Jason is the coolest and most helpful guy. I've come in contact with a lot of people and this guy knows his stuff on the business end and how the customer is feeling. He will make sure you know what you're getting into and help make you feel comfortable in the world of phones and technology. My girlfriend and I transferred her from att to my plan and got new apple watches. He really did go out of his way and spent a lot of time making sure we were good on our decisions. So I think we found our new Verizon store (just moved to the area recently). Went in for a SIM card for mother-in-law's iPhone visiting from Vietnam. Greeted by Jake, no wait. We put a new SIM in but It didn't work at first as phone was bought in Australia. Jake double verified the IME was compatible with Verizon so we put the SIM in and took a chance. Sure enough, 1/2 hour later iPhone was fully functional. Thank you, Jake, for your insistence that we be patient! All is good. Excellent customer service! read more

Went to this store this weekend to upgrade phones for my whole family, the salesperson Drew was professional and knew what he was talking about. We had an issue with one of the phones (not technical) and the next day the manager Amal went above and beyond to make it right for us. Would totally recommend this store. I went in to the Verizon store today looking to buy a GizmoGadget for our 8 year old son. We were warmly greeted by a gentleman named Wes. After bringing out the watch that we went in for I explained to him that we were currently on an AT&T plan and had been since they were Cingular (so about 19 years) and just never felt the need to switch. Wes was so friendly, so knowledgeable about Verizon and their plans and made our experience there so easy that we ended up switching our family plan over and adding our son and his new GizmoGadget. I have NEVER gotten good customer service from a verizon (except for over the phone with customer service) but this is the first time ive felt a need to complain... it was my 3rd time going into this store trying to remove my line from my stepmoms and put it under my name and also up the data on my service so I can stop being charged overage. Everytime ive gotten a run around saying Id need to be charged a early termination fee (when I was told over the phone I wouldnt) that I would need to wait until my service date in october to get a new phone (even though my early upgrade date was early june so I went to a different store who did it but annoyingly tried to upsell me nonstop) and ive finally had it with this last visit though... I go in on my lunch with a scheduled appointment, but apparently I have to wait in the normal line anyway. Whatever I wasnt irritated by that at first, I wait 10 minutes finally get helped and the lady tells me that I need my stepmom to put a note in the account saying im allowed (even though im an account manager and have full access to the account) whatever... I call my stepmom shes a little irritated because she already spoke with someone in customer service and they said everythings all good for me to do this. Then im standing there waiting for my stepmom to put the note in and the lady has the nerve to ask me to step aside so she could help another guest. At this point im just looking past this half my lunch has gone by and i just want go back to work. 10 more minutes go by and I go back up and stand near the lady thinking shed acknowledge me but she ignores me! No "ill be right with you" or anything! So I just left.. I dont need to stand there and be disrespected like that. About 3 minutes later my stepmom calls me saying that customer service said there was no need for her to put any note in for me to do that! Im already authorized! So the customer service rep put a note in the account for her saying that she was wasting the customers time and how to appropriately transfer me to my own line and account. Greatly appreciated except I had already left and have no want to EVER go back to this store anytime soon. I probably will in another 2 years because its the closest to my house and work. Hopefully they figure out how to hire appropriately for customer service in the store. Working 2 jobs directly in customer service, I know its really not that hard. I went in to activate a replacement (older iPhone 4S) phone provided by Verizon because my 4S battery kept dying with the new IOS software. I was extremely impressed with the look and feel of the store. It was busy, but they had plenty of staff. I was passed to Sarah Roughan | Business Solutions Specialist within 5 minutes and her customer service was some of the best I have experienced at this type of business. She took her time, explained to me what needed to be done, and off I went. Thank you Sarah (and team) for making my experience a good one. I rarely write reviews negative or positive so this is an exception for me. The moment I walked in the Verizon store on El Toro Rd. Lake Forest, I was greeted by Amal their Solutions Manager. I was there to buy the new iPhone 6+. He directed me to one of their professionals, Bree. I say professional because that is exactly what she was! She walked me thru the phones features, transferred the data from my old phone, she was knowledgeable, helped me understand the phone operation and otherwise made me feel I was her only client. Amal was great! He programmed the iPhone to my car without hesitation for which I am truly grateful. Amal is there for the customer! Been a verizon customer for 15+ yrs. Both phones and a IPad had failing batterys, time to get new product. Buy 2 phones, 1 IPad, didnt change numbers, plans, address, names....nothing. Verizon charged me $120 activation Fee! I just took $120 and threw it out the window, got nothing for it, what a scam. David went above & beyond to turn my experience around. While snorkeling my lifeproof case on my Samsung Galaxy S5 was not so lifeproof. Lifeproof expressed to me that because I bought the case at Best Buy instead of at Verizon they would only replace my case that leaked into my phone, but will not replace my phone. So luckily David came to my rescue providing ease, support, & solved the problem. He not only helped me transfer everything from my old phone to new phone! I go in knowing that I am going to have to wait and may not get the customer service that I so wish for...Well, I have to say, today, was the best experience that I have ever had at this Verizon store. Yes, it took some time to get what I wanted, but...the customer service by Azim Ahmad was awesome. He helped me get what I needed and got everything set up to my satisfaction. He didn't treat me like I was some "old lady" that came in without a clue... The funny thing is, I have worked in technology before most of these sales peeps were born and I still work in a technology drive company. To whom it concerns, My family has been Verizon customers loyally 20+ yrs. I can say, I seldom have an experience in any retail arena where I feel any genuine concern for my needs except when making an expensive upgrade, adding new phone lines, buying things I do not need. Pushy sales people that refer me to your automated phone service or web site. never having patience for my Korean mother who pays multiple Verizon monthly invoices never complaining about your data charged, roaming, whatever the monthly issue is. Today we had our best retail salesperson experience ever. Lauren at you Lake Forest location on el Toro road. Changed my opinion my attitude expectations. I can say my mother who is a hard sell. usually saying "No thank you." before anyone can offer help. Noticed something different about Lauren. The genuine concert, kindness and patience she showed my impatient Korean mother. The product knowledge and technology solutions she with care explaining at a comfortable kind what never making my mother feel uncomfortable took her time not selling but teaching her and I about useful features. I have never seen my mother so content and happy. Lauren could of sold us anything. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Phil and Lisa the manager are rude and unprofessional! Went into the store today and wanted to see about upgrading my phone since I had been receiving notices from Verizon that I was eligible. I have been a Verizon customer since forever and the process to upgrade has been relatively simple each time. I pay the tax and upgrade fee upfront then pay for the device monthly. I spoke with Phil and told him that I was willing to pay for the tax and the upgrade fee for a new phone but nothing more. He said that since I was turning in my current phone I would be getting a credit that would cover the residual cost of my old phone so getting into a new phone wouldn't be a problem. I was there for an hour. Once he took my screen protector off my phone he then told me that the system wasn't letting him process the request and that I would have to give them $479.00 which I would get back on a gift card right away to put toward a new phone! I am not sure what part of I only want to pay the tax and upgrade fee he didn't understand. Now I have my phone which is in excellent condition with no screen cover. My screen cover was cracked and that is why the actual screen wasn't cracked! If I am going to spend a lot of money on a phone I am going to invest in protecting it. The manager Lisa comes over and asks what it is I want from her? Is she kidding!!! I want a screen protector that's integrity hasn't been compromised by your employee who took it off before he knew he could give me a new phone and now wants to put the old one back on. I didn't know screen protectors were made to be put on and removed and reused. My screen protector was cracked but really for all of the inconvenience and time wasted you couldn't have given me a new one? WOW! Customer service at it's worst!!! I walked out of the store and called Verizon immediately. They said that I was absolutely eligible for a new phone and that they would wave the $30.00 upgrade fee and credit my bill for my wasted time and poor treatment at the Lake Forest store. I went to the Laguna Niguel store and was in and out in 20 minutes with a new phone in hand. I even got an ipad for my mom. I was informed at the Laguna Niguel location that I was the second person that had complained about Lisa, the manager of the Lake Forest store, at THEIR store today. Save yourself time and energy drive the extra distance to go to the Laguna Niguel store. Much more knowledgeable, better selection and great customer service! read more

I had a horrible experience at this location and will never return. I had my representative Gabriel from the RSM location call this location to see if they had a Pill-speaker in stock since RSM was out. The manager, Guillermo informed my rep that he had one in stock and to send me over. When I arrived I spoke immediately with Guillermo who which was greeting customers. Guillermo said to wait till an available representative was available. He never took my name nor did he put me on a list which was concerning. After Guillermo, the manager sold a phone to a customer, he returned back to the front to greet more entries. So I asked if he could simply trade my pill speaker for a new one he said he had and I could be on my way. Again, told me to wait and that his job was making sure everyone had there turn. After 1/2 hour a rep named Betty became available. She informed me that they were out of them and I could go to the Irvine location where they showed several in stock. I called the Manager and he sent Betty to the back where he said they were. When she came back up front she told me and the manager that they were out of them. The manager then proceeded to throw Gabriel from the RSM location under the bus informing me that he informed him that the never had any and just told him to have me come over there. My question to him was "why would I come all the way over here for nothing"? By now, I asked for him to call Gabriel on the phone to verify the conversation and he refused several times and never called. By this point I insisted that Betty send me one FEDEX the following week. By this point I was extremely aggravated and ripped into this manager about his inability to manage a store and to be honest with customers. He replied that I was "getting all agro" at him for which I informed him that I was the customer. Maybe he thought that I would purchase something once at this location. Minutes later somehow Betty after looking through a new shipment found a speaker that I could exchange and I was on my way. If this is the treatment that you think you deserve, then go to the Lake Forest location on El Toro where the manager will give you lip. BTW, Betty was very helpful and never lost her demeanor. MAKE SURE YOU GET A RECIEPT. Made a $395 payment and never recieved a reciept. Made the payment on 7/15/2013 and they say I never paid it. I have been in there 9 times now after dealing with 3 managers and calling the Distric Manager (still haven't recieved a phone call after 6 weeks of them telling me that they would call me), telling them to check the cameras and they said that it was a "process". 6 weeks later they still cant figure out how to check the cameras to see their employee accepting $400 "CASH" and handing me back a $5 bill. Pissed and ready to take them to court over this. Kinda hard to run a business when your phones are getting turned off because they are saying that you never paid, when you go in there atleast 2-3 times a week and they say that everything is going to be OK, and that your phone are not going to get turned off. I even did a complaint online with Verizon Wireless to let them know what happend with no responce. Filing a complaint with the Attorney Generals office right now and the BBB.org as soon as I am done typing this. Seem's like a scam to me. I would type the employees' name but this will get flagged so I won't. Every time I go in there and look for him (keep in mind it has been 9 times), they tell me he is not working, or on vacation. The last manager told me that he was protecting his employee. I HOPE SOMEONE THAT WORKS FOR VERIZON WIRELESS MANAGEMENT SEE THIS AND CALLS ME. These people are the biggest idiots ever! I went to this store to drop one of the four lines from my family plan which was out of contract already. Simple enough, you would think. However, the idiot that was assigned to my case wasted more than an hour and half and couldn't do any math correctly and kept showing me outrageous bills. He assured me that the correct number will show up on my next bill so I left the store. Sure enough, my monthly bill came out to be $478 for a family plan of three lines. I have been coming to this location since they opened it up about 2 years ago and every single time I have had great service. Up until very recently I have never had issue with the wireless service and until very recently I never had issues with their Broadband. In October 2010 I signed up for the MiFi, absolutely the worst POS I have ever had as far as Internet service provider. This little device dropped, stopped, froze, and just plain never worked properly from the day I bought it. I finally got fed up enough with the constant soft and hard reboots that I went to this store and stated my displeasure, Well I was pleasantly surprised that I was given NO push back and ended leaving with with two of the new 4g wireless broadband devices, which work amazingly well, in fact they work and fast as well as my last employers Fios lines. We have had cell service with Verizon, (as well as all the past companies that were eaten up one by one until Verizon bought them), for the past 15 years and have NEVER had an issue with them. This specific retail store is run right and should, as another reviewer pointed out, be the example of what their stores be run like. We have never had issue that could not be resolved and benefited both parties in the end. If you need to visit a 'Mortar and Brick' Verizon location in South County, this IS the location for all your wireless needs. read more

I can't stand Verizon. I have been with them for years, but recently left. I bought an LG phone just over a year ago. I always go way past my upgrade dates as my phones have always lasted in the past. My LG completely died. I tried everything to get it started. I took it to this location. The young man who helped me kept trying to start it because he said he had to "duplicate" the problem. I told him he was duplicating the problem - it won't work! Come to find out the LG's have had software issues. I went round and around with him because I needed to purchase a new phone since my upgrade date was still another year off. I asked for the manager. The clerk went to the back room (and why are they always in the back room!?) to get the manager, Mook or Mo, or something like that. The clerk comes back to tell me the manager said there is nothing they can do. Poor customer service. Even if there is nothing, the manager should have still come out. I left the store with my broken phone, signed up with T-Mobile with a great plan and they are paying off my 2 phones from Verizon! On a side note, calling Verizon customer service is a complete nightmare. I had to call 3 times in one day and each person told me entirely different things. MUST READ! My father and step mother (both 80 years old) went to this location to get my father a flip phone after losing his. They are on a fixed income and cannot afford to increase their monthly bill. They were approached by an ambitious salesman who presented two tablets as "gifts". They reluctantly accepted the offer. However after receiving their first bill since the transaction their bill was over $400. Since it was past the 14 day period (2 days) Verizon refused to take back the tablets. This despite they were never taken out of the box. I was on the phone with the Manager and corporate explaining the situation for nearly 3 hours without resolution. In fact, they are charging my parents $175 per device for early termination. At the end of the day this will cost them over $600 for a supposed free gift. I could go on and on. Bottom line the salespeople have no morals and misrepresent their product to boost their sales to vulnerable people. I am asking all my friends and family to go off Verizon for another wireless carrier. I would ask all reading this not to choose this location for shopping.. if so be on guard. Taking advantage of seniors is no way to provide for your family. I am so disgusted with Verizon and this store. read more

Such an odd experience. First off, I just needed to upgrade my phone and it took about as long as it would to buy a car! And it feels like you're getting ripped off like you're buying one. I wasn't quite eligible for an upgrade but they offered to take my iPhone 5S for and then finance the Iphone 6 over two years. SO, wait, you're gonna keep my phone, give me nothing for it and then finance a phone at full pop? That felt really good. LOL It took three long hours where there was one foul up after another. Their associates are not trained and so they made mistakes right and left and then told me it was going to take another thirty minutes so I left the store (old phone in hand) and they forgot to tell me that it wouldn't work while I was gone. Alas, I come back and the sales rep kept talking and talking about how he knew I was in a hurry and had to pick up my kids. Then he forgot to give me a receipt and I had to go back in. Weirdest of all, the guy put my personal phone number in his phone and texted me later to make sure all was okay. I don't want a sales rep to have my phone number! I joked to my husband that I wonder if they'd do this if I were Jennifer Aniston or someone like that. Is there no privacy these days? read more

After going to AT &T and having THE WORST experience, my hubs and I went to Verizon to see if I was eligible for an upgrade. We went in and after putting our name on the list we were greeted by Tyler who told me that I was in fact eligible. Great! While I was deciding what phone I wanted, my husband talked to him about what it would cost to switch him over to my account on Verizon. Tyler was great at explaining everything and made the decision so easy. We then called my mother and sister in law and told them how easy it would be for them and they ended up coming in and switching to a new account with them too! Tyler spent probably close to 2 hours with us and was so patient the whole time. Thank you Tyler for your kindness and patience and just plain realness. This Verizon store was by far the WORST customer service I have ever encountered anywhere. I was looking to get my phone troubleshooted because it wouldn't turn on. When I walk in, the woman at the front (forgot her name) was immediately rude to me. Because I was out of warranty and my insurance wasn't "theirs," she immediately turned me away and said there was nothing she could do. I asked what options I had and she simply said "none." I asked her if she could try to turn it on and she blatantly replied, "Sorry, I have carpal tunnel." I then asked to speak to her manager, and as the woman was explaining my situation to the manager, they both were LAUGHING in front of my face. My experience with this Verizon store made me want to drop Verizon as a carrier, altogether.
