I came in because my phone was stuck in SOS mode and I was unable to make calls or send messages. My phone stated it needed a Puk code that could only be given to me by Verizon. The worker in the store couldn't help me, so they called customer service and had me wait on hold for a representative. I was on hold for an hour before a rep finally came on the line. I then spent another 30 minutes with him trying to figure out how to get my phone out of SOS mode. No one seemed to be able to give me the elusive Puk code or get my phone working. He then stated he would need to escalate the call and would transfer me to another department. I figured he was going to warm transfer me to human. Nope. I was just placed back on hold again to wait for who knows how long. At this point I'd been there for over an hour and a half and my phone still wasn't working. I was not about to wait for another hour, so I just decided to upgrade my phone. I really didn't want or need a new phone; but that was my only option at this point, if I wanted a working phone. I declined the insurance multiple times. They told me they'd give me a month for free, which I also declined. A couple days later I decide to check my account to see what my new total monthly payment will be and there is two additional services that were added to my plan. The insurance coverage, that I specifically did not want, and an upgrade on my hotspot data allowance. Both of these services I never authorized or requested be added to my plan. This seems to be a common occurrence with Verizon. The main things you should take from all this is to (a) hope your phone never goes into SOS mode because no one will be able to help you; and (b) if you make any upgrades or changes in the store, make sure you check your account when you get home. I'm about 90% sure you'll have unauthorized additional services added to your plan. read more

The other Verizon on village way closes early and opens late now, every day; frustrating, as you cannot call the store and they are not open during their posted hours...but it was actually a blessing in disguise. Last Saturday my phone got stolen at an event in LA. I arrived at the Verizon store, distraught Sunday morning, mothers day. I also still owe money on the phone. I had some pacing and tears, as all the pieces of the crushing reality washed over me. Diane was my sales associate, Juan (I think this is your name) good looking, latin store manager observed and began problem solving, and he came up with a really good solution. In a time of waning (at best) to adversarial (at worst) customer service, this was above and beyond. Kindness and care in a moment, where I really need both. Diane sat with me, helped me update my apps, sorted through the barriers as they came up, because AI is all about helpfully overcomplicating everything, let me verify it is not you, by sending you a verification text...to the phone that was stolen...uugh. I had a iPhone 8 for so long as I don't really care to upgrade unless I had to. Well it finally died, battery would stopped charging and luckily I had a Verizon store right across the street from my house. Made an appointment and they got me in and out within an hour. They even transferred all my information to my new iPhone . Being I been with Verizon for over 25 years, they upgraded my old "grandfather" plan along with even getting me a 2nd line for all the price of 1 phone. Made it worth it!!! When you enter the store you are put in a queue. Customers are taken in the order they arrive. Staff are friendly for the most part. They usually have good deals going on. Phones, tablets, watches, and accessories are usually in stock. Sometimes they have to be shipped to you -arrives in a couple of days. Their billing is pretty confusing and doesn't make much sense. I feel they overcharge you for little $10 items here and there. Overall, Verizon has great coverage. I've been with them for many years. read more

He didn't just try to sell me on something new. He actually listened, asked the right questions, and made sure I felt heard and understood. And what really impressed me? He followed up. Days later, he checked in to make sure everything was good on my end. There was a mix-up in pricing and instead of giving me the runaround, he took full responsibility, explained what happened, and let me know exactly what he could do to make it right. By far the worst store I had ever been too, I was looking to add a watch to my account and was told 0 down. I then got told I had to pay so card was no accepted go outside to atm and machine wasn't working had to cross the street to go to atm across, I come back 10 min later and there is still 3 ppl working, one of which was a manager who isn't servicing anyone but ask me if the other man was helping I confirmed mind you I just had to pay. The original rep is helping someone finally 5min to close after having me pace for 47min he asks the manager to ring me out. Honestly, the store is worthless. You come in for help and just look at you like you dumb and tell you, you need to call customer service. When I walked in to perches a new phone and help me with my account. But no help here, more like call customer service they fix everything that's there answer. Ps when I asked for the different phone plans she advised me to go to my app and look cause she didn't know as she wasn't working at Verizon when I got my plan. This Verizon location was very helpful. I can from a different carrier of many years and was used to them. But when I can to Verizon, everything was better. The service from Julian was amazing. He was very informative but let me choose what I wanted. He was very patient with questions, and I had a lot. We did run into some problem, that were fully out of his control, but he handled them well. The reason I switched is because I received a new job that required me to send more photos. The customer service here not up to par with other Verizon stores. If you are getting a new plan, upgrading a phone, or want any promotions or discounted price ...This is not the location to go to. There is a promotion going on with upgrading a iPhone if you have one...once I got there, the female rep did not activate or tell me about the plan change that I needed to get this promotion, avoided telling me how to get this promo...and avoided it completely. Also, didn't give me a print out after I finished so I could check what was in place. I called Verizon today, to check the paperwork, and the promo wasn't included in. I would go to another location. These workers are not working in the best interest of the customer, and if you do get anything done here, I would call into Verizon to double check anything that was offered verbally to make sure that it was done. read more

Rep by the name of angel( as listed on my receipt) was helping me do a trade in since I pre-ordered the new iPhone with Bestbuy. I was on the basic plan so wasn't gonna get the trade in value they told me when ordering the phone so I upgraded to the ultimate plan. He then told me I had to go back to the Bestbuy so they can submit a form for the trade in and fix the value. Luckily I knew a Bestbuy an employee who texted me and told me that they just didn't want to do it there because it affects their numbers since I didn't buy my iPhone there in store with them . So I told the rep that I was just told they could do it. He ignored me the first time and changed the subject and got up to process the transaction. Asked him again as he walked away and he said he was going to check. Comes back out from the back 2 minutes later with a receipt saying he was able to give me the full value there and then. I also asked him before doing the upgrade the pricing I would pay every month if I switched to ultimate and did the trade in vs if I didn't. He told me I'd be paying around 66 bucks a month(around 72 with taxes). Spoke with the person from Bestbuy later and they told me that didn't sound right and that there would be other fees/charges. So they looked into it for me and said I'd actually end up paying around 100 dollars a month for the next 3 years. Rep tried to screw me over with the trade in, then screwed me over even worse with the plan change and trade in. Shady business, Verizon doesn't really care to help customers or make things right. read more

Disappointing customer service. Although everyone that worked there was very nice and friendly, they weren't available to help. The wait time was almost an hour. There were only about four people in the store and about five employees "working" however, only two of the employees were actually helping people. The other employees were in the back talking with each other while one of them was in the front on his phone texting. I asked the manager if he could just get me the phone I wanted to purchase and he said he had someone in front of me that he was helping, but proceeded to go into the back to talk with the other two employees. They waited the exact 50 minutes they quoted me before someone came to help me, even though they were all standing in the back together doing nothing. I could clearly see them from where I was standing, waiting for someone to help. When the employee finally did come out to help me, he was not engaged. I had to tell him four times What color phone I wanted and multiple times which phone I wanted. He asked me the same questions over and over again. We have a choice where we want to go, and this store is not going to be one of my first choices. I rarely ever post negative reviews. I just really dislike when it does appear that nobody is working but they don't take the time to help you. They definitely need a different system there. read more

ZERO STARS! Bought an apple iPhone 13 Promax with John. He gave me a charger and didn't explain that I needed to purchase the plug box because it didn't fit the one I have. So I wasn't able to charge my phone all night. He didn't answer any questions and was overall, extremely unhelpful. Came back the next day to ask why the charger doesn't work. Asked a few more questions and was told I'd be charged for requesting assistance! WTF! I have been a Verizon customer for over 3 decades. And they charge for assisting me with a new phone? I saw online a trade-in deal where you get the new iPhone 15 with a trade in and $10 a month added to your bill so went to my local Verizon store. When getting the phone I noticed the sells rep lied to a customer preventing them from getting phones for their family I felt bad, but stayed out of it. I was told to activate my phone and drop off the old one just stop by and drop it off anytime in the next 30 days. I follow every step. My old phone says transfer complete my new phone is working to my understanding I just need to drop off my old phone as instructed. I walk in today and this kid is flirting with his coworker she's helping a customer and he's jumping in the conversation leaning towards the coworker being inappropriate and tells me to wait. I get upset by this and ask to speak to a manager very calmly I want to explain a customer service rule about how you should greet people coming in something like hi welcome to Verizon well be with you shortly, or welcome in, or hi, or anything but a kid trying to get some nookie from a coworker. He tells me he's the manager with a smile and acts condensing I explain this customer service rule and ask him why my business is less important and we get into an argument he won't help me he just decides to be difficult. He refuses to accept my phone and I explain to him CA has certain laws he's violating he should reconsider and just let me speak to his boss. He refuses and demands to see my ID to turn in the phone. Why would I need an ID to turn in a phone? I wasn't buying anything or getting or giving money I was told to drop off my phone and the manager wouldn't let me kept provoking me and point his fingers in my face aggressively. This to me was a physical threat he wanted to upset me he kept getting in my personal space. I kept backing down asking to speak to someone else. I show him my ID, and he says the phone needs to be fully charged. He wants me to wait will it charges. No one said anything about it being fully charged it was at 80% he wanted me to wait there for however long it took for 100% charge and I said no i did my part this is unlawful at this point I need to speak to someone else. He again refused demanding I was needing to cool off and come back later I told him no the deal was to turn in the phone and go. He puffs his chest to me and says that's not how this is going to work bud and I saw yes it is or your getting your store owner into a lawsuit. He says because I mentioned a lawsuit this conversation was over and tries to give me back my phone. Says he will charge me the full price of the iPhone 15 if I leave and at this point I'm too mad to deal with him so figure the best thing to de-escalate the situation is to be on camera dropping off the phone then leave. I call corporate and am told nothing this manager was doing reflects Verizon policy they apologize for his actions and set up an investigation. I've been with Verizon for 22 years and have never met such a pathetic ego-crazed kid. They say if he tries anything illegal their team will deal with it because I'm pretty sure he just threw my phone away and intends to charge me full price in which case this 100% will be a lawsuit. California government code 175000 was established to limit managers like this from false advertisement and from thinking they can behave this way if I find out anything other than this manager finished the order there could be a 6 month prison sentence attached to this for the person who's name is on the business. I strongly suggest you monitor your management closer because his actions today might be a legal concern for you. If not from me, someone else. Not to mention flirting with coworkers below you is an HR concern it's tacky and unprofessional. A manager shouldn't be hitting on employees. She was helping that guy he was fine he didn't actually have anything to say I listened and when he finished up flirting his attitude towards me was unacceptable I will not be returning to this store. Nor should anyone if that manager is there I just hope this doesn't effect the store owner I hope they review the film and deal with this employee as they see fit personally I wouldn't have someone like this in a management position this wasn't a casual mistake this kid is a liability. My phone is there, if I'm charged full price for my new phone I'll let corporate deal it I've been a customer for 22 years I sort of do expect an apology from the owner of this store for the actions of your manager. I won't file anything if our agreement is honored I will file if it's not. It's upsetting to think because I c***blocked a manager from hitting on his subordinate I couldn't just drop off my phone as discussed all these extra steps and attitude we're him being a jerk. So I left to go to work, then came back at 7:20pm and they locked the door 40 minutes before closing and would not open up the door for me.
