I received great customer service until it was clear to the sales associate and manager that I was not going to pay retail for a new phone. Then, they totally ignored me. I was up front that my phone had fallen in water, and that it had continued to work after falling in the water. The sales associate was totally cool with me until he removed my SD card from the phone and said, "This phone has water damage." Then he tried hard to get me to buy a new phone, even though I have insurance and could get a replacement for $99. He avoided talking numbers. His explanation of the cost of buying a new phone was deliberately deceptive. He told me I could pay retail and that $450 of the purchase price would be "applied" to my bill. I asked him directly if he was saying that the $450 would be credited to my bill. That's what "applied" means to me. He said that I could pay off $450 over a period of months by having the payments added to my bill. When I said that I could afford to pay retail up front, he got really shifty. I decided to get a replacement phone from insurance instead, and the dude gave me the third-party insurer's number and split. Neither he nor the manager said goodbye to me when I left even though I said goodbye to them. I probably will go back to this store when I need a new phone. I hope to get the same sales associate. I will have him show my lots of phones. Then I will leave without buying one and buy it online instead. read more

Went in today for just a screen protector for my phone. I was told it was going to be a 45 minute to an hour wait, just for someone to go into the back and grab a screen protector for me. If you ask me that his poor customer service, when you could just walk back there grab it and come out in less than two minutes. I think that is not only disrespectful to the customer, but also a slap in the face for how much money I pay for Verizon. I will definitely be calling the corporate office. I was told there was nine people ahead of me, however I wasn't asking for software help or to trade out a phone. It was just a screen protector. This place really needs to read evaluate their customer service skills. I think that is just ridiculous. I will definitely be considering changing service providers as well. If this is how they are going to treat their customers, then there are plenty of other service providers that have just as good coverage that will be more than happy to go grab me a dang screen protector. Not only did you lose a sale today but you also lost a loyal customer of almost 15 years. I will never come back to this place again. I truly feel disrespected. read more

Went in at 10:09 am to get a new iPhone 7, we got checked in and weren't seen until 11:30, only had two people working there. When it was finally our turn we were pleasantly surprised with the help we received from the young man, we didn't get his name but he was very knowledgeable and respectful. Last weekend my husband and I went in to this Verizon store to upgrade phones and add a line to our service plan. We were promptly helped despite the store being packed with people. Here is an update on my last experience with Verizon regarding my yelp review of them. Their response to my complaint was to tell me " Please keep in mind Verizon Wireless doesn't actually manufacture the phone or accessories they simply provide the service for the device". I came in to pay off some devices and they failed to inform me that I would lose about $750 in promotional credit if I did. I am now going through the painful process of trying to reclaim all that and I have been on the phone with VZ customer service for hours and counting. When I called the store back they were completely cavalier about it...denying that they knew it would happen and then implying that even if they did they would just allow future customers to proceed in similar circumstances. His words were along the lines of "we're not going to stop someone from paying off their phone if they insist on it". Who would insist on it if they knew they were going to lose hundreds of dollars? And of course he offered no apologies. Good news is that I was in and out fast...bad news is that the time I've invested with their customer service has more than outweighed that. read more

I will never return to this particular store again, simply because the manager on duty was no help whatsoever and literally was standing around doing absolutely nothing (not once did I see him interact with any customers the whole 45 minutes I was there). Long story short, I was sent on a wild goose chase to replace a product to another store 20 miles away (when basically the whole issue could've easily been resolved in their own store) but apparently the manager was too lazy to actually do his job with restocking the defective product and replacing it (note, they had what I needed in stock too.) The rep helping us was doing his best to be helpful and was personable, but whenever he asked the manager for any type of assistance, we basically were shunned and were told there was nothing to do for us because of their "company policy" which was pure BS. We ended up going to another store to replace our product and told by that manager that it could've easily been resolved at the first store and she was even baffled how they treated us. In other words, thanks PH Verizon for wasting our time and gas for nothing. To add insult to injury, there also isn't any way to get a hold of a district manager for the area and when you go on the Verizon website to put in a formal complaint, there is no phone number or email addresses to access either. You call the store and it just transfers you to a rep, so in other words, this is one of those situations that you have to suck it up and ppl will continue to be dicked around because it's obviously not an concern even if you're a 10+ year customer. Disappointed to say the least and this is by far the worse Verizon store I have ever stepped foot in. This store obviously need a 101 course with customer service and should re-evaluate their management team representing their products because it's unacceptable and lousy. read more

I patiently waited my turn with my daughter and was so shocked to hear and watch how one of the employees spoke disrespectfully to an elderly woman who was confused and needed more patience and explanations so she could understand what she was buying. Great customer service. Obviously if you come in on a very busy day, you can't expect things to be "fast", so I'm sure this is why some of their reviews are bad. This location has the worst customer service ever. Just waited 30 minutes to upgrade phone only to be told that our account data is not current. We have been in this exact location 3x's this year to straighten out the account and yet as soon as we walk out the store the data is gone. The people working here are extremely rude and do not offer any options. Corporate office needs to train these people on customer services. Horrible customer service, expensive plans and over-priced products. Verizon doesn't care. They don't have to. Their employees are self centered and have no interest in you if they determine you're not interested in all their upselling. I bought a $700 phone and all the tech did was push a couple of buttons, tell me the phone would activate and walked away. Did not wait for the phone to come up or even make sure I knew it's basic operation. On top of that, their coverage isn't as good as they claim. read more

I recently went onto a group plan after having a pay as you go plan for 5 months. Because I didn't have my pay as you go plan for 6 months or more, I couldn't keep my phone number that I've had for years. I found out that if I kep the pre-paid phone (and my new phone) for a few more weeks, I can get my old phone number switched onto my new phone & just cancel the old phone plan. PARIS, at the pleasant hill location in crescent plaza went out of her way to help me. It took me 3 trips to the store to get it switched' but she worked on solving it while I wasn't at the store so we could get it done faster. I can't say enough about how great she was & how hard she worked to get the switch done. read more

I just had the worst experience ever. The workers name was Jonathan and he was a so rude to me and I'm never going back to that Verizon store. He asked me what I wanted and I told him the iPhone 6s I currently have the 6 and I wanted to upgrade but I don't want to get the 7. He refused to sell me the 6s and kept pressuring me to buy the 7. I don't want to get rid of my headphone jack. So I kindly told him no thank you I came in for the 6s. He then went on and on about how the 7 is better and how he doesn't recommended the 6s. I then denied and at this point was getting anxious that I'm not going to be able to get the phone I want. He kept pressuring me to get the 7 and I just said no I'll think about it. Please I just want the 6s. He refused to give me the 6s and just stared at me until I finally said I didn't want anything and I'm okay with my old phone ATM. He seemed annoyed and said okay that's up to you and then still as I was leaving tried to sell me the 7. I JUST WANT THE 6s please. So I just left mad and annoyed that I still have my old crappy phone and not the phone I came in to get. So Jonathan you just lost your sale buddy. This was honestly the worst store I have ever had the unfortunate luck to enter. My phone stopped working one day, I walk into the nearest Verizon store and ended up leaving feeling very insulted and with no new phone or any helpful information. It took at least 5 mins for any to even want to acknowledge me, there was literally 2 customers and 8 employees doing nothing. I have insurance and everything, new iphone4s, long time customer. None of this mattered to these guys, I had to go to the desk to get any help. This EXTREMLY rude guy (bald with goatee, don't ask him for anything) actually heard me, did not say a word and just pointed at me muttering at a coworker to help "this guy". I asked the same bald guy another question minutes later and he had the audacity and complete lack of common decency to simply give me a foul look and walk away from me staring at his iPad shaking his head. The coworker he had pointed to me told me he was looking into the situation, started typing as if he were looking up information, and after a few minuets I asked if he had the info I had asked for, "sorry sir, I can't help you" then went back to pretending to work and ignored me. I was not rude, I'm very cordial and dress normally (didn't look like a homeless person or anything like that). So my advice, never go to this store unless you like feeling needlessly insulted and ignored by rude useless employees. read more

This Verizon sucks, the experience is horrible. Called in the morning and scheduled an appointment at 5 pm got there at 5 pm on the dot and got served around 5:30, hat the hell is the appointment for. They sold us everything from the store and got us into buying a tablet for $49.95 and was told the restocking fee for returns is from $35. Not telling us that the restocking fee for tablet is $70 plus the $35 connection fee. I went and returned the 2 tablets the following day because I figured I would rather an Ipad and end up paying $210 for returning them unopened. That same day they sold me the tablet I got a new plan for 2 phones and they sold me all the accessories that you can get from Amazon for 75% less. I returned all the accessories and the tablet still ended up paying more. The sales rep is a nice kid but he is quite inexperienced with the product he's selling. He doesnt even know which screen protector goes with what phone and even the case. It took him ages just to finally get things right. He didn't even bother to explain to me that when you sign up for a new iphone ($199) you get taxed for the full price of $599. A little explanation would have been helpful and customers time is valuable its ethical to honor an appointment a five or ten minute wait is reasonable but half an hour and you can see sales people talking to one another. read more

After making multiple purchases (2 smart phones and a tablet) at this store earlier this fall, I went in for help with my smart phone which locked up at least once a day, requiring a re-start of the phone. When I arrived at the store I was met by a "customer service(?)" agent and I was told that I could not receive technical help without a pre-set appointment. What?!?!?!?! I was then told that the next available appointment was in about 1 hour 15 min. I said I would take that appointment time, and that I would spend the hour browsing the nearby shops - this is not a large shopping center, just a little plaza. But I was told that I could not have the appointment if I left the store...I had to stand around in the store for over an hour - while all reps focused on sales - until someone was available to help me. I can't believe they can stay in business with such an attitude!!! I would highly recommend that people avoid this store. They're very nice when you're a purchaser, lousy after the purchase. read more

Our experience here in Verizon was pretty BAD. We used to use T-mobile. Since they mentioned Verizon's network is the best. So my 16 year old son suggested me to switch for text message. I got a camera phone (exim) was pretty cool. (I still think that phone is more a camera, than a phone. I like that camera phone.) But the phone quality was not so good, comparing with my previous T-mobile. So they did software patch for my son's phone. (I think they should do it before they sale the phone to us.) My phone hange there when sending picture message. Since it's within 25 days. I decided switch back to T-mobile based on our experience. And today, my wife get our bill on this short period of time. They charged us on web access even I asked to block access the web in the very begining. Even VERIZON display a better coverage map, but I need to tell you, that may not have to be for every Verizon customer. They told me that your phone is not good enough, your home is not at right place where they can cover. Bababa. Actually, our home is right next to treat blvd. I feel lucky that we stepped back before it's too late for two years. read more

Went in verizon store in pleasant hill to get a family plan , took my own phones to get activated . Already had an unlimited data plan for me and my wife , pretty sure I was going to lose that when I changed it. Kyle Wiggins was the sales associate that said , "he could get me an unbelievable offer " turns out they couldn't activate the phones because they were locked . So Kyle assured me that he didn't change my plan , he gave me his business card and said he would help me when I got the phones unlocked. A week later I got my bill and I was shocked , turns out they had changed my plan , I lost my unlimited data and my bill shot up by $60 a month . I called verizon right away and they assured me that they would make it right . Well my next bill went up again by $60 , so now my monthly bill is $254 for 2 phones , 6 gb of data and unlimited talk and text , I was aghast at this . I went to the store and spoke to the manager Mischa , right away he was defending Kyle , saying what a great employee he was , never mind that me , a 6 year customer was pretty miffed at what this guy did. The conversation With the manager went nowhere , basically these guys are all buddies and the customer is their enemy . You really want to be careful in this store ,watch what you sign and agree to because what they verbally tell you is a lot different from what you sign. You know it's easy to be nice to people when they are giving you money and buying your products, but when it comes to solving a problem for a customer , they don't want to help. The manager was looking at me like I was the problem , never mind that I have been a loyal customer for over 6 years and paid my bill on time. I went over to tmobile and got a family plan with 4 lines for $100 month , best move I ever made . I suggest everyone do the same and dump this overcharging behemoth they call verizon. read more
