DO NOT GO HERE.... They take advantage of senior's bad customer service up sell from hell...... Been a Verizon customer 20 yrs. Never had a problem until we walked into this store, and you know why ? This is not a corporate store.... Yeah, who knew the difference but if you go here, you will, ... We had a free upgrade so off we go to the Verizon store. We had to wait one month for the phone; they charged us $30 dollars to swap over the phone (yes in addition to the "one time activation fee") then charged us $152 for the sales tax in the phone. We have never been charged up front for those it was always added to our bill ???? on top of that the people who work here are rude and demeaning i honestly will never not go to a corporate store ever again what a freaking nightmare, And the worst of it to me is taking advantage of seniors how despicable . read more

What the reps did at this store is borderline criminal. We've been with Verizon over 20 years. Went in during holidays with my kids for the promotions they were running to get new phones. Was told by Hunter that to get new devices, we'd have to upgrade our plans and it would be $10 more per line per month to get new iPhones for free. We agreed that would be ok. Walk out of store and not too long after, we check the billing and of course it was a bunch of lies we were told. Plan prices actually went up by $30 per line per month since they added on a bunch of services that Hunter didn't disclose. Went back to store and another rep supposedly straightened everything out (refused to talk with Hunter again because he flat out lied). But wait... that 2nd visit didn't work either. Had to call the 800 customer service line 3 times after to complain. Supposedly straightened out, right? NO! Yesterday, got an email that stated we would not be getting the devices for free and would be charged. Went to store, again, and another rep was a total boob and didn't care (shocker). Said we had to call 800 number again. 800 number rep supposedly straightened out but we'll see. Very disappointed with Verizon for this situation. Totally unacceptable how we were lied to and treated. I would be extremely careful going with them for any services. Btw Verizon, don't respond to this and tell me you're sorry. Your words don't do anything to fix problems your valued customers have with your business. Fix the problems, then I'll believe you care. read more

My husband needed help transferring his information from phone to phone. I told him NOT to go to this store but he did anyway. They charged him 29.00 to do this when it should have been done at no charge, and the guy actually screwed it up to where the little information that had been transferred disappeared. He then asked for his money back and was told they couldn't do that. He left before he made a scene. They are lucky I wasn't there. It's only 29 dollars, but that's not the point. This store is a joke it's a Sunday they have two people helping customers and one guy just putting your name on a ipad at the door No seats! So my saga began when the Verizon store at 8750 S. McClintock Dr. in Tempe AZ sold me the internet and box saying it absolutely worked in my area of NE Mesa. Well it did not, he wanted to make the sale. When I tried to return the unit, I took it to the Verizon store closest to me at 2733 N. Power Rd. Mesa to be told I cannot return it to that store because they are not a corporate store, even though there is no way to know that unless you ask as they all look the same. So I took it to the nearest Corporate Verizon Store they told me about which was this one at 3130 N. Recker Rd. Mesa. In this store the sales associate explained to me that you cannot return the units to the store but they have to order packaging and labeling to be sent to my house in under 2 weeks and I just mail it in. They were supposed to cancel my service. Well I waited and waited but the packaging/label never came. In the meantime I went on a long trip and when I returned found I had a bill for 215.00 for the unit and a month of service. I never used it. I went back to the same store asking for help to be told by the manager I had to call Verizon myself and they were closing in 20 mins. By this time I was so frustrated because anyone knows when you call verizon you're stuck for an hour on the phone so I told him fine, I will call from there and he would have to remove me from the store physically unless I got this resolved. He said "fine" and just looked at me. Luckily I finally was connected with the first Customer Service Rep I've ever received help from. I asked for her name and she said she couldn't send it to me but gave me her first name, Odie. She was kind, understanding and took care of my issue completely. She's a diamond in the rough of Verizon. The most frustrating part about all of this is when dealing with that manager at the Recker Store, he said I can give you a label and you just put it on the box and mail it. When I asked why his employee did not tell me that, I received another look and "I don't know". WTH. If Verizon did not have the monopoly on cell phone service I'd change in a heartbeat and Ive been with them since the beginning. read more

Their customer service representative was not only rude and dismissive, but making comments about the waste & abuse its store caused which were directly contradictory to Verizon employees' own code of conduct and Verizon's obligations to its shareholders, banks, government & regulatory agencies. I've been to a few verizon stores and they have all been great until I went to the one by longbow and i am astonished that the women who I had the displeasure of meeting even got a job there. She checked me in and the second I walked into the store she immediately rolled her eyes at me. I wish I got her name but the two other customers she was talking to seemed actually scared of her. I heard over and over again "so what would you like me to do about it" while they asked her very legitimate questions that she should know. She was incredibly rude to me as well and completely ignored me while I was trying to trade in my phone even though she was not doing anything and just standing around after the other 2 customers had left. Mind you the store was not busy in the slightest, maybe 3 people, and she looked and sounded like every time a customer asked her a question it was the end of the world. While looking through these other one star reviews about the staff I can say without a doubt they are about her. The other two men were very nice but they were actually doing things so she was the only one who could help. When I was finally able to give her my old phone that I traded in for the 16 pro, she looks at the box with my phone in it (i didn't want it to break while transporting it) and she goes "well hurry up take the phone out what am I going to do with the box" then when I asked if she needed my paper trade in receipt she said "why would i need that" (i don't know proof of purchase??) Just incredibly awful experience and i'm incredibly disappointed in the way this store is ran to the point where that is allowed. read more

I just had the best experience ever in this Verizon. I am looking to upgrade my phone and I am considering moving from Android to Apple and I don't know a whole lot about Apple or the transition or really what the best phone is for my needs. Tawnya, the manager, helped me out here. She was SO FANTASTIC. Seriously, I can't sing her praises to a level she deserves. She answered ALL of my inane questions and gave me the breakdown of what to expect. She told me how each phone (X, XS, XR) compares to the other, and explained it in a way I understood. Prior to coming to this location, I stopped at 2 other Verizon stores (which were god-awful) but this store (mainly because of Tawnya) was amazing. When I do upgrade, I'll be coming to this location and asking for her. If you have any Verizon needs, come here and ask for Tawnya. read more

Do not EVER visit this store. The manager has ZERO customer service skills. Slammed the door in my face after I've been waiting at curbside pickup talking to Verizon on the phone. All I said was " I need to ask you a quick question" . They just let me sit there until it was time to close. I have been a Verizon customer for over 17 years and have NEVER seen this kind of customer service. All I wanted was to pick up my elderly mother's router as it was waiting there to be activated. Went into the store to upgrade to an iPhone 11. The first sales person was very unhelpful and responded to my questions by making it seem like I didn't understand the promotional deals or iPhones in general (I've been a super loyal Verizon/iPhone customer for years). Another sales representative, Robert, came to help following me asking for clarification. He explained the promotional deal and confirmed that I was still eligible for the deal. The employee(s) that set up our account last year also created an "incomplete" ghost account under my wife's name. We just received a bill from the collection agency in regards to funds owed from this ghost account. We have never received any notice of fees passed due from Verizon. Employees at this location refused to help and the call hold times were greater than 40 minutes. This company or this location needs a severe overhaul on its customer service training. On 12/29/22 I went into the Verizon location at 3130 N Recker Rd Mesa AZ and was assisted by staff member Cooper. This by far has been the most frustrating, unprofessional encounter that I have ever had with a company. After meeting and going over things with Cooper; the very last page was a 3-year conditional purchase agreement for the phone I was trading in. This was never mentioned at any point prior and conveniently snuck in at the end. When I first began speaking with Cooper, I asked that he be upfront with me and that I did not want any surprises or extended contracts. Cooper's reaction to my disapproval and questioning of this practice was to rudely walk away from the table, to then turn and yell at me across the store. He stated that he had already met his quota for the month but should have sold me a lot more and that he could have thrown me out of the store. I did not appreciate his temper tantrum, his threat of physical violence or his unprofessional attitude. I will never return to this store. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Verizon at Longbow and Verizon in general was extremely dishonest and misleading. I bought 6 iPhones under the promotion of Buy One, Get One Free. I was told that the credit for three of these phones would be accredited to my account. It's been 8 months, I have called into corporate 4 different times, each call being over 1.5 hours, been placed on hold and transferred numerous times, just to have been told that this issue would be resolved and the credit would be applied to my account. 8 months and Verizon still owes me $2250. If you feel like you are getting a good deal and you're about to sign a 12-24month agreement with Verizon, simply don't. Whatever they offer isn't what it seems. read more

The person who appeared to be in charge was arrogant and smug, almost seemed to take pleasure in telling us they couldn't help us at the store. The inability to transact our business in person was not the problem... it was the nasty, condescending attitude of this individual. Fraudulent charges: I purchased a new phone from this store and paid cash at the point of sale. After reviewing the bill, I noticed that a device payment had been added. When I called Verizon Customer Service listed on the bill, they advised that I have to reach out to the store, provide receipts and ask that they remove the charge. Essentially, they are unable to assist. I have called the store various times over the past week and no one answers the phone. If no one picks up the phone it goes to another store which is unable to assist as well. In addition, they charged for Verizon backup and insurance. I declined the insurance and did not request additional Verizon back up. I will never return to a Verizon Authorized Retailer as, this same thing happened at a store around the corner and based on my phone conversation with Verizon Customer Service, this happens all the time. read more

I am not the type of person to walk in before closing, but I assumed they'd be able to hook me up with a new phone within 45 minutes. Wasn't welcomed when I walked in, and when I was helped it was to tell me they can't do anything since I didn't have an appointment or show up before 6pm even though you don't close for 45 min. Instead you're going to sit on your hands and do nothing. Customer service at its finest. I'll drive the extra 10-15 miles next time where I know I can get helped and out of the store within 30 - 40 min. read more

At that time an agent (not this store) missed about half the contacts so I went to get the rest of the contacts transferred this morning. This female agent at this store this morning said to go back home & do it myself as there was a new app to do that. She also said they did not have the "equipment" in the store to do it and additionally said she was "not allowed" to do it. I might add there was not one other customer in the store at this time and she was just standing around doing NOTHING. This is just laziness and ridiculously inappropriate cust service. Can I ask what the deal is with this store? I never have good results, in the last year I have been here 3 times and every experience is poor. The people in this store don't really want to be bothered by any issues you have, if you are early for your appointment they "guess" they can help you even when there are 7 employees inside with no customers. They talk down to you and act like you can't understand there contract agreement because They talk you in circles about the specials they have and you end up confused. Update: I'm lowing my rating. I received the buy one get one free promotion for the Note 9 and the order was cancelled without my knowledge, and there was some verification process they never did in store. I've never experience such terrible service in my life. The promotion is not even running anymore they better honor it or I'm not switching to Verizon. Was expecting the Note 9 today in the mail because that's what I was told would be happening over and over by employees. The whole order process in stores was confusing they had me make the order on my own personal phone, as a new Verizon customer it's not great first impressions. Employees should know what's going on and not make certain expectations to their customers. Phone hasn't even been shipped yet and I made the pre-order two days ago. Please know this review is being written with the intentions of bettering this Verizon store, but my visit was nothing short of awful. I went into this location today in hopes of switching from sprint to Verizon. My iPhone 7 Plus is paid off through sprint, and I was looking for a network with better coverage. On top of that, I heard Verizon gives first responders discount, even better. Before switching networks and hopefully getting the iPhone XR, I had a few concerns. -how much my monthly bill would be. -what I'm going to be paying up front today. -if my current Apple Watch could also be switched to Verizon or if I had to return it to sprint. -what my trade in value is. I met with Junior who was informative and was ready to switch me over. He took all my information down and told me that I wouldn't have to pay anything down up front today, and I would have a $300 credit for my trade in. Great! So he's going through everything on his tablet to make sure my number and everything is switched properly, even takes it upon himself to remove my glass screen protector and case on current phone. Mind you, this is the first phone I have ever paid off 100% before upgrading. My screen protector had a crack in it, but thankfully has protected my phone from getting damaged. Well worth having it. Anyways, I'm about to be set up, then I'm told that all I have to pay today is $200. WHAT! Just a few minutes before I was told nothing down today? And I said ok let's go ahead and switch. Then I'm finding out that I have to pay $200, which I wasn't prepared to pay on this particular day, why I needed to know what information prior to agreeing to switch. I was pissed. I told Junior that I couldn't pay that today and it'd have to wait a week or two. Salespeople blow my mind with the audacity they seem to have sometimes. Junior asks me if I know anyone I can call and they could come over to the store and open an account for me under all of their information.... I'm baffled. For one, it's a Friday afternoon. Everyone's busy. Two, I'm a damn adult and would NEVER ask anyone to do that. Insane. I told him it's just gonna have to wait. So, what really angered me, and now is preventing Verizon from gaining a new customer, is that Junior took my expensive, and well worth it, screen protector that is now spidered since it's glass and useless. Before I leave, I ask him about replacing that. He says that's not possible. Thanks to that screen protector, my phone is damage free after over 2 years, something my clumsy ass never could've done without it. I ask him if my trade in credit would stay the same if I drop my phone it cracks in the next week or two because he decided to remove it before he knew what the hell he was talking about. He says that it would decrease my trade in value by half! Even had the balls to give me my application number and his business card for whenever I'm able to come back.
