Terrible service here. Long wait times too. I came in on a Saturday and was told it was at least an hour wait. I left and came back later in the day. I checked in with the man at the front counter, letting him know that I just purchased a new phone and wanted to change my old phone to the new one. I sat in line (for an hour) and then overheard the salesman in front of me tell the customer that the machine that does imports of contacts to new phones is DOWN. I couldn't belive the man who checked me in didn't tell me this!! I informed the salesman that he should have been telling customers this upfront so they didn't waste their time standing in line. I ended up driving across the street to the the big electrronic store, and they did it in 20 minutes, no wait time. read more

My girlfriend went in to do a buy out from ATT and she wanted to use her trade in credit towards her bill, which then the sales manager Rob told her that, it was not possible. He told her she had to use the credit towards accessories only and that if she didn't use it all that day that she would loose it. Her only option was to buy accessories she did not need. She was also told she would be given a discount on a Bose speaker she had to purchase, of 11 dollars. which was a Lie the discount was because she is a Comcast employee and he lied to make her feel better. I know Bose is price regulated. The next day we returned and he continued to lie to us about it and said he contacted his DM about it an he made an exception for us. To which a few minutes later the Store manager personally texted my girlfriend even though he has been off both days in questions. Stopped in here yesterday to replace my 3 year old phone. I was helped by Dan, who was great. He asked all the right questions, provided good guidance to me, and didn't try to up sell me too hard. The second I walked in during a busy time I was nicely greeted by two workers. They listened to my problem and the one worker immediately helped me! I needed my broken phone service transferred to my old phone. He did so in less than 15 minutes and it was out the door. He was so helpful in all of my other questions and very friendly. I recommend this location to anyone. read more

Fast service, knowledgeable and helpful employees. I have been to Verizon stores (the one near Randhurst mall in Mt. Prospect, IL, that does not even have a yelp page) that are awful in comparison, but this store definitely works efficiently and does not waste your time. Realizing today when seeing my bill that when adding a line to my existing account and given the implied impression that activation was waved because I am a returning customer was smoke and mirrors. Having to pay the little extra is fine, just wish I had a heads up about it. As I called the Verizon store that sold me my 2nd phone to ask why I was charged the added costs I received a snarky less than professional comment of how the fees have been set for 20 years. Luckily I appreciate the quality CELL PHONE service and not the "Customer service professional" that took my call... I'm not interested in getting the "CSR" in trouble, I'm sure he has gone through extensive customer service training and watched videos on how to handle customers. I bought a Samsung Note 5 the other day at the Woodfield Store. Today when I tried to get on the phone a keyboard popped up and I couldn't get to the phone until I entered my password. I don't know why. I went to this Verizon store with my problem. The employee told me it was Samsung's problem,gave me their phone # and basically cut me off. I have had negative experiences at this store in the past. This store is nearest to my home but I don't think I'll be back. read more

Whatever you do...DON'T pick Verizon as your carrier. Two stars is two too many!!! Verizon doesn't honor what their representatives tell customers. I have been with them for over 10 years. I recently went into the store in Niles, IL to purchase a new phone (I live in California). I explained I didn't want the iPhone 6 because it was too expensive and I didn't want a payment plan. I spent $200 there and left with the iPhone 5. I was told I was being put on a 2 year contract and assured my monthly bill was not going up. He even threw in a Bluetooth speaker for me, telling me he was able to do so because of a specific promotion. Guess what? I am now being charged monthly for the new phone I got and they are saying I am not in a 2 year contract, which is funny since I bought the phone on July 29th and they didn't due away with their contracts until August 13th (look it up). In all I will pay close to $800.00 for an old model phone that I could have bought it at Apple for $450. They are also telling me that the money I paid in the store was to purchase the Bluetooth speaker the liar told me was thrown in. Now I am being told that there is nothing they can do. Couldn't even speak to a manager. They just kept telling me to go into the store and talk to them, but the store is across the country from me. I am going to Sprint tomorrow to get the hell away from this horrible company, but wanted to warn as many people as I could. If a company is going to charge twice as much as any other comparable company, the least they could do is provide quality service, especially to customers who have been with them since they started. I had a terrible experience with them and I recommend that you take your business elsewhere. The associate lied saying that I would get $200 of accessories for free if I upgraded to the iPhone 6 but he actually manipulated the presentation of the Edge plan so that I paid for the accessories AND paid extra money for the phone. What person in their right mind would pay $200 for a couple of made in China accessories??!! Had I known that the $200 was going towards cheap accessories and that the phone cost was actually being added to my monthly bill in installments then I would have never agreed to the arrangement. Fortunately, I went to another store and the sales people there explained the plan and how I had been cheated! They saved me $200!! When we went back to this location, the manager again began outright lying and manipulating. The cheat. Fortunately we had all the information and demanded our money back. I am going to complain about this store to the corporate branch and I hope they get penalized for lying and cheating their customers. BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Scammers and liars. I am not the only one who was manipulated by them. I went to them with my husband to get iPhones 6 plus. They proposed me the Edge plan so we can upgrade faster than every two years but we have to have payment plan for the devices. We took the plan and gave down payment for the phones so we have lower monthly payment. When we were waiting I looked at Bose wireless speaker and when salesman saw it he said that he will give it to us for free and he will add one screen protector for free if we buy second one. When I asked where is the catch he said that there is no catch and we are good customers so he can do that for us and he showed us careen of the computer that he already added those things and that it shows that we pay "ZERO". And when he turned back the screen he changed everything so we ended up thinking that we putted down more money for the phones and except that we paid for the speaker and 2nd screen protector. Before we left he said how much approximately we will pay for our monthly bill and since we got some extras to the plan like more internet or warranty for the phones I thought it was ok and never checked it. And also I would never think that huge company like Verizon would do something like that. Recently I was playing with Verizon app on my phone and I saw devices payment agreement so I opened it. And then I noticed that something is wrong. We went to different location to find out what happened here and we found out that we paid almost $300 for all the stuff which suppose to be free. And if we want to upgrade the phones today we have to pay another lump sum because we did not pay enough up to date since almost $300 less than we thought went toward the phones. I can't prove anything because receipt they gave me shows just the total amount I paid (no details-they are covering their back). But I hope that sooner or later they will make mistake and pay for what they are doing to people because this is not right. Do not go there and tell your friends the same! This is fraud! read more

Total Scam. Customers should gather and do something about this place. My wife and I went to this store a week ago, and purchased Galaxy Note 5. We were thinking of getting AT&T since they were offering $100 rebate for changing supplier. I told the sales man about $100 rebate and he talked to the manager and told me that they would give $100 rebate if we turn in current smartphone we are using. No additional information, and since they did not have Note 5, we had to get it in mail. We received the phone by UPS and activated. Following weekend, we visited the store to get the rebate. AND the Manger Paul and the Sales man Matt told me that my smartphone does not qualify for the rebate since it is too old. Well, it is a fraud. I am an accountant and by the definition, a fraud is knowingly deceiving other people for his own benifit. They knew (Knowingly) but still promissed $100 rebate (deceiving) to sell the phone (for his own benifit). The manager and the sales man explained my phone qualified last week and now it is off the list. What do they think I am.. a Fool? They didn't even check if it qualifies or not. They might have thought it would... that's the most generous credit I can give to them,, but no, they did not care if it qualifies or not. they just said whatever, and wanted to sell for the moment. Oh,, on top of that, they sold me a phone case and screen protector for $125... I found these combined for $40 at amazon.com. I am returning All. I am wondering what else they are going to do when I try to return. read more
