I went into the store on Labor Day, it was fairly busy. They told me it would be about a 40-minute wait, which was about right. Always nice to have an accurate wait time. Other than that, this review is mainly for the customer service guy JP. I came in to get a new iphone. He told me about the deals going on and I considered getting a new ipad bc of the deal, he was informative, but I didn't feel pressured. He thoroughly answered all my different questions about deals and pricing. When he put my phone together for me, he was very thorough and careful, which I really appreciated, especially after I heard his coworker mention that it was already time for him to be off! This rating is not for the Verizon Wireless network but for the service that my boyfriend and I received at this particular store. Came to this store wanting to switch carriers to Verizon because we were tired of crappy service. When we first walked in we were greeted by someone at the door and then someone came up behind him and assisted us with the rest. His name was Kyle. Kyle asked us why were there and we told him because we want to sign up with Verizon and get iphone 6's. He told us about the different plans but at the same time he was talking to us he was looking elsewhere through out the store and on his personal phone. It seemed like he didn't even care that we were giving Verizon our business but it didn't stop us from still getting Verizon. As we chose our plans he asked us what kind of phones we wanted and we let him know the iphone 6's. We had to tell him numerous of times that we wanted to get the iphones because he kept forgetting. Well maybe if he was actually paying attention to the customer instead of his own personal phone then he can actually take all the information in. As we were doing the contracts he didn't even go over any of the contracts, all he said was, "sign here and sign here". At least tell us what we're signing for!! Who the hell hired these customer service reps? As I was listening to other peoples conversation with other sales reps I wish that we were helped by someone other than Kyle. Came in cause I have about 7 months left on my contract and cracked my lcd screen on my phone so tmobile has this promotion where they will pay off remaining amount owed on contract . Waited for not that long store is very professional and clean I must say met this guy Kyle, who not only upgraded me but also saved me quite a bit on my bill. Have always had the worst time coming in here but Anthony changed that. The only excellent customer service I've ever gotten at this location. I always tried to avoid coming in. When I had insurance on my old phone they didn't cover the damage and I got a refurbished phone that pooped out not long after. To say the least I was very distrusting. The good news is that the store has a good selection of phones, friendly service and an efficient way of dealing with lines of customers. The wait usually isn't too long. The bad news is that they make mistakes on placing orders, give incorrect or misleading information on anything that's even slightly complicated, and claim to be utterly powerless to fix any problems. Expect to be refered to the telephone customer service if anything goes wrong with your order. Then you can expect the telephone reps to suggest that you go to the store, BTW. FWIW I think this may be an overall change in Verizon's approach, since previously they were pretty good about dealing with problems if you had a reasonable case. The staff varies considerably on their level of expertise - if you're lucky, and the sales person has the same phone, you'll be in better shape. I've had discussions with very helpful and knowledgable staff there, and also talked with others that really did not know much beyond the sales pitch. read more

Been having an ongoing issue with my phone that has required multiple trips to the Verizon store. So yesterday, Sunday, I found myself with yet another smart phone technician trying to work out the mess the system update created on my phone. Seemed all was lost and we were in the process of ordering a new phone for the 2nd time (not very happy) when Joshua had a brilliant idea and tried that one more thing and it worked!!!! Yaaaaay! I've found the folks here at Verizon, Pleasant Hill, quite helpful. I walk in with any cellphone problem and it gets solves, sometimes by a more experienced tech than the one I initially speak with. It's true they are at times very busy, which means a wait. Best time to go, I've found, is around 5 PM. read more

Grab a nice cup of coffee, because this might get long. After I got my Droid on launch day, it began suffering from the dreaded loose battery cover problem. At the same time, my girlfriend's enV touch was also suffering from issues, such as the proximity sensor not working, and the phone just randomly crashing. We both went into this store to see about possibly getting some service on our phones. Two reps came over to look at my phone. They pulled the battery cover off, poked and prodded at it, before one of them decided she had the perfect solution. She went to the back and...TA DAH! Scotch tape fixes everything. I wasn't having it. I said I'd like a better solution because I think having scotch tape, I mean, c'mon, SCOTCH TAPE on a $500+ phone is absurd. So the other rep pulls out some grip tape in the shape of a bandage, and tapes the battery cover on and hands the phone back. I figured trying to get any level of service here is wasting my time and energy, so I gave up. And then my girlfriend came back, saying that they wouldn't touch her phone because the warranty is void. Why? Because "makeup got into the proximity sensor". Never mind the fact that my girlfriend doesn't wear makeup. If you have to deal with Verizon, go to the one in Walnut Creek. This one's a joke. read more

I have now dealt with this store several times for new phones, to switch from T-Mobile and for tech advice on the use of my iPhone 4S. I also just checked on the availability of iPhone 6s there yesterday. I have found personnel to be helpful, but they have also given me erroneous information regarding Apps, which caused me to spend several hours to undue what they did. You usually need to sign up for appointments, which is OK, I guess. They have been on time for such appointments. Yesterday they did not seem to know much about Verizon's advertised deals re the iPhone 6. On the whole, an average experience compared to AT&T & T-Mobile. read more

The staff here are horrible. Upon arrival they will take your info. Then the waiting game begins. Then when you get someone to help you they lie. I had to return to the store three times and still no results. The store manager Misha Moustakes told me that the problem I had was my fault. I give up. AT&T or Sprint here I come . I wish there were zero or negative stars, because that's what this Verizon location would get from me! I have never had such a negative experience or been so disrespected as I was in this store today. I purchased an iPhone 7plus and 3 accessories for my mother for a Mother's Day gift. I asked not once, but twice if my mother would be notified in any way that this iPhone had been purchased as we are on a family plan with 4 devices. I was assured twice that she would not be notified and should not be concerned. Well...not only was she notified, but she was notified by email and by text! The notification read "there has been a change in your account, if you did not make this change please call this number.....". Well of course she called to tell them she did not make any changes and was told there was an iPhone purchased at this store for this account. I was so disappointed and upset as our surprise was ruined. I went back to the store today to return the accessories and to speak to a manager about what happened. When I went in I was asked to sign in and told it would be a half hour wait...I told the greeter I did not want to wait, that I had a quick return and a complaint I'd like to speak a manager about. I waited 15 minutes for the manager only to be laughed at and belittled. When I told him what happened he laughed and replied "ahhhh that sucks!" I was shocked. I told him I would like to return this merchandise and he told me to sign in and it would be a half hour...I asked if there was anyone, anywhere in the store that could make this return he says "no", and said "you can't make this return for me?" He said "no!" There are lots of other customers in this store that are before you. Right about that time the saleswoman who lied and sold me the phone and accessories walked out from the back area...as soon as she saw me, she turned around and went back through the door. I have notified Verizon corporate office and will be returning not only the accessories, but now the phone as well and purchasing from Target! Trust me and trust the horrible reviews here, this place is awful, the sales people have very little product knowledge and the manager is so far from a manager...he is a rude person who obviously needs more training and was never taught respect growing up! I own a business in this same town, I would NEVER treat a customer as I was treated today, but you can be sure I will tell all of my customers to avoid Verizon in Pleasant Hill at all cost!!! Had a HORRIBLE experience yesterday at the Verizon in Lafayette. The snot faced punk running the store was so rude to me I grabbed my two phones and left. Well, he was not only rude, he was a LIAR. Thank goodness I went to the Pleasant Hill store and Kayla helped me. The Lafayette jerk said I was "out of contract" and would have to pay all kinds of extra fees. Kayla showed me how that was not true. He also had nothing available in the store, but I was able to get everything I needed right there in Crescent Plaza on the spot. I was literally in tears I was so stressed out about my phone crashing in the middle of a very important business day, but Kayla got me re-connected in 30 minutes with a new phone and back in business. If I am ever looking for a personal assistant I am going to try and hire her! I will NEVER go to another Verizon store but Crescent Plaza again!!! read more

Talk about useless and unhelpful. I called in the morning to reserve a phone to purchase and it was all set according to the guy I spoke with on the phone. All I had to do was show up and pick it up but that was not the case. I came at the time I said I would be there only to learn I had to wait 35 minutes to see someone. Now I understand it's the holidays and it's busy but if I needed to make an appointment to pick up a phone you should have told me on the phone and I would have made the appointment. I have been a Verizon customer for years and maybe I've been lucky all this time but I have never come across such stupidity. I apologize for wanting to surprise my husband for his birthday with a new expensive phone and sign our lives away for another two years. Thanks for nothing Pleasant Hill store. The people in this place are a complete joke. Not only are they rude as can be, but they are very unprofessional. I don't expect for my phone or my bill to be judged when I walk in there to get a different, older phone activated, I expect to be treated with respect and informed of specials or whatever it is they are suppose to inform you of while they are HELPING me. Due to my phone, the original droid, completely dying on me I had to activate an old phone from a family member and expected it to be an easy, peaceful event. On the contrary, I had the very opposite happen while I was waiting there for the man to activate it. There were three people behind the counter, the man helping me and two other woman. The man started to mock at the fact that I wasn't ready to sign a new contract and that the phone I am about to use is a joke all while the woman standing next to him were laughing and staring at me. This was truly my worst consumer nightmare ! Went in to replace a lost I pad . Was told by initially nice employee that I had insurance . Spoke to agent and was told that although the device was worth $155.00 my deductible would Force me to pay $199.00. Then because I use the device professionally to teach dance I decided t buy a new faster model. Was told the one I needed would be available in 15 minutes because of their new timed safe I think it is timed to prevent sales from occurring!. After 15 minutes was told that the locked safe malfunctioned and I would Need to wait another 30 minutes for it to open! The manager was unapologetic and surly as was the initially helpful person. The device cost over $400.00 and I was brushed aside and treated rudely. Stay away from this store if at all possible .Disinterested I'll trained help with horrible indifferent attitudes . Went to the Pleasant Hill store yesterday. Told Jordan three times that the number to be added to the new phone was my grandson's. I'm not "Techno-savvy", so I wanted to ensure that everything was fine. It seemed he couldn't get onto the next customer fast enough. Slapped a SIM card in the new phone, "programmed it", we paid, told us to "transfer your data from the cloud, if you need help, go to the website." He could not get rid of us fast enough. Got home. My phone is not working. Why? THE NUMBER ON MY GRANDSON'S PHONE IS MINE!!!! Now, I have to take time off work to get this fixed. I have been a Verizon customer long before they WERE Verizon. Thanks, Pleasant Hill, but I won't be back. I'll go to El Cerrito. At least they ensure that "I'm good to go." Before they "dump me" and move onto the next customer. If could give this store a ZERO, I would. It's unfortunate that Sprint or AT&T doesn't work in my area, because I would seriously consider switching carriers after this experience! read more

My fiancee dropped her Samsung Prime Core cell phone in the toilet, so we tried the phone in rice bit... it did work, but the SM card stopped. So off to Verizon. We first worked with Lailoma and she gave us a great deal on a new phone and special for a Samsung ipad tablet that I just happen to be looking for. After purchasing the phone we had problems transfering all the data, photo, text to the new phone. So in steps Lauren Randle, she took both phones and we watched those thumbs fly as she stepped through a bunch of unknown to me steps. Lauren ran into an issue and then received help from the Kevin Ferguson, together they transfered all data to Dawn's new phone, all, everything. Talk about great support and fast service. Looking to upgrade or having a problem, look no further, the staff a Verizon in Pleasant Hill will look out for you. I have been with Verizon for 3 or 4 years now. Along with many, but also contrary to many people i have never had a real problem about my phone service. Getting help from this corporate store however is quite another story. My reason for visiting this terrible store was because my phone's reciever does not work unless the call is on speakerphone. In other words i can hear them but they can not hear me. The store employee immediately looked at my phone saw dings and scratches on the side of my phone and began to tell me that i most likely would not be able to get this fixed in store. He told me that the only thing that he could do is a factory reset to see if the software had jammed up somewhere. After resetting my phone we tried a test run. He called my phone from his, and heard nothing. I however heard the echo often caused by poor service. I asked him why it was that the reciever was pulling in enough to echo, but not so he could hear and he replied "Hmmmm, thats weird. I dont know." he started the "unfortunately it seems like you are going to have to go through insurance" speech. And how he didnt want to replace my phone only to have the warehouse charge me full price (300) because the malfunctioning is obviously caused by the physical damage. He never pulled up any account info, asked for a second opinion to give me, the customer any insight as to what could be the issue. Although he did mention i should probably go to the MD wireless also of PH and see if they could help me. Even though you go into a store knowing you arent going to be helped, it is still frustrating to have put little, if any, faith that maybe this time would be different. Of course it wasnt. So i continued my usual routine of dealing with it myself and calling 611, to access my account info (as the employee did not). The woman informed me, after i had told her my story and frustrations of this corporate store, that i have had my phone only since december of last year and is still under factory warranty. I don't know what is worse - having a dental appointment or having to go to the phone store and upgrade your phone. There always seems to be a long line, the sales staff can be a bit cheesy, you pay a boat load of taxes on the "retail price" and you waste a lot of time. NOT at Verizon in Pleasant Hill. I came on an evening after work and braced myself for the horrors described above. I walked in and was immediately and pleasantly greeted by the manager named Chuck. A smile on his face was quickly followed by a "how do you do", etc. Although there were 3 people in front of me, Chuck took the time to hear my concerns, what brought my into the store, and even looked up my account on his tablet to get me started. By the time my salesman Carlos came to say hello (which was barely even a 4 minute wait), I knew what phone I wanted and how it would affect my plan. Carlos quickly brought out the new phone, explained the options and pricing, rang me up and I was on my way. Less than 20 or so minutes for the entire experience! *My only complaint would be that he didn't actually activate my new phone and help to de-activate the old. I had to do that when I got home. I think this was done because I had iTunes on my home computer already to load onto my new Iphone so activating the phone in the store was useful? Either way, I had a wonderful experience! read more

BUYERS BEWARE! It sucks that Verizon customer service on the phone is so screwed up. Agents help you so sweetly and over promises and don't deliver - so perhaps these agents on the phone needed the rating. Going to the store is sometimes better but this time, in store agents are WORSE! BE VERY CAREFUL ON WHAT THEY SELL you especially if they are selling insurance for your phone. I got a Samnsung S5 2 months ago and was sold insiurance for $10 a month - apparently, will replace no questions asked. Well, my phone broke - now with a broken glass. I was told there is a $100 deductible and replacement will be a refurbished phone ! REALLY? NO disclosure on the cost of deductible and replacement product ? This agent who sold me the phone deserves NO star, the manager should get a rotten tomato , and Verizon as a company for not assuming command responsibility should get their act together - deserves a rotten egg. ugh! read more

Long story short, I called in to get a replacement battery. Woman I spoke to said that my battery wasn't replaceable and that I would have to buy a new phone ($500-700). After telling her that it was and that I was holding the battery in my hand, she told me that I just voided my warranty and would have to buy a new phone ($500-700). I'll just take my business elsewhere, thank you (like where I found the replacement battery for $50 and they had next day air shipping available for a few bucks). read more
