I know because I talked to customer service reps on the phone and was told that the information i was given was incorrect. When i went to return the devices they made me purchase which was "part of a promotion to save me money" they charged me 70$ for the restocking fee when they were never even opened. I was never told when I signed up for PrePaid $40 that my coverage was smaller than coverage for a contract account. I bought a $49.95 phone at Walmart when I signed with Verizon. It worked for about a month then I could not make or receive a call. I spent two days talking to customer service to no avail. In fact, they finally would not take my call. Went to the Verizon store and my phone worked fine. In fact, my phone worked fine if I went 100 yards from my house. Verizon customer service refused to consider a coverage. Then I stumbled on a comment online that COVERAGE for prepaid phones was less than for contract phones. I had to buy a new much more expensive phone and even then voice mail would not work. All calls went directly to voicemail. Phone did not ring. So I sent my phone, that didn't work in my area, to my niece whose family had a contract with Verison, When they tried to activate it, a Verizon rep claimed I did not have the phone long enough for a new owner to transfer it. I had questioned a service rep as to whether my prepaid phone would work on a contract plan and they assured me it would work. At no time did they bring up the condition of 6 mo mandatory use before I could transfer it. Stay away from Verizon. They are a rip-off. read more

Worst experience I ever had after being a Verizon customer for 20 years. Made an appointment online got to the store at the time of my appointment and they knew nothing about my appointment and I had to wait 30+mins. As others commented, tons of customers standing and waiting because there are no chairs and Verizon employees just walking around. As a guy Dave walked by my wife asked him for help and at first he paused then offered to help us. I researched my options and knew exactly what I wanted AND NEEDED. Dave looked at our data usage and proceeded to argue with me to go to a higher data plan and tried to sell me additional programs. I have a family plan with 5 phones and all but one line was eligible for upgrade which I called Verizon directly that morning and they agreed to allow that line to be upgraded as well so I can go to the store and buy 5 new I phone 6'S. The woman on the phone updated the notes on my account and assured me I can go to the store to pick up the phones the same day. She then sent me a text with her first and last name and said if there was a problem to have store call her. Dave confirmed he saw all of her notes that all 5 phones were eligible but he could not upgrade that one line. I asked to speak with the manager then the manager appeared and had the same bad attitude as Dave. He also read the notes on the account and said it doesn't matter he can't upgrade the line. I asked him to call his Verizon office to speak with the lady who assured me they can do it and he said to me he doesn't need to call anyone he's not doing it.....really? I begin to call the office and after getting so furious I hung up the phone went up to the desk where Dave and the manager were no where to be found and told the other guy behind the counter tell Dave I'm going to AT&T. My wife and I went right over there on other side of highway and not only bought 5 new iPhone 6's we got great customer service from Chris and yes they have chairs to sit on. It's been two weeks and our AT&T service has been excellent throughout the state of NJ AND NYC. read more

Visited this store pretty upset with Verizon, possibly even looking to switch to another network. Although it was very busy I was taken care of right away. The young man who assisted me was extremely patient and very helpful. He carefully explained what he could do to help me but didn't make me feel like I had no choice. The service was so excellent my elderly parents both opened up a line each! He even got us a deal because my father is a veteran (most companies just want your money and don't even let you know it's possible). My parents were so delighted (haven't had real phones in years.) I also upgraded my daughters phone with ease. Very impressed with the service even though I walked out with way more than Anticipated. Since then this is the only Verizon store I visit and Roy is the only employee I see! Very pleased read more

This Verizon store is a busy location. As the norm with other Verizon stores, when you arrive, you're greeted by a sales rep who asks what you need and has you sign in. Once your name is called, you can be helped. I've never had an issue here nor had to wait over 10 to 15 minutes. Staff has been helpful. read more

Please do not pre order a phone here!!!!! They bait you in with false delivery dates and give you a different excuse to why it is not in. Order from verizon online or over the phone and the apple store. They are quick to take your money and tell you what you want to hear. All I wanted was an honest person. This most certainly is the DMV of cell phone stores. The problem with this store is that it is run by a group of unethical, pushy, angry, careless, mentally challenged individuals. So here's my problem, which is actually their fault but they're making it my fault and even had the balls to say to my face that its my problem and not theirs. So, my phone (Moto Droid Razr Maxx) was having software issues about 10 months ago, 2 months after i bought it. So silly me waltzed into Verizon expecting to receive a new phone, I was wrong though. but you probably are thinking that nothing is free at Verizon, and you are right. but here's why i thought that, I walked in the verizon store over a year ago looking for the iphone 4s, the newest iphone at the time, but i was talked out of at the counter by the salesman, main reason because if you crack an iphone screen it costs you a fortune ($170). the salesman told me motorolla is not like apple, they dont rob you, he said, "NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE, YOU BRING IT IN AND WE WILL GIVE YOU A NEW ONE." That was a very big lie because the first time I had a problem (Software issue) they told me i needed to go through insurance and it would cost me $99 just because of a software issue, I didnt have $99 dollars laying around to blow, so i told the guy that the man who sold me this phone said, no matter what i do to this phone you get a new one. He didnt even answer and then tried getting me to use my brothers upgrade to buy the new iphone 5! i just walked right out of the store. about 6 months ago i went back because the software issues were progressing, this time my screen was cracked the smallest bit, (Software problems were pre existing) This time, the sales associate told me that if my screen wasnt cracked i would be under warranty and i would have to recieve a new phone by paying $99 because a software issue is under warranty. but wait, didnt the last guy say that i had to pay 99 dollars for a new one before it cracked for the software issues??? i looked at the guy, explained my story and he said, "thats not my problem" i gave him a dirty looked and walked out cursing under my breath. My problem is, they lied to me when they sold me the phone, and they wont do anything about it. extremely frustraing, the people that work there just deal with angry people all day and are miserable and make my life miserable because they work at a verizon store and im going to college so i dont end up like one of those idiots. This store is AWFUL, i only put up with the stores shit because they do have the best, full coverage service in the area i live in. AT&T you cant send a text in paramus, t-mobile, forget it cant even make a call. im forced to have verizon but they just dont make their costumers happy. Its rediculous! I went on a whim to upgrade my phone. I understand that it's a busy location but when I walked in I was not greeted by a single person. I had to hunt down someone their to sign me in. Once I was helped the guy jay. Worst customer service ever. Completely rude,just kept rolling his eye and not really interested in my business. Stay away from this store. The first time I went to upgrade my phone the lady at the door said there were 5 people in front of me which I didn't mind. I asked if they had the phone I wanted in stock because I didn't want to wait if it wasn't in stock. She asked another guy and he said yes. After waiting 25 minutes I find out that the phone isn't in stock and they would need to order it. I walked out. Two days later I decide to go in and try again. They had the phone in stock and I only waited 5 minutes. Some guy helped me but I forgot his name I told him I wanted to upgrade and I already knew what I wanted. He tells me to wait so he can show me the new plans. I told him the plan I wanted and he comes back with prices and tells me he will add a hotspot device for free and it's included in the plan. I told him I wasn't interested in adding anything to my account and that I would not use it. Then he said ok we can add an iPad to your account. I told him no thanks I just want an upgrade. I could see he was getting annoyed and basically didn't even want to help me with the upgrade and just was rude. I ended up walking out and ordered it over the phone with Verizon. Watch out for these guys they get more commission for adding lines on to the account and they don't really care about upgrades. Horrible experience will never go back. DISHONEST THIEVES I came in to upgrade my cell phone, and hand down my older model to my son. The man helping me told me he had some "gifts" for me, one of which was a tablet. I said I didn't need the tablet, we all had enough devices at home. He kept insisting I take it, saying it was absolutely free, cause Verizon wanted people to "get to know" their tablets. After some back and forth I took it. I never used it once, and found out 6 months later he had signed me up for a new line, they were billing me $10.00 a month for this tablet and there was a $175.00 cancellation fee. Verizon customer service wouldn't issue a refund, and told me to take it up with the Verizon store directly. The same dishonest store with terrible customer service that swindled me in the first place. I've been a verizon customer for 15 years, and cannot believe this is how I am being treated. Customer service sees that the tablet has never been used and still will not issue a refund. STAY AWAY from this store. They will rip you off! read more

I'm not happy with their customer service. My salesman sold me a phone then proceeded to load certain features on it while taking care of another customer at the same time. He couldn't figure how to configure my email so he passed me off to someone else.While I was waiting, I had to listen to the cashier complain for at least 15 minutes straight to the man who was helping me. After waiting 1 and 1/2 hours I felt like I was being held hostage before someone else configured my phone correctly. Also, I found out 2 days later there was a $50 customer loyalty credit that my salesman did not offer to me. I had to called Verizon and got a credit on my bill. read more

Usually in this store you are waiting for an hour just for a chance to speak to someone. However, this time it wasn't too busy and I was "helped" right away. I use the quotations because I can't say I was helped at all. I was having an issue with one of lines in our family plan and needed help to resolve it and get the right phone eligible for an upgrade. I even called customer service beforehand and they said if I went to this location and explained it there should be no issue. Nope, there was still an issue. I tried to explain the situation but the person "helping" me would have none of it. It was basically a five minute conversation which ended with me leaving and calling customer service again. It took 10 minutes and they were able to look into the issue and do what was needed. Even the rep on the phone said that since they are commission based employees, they probably only want to make quick sales and don't want to actually help the customer. Can't say I disagree. I have to say I was close to moving to a different provider after my experience in this store but customer service was able to help me quick and easily. Do not go to this store - there are plenty of new locations close by as well as corporate location within 10-20 minutes. Trust me, you will be glad you went somewhere else!!!! read more

I have been coming to this store for 14 years with out a problem. There were always lines but they are a busy store. The Staff on the whole is helpful but I my recent visit I Was met with a staff that did not care about my phones problems or the fact that I pay the 49$ a month for the total protection insurance plan. He just wanted me to buy a new phone for the new Verizon Edge program. The technician named David R was very unhelpful, and only wanted to sell me a new phone. Even after repeatedly showing him the problem he responded with "that is a 3rd party app and you have to show me with one of our apps." so I showed him with a Verizon app and he still said I should buy a new phone. We left and came back to be helped by Joel who was nice and attempted to help us. He at least got the phone to work. I will not be returning to this store. Everything is cheaper and better service online. I have been a Verizon customer for 14 years trouble free. read more

At the beginning of December 2015, a Verizon Fios sales rep named Jamila came to my door and promised me she could lower my cable bill by $50 a month with increased upload and download internet speed. I was happy with my Cablevision service but when she offered a "no obligation, no cost, 2 week trial where I could keep my Optimum service at the same time." I decided to give it a try. I would not have to pay anything if I decided to end the trial period after 2 weeks. The first warning sign was she didn't have any business cards. She had a laminate with her ID so I decided to let her in and sign up for the free, 2 week trial. When the install took place the technician failed to tell us that our current phone number/service would be cut off. My wife works from home and it wasn't until a few hours into the day that we realized our number was cut off. Verizon gave us a new phone number without telling us. This was December 7th. Upon texting Jamila, she promised to get us our old number back right away. On December 10th I texted her for asking for an update as I had not heard back from her since the 8th. I never did hear from her but our old phone number magically was turned on again. After this experience I decided to cancel my service after the 2 week period. Here's where the fun began. The CSR I spoke to on the phone said I would be charged the installation fee plus the 2 weeks I had the service! Moreover, I received an email the following day saying I was being charged almost $1,000 for the three set top boxes and remotes. The bill would be forgiven once they received the equipment back. I called Verizon again to complain. They sent my shipping labels to send the equipment back. Once it was shipped the charge was removed. However, since then I have received a bill totaling over $400 for the following: Installation fee, 2 weeks of service, and an early termination fee!! There is no way in the world I'm paying this bill. I spoke to a customer service rep and told him I never would have agreed to the 2 week trial if I was told I'd have to pay for the service. I was still paying for Cablevision so why would I agree to pay Verizon at the same time. Verizon Fios is an unscrupulous company. I have read similar complaints on other consumer advocate websites. They should be investigated by regulatory agencies for deceptive business practices read more
