Make sure to ask questions and stand your ground about what you want. I went to the store expecting to get a replacement phone and have my existing number and plan transferred to the new device. Instead, they created a completely new cell phone number, which came with additional fees, activation charges, and extra apps and services that I did not need. The sales representative did not properly explain any of this to me. The entire time, I believed I was simply getting a new phone and rolling my existing plan over to it. Had everything been explained clearly, I would never have agreed to a new number and the extra charges that came with it. I feel misled and frustrated by the lack of transparency during the sales process. This is consumer ripoff. read more

This process is usually time-consuming and a bit nerve-wracking, but the associate who helped us--Chris, I believe--made it an excellent experience. This is a new location to me, but it looks like it's been established in the Downtown, Redwood City area for a bit. I needed to upgrade my iPhone so, this was the most convenient location for me on that day. Because it was the first time here, I made sure to be on my peas and cues because as we all know, some places, just wanna sell you things you don't need. Surprisingly, this location was not what I expected. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and felt very appreciative for the warm greeting. It's very spacious and you can tell that the team cares about maintenance because it was clean and well organized. I was greeted by a fantastic Verizon specialist named Benito, and he was super friendly and engaging. He made sure to answer all my questions and even support me. With my Phone upgrade. Without feeling forced, he allowed me to process all the detailed information he was giving me. I always felt comfortable and confident in my decisions. I'm not goung to wait 2 hours because you screwed up and didn't activate my phone correctly. Female who helped me the day before tells me to XY AND Z. If I don't want To wait. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PRIORITY SINCE IT WAS HER ERROE!!! VERIZON it was your mistake. I spent the next 2 hours on with a chat bot. They didn't credit me a nickel. Caution: Do not confuse with Victra Verizon. Victra Verizon is down the street and has abysmal service. They remain buoyant with positive reviews online because anytime a guest is upset, they claim to be located at 2501 El Camino instead of their actual location on 1025 El Camino Real. This way, online grievances will be posted to the wrong store, sabotaging the efforts of the corporate Verizon store to keep this 3rd Party Verizon retailer afloat. I called a Verizon number that 'transferred' me to the Verizon store at 2501 El Camino Real, Redwood City, right in the Target Plaza. The phone number on Google did not match the address location and I asked, "is this the phone number for the 2501 el Camino location?" The representative said yes but I did not trust him. I had to ask their name and he said 'Andrew'. I asked to speak to a manager and the said they are "pretty much a manager". I insisted that I need a manager and they insisted that they were qualified enough. I told him he wasn't as close to being a manager as he thought because he didn't even introduce himself on the phone. He literally started the conversation with a confused, "Hello?". Who does that?! He then scheduled me an appointment the following day with his Assistant Manager, Esmerelda. When I arrive to meet Esmeralda, I am told "there is no one of that name who works here". I do get connected to manager, Andrew D., who was awesome. I find out that the Andrew I talked to the day before is from Victra Verizon down the street. They are a 3rd party for Verizon that is horrible. I told Andrew D. that he should call himself 'Andy' to not be affiliated with and distinguish himself from the liar down the street. Verizon needs to cut Victra off. Andrew from Victra was eager to help but unpolished and he told me that for three locations, they have 2 managers. This is exactly why Victra has problems. There is a lack of management and the inmates are running the asylum. Victra's owners don't care because they're still making money but it's unfair because their eager employees aren't trained how to do their job correctly. To Andrew from Victra - switch to a corporate store, you would be supported and better equipped to handle customer issues. To Andrew D from Verizon (corporate store) - I hope that Verizon knows how valuable you are. I want to deal exclusively with you. My previous experience had me spending over $2000 in the Palo Alto location on University. The sales representative who made commission off me, ordered Doordash in the middle of our interaction and ghosted out on me to eat his Happy Meal while I had questions about my new device. This review is about customer service of an employee that works at the Verizon location at Redwood City's Sequoia Station. We recently switcthed over to from ATT to Verizon due to an offer we could not pass up. The offer is great and so far Verizon has bee great, however we worked with Fiby Marina a young girl with a soft voice and quiet demeanour. I have to say she is great with people, She patiently put together our plan which included four family members, two of which live in SF. She took her time and stayed focused among the confusion of having a lot of different questions thrown at her AND working without backup help. She even answered texts off business hours. I was impressed with her ability to stay calm while customers piled in one by one seeking her help. She worked hard to get what I wanted and kept a smile and was polite even in the most difficult of moments, Verizon as a company should be proud to have such a responsible employee! read more

This location and associate Noel saved the day for me as I had been getting the run around from Verizon customer service (and that was when I could actually reach a live person to speak to - a rare occurrence!) since August on the process to return a modem which actually originated from service in NYC. Noel was extremely proficient at contacting service and helping me to navigate the call enabling the proper shipping materials to be sent to our local address. HORRIBLE TREATMENT BY SOME STAFF: Firstly, there is no main manager and you cannot get his/her card. Everyone there lies and says they are a manager. I've had Verizon for YEARS. I replaced my very old iphone with a new one. The people (1 woman, 1 man) who sold me the new iphone were nice - maybe because I was spending almost $500.00. I was there on a Friday late afternoon and left near closing time with my new iphone and case/screen protector that they put on. When I got home, I noticed that when the iphone went black, I could see cracks in the screen protector. The phone had only been in my purse and I hadn't dropped it, so I can only assume that they installed it incorrectly. I could not go in the next day as I am caring for my mother and she was ill. I went back on Sunday evening 10/20/24 and showed the staff the cracks. They (2 men) said they wouldn't replace it because they "only do that for the same day". I explained that it had only been in my purse. They then sheepishly tried to tell me that it can get "scratched" that way in someone's purse, and again, they only replace if it's the same day. What a load of BS! There was absolutely nothing in my purse to cause any scratches. I argued with them until they finally agreed to replace it. I've now had the phone for a week (with the same case and screen protector that I originally got) and it's been in and out of the same purse and lo and behold - no "scratches". VERIZON MANAGER, TAKE NOTE: people who have paid Verizon for years do NOT appreciate being lied to, getting the run around, and being treated so very poorly by your salesmen just because they don't want to take a few minutes to replace a screen protector THAT WAS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED IN THE FIRST PLACE. DO BETTER. Also google: What Causes a Screen Protector To Crack Without Dropping It? Incorrect Installation: One of the most common causes of screen protector cracking is improper Installation. If the protector isn't applied or reapplied correctly, it can lead to air bubbles or uneven pressure distribution. Absolutely the worst service. We came into the store and were greeted by a man who said he would help us. Once he started helping us, his tone towards us changed and it was very clear he did not want to assist us anymore. Not exactly sure what happened but in the middle of being assisted, he said he needed to step away and that someone would be right along to finish the set up for our phone. We said ok, no problem and waited by the merchandise patiently waiting. After being ignored for over 30 minutes while others after us were being helped (by this guy mind you) we decided it would be best to leave. We've never felt so insulted before at a store. Not sure what the guy's problem was but we're glad we went to the other Verizon store in San Mateo in The Bridgepoint shopping center. Eddy, the manager at the San Mateo location, was amazing and extremely helpful! We know now to continue going to the Bridgepoint location versus Redwood city. Very incompetent manager at the Verizon store in Redwood City, 2105 El Camino Real. (Close to Target). We placed an order for a new iPhone last week, paid in full, called Verizon about when we were picking up the new iPhone, made an appointment in advance to make sure we get the iPhone working (the manager claimed they didn't have time to set it up) in the store. When we go to pick it up they have cancelled the order and are acting completely clueless. They had not even made an attempt to contact us! Keep in mind the iPhone was already paid for. So we had paid for the product but they still went ahead and canceled the order! Seriously, who does that! They are too ignorant and lazy to just call us before they cancel the order, really? In addition the manager was trying to blame us saying we should've picked it up within 3 days. First of all, nobody ever told us that. Secondly, I called and informed them of the date we would pick up the iPhone. We had to place a NEW order for the same iPhone, paying close to $1500 upfront in total. When we get home we spend 2+ hours trying to set up the new iPhone and finally have to call Verizon who say they placed a block on the new iPhone until we return the old one. However, despite bringing the old iPhone in to the store in Redwood City they didn't want to collect it at the store! Not a word about plans to block the new iPhone from the manager at Verizon! This was supposed to be a gift for my daughter, something I also had explained when I placed the order. Now we have wasted most of her birthday trying to get her new iPhone to work. It's still not working after being on the phone with Verizon for at least an additional hour. Verizon ruined her birthday and my day. I did everything right but they still couldn't get ANYTHING right. So disappointing and horrible. read more

Bought a iPhone 12 mini on December 26th. When I was standing at the freestanding computer, executing the contract, the salesperson was next to me, he kept reaching around the plexiglass divider, clicking the continue button. I asked him where was the contract? He then entered the back button. He clearly wanted to rush through the process and didn't want me to see that the contract price had been changed to $799. How does this happen--doesn't Verizon scan the barcode? The floor model clearly had the price as $699 and the price on the Verizon website said it was $699. So who changed the price? I have my suspicions. He didn't give me a copy of the contract, nor was it in any of the documents that were emailed to me. I know, from 35 years in selling real estate, that the customer must receive a copy of the contract. Failure to do so is illegal. Two days ago, I emailed the store manager, Kris Nord, asking why my old phone was still getting some texts and messenger messages. I did not hear back from Kris. I had previously spent HOURS on the phone with multiple Verizon customer service representatives, prior to coming in. No one seemed be able to understand my reason for needing assistance, nor were they able to provide any help. Despite coming in with this tricky and technical request, these guys were able to interpret my issue and immediately sought to troubleshoot and resolve it very quickly and competently. Came in this morning at 10:00am because I got a new phone and it's having network connection issues... the girl helping me changed the SIM card and didn't even bother troubleshooting the issue she just said you'll have to wait until Verizon fixes the issue other people are having the same issues.... When walking in I see no other customer in the store and like 5 employees just talking so I thought it would be fast. Not only do they not acknowledge my presence but when I make myself known they act as if I was bothering them. They brush me off and say I will go on the queue. 5 minutes go by and nothing. 10 minutes go by and nothing again. I see someone that looks like a manager and go talk to him. Plenty of parking. Someone always helps you right away. Today when I walked in, I was unhappy with the telephone customer service agent who helped me order a new phone and accessories package prior to my visit to this store. The agent knew the model of the phone that she helped me order and she sent the wrong size otter box case which didn't fit my phone. I wasn't feeling well and now I had to go to the store to get the right size case. At the store, Shannon was excellent. She showed me to a comfortable seat while she went into the back and quiet brought me a nice selection of cases to choose from. I am so mad I spent so much money here. The woman that helped me with my phone had the worst attitude. And when I say attitude, I mean she was all attitude. She sounded bothered that I had the audacity to ask to see the different rate plans. Two clerks both had different quotes for how much discount one got to add a line ($5 or $10 discount for three additional line). They couldn't print out the sheet that explained the differences. And I had to push to keep my son on his grandfathered plan. This was after waiting a while to have someone help me when it seemed like other employees were just hanging out. They didn't have the color I wanted in stock and they almost made me drive to the other store to get it (Palo Alto). Luckily that guy at PA had good customer service and he drove it up for me to pick it up the next day. When I went back the next day to pick it up and even though there are (again) two clerks just standing around, and even though all they have to do is hand me a phone I already paid for, they told me i needed to "sign in" and wait 10 minutes to have a box handed to me. I will say that they did in the end only make me wait two minutes. (Long enough to write this). But I won't ever be going back there. This is not at all what I experienced at the Burlingame Verizon store. I guess I'll be driving back there for future Verizon needs. read more

I changed my cell service to Comcast in May. At the time of switching over service for my phone and my husband's I was given no indication that my online account would immediately be disabled. When I called to get a copy of the bill I was told to go to a Verizon store to get a secondary ode for access. Note that all of my Verizon messages about payments disappeared from my phone once I switched over and I could not get online since I no longer had a phone number with them. The woman and man at the Redwood City flatly turned me down and it seems once you leave Verizon they no longer have any use for you, even after having been a customer for over 15 years. I couldn't get a copy of my bill, couldn't get anything out of them but stonewalling. I lost my cool and told them where they could go and the woman said something like have a nice day, thanks for coming in. She heard more bad language from me. I will apologize for losing my cool but am still incensed by their total lack of service. This after just having paid $180 the day before on my automatic billing! When I called the 'customer service' line I was essentially told that since I was no longer a customer I would get no help and could not be forwarded to a manager. I hung up. Finally I called the same line and got a person who agreed to send me bills. Let's hope I actually get them. The person giving a code to change carriers should instruct the caller about disabling their account at the time. And send a close out bill. It has been a very frustrated experience from most of the Verizon staff, both in the awful store and on the phone. read more

Beware that the manager of this Verizon store is probably running a scam at this store. I brought 4 lines from Xfinity Mobile to Verizon and was charged $29.99 "setup fee" in addition to $35 activation fee for each of the lines. Manager assured me that I would receive a credit for the setup fee. it took me already almost 10-15 hours talking to customer service and Verizon was still not willing to remove all the fees. No setup was done at the store for any of the lines, I was given SIM cards that I installed. I had my own back up at home that I used to restore the newly purchased iPhone. I came in with a simple warranty issue and it took over an hour and a half, 5 different reps, and extreme persistence to get the outcome that the previous reps had claimed was possible. Ultimately, the manager would not issue a credit to me (after billing me incorrectly) because he didn't want it to come out of their store budget. We had to conference call with 3 different reps from the customer service team in order to reach a resolution. Each rep initially said they couldn't help, but finally one agreed to issue the credit out of their own budget. The manager also promised to give me a receipt of my transaction, but was incapable of doing so. read more

They said that they couldn't take it and I had to ship it back via UPS because otherwise they'd be responsible for it! I went to Apple where they told me I needed to get rid of some apps, but it didn't help. Went back and was told I needed to get a IPhone7.
