Find a store that cares about its customers. Not here. I purchased a new Samsung edge. Phone has been locking up since I got it and now it's unbearable and I had to make time to get to store. Instead of giving me a new phone for a replacement. They want to send me a rebuilt phone. If it was a year old even if it was 3 months old I would be OK with that but not this soon. This was my first time at this location and the solution specialist, Arsanios took really good care of me. I was very upset because my one year old Nexus 6P randomly died out on me the day before and the manufacturer, Huawei said they weren't going to take care of fixing it. I had to look for new phones and I was trying to decide between the iPhone and the newest Google phone, the Pixel 2 XL. After talking to Arsanios, he guided me through the best plan for me and how much it would all work out to be. He was very patient in hearing out our concerns and answering any questions. read more

Last night my phone was stolen. After a calling Verizon I got a new phone ordered and sent to the La Quinta store. I was greeted at the door by the general manager, and my tech was Kalen. Kalen was very empathetic to my situation and explained the process completely. He helped me set up my phone and transfer data from the cloud. Although there was a line as the store opened, they were all efficient in taking care of each customer. Thanks to each of you...and to Kalen. Excellent job...and amazing customer service! read more

I bought a Verizon prepaid phone from Walmart. I took the SIM card out of the phone, and put it in another phone. Bad idea. It flagged that SIM card. I called Verizon prepaid, and they said simply go into a Verizon Corp store, and they'll give you a new sim. Not so simple. Mitchell Clor, manager at this store, decided to do his part to help America by restricting privacy one account at a time. They asked to see my license to verify the account. I told them, I did not purchase the phone at Walmart with my ID, and it was not on the account, and proceed to tell me, it's against the law to purchase a phone without showing your driver license. I told them I access the account with the phone number and the passcode. They told me if I couldn't show my driver license, they had the right to refuse to offer me service. Which they proceed to do, and told me to leave the store. read more

Not sure we have ever been treated quite as rudely or dismissively as we were within the first two seconds of dealing with a saleswoman at this location, named Liz. This young, heavily-tattooed woman was clearly not happy to be there, and angry about something that could not have had anything to do with us (yet! We just got there) but she dropped with disdain as she took it out on us. "Rude" is an inadequate word for the way this young lady behaved right off the bat. She hadn't even given us time to piss her off yet. Later we both felt there was ageism involved. In the moment we immediately complained and asked to be helped by someone else. bo way we're gonna hand over nearly $4000 worth of new phones to someone as poorly raised and trained as this, Liz. I had the quite the experience in this Verizon location today. I came in with my grandpa who is by no means an easy customer to deal with for he has just suffered a stroke, but nonetheless a customer paying for service through Verizon and deserves the same respect as any other customer. Kareem was extremely disrespectful and after my grandfather asked him one single question, he literally walked away from my grandpa and I and said "I won't be helping you. I'll find someone else for you". And we weren't helped for quite a while... until Kalen came in and literally saved the day... I was about to walk out of this location due to the amount of disrespect we had dealt with up to this point. Kalen literally answered every question with detail, patience, and gave all of the information my grandfather asked of him to his best ability. Kalen deserves a raise, and Kareem lacks every quality necessary for customer service, and quite frankly should work someplace where others aren't subject to his arrogant, selfish attitude that he exudes in the workplace. My I phone was on life supports after many years of faithful service. I needed a new phone! 3days/several hours/and mulitple phone calls and internet chats, I ordered and managed to pay for the phone. I got all the accessories, the model, and color I wanted, and after several attempts even managed to get an appointment to pick it up at the Rancho Mirage Verizon store. I say several attempts, because they do not answer their own phone, "Isn't it ironic" (sic). My appointment time arrives (I'm 5 mins early). The sign says wait here for service. Here being the hot sidewalk in a 100+ degree ttemp. I told him I was here to pick iup my new phone and was told the store was at capacity. He could get my new phone but that was all, "but I have an appointment I say". "We do not touch phones because of this covid thing" said the rude man that left me on the hot sidewalk. I few moments latter he appears with a paper bag, "you want your phone?" "But I need some help setting it up." He, "we don't touch phones". Even though I could clearly see through the windows at service people touching phones. I am 60+ years old, have arthritis in my hands, and by nooo means a techno wiz. My chief complaint is that they are using a National Pandemic as an excuse for rude and lousy service. The phone in question came from their back room, was in a stapled paper bag, still in the original packaging, and with the plastic wrapping still intact. I fail to see were covid-19 plays a role in this. I am pretty sure any virus was long gone after the phone's lengthy voyage from China. I would recommend the Palm Springs store, the staff is friendly or maybe Palm Desert (I haven't been there). I think if I had not already paid for the phone online, which was to ensure model, color, accessories, etc. I may have gotten better service. I consider a phone carrier and it's representatives as a public utility, similar to the cable company. You know to sign in and wait your turn or if you're lucky make an appointment. Using a National Pandemic as an excuse for lazy or greedy reasons is outrageous. Don't shop the Rancho Mirage Verizon store. read more

Went to the store for help applying a uniform service discount because the website as been giving me trouble. Mind you I have been turned away by an "authorized retailer" cause I have to go to a "corporate store" and I don't feel comfortable sending my pay slip over email. Someone meets me at the door, I tell him my issue, and he says the store isn't open to help me with my issue (even though the store is open for service) and I need to go to the website. I tell him again that I'm having problems with the website and he TELLS me to take out my phone. And I tell him one last time the website is working to apply it the way I need. Then I walk away before I get too frustrated and he starts spouting the URL for the website. Between this, several phone line issues, and your company taking almost 6 months to cancel a FIOS account cause I moved I'm pretty feed up. I don't know why I switched from T-Mobile. read more

The 5 star rating is for Brenda, who was transferred to this location from Beaumont. After reading the reviews here it seems she is needed! She has been absolutely terrific in assisting me with Verizon cell service since I moved to Beaumont in 2009. That included finding me affordable plans and phone upgrades while being sensitive to my budget requirements. Recently, my on-line "My Verizon" account was hacked. Thieves used it to purchase go-pro cameras and change my plan after they replaced my address with their own. I called the Beaumont store right away when I discovered my bill had increased by 1100 + dollars. That was when I learned Brenda was assigned to La Quinta. The manager at Beaumont could barely give me the time of day. So I called Brenda and, as is her usual thorough manner, she provided me with support and the procedure to rectify the matter. Today, I learned about the plan change and I knew if I called the Beaumont location they'd just tell me to call customer service. Brenda was willing to research why the plan had been changed and assist me to give me a plan that I could afford. (When I visited the Beaumont location to get a copy of my bill to give to the PD, I asked for the manager because I knew he'd be the only one with the authority to provide me that essential documentation. I had to ask twice for him to assist me. That wouldn't have been my experience with Brenda.) So, Verizon needs to promote her and let her hire people who share her work ethic. Meanwhile, I will make the drive to the La Quinta location for her to assist me the next time I upgrade my cell phone. read more

I have been a customer before Verizon was verizon, when it was Air Touch. Needless to say, I have purchased more phones than I can remember for myself n family over the last 20 years under the same name. Today I came in to possibly upgrade my phone. I was asked 4 my license and when it did not match my account name? Salesperson David called Verizon customer service saying my license didn't match my account. I do appreciate the fact they're trying to protect my account. I had to speak on the phone with customer service telling me that I need to change my last name on account. I DIDN'T WANT TO CHANGE MY NAME! Verizon has had no problem the last 20 years accepting my monthly payment, upgrades I've made buying new phones. After 15 minutes on phone with Verizon customer service( feeling accused like I was a fraud/ thief)? I was finally cleared to go with salesman to get info on upgrade. There was no apology from him about inconvenience, he did nothing to explain new company policies. Needless to say, I left so disgusted by the way I was treated, that I'll die with this phone before I ever go into Verizon again for any upgrade. I'm beyond disappointed and disgusted with my treatment today. Shady, shady, shady. By the way, I loved Verizon before this experience. I had a new HTC and it was essentially bricked, but I had Total Equipment Coverage insurance on it. Went in and was told there was a replacement at a neighboring store. It was shipped and when I picked it up, the phone had already been unboxed. I should have refused the phone (in hindsight), but ended taking the phone. I went to Rite Aid down the street and noticed a scratch on the screen! I immediately went back to the store and the store employee said there was probably nothing they could do. What the **** ?!! After insisting over and over that this was not my fault, and going back and forth with her on how this was unacceptable, she said she would ask her manager. Luckily, the manager decided to replace the replacement phone. I had a horrible feeling after this entire experience. If I hadn't become irate, Verizon would have given me a scratched phone as a replacement through my insurance. read more

I went in there because one of my accessories stopped working after only a month and the staff was rude and refused to exchange my accessory device even though it was under warranty. This is the worst Verizon store I've been at. Terrible customer service takes forever. If you buy a phone at this location beware. They won't spell all the details out to you and if it's the wrong phone and you bring it back within 5 minutes seriously 5 minutes they try to slam you with a restock fee which they won't explain properly and charge you for additional fees on the phone that they should have given you in the first place. I want to let everyone know that the Verizon store in la Quinta is not a good store to go n getting your phones or tablets I had gone last week to go exchange my phone n was only told to pay the restocking fee witch I was ok with once I did that they hit me with a upgrade fee had shouldn't had no reason to being there knowing this was a brand new line with an exchange only once I asked the person in. Don't go with Verizon in the desert unless you want horrible phone issues. Calls don't come in, people say I sound like I'm underwater and this is at my house and office. In town, I can sit across the table from my husband who has AT&T and not even get on the Internet while he has no issues. The LT never works. I took the iphone to Apple who ran a diagnostic and they said, the phone is always searching for signal and running down my battery. The guy there said he had been a service tech for AT&T and can tell me for a fact that they don't have enough towers in this area of La Quinta. I got an iPad from them too. Same issues. They both are basically useless without wifi. The point is to have cellular service. So I have contacted customer service and they said they would let me out of my contract if I file a report and they confirm these issues. I've spent over 5 hrs on separate occasions to fill out reports and twice with a supervisor but every single time, I get a follow up call saying the report was done incorrectly and I need to call back and file another report. Talk about a run around! Bottom line: I need a phone that works. $450. to cancel my contract! What makes me so infuriated is that the AT&T phone my husband has always has service- no issues at all while I sit and stare at a spinning wheel. I. Going to make one more attempt to get out of this service and if I'm charged, I'm filing a lawsuit for non performance. Don't sign up with them! read more

Worst customer service I've had in years. Walked in with a new contract for a Verizon Apple Iphone 7plus, and after 3 hours of rude, could care less service (including from the manager), and being told I should call their tech support (while still in the store), then being switched to 3 different departments and after 20 minutes of waiting on hold (still in the store) being switched to "customer service", they hung up on me!!! I'd been calm and polite the whole time, but that was it. I cancelled the contract and walked out. I've been a Verizon customer for over 10 years, paid them well over 10,000 over the years, but this is not the Verizon it used to be. I'm cancelling the rest of my Verizon service as well. read more

It's a shame it's the only corporate store on the east end of the valley, I came in needing an exchange for a phone clip to attach on a belt and it's been over 35-40 minutes just for someone to assist in the exchange. As all the customers are approached by a rep with his iPad as soon as you walk in trying to assist but is completely useless when he has to have someone else do the exchange. Absolutely awful customer service. Absolutely not worth meeting there quota, no decency to let me know how much longer it will be. Seems like they all go in the back room than help there customers out. Best Buy be much faster! read more

Worst Verizon store I been to yet . I have a couple of problems with them . Here is my first problem is that when I purchased a iPhone X I put down a 300$ deposit (to make my monthly payments cheaper ) I receive my cell phone a week later (another story) all is good then I get my bill the following month at full price . I called them and told them why is my bill so high and they told me I never put down 300$! I'm stupid for trusting them and NOT RECEIVING my receipt . I felt betrayed a big company would do this but I figured out my sales rep pocketed my money . I went into the business argued with the man and without my receipt I was out of luck ! My wife was with me and made a bigger scene than me because she was the one who gave me 200$ and I had 100$ . I don't write reviews ever but I thought I had to help out other customers . Don't be stupid like myself and not get a receipt from these guys . I called Verizon they couldn't help me out . My second complaint is that when I asked them if they have iPhone X in stock they said "no" but they would let me know when one comes in . I went a week later to get my wife her phone and they had the iPhone X in stock for her (no pre order or anything ) ! I told them I been waiting a week for mine and they said they were sorry for not calling me sooner but apparently they been in stock for a week . (Which makes no sense) .
