I got majorly scammed yesterday at this store yesterday when I went in to buy a new iPhone after my iPhone 14 broke from water damage. The first bizarre thing was the sales person, Tenaye, actively discouraged me from claiming the upgrade for the 16 that I was eligible for, and instead kept pressing me to file an insurance claim for a replacement 14 model. I had to ask multiple times to claim my upgrade, but she kept advising against it because it would incur fees. The fees she was describing was the balance on the current phone that I would need to pay regardless.... It was unnecessarily confusing and took way longer than it should have. After all this, after confirming my upgrade, she tells me In order to claim the upgrade I would need to do this BYOD (bring your own device) promotional deal that would decrease the added fees for the upgrade. She explained that Id need to add a second line to my account but at no cost and they would have to assign a "ghost number" or an inactive phone number to my broken iPhone 14 and that way I could transfer my phone number to the new iPhone 16, keep the old phone, and save money. It didn't really make sense to me, but I was impatient at this point and just wanted to get the thing done so I agreed. After all this, I was not able to transfer my phone line to the new phone because the Verizon support representative (after 2 hours of support) confirmed I had a "pending order" that was blocking them from being able to activate the new device. Basically this newly added line to my account from this "promo deal" that I was told wouldn't cause me any issues in fact cause me major issues because multiple customer support reps (even higher level supervisors) weren't able to fix the problem and finally assigned me a ticket number for a tech support person who will call me "in the next few days" to "hopefully" resolve the issue. My new device has no service connection and this has been by far the most frustrating and unbelievable experiences I've had with a company overall. I don't know if the issue is with Verizon itself or whether this sales person just didnt know what she was doing. Either way, I recommend passing on this particular store and maybe switching network carriers altogether. read more

I went in on Tuesday to upgrade my I phone. I asked the woman helping me to explain the difference between the IPhone 15 pro and the IPhone 15 pro max. She said basically that the max has a bigger screen. So I ordered the 512gb Pro, which had to be shipped to me because they didn't have it in stock. When I got home I did my research in the two models and there are major differences which this woman never explained to me! Better Camera 5x Telephoto vs 3x telephoto lens in the Pro and 3 hours longer battery life. If she knew the products she was selling I would have ordered the pro max! Now because the pro was already shipped ( I canceled the order the next day) I have wait until it arrives back on Texas because they won't process my new order for the 15 Pro Max. Sometimes you need to go into stores with very low expectations, which I should have done while visiting this Verizon location. My partner and I stopped in around 5 something on a Saturday, solely due to seeking help with resetting the network on their phone. A woman acting as the greeter at the door said it would be a half hour wait, but kept pushing us to call the help number instead. My partner asked how they could do the reset on their own and the greeter asked if they had an iPhone, but upon discovering they didn't, she said she didn't know how to reset a phone that wasn't Apple. Already, this was super annoying considering there is certainly more than one type of phone being sold at Verizon in 2021. Anywho, my partner ends up looking up how to do it online while we're in the store. The greeter goes to the back of the store to get a tablet replacement because she can't help us without one, comes back, but only to tell us the wait time again. After my partner begins the reset, they ask her how long it should take. The woman replied, "Well, iPhone's are just a couple of minutes, so I don't know how long that'll take." Is this a joke? Clearly, we don't really care about what iPhone can and can't do. You would have thought this woman was working for Apple. We stood there for 20 minutes, getting no help from her but waiting for the reset to finish. Visiting this store was totally pointless and a complete waste of our time--use the Verizon chat or Google to avoid this like we should have. tried to get a new phone. literally the WORST experience i've had at a verizon store. got my new phone and was trying to get my data transferred over - the guy said it would be 20 minutes. 20 minutes came and went, and nothing happened on either phone, just a black loading bar on my old phone. i went back over to the counter where a different guy (i think the manager?) STARTED the transfer process because the initial guy didn't do it right. he told me it would be 15 more minutes. 30 minutes later the phone finally transfers over. during the entire time im waiting (with my mother, who was also there) two employees are having the most sexist conversation i've ever heard - it was outright disturbing and incredibly inappropriate for a business setting. the one guy employee is telling a female employee "what women need to do to keep their man from cheating," and going on about how they need to feed and satisfy their man or else he'll cheat??? it was highly inappropriate and really uncomfortable to listen to. finally, i go over to the manager because im just trying to leave at this point and get out of this awful store. the manager is talking to two different employees and saying how he can't give 100% at this location compared to his old location because of the "customers they serve here"... right in front of me. i'd be willing to overlook the initial mistake that kept me almost an extra hour at their store (which was infuriating, but mistakes happen), but honestly i was really bothered by the lack of professionalism the employees demonstrated, ESPECIALLY the incredibly sexist conversation that two employees had right in front of us. awful experience overall. also they tried to charge us $30 to transfer the data from my old phone to my new phone. read more

I did not know what to expect. The last time I was here the Verizon agent was the worst. I needed a new phone did not want to spend a fortune. Ha!! He screwed me over big time. NOT TODAY!!! Steve was the rep who helped me. He was fantastic. I told him I needed to keep the price low because we are on a tight budget. He looked at my phone and said that is no problem. What I thought was a cracked screen was actually cracked screen saver. Wow!! I was told by different store (no name...but located at the Fashion Center) it was a cracked screen. Steve said I can upgrade if I want for just a few dollars more a month. Sold!! I was able to trade my phone in for the same price of a new one. Steve thank you. You are terrific! We waited for an hour and a half to return 2 phones. And then it took over 30 minutes to do the process. There was an employee who spent his time doing nothing but checking people in - maybe that is his job, I thought. Then he proceeds to help a guy who walked in after all of the time I waited and immediately assisted him in doing an online order - essentially cutting the line - and spent well over a half hour with him. What a very frustrating and aggravating experience. The person who eventually helped us was pretty good. He is the only reason I didn't give 1 star. The speed is fine and having one provider for internet, tv, landline is easy. They have a number of packages to save money. My wife wants one channel that you can only get on the highest end tv package so I pay almost $200 per month. The boxes add to the charge and are way to expensive. A box w had recorder is $40 per month so over lady 10 years has cost a lot The service is spotty. They leave you to basically do your own service. Days to get someone there. And a power outage could stop everything. read more

I believe this is the worst Verizon store around. They never have anything in stock, always huge wait, never any solid help with issues. The manager will tell you he will handle it and never handle anything. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else , this place is not good at anything. If you want to check out a phone and just play with it this will work but as far as getting anything or getting a problem fixed it will be twice as difficult here than just calling customer service 800 number. So today at 2:49pm my Verizon cell and iPad upgrade was delivered. 10 min later a girl and guy pass by my house and do an immediate k turn at end of the street to only pass by my house again. Neighbors watched all this take place and tried to take down the license plate # but the small black Honda suv had none. The guy got out of the car and stole packages that the fed ex delivery driver dropped off. This gets better bc somehow the thief in a grey hoodie managed to shut off my ring( I know this because I actually saw the perp through the door window but just thought he was delivering something). At 3:11pm my two neighbors came to my door and explained that this guy and girl with missing plates just ran away with my packages. No doubt this was an inside job either with fed ex or Verizon but perps definitely new what was in those packages, what time of delivery and location. I have never had a package stolen from my doorstep and I could throw a rock from my house and hit the police station. I spent the rest of the day arguing with Verizon as they continue to not take accountability! I ask them why packages with that kind of value wouldn't require a signature or have insurance and all they continue to say to me is sorry but it was delivered. Verizon is telling me it's my fault and they won't refund charges or take responsibility. Also some other real strange coincidence: - other small packages left behind - call from fed ex after 3:11 asking if I received the packages (that never happens ) - police watching traffic on main road leading into my street and would have seen a suv with no plates - originally asked the store account manager to have the devices sent to the store but they said not their policy it's much better to have it sent to my home Part 2 tomorrow as I go to the store where I purchased and agreed to contracts I'm beyond disgusted at Verizon but definitely not surprised!!! I was having trouble with Wifi staying connected to my phone. I didn't want to waste my time going back to Verizon RT 17. Both times I went there, I couldn't get ANY help at all. See my review So I took a chance went to the Verizon store on RT 4 East Paramus. What a BIG difference at this store, they couldn't wait to help me. I told a very nice customer service rep named Sam what my problem was..He did a Wifi reset and it was fixed. What relief that, I know where to go if I should need help again . The rep could not give us a straight answer until we pressed him to compare costs of different phones and paying monthly VS buying outright. We said we needed to back up our old phones before using the new ones so he assured us we could activate the phones at home- but our old phones stopped working immediately! I purchased a HTC ONE model 10 in July of 2016 from this location. I was asked if I wanted to add insurance to the phone to cover accidental damage. I was told it would be around $80 to replace the screen and $200 for a replacement phone. I stopped my phone last week and the screen broke. I went back to the store and the associate informed me that they had insured my son's 2 year old phone rather than my new phone. The manager told me that it was my fault and that I should have reviewed my bill more carefully and there was nothing he could do. "My fault" that his employee or insurance on the wrong phone. Last time I checked I do not have access to there computer system. It turns out my phone is not even eligible for screen replacement. I will never stop into this location again. I went to the Verizon store on Route 17 because I wanted to have a person who would ensure the data was transferred from my old phone to my new. Sadly for me the sales person I got was Pilar who is both unhelpful and a liar. When I asked if she could find something on my old phone she told me it was Verizon policy that no sales associates could touch the phone. Later I noticed all the other associates who were helping customers did help by touching the old(and new) phones. When I pointed this out to Pilar she said it was her policy because she had people at home she carried about. Clearly she knows about as much about how Covid is spread as she does about customer service...nothing. The manager told me I could have asked for someone else but since I initially believed Pilar's lie I didn't know to do that when it could have helped me. Instead of enjoying the new phone I ended up irritated and feeling discriminated against. Obviously unless I had Coronavirus(which I don't) she could never get it from me and if she washed her hands or worse gloves(best yet since why would I want her touching anything of mine) I think her chances were nil. Unless Pilar has been fired for lack of respect for the customers or gone back to her job at CDC(hahaha) I won't be back in that store. My neighbor who used to work for and is loyal to AT&T: no cell service. My sister who tried to save money with T Mobile: no cell service My friend at work with Sprint: no cell service. Meanwhile, Verizon Wireless stated that 94 percent of its cell sites are functional. Verizon has been able to reroute and restore critical services at several key facilities that were affected by the historic flooding and subsequent power outages on Monday night. The company said it's been pumping facilities that were flooded, but that its critical voice switches, data equipment and routers are located on high floors in buildings, so they were not damaged by floodwater. . The company erected a temporary wireless antenna in Jersey City, across the Hudson River from the World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan, to support services for its major financial customers based in Northern New Jersey. The company said its wireless network is "a terrific backup to wireline networks, and many financial service customers are using wireless as a major component of their business continuity planning." So you know what, they talk the talk and walk the walk. Consumer Reports consistently rates them the #1 cell phone provider. When you first enter the store, someone will ask you what you need help on and will advise of how long the wait time is, if there is any. The salespeople are courteous, helpful, and knowledgable about all phones. They are able to describe the features of the phones and guide you to the phone that best suits your needs. I liked the reviewer that said this store is the DMV of cell phone stores. They really do not do anything fast at Verizon. I stick with them and pay crazy rates, because the best cell network is still Verizon. They get you with all kinds of fees, but we all know that. The one thing I like about the improved store is that your name now goes on a visible wait list so you can see how many zombies are waiting ahead of you. At least at the DMV they give you an uncomfortable chairs to sit on while you wait, not so much at Verizon. Love the iPhone, cell network - hate the WAITING. read more

My mom and I came here today for new phones. The salesperson who helped us was incredibly friendly and patient with us. My mom got her and my dad new Android phones. I got a new iPhone. I'm very happy with my new phone! We also got all new accessories. We did come here on a Monday when it was pretty slow. I went in to buy 2 iphone 6s on an EDGE plan but they recommended that I buy a bundle plan. They asked us to choose the accessories as part of a bundle explicitly telling me that it was free. No bill/receipt was given that day saying it will be in my email. When I look in my email, I cannot figure out why I paid 300$ more than I should have on an EDGE plan. So I went in the next day to ask them, they now tell that I paid a discounted price for the accessories. 300$ for accessories!!!! Giovanni, Robert and Kristie. They were the people involved in this. I wanted to drop off equipment really quickly but the three employees behind the desks were very disorganized. There was a long line of people waiting, one of whom only needed a couple of minutes to add money to his card. Drop off of any kind should be quick. Verification can happen afterwards especially if the customer doesn't need anything in return. For a store to run smoothly, not everyone has to wait. People should be approached as soon as they walk in and helped right away instead of getting to counter without any reference as to what is needed. Never coming back here again. read more

I avoid any Verizon location at all costs, going to the Verizon store only when I absolutely must. Such was the case today: my college student son's iPhone had finally crapped out and he needed his lifeline for work and school. Typically when I replace my phones I do it online and wait a couple days for it to ship, but I decided to try out the "pick up in store" option. According to the website, the nearest store to me (in Butler) did not have the phone, so I had to make time to pick it up in Paramus. Verizon's website said the phone would be available in "two hours, usually less" so I waited two hours to call and make sure it was ready. The store phone number on the website goes to the main VZW service number, so I was on hold for five minutes before I got an operator. I told him I was trying to reach the Paramus store; he put me through and I was on hold for another five minutes. Finally someone answered. I told him I was making sure my phone was ready to be picked up; he took my name, put me on hold, got back on to tell me it'd be ready in another hour. Now I was getting steamed. I explained I had to leave work and asked for confirmation that the phone would be waiting when I got there in one hour; the guy on the phone answered "Yeah". And then he hung up on me. By the time I got to the store I was really fit to be tied. I'd printed out my order confirmation and handed it to the first associate who approached me. As someone else here pointed out, there were more associates in the store standing around talking to each other than there were customers. I was directed to another associate who went in the back for about 10 minutes before coming back with the phone, checking my ID and credit card, and handing me my purchase. Honestly I don't know why I expected this transaction to go smoothly. Ideally, the phone would not be answered by a rude moron, my purchase would be ready (or someone would reach out to me--I never got confirmation via email that my pickup was ready but did get an email saying that it had been picked up, duh) and it would have been a positive experience. But Verizon as a corporate entity knows that we depend on our phones and will pay whatever it takes, in high prices, rates, and expenditures of time and goodwill; they couldn't care less about positive customer experience or feedback. read more

FRAUD. Don't give them any information. Don't go here. A rep came over to my wife and asked if she wanted to save money on her FIOS. She gave him the our telephone number but declined all offers. Now when I check we are being charged $30. more a month with a two year agreement that neither I nor my wife ever authorized.(We are monthly with a year guaranteed at a certain rate.) When I called customer retention, then billing they were useless. I asked for their boss, and they said that they didn't take customer calls. I said I could call the CEO's office tomorrow and then asked if he knew what that stood for, he said no. So much for customer service. I'm not at all happy with Verizon. No matter what time I come in, there is ALWAYS a 30+ minute wait (45 minutes AND COUNTING right now, not the 25 promised), even for something as simple as exchanging their faulty chargers that keep breaking only a few months in. Faulty, expensive chargers, I should add, plus inflexible customer service in terms of recognizing loyal customers and giving them needed early upgrades when one's insurance has run out and said customer is then left with no choice other than paying full price for a phone (this last experience about a year ago). Plus my Internet has been slow on my Droid lately. read more
