful. What should've been a simple pickup turned into a frustrating, drawn-out experience. To make matters worse, the iPhone boxes had messy handwritten markings on them, including the store's own inventory numbers and receiving dates. It looked sloppy and completely ruined the excitement of unboxing a brand new iPhone. I will never be returning to this location again. read more

Had just purchased 5 more iPADS for our business and needed to activate them, open a new / additional account, etc. Walked in and got great service from Ahmed. GREAT! He went far far over what I expected. Remember, I had bought all the equipment online so I was not a major source of store revenue! Just cannot say how impressive the service was. While I love VZW, previous in-store experiences with them were not quite as pleasant as going to the DMV...for a root canal. 2 weeks later, I needed to come in again for another matter. Ahmed came from behind the counter, greeted me in the middle of the store...by name. As carriers consolidate, coverages get better, devices become smarter, about the only thing that is variable is personal service! What a treat to have GREAT service here, and this store has already become my go-to spot for all my needs. read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Evan at Verizon Woodbury Town Center, and I can't say enough good things about him. I was having a difficult time transferring my consumer lines to my business account, and Verizon customer support was not helpful at all, just keeping us waiting on the phone for two hours with no resolution! Evan patiently took the time to understand the issue and worked diligently to fix it all by himself. His dedication and patience were truly impressive. this is by far the greatest store!!! I went in to purchase a new charger and ended up reworking my Verizon plan due to overages on data as well as a new iPhone and iPad with all the needed accessories. Simply because they were very helpful, kind and professional, the entire staff. I worked mostly with Danny but Ahmed and Anthony did not hesitate to offer their assistance. Ahmed even went out of his way to help get all things setup and transferred then dropped the phone off to me at dinner so we could get there before the restaurant closed. I was in town for a very important conference and my phone for some reason decided to not want to work. I was lucky enough to walk in to one of the best wireless stores I have ever been in and I am from the midwest. I was helped by a worker named John who displayed great customer services and proved himself to be very knowledgable on the product.... I felt so much better after having the help of John. Great customer service! Amanda helped me and she was great. I had an issue with my phone battery she was extremely helpful. I ended up getting a new phone because she recommended i do that instead of paying $40 bucks for a battery on an old phone. I was new to the smartphone thing as well, which she was very patient and helpful in setting up my new phone. Best experience I've had at a verizon store and I hardly had to wait. Wow what a great experience. The two sales reps, well I think one was the manager, he had blonde hair and glasses fyi! I came in looking for an iphone 5 and came out with an Samsung Galaxy S3 and I coun't be any happier with it! They were really patient with me, event though I'm not the best with technology. They actually spent almost an hour just teaching me how to use the phone!!!! I would definitely come back and reccomend all my friends and family to come here instead of the over crowed and understaffed Verizon stores in Irvine! :) :P read more

The manager John seemed nice at first, but I couldn't get over his body odor! it was like a mix of onions and indian curry. So bizarre.
