On August 15, 2018 in the morning we went to the Verizon Corporate store located at 20 Crescent Drive, Ste. 5-d in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. The purpose of our visit was to find a solution to the IPhone 6 plus which was cutting in and out during phone calls. Palwasha Ali determined the IPhone 6 plus could not be repaired and we would need to change phones. My GF repeatedly expressed her concern over her photos as the most important part of her phone. Palwasha assured us that all the information would be uploaded into the ICloud. Relying on Palwasha's experience and confidence it seemed she knew exactly what she was doing. My GF and I agreed to upgrade her phone to the new IPhone X. Palwasha started downloading the information into the IPhone X. As the phone was downloading the information from the ICloud, Palwasha wanted us to delete all the information from the old IPhone 6 Plus. Palwasha assured us everything is fine. Palwasha began pulling up screen after screen on the old IPhone 6 Plus and asked Carrie to push the button which would delete all the photos. Carrie never had a chance to read the screens because Palwasha was so fast with those screens. Carrie had to personally push the button. Palwasha pulled up at least three screens requiring Carrie to press delete. Palwasha advised us to go home immediately and connect the IPhone X to our network and physically place the phone as close as possible to the router which we did. At that point I looked at the photo library and it was empty. The 500+ photos were missing as well. Then began the process of calling both the Verizon store and Apple support to find out what's going on and where are the pictures. I returned to the store in the late afternoon and spoke with the manager John Basile. John insisted this was not a Verizon issue, but an Apple issue. John provided his business card. I called John later than night concerned about the absence of pictures. John assured me that 17GB can take some time about 1GB per hour to download and that I need to give it some time. He also said that he wasn't working on Thursday but he would be there at 9am. I called John's number Thursday morning before the store opened because we wanted the old IPhone 6 Plus back. I left him a voicemail at 9:30am. The Verizon store opens at 10am. When I arrived at 10:30 John was dressed in Verizon attire. Clearly not only was he there but he was working on Thursday. Anyway when I asked for the IPhone 6 Plus back John said they already shipped it that morning. Ultimately John blamed Apple and the Apple ICloud for the failure. Insisting that Verizon did nothing wrong. There were numerous conversations with Apple representatives about having a chance to save the data. As a result of those conversations I was hoping for a miracle and a chance to have an engineer retrieve the data. When speaking with Apple we have been able to determine how this happened. When the backup was performed that went according to plan. The ICloud had all the information. When we came back to the store for the new IPhone X to download from the ICloud that processed correctly as well. When we saw the pictures starting to load from the ICloud that performed as anticipated. When Palwasha had us delete the photos from the old phone, Apple determined Palwasha did not log us out of the Apple account before deleting the pictures because there was no other explanation for how this occurred. So, when the old IPhone 6 Plus was given the command to delete all photos and it was still connected to the ICloud it started deleting all the photos from the ICloud. This explains why the 500 photos were showing in the new IPhone X and when the pictures started deleting from the ICloud they vanished from the new IPhone X at the same time. We have lost thousands of pictures spanning over a decade of pictures. It was done by the actions of Palwasha Ali and Verizon. read more

Review is for the overall service of Verizon.. Calling themselves the most reliable 3G network is laugh worthy, the only thing reliable is knowing the actual 3G connection lasts for 5 minutes of every hour before dropping and staying at 1x. I mean come on, I had faster internet speeds on my phone using Metro PCS back in the day, let's face it Verizon, the quality of your phone service is not even close to being worth what you charge your customers monthly. You really should change your slogan to "Verizon wireless, 56k bandwith worthy phone service". How can they possibly run a 4G network this year when 3G obviously is proving too much for them to even handle.. hurry up and end contract so I can move on to something better. read more

Despite all the negative service comments by other patrons, my experience was quite different. I went in just to learn some new information as I was not ready to upgrade my plan that day. I was warmly greeted by a nice woman and then almost immediately was working with a Mr. Danny Tablan. I asked a lot of questions about the plans, stuff that he probably already told me. The guy was very patient with me and seemed genuinely interested in helping me understand the difference between the old way of signing a two year contract, and the new way of signing a two-year contract (pay signing fees and phone down payment vs pay for the phone in monthly payments and only taxes at signing). Wow, this is really going to help my decision once I sign up. Danny's patience was very much appreciated. If you can, try to set up and appointment with him before going in -- he will give you the utmost best service. He is also a very cool, knowledgeable sales rep. After all knowledge was shared and it was confirmed that I understood everything, he did not pressure me into signing that day. What a relief! Many times have I been poked and bothered by sales reps to buy something that day. Awesome! Additional note: Luckily, it was not very crowded this day. I came in to try to fix a problem with the screen protector they sold me. The manager, John, was incredibly dismissive, unhelpful and rude to me. He said nobody ever complained about the problem, which is BS. If you google their screen protector, you will see lots of unhappy customers. Terrible experience at this store! Ignoring me (physically & figuratively) the "cusomer service" staff deleted everything. If I could give -5 starts I would. Well let's start from the beginning. Back on November 16, 19 I went to Verizon store in pleasant hill to see what do they have to offer. I was assisted by representative Lailoma W. Since we were looking for a new cell service only, the deal offered didn't sound too good, so we were about to turn around and leave. On top that we were informed that phone purchased at att are not compatible with verizon. When this lady indicated that Verizon had great promotion if we switch our phones to new which included $500 trading value of the phone and $200 rebate for switching to Verizon. So we decided to go for it. But how wrong this decision came to be. Lailoma checked our phones and stated while the phones look good from outside they do not know what was done on inside that we want to switch. So she basically accused us on tampering our phones and then come to Verizon and use the promo to get new. Also, I might say, that before we left the store that evening we asked is there anything we should do to complete the purchase? And Lailoma assured us that all will be taken care of. Well long story short few months passed by connection on their unlimited plan was and still is very poor. To this day I am on 3g service. I almost never had a connection in the city at work and other places. Called customer service they told me I have to up my plan so I can get better service. Then I never received my rebates. Called to customer service and they informed that they see the notes but they don't see why I haven't receive it. They transferred to rebates department and I was sent back to the store for assistance. But Covid pandemic hit and i was careful not to go in and expose myself and other to possibility of virus. So I go back in today to inquire if they could unlock my phone and ask if I would be able to get those $200 rebates for each phone. The same lady assisted me. She called customer service on my phone on speaker. The guy on customer service kept repeating my ssn out loud while on a speaker exposing it to public around me. Although there were very few people at the store I would think ssn is pretty sensitive information. Also, I was informed no rebates would be granted because the time passed by. Representative Lailoma comes around and states well you did not apply for rebate online. I mean okay, it was in a very fine print that I did not read because I trusted representative to be professional and inform me that when you go home please request rebates especially when I asked if there is anything else I need to do. On top of that, at the time I was changing my phones I informed her and was very clear that I do not want my phones to be locked in case I have to go to different country. She informed that it will not be, well they are locked and it passed more than 60days. The lady had audacity to say well there is nothing you can really do because you didn't file the application. Okay that's fine I trusted her be professional and she was/is nothing but. In conclusion run for the hills if you will have Lailoma as your representative, cause you will suffer for two or more years to come with your cell service and other good things. Update: Oh on top of that I had to remind Representative Lailoma that it is pandemic and she needs to put her mask on. read more

I left my previous phone carrier of 3 years to come to verizon because of the good things I heard about verizon. Great service and unlimited plans right? Well, little did I know that the verizon stores selling you the devices are not up to par! I'm not a big tech-savvy person so going into store that sells cell phones I assumed the sales associates would know what they were selling me. When I asked for the iPhoneX "with the biggest storage" the sales woman comes out with the phone out of the box and immediately puts on the case I picked out. She seemed new and unfamiliar with the phone, which so was I, and she needed to ask the manager Lauren for help. So from this point Lauren helps me and gets me all set up. I'll be honest I had a great experience at the store even with the manager. Ironically my name is Lauryn and my boyfriends name is Travis and her name is Lauren and her boyfriends name is Travis. So, 2 months after using my phone I get a notice saying my storage is already full and my boyfriend checks out my phone finding that it's not 256gb that I originally requested for. I didn't think it would be an issue due to the fact I had a connection with the manager. I was sure she would remember within two months of my visit. Unfortunately, that was not the case and Lauren, who was kind when selling me the phone, had the audacity to tell me verbatim "you're fabricating this story just because you ordered the wrong phone". I never write reviews ever, especially negative ones, but this place and this manager is not pleasant. Please don't waste your time like I did. I recently switched from T-Mobile to Verizon Wireless because T-Mobile didn't provide coverage in the Sierra Mtns where our vacation home is. I was with T-Mobile for 7 years and I was very happy with their customer service and their great deals so my transition from them to Verizon was a sad one. My experience with the transition, though, was a VERY smooth one! I chatted with a rep at the Verizon site and she answered all my questions about the I-phone I was ordering. She helped me step-by-step with placing my order and I was able to place it and pick it up at this Verizon location within a 30 minute time frame. The process with transferring my same cell # from T-Mobile to Verizon was also surprisingly easy. I've only been to this Verizon location twice but both times have been very fast and the customer service has been super awesome. The first time I walked in, a rep asked me what assistance I needed and directed me to the rep who was able to complete my new phone purchase and order. I was in and out with my new phone that I ordered online quickly. My second visit, I needed to purchase a car charger and a phone screen protector for my phone and that was also a fast visit (even though the store was crowded and busy). I stood in line and a rep approached me and asked me for help within seconds. I told him what I wanted and he directed me to another rep who was able to give me what I needed and rang me up on the tablet that he was on. The experience was very quick (especially during the holidays) and extremely fortunate since I was on my lunch break from work. So far, I am very pleased with my new I-phone and with the service I have received here. Both times have been great and I am glad my transition from T-Mobile to Verizon has been awesome. It was time for an upgrade and I dreaded going into the store for fear the long wait and someone trying to "sell" me something I didn't need. I was so wrong about this location. Checked in with the store greeter. He had a sales person with me in minutes. Erik (sales person) was great. Offered his recommendations but ultimately let me make the decision without any force. He assisted with my old phone and the recycle process and made sure I received proper credit toward my new purchase. Once with was done he introduced me to Josh to complete my phone set up. There was a couple glitches when we first transferred everything over but josh stayed right there with undivided attention until my phone was working perfectly. In and out, less than an hour. Went here to get a new I phone. The lady who helped me did know what she was doing, but was not dressed professionally at all (hoodie, t-shirt, jeans) and she was not very friendly at all. I don't know if its part of her culture, to not be friendly, but I did not like her attitude very much. I know I'm not perfect, but c'mon, really? You can be friendlier than a cockroach. This is the second Verizon store that I walked into today and I was treated exactly the same as their Walnut Creek location. I needed to get another screen protector for my S10+ because the one that this store put on new on December 6th is already peeling. I also wanted to see about getting a Samsung watch for my phone. I walked in and sat at the right side table. Even though I walked past a salesperson nothing was said to me. An employee was working with clients on the left half of the table while I was randomly looking at the screen protectors before sitting down. I had questions about what type is stronger or getting a glass one or something more effective than the one that's peeling from less than 20 days of usage. A new client came in after me and got assisted. In my five minutes of waiting no one said that we'd be with you shortly. After seeing that I wasn't being asked anything nor acknowledged I left. read more

I am so watchful when it comes to customer service since I have been in the healthcare industry my whole career. Akeem, the service specialist, was so respectful and patient with me. I brought in a phone with over 2000 contacts, over 1500 photos, with very slim electronic knowledge and he spent a lot of time helping me transfer everything to my new phone. Second Time staff informed picking up a SIM card for services to be started and another woman young, not listening or asking any questions of what order I was picking up grabs a new SIM card slaps the card into my phone then closes my phone hands phone that store set up post paid in 2016 again didn't test the connection and whether calls are received or could be made to Verizon satellite or other cell or web based systems or set up switching for additional paid services that I requested for my account due to being a medical provider my patient's life and businesses including court legal cases in progress communication is most important timely responses to missed calls for immediate call back to lawyers & doctors for he and I are vulnerable seniors depending on phones for communication to manage many details of medical care and court cases in progress. Second case that this same store didn't provide any competent testing of the service that depends on SIM card accuracy of which this store and Philipino Tech support failed testing of phone numbers both failed to connect properly with Verizon towers or satellites for logging calls including failing to accurately switch call to phone SIM to receive ringing phone if not answered after many rings only then transfer call to voicemail that paid extra fee to read instantaneously. None of that worked well with someone at that store switching that service off not receiving any calls caused loss of court cases and my patient's freedom court unable to contact senior on Verizon phone from this store instead state of Washington removed my patient to another stranger place where he never wanted to be punishment required to live with a daughter who actually never cared if her father lived or died better if the later large estate she would inherited control. Thank you Verizon for the Oscar for the worst mismanaged two SIM cards and service again in June failing to test install another SIM failing to register SIM that store installed in same phone no calls received now in hospital emotional meltdown because Verizon really planned on NOT actually providing good CS for seniors who may like new tech which is worse than land line phone. Give me a land line phone wires that work and my own answering machine which doesn't depend on Verizon techs who can't test phone they sell! read more

Bad experience due to a manager named Kenny. My daughter's iPhone was defective as delivered. After troubleshooting through chat, the rep offered to have a new phone delivered to a nearby store since it required a signature and I knew no one would be around to sign for it. My wife received a call at work from Kenny who was very agitated that he received the phone at his store....WTF? He said the phone would need to be picked up by 5 that afternoon or it would be sent back. We picked up the phone from a really nice employee named Chris. Thanks Chris! Kenny, get a clue. read more

The one star I give this store is in relation to one customer service rep. I went to the PH store to upgrade my phone and noticed some new promos to some plans. I asked the customer service rep, named Victor, (a chinese dude with a huge head) some questions about some of the plans, instant messaging packages, etc. Victor, was not only completely misunderstanding my question but was totally rude and aggressive. He was a complete wack job. I couldn't understand how a few polite, simple, normal customer questions was getting him so worked up! I was so surprised at his behavior, I just walked away.
