My phone wouldn't keep a charge and because I had insurance he replaced it. So easy. We took up over an hour of his time but he made it seem like we were the only people in the store. I had a very disappointing experience at the Verizon store in Montclair Mall. The sales representative convinced me to add an iPad to my account, telling me it would only cost $7 per month. When I received my bill, I discovered I was actually being charged $10 per month. I went back to the store, and instead of helping me, she insisted they never had a $7 plan, making me feel like I was lying or didn't understand what I had been told. That was embarrassing and very unprofessional. Before I purchased the iPad, I specifically asked if I could return it if I wasn't happy. She told me I had 30 days to return it, but she never mentioned there would be a $50 restocking fee. When I returned the iPad within the 30-day period, I was shocked to learn about the fee. Thankfully, Verizon's online customer service was able to help resolve my issue, and I appreciate their professionalism. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about this store. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this location. They seemed more focused on making a sale than being honest and taking care of their customers. read more

Location has the worst customer service and it starts from their onsite leadership assistant or main management. Previously visited location to complete online order. Reps including leader were more interested in canceling my order so they could generate the sale instead of help sorting out. In addition, Jill and Nancy did everything they could to avoid helping by ignoring customer request for help. However, soon as new clients walking in for new service they jumped out of their seats to help. No leader on site so employees are on their own. I've been with Verizon 30 years and 20 days. I've been with them since they were Air touch. I've had hundreds of phones and always have had 3 lines. Upgrade after upgrade and been through all of the changes. It used to be so easy you had one rep that would help you in person with getting your upgrade, take care of all phones, lines, technical issues, questions etc, now you get a tier one representive when calling and they believe that they are the ones to handle all your concerns and mess everything up that you tried to avoid, you ask for a supervisor and suddenly they just walked into a meeting and we're unavailable, but you would be happy to have them call you back. It may be an hour or so. I wait four hours. No call from no supervisor. I call back. I requested a supervisor again. I get a tier one representative that guarantees me they'll be able to assist with my problem. Then they proceed to criticize the rep that messed up prior to this phone call they fix it a little bit, but they don't fix it completely now. I'm in a bigger mess than I was before I even had the issue I had. It's disgusting. I still have got no help. No call from no supervisor and there's nothing I can do about it because I can't get past somebody. That's not willing to transfer me or get someone to call me back I even went into a Verizon store. They told me they don't do any kind of technical assistance and any of the stores nobody could help me. All they wanna do is sell me something I have four lines I think that's enough. All I want is somebody to help so I'm pretty disgusted after all these years you know I've never missed one bill. I've never missed one payment. I've never been late one day in 30 years. Very disappointed in this store and the service provided. I had just sent up service with 6 lines porting over from Tmobile and one of my lines iMessage was not working. Having called into support they advised me to wait 4hrs but can take up to 24hrs if not I can go into my local store and they can further assist me. So 24hrs passed and I was still having issues with iMessage so I walked into the store on Thursday around 6pm on 2/12 and was assisted right away by one of the reps. She checked me in and assisted me right away. I told her the issue I was having and she looked at a few settings on phone and then asked a gentleman I'm guessing a manager or something if he knew of a solution to fix this and all he said was it's an apple issue and they don't have the tools to assist me on this and I would need to go to apple. Having just transferred 6 lines over this is not the answer I wanted to hear as Verizon is my provider and they can at least attempt try to assist me. No attempt to call into support or tech support to help figure this out. Instead all the did was push me to apple. Having left I called into support and told them the situation and they apologized for stores lack of help and assured me they'll do their best to help resolve my issue. It took support about 15mins to fix my issue by deleting my eSIM and adding a new one. This is something the store could have easily done (unless the they don't have the tools to call into support such as a phone) instead of pushing a new customer away. I was close to going back to Tmobile after this horrible customer experience. Had they not been so busy when I walked across the way I would have went back to them. Needless to say I would not be going back to this Verizon store in the future and they should be ashamed of themselves to even be a company owned store. This is the customer experience I expect from a 3rd party but not from a company owned store. read more

No wonder they have a 2-start rating. Our experience with Frank, the person who was assigned to us was terrible. I think he was the most dishonest person in that store. In spite of asking he added so many expensive accessories and was telling us they were free. When we asked for the receipt, he said the printer didn't work. So, until we went home, we didn't realize that he has charged for 5 accessories we don't even need. Also, Frank has enrolled the new phone to insurance without asking or telling us. We saw it when we were going through the receipt at home. We immediately went to the store, and we are sure he saw us but avoided us. This means he pretty much knew what he did. He also was wearing his badge to hide his name. Eventually we went to the store and cancel the order. Despite cancelling the order Verizon has shipped the new phone. We had to go to the store once again, get a mailing label, pack it, go to a FedEx office and ship back all the items. All because of a dishonest employee by the name Frank. However, we were very impressed with his manager in the store. She was a very nice lady who explained everything and helped us to cancel the order. I went into the store with an appointment previously set. I was already irritated by the rep over the phone unable to assist, 47 minutes of wasted time (turned out she sent verification texts to 2 wrong numbers). My issue was a failed piece of my iPhone that needed replacement. I reviewed all steps previously taken, what was needed, and the representative Jahan was quick awesome and had me out of there in mere minutes problem solved. I am unaware of other issues due to low star ratings, but this was an awesome experience. Definitely going back next time there is an issue or if a new phone is needed. read more

It's been two months now & apparently they have lost our 4 trade in phones & want us to pay another $500. Luckily we had the receipt that showed prof that we shipped them & called customer services. All they did was discount $20 off the $500 bill even though we did our part & sent them in. So far we have paid $700 in store(even though they said we wouldn't have to pay anything) , $600, $500 & now another $500 for the bill coming up. $2000 for this horrible service. Been a Verizon customer for, going on 17 years now, went in today to take advantage of some promotions and to add two lines. One for a family business that necessitates a tablet for a pick up and delivery service, the other just an Apple Watch. 300 dollars savings though, so I surely wanted to take advantage. Was working with Julie, or Julia, can't recall the name but it was one of the two. She seemed nice enough until she said there was a problem adding lines, she had to call corporate, ok, fine... we'll come to find out there is an issue with my account in that someone else opened a sub account in my name. How? I have no idea, but I'm told they can't handle anything in store, talked to the manager, she said "her hands were tied and the promotions end today without any way to rectify the situation. Verizon corporate, either you need to allow your stores to override things in store or figure out how to allow people to rectify fraud on their accounts on the weekend. This same thing happened last time, and something g tells me that it was overridden without being taken off my account last time. Because of this we lost a promotion and ATT or T Mobile got 7 new lines and you subsequently lost them because of the three (corporate, store manager and store employees) incompetence. This store has the worst staff in all of Verizon. They have terrible attitude and atrocious customer service training. We were Verizon customers for 21 years. They have always been the most expensive but you got the best service, human and technological. Now they are no better than any other carrier and their customer service at all levels is the worst. I went in to Montclair Verizon with my iPhone Seven Plus after getting a message on my screen saying "iPhone Disabled". Turns out everything on my phone had to be wiped out, I hadn't backed it up, lost a lot of important pictures and was pretty bummed. Between the help of Chris, Prophel and their new manager, Frank (there was also Jon), I felt completely taken care of, they did everything possible to make the transition into a new phone work for me. Some who do try to help get so frustrated by you asking them questions they just do everything and NOT explain anything. I left your company for another company due to too many charges. Well, I've read some horrible reviews from this store but mine will not be one. I walked in and was checked in by a pleasant fellow, ( don't know his name). Waited around 10 minutes and a very nice woman, and again her name fails me which I'm embarrassed to say but it starts with a P I'm pretty sure, now it's holiday time and I thought it would be packed but I lucked out. But I digress, I had purchased an SE cellular I phone for my son for a Christmas gift from somewhere else and got bum steered by another Verizon dealer nearby saying that I couldn't add this to my account and text or call unless I bought another I phone. Complete bullshit. I was going to return it based on this information and thought I'd check with the mother ship first. Sure enough this woman hooked me up in 10 minutes and it works seamlessly. My 2 yr old phone broke yesterday - keeps freezing. I went in to (1) buy a $1200 iPhone to replace the Galaxy that is freezing (it's time anyway) and (2) see if they could help me salvage data (I know there are various modes the phone can be booted up into that might enable us to get some of the data - plus it has an SD card. I'm not very tech savvy so I just wanted some guidance) After waiting around for 10 minutes I overheard someone asking to put their name on a waitlist. Didn't know there was a waitlist but ok - it is close to Christmas and busy so I added my name too. Just wish I'd known that 10 minutes earlier. After waiting for another 25 minutes - a guy asks me (super rudely) why I'm there. I explain, and he says "it isn't YOUR turn yet, I don't need the details." "Actually, she's next on the list!" another associate says. He then listens and proceeds to give me a 5 minute lecture on the importance of backups. Doesn't try to look at the phone, and even though I'd explained I wanted to buy a replacement, he shrugged his shoulders and turned away when he was done with his mini lecture.
