I called to pay my bill because my bank account changed, i have paperless billing and the account is just for internet. with that said i was greeted with a inhuman voice that wanted my phone number, this did no good because my phone is thru another carrier. next i was asked for my account #, I had nothing from Verizon that has an account number so i said connect me with a human after waiting for some time a voice as announcing in a language that is not from here. Now i am pissed. I worked as a phone agent for a long time and was successful. If you cannot communicate with your client, or your employees babble instead of talking. I would suggest if you need help call Verizon. They are actually more helpful. I walked in and was referred to Jennifer who said she didn't know anything about my product and then she called Verizon headquarters. The lady on the line wanted to do all kinds of troubleshooting. However, since I brought it in there was no way to do that. I left and went back home and after about an hour or so on the phone it finally worked again. we inquired about switching from our previous phone carrier to Verizon to get better/more reliable service at home because we both work remotely and rely on good service for our businesses. Verizon was quick to promise better service than our previous carrier, and sell us a plan- YET the associate never did his due diligence to check the coverage Verizon provided our neighborhood. We discovered the hard way that we live in a DEAD-ZONE in S Salem. After many dropped calls, attempting WiFi calls and being refused a booster, we cancelled our plan with Verizon. While the staff is nice and it is clean, Verizon has many policies that do not allow for adequate customer service. I was driving by and needed a quick question answered so popped in. Asked them what the travel policy was and included. He told me how much it was but then told me I would need to call customer service to determine how it worked. I then asked wasn't he customer service he said no I'm a sales rep. This means that this rep can't give customer service and is not fully trained in the products he sells. Just saying Verizion is ehh. I bought (with cash) what was suppose to be a new Apple Pencil. I never read the receipt and they just handed me the box and receipt, which I outright paid cash. Bunch lazy guys standing around with their mouths open want $50 of a restock fee if you return something Rip off. Not taking $50 of mine to put something back in stock on a shelf and a keystroke or two to put it back in their system get real. There was like 4 of them just standing there with no customers. My son's Gizmo stopped holding a charge in the first 60 days (under warrantee). I go into the store on a Wednesday afternoon. Salesman says a replacement will be shipped and arrive the next day... day after that at most. 4 days later, waited 30+ min in the store and they provided ZERO customer service. I am now pissed off. I ask them to call and find out where the order - that they submitted - is. They promise to text me. Skip forward 4 hours. No text. The manager said he was on hold 2 1/2 hrs, on a busy weekend with the roll out of a new phone and got transferred 3 times (HELLO, WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THE CUSTOMER!!!). He said they have none in "replacement" stock. I asked why I cannot get one in another store in town... (gonna love this)... because those are only available for new sales. News flash: Verizon and Apple want the sale, but are not at all quick to help the existing customers. I suggested that as the manager, he should escalate his frustration with the customer service experience (2.5 hrs) up the ladder!! Moral of the story? Shop somewhere else. They want your money for the sale and don't give a rats $@& about fixing their equipment after he sale is made. UPDATE? They never sent any replacement! They never contacted us about it! I was on the phone all day today trying to find resolution for a phone gifted to my by now my ex bf. I had been calling to make sure my phone would not get disconnected and was assured it would NOT! ( I asked the rep: " Are you sure?") in which she replied yes... today, I was told they could not release it until December 31st. NOT on contract, phone bought as refurbished phone on Amazon. Blasted them on FB, I'm not thru... word of mouth works! I would rather send smoke signals than use their service! Bret at this location was awesome! I had to deal with 5 different people on the phone because my business phone died. I wish I had just gone into the store who ended up helping. I just wanted to take a moment to say how impressed and helped I felt when I appeared at the Salem, Oregon Lancaster St store for assistance. My senior citizen sister is visiting in Arizona. She lost her phone. I used the find my phone app to locate it. She thought she had left it at a store but the search showed a personal residence. I went to the store to try to get more information about the location. I was immediately greeted by Yshar who worked to help me. He helped me get a little closer and then Marcos A. joined Yshar to help me try to lock her phone. I did not have enough information to make that happen. They gave me great information and guidance on how to proceed. I felt confident we would be able to help my sister 1000 miles away. By the time I contacted her she had gone to the address, which turned out to be in a good looking neighborhood, with hopes of a positive result. The person at the house thought she had dropped her own phone so she picked up the phone which belonged to my sister. The phone is back safe and sound and all is well thanks to find my phone, Marco and Yshar. I so appreciate the service I got at Verizon today, Please recognize these great employees. read more

We had an iPhone bite the dust during the early stage of the stay at home order. Chris Buol bent over backwards to get a new phone sent to our home swiftly. He also fielded at least 3 different calls from us to navigate some user error issues to swap out the phones. He went up and beyond, was so patient with our limited tech abilities and ensured we were off and running with a new phone in a single day. Went into your store today to purchase a new phone charger and to find out about your new unlimited plan. The store was very busy so I waited at the front of the store for a worker to become available. After 5min of waiting and nobody greeting me I decided to take a look around myself. I found the chargers and other accessories but still wasn't acknowledged by any of the employees. After it was obvious I wasn't going to get any help I decided to leave. As I approached the door I noticed 2 employees standing near the entrance engaging in conversation, I guess they were too busy to come ask me if I needed help or to tell me that someone would be right with me. Terrible service! We are new to Oregon and had our phone numbers switched online. Unfortunately this created a problem with my husbands sim card that required we visit a "corporate" store. The woman at the front desk, Sierra, was very confrontational because I was taking too long to put on the mask offered. While I appreciate certain stores are still requiring a mask, I was unprepared as the mask mandate in Oregon has ended. I don't know why she was in a reactive state but I was putting the mask on willingly with no argument. She was just rude. My husband had a similar experience with the actual sales person in the back. I believe his name was Justin or Jason. My husband extended his arm with the phone in his hand and stated that his phone was not working. The sales rep got very confrontational and stated that he would not serve my husband because he was "throwing" the phone at him. My husband, who tends to be passive, stated, "the phone is here in my hand and my arm is extended. There is no "throwing" going on here, are you going to help me or not? Eventually, he got the minimal amount of service required to get his phone operational again. What the people in this store need to know is that consumers have multiple options and do not have to tolerate hostile service. We WERE going to upgrade my husbands phone at this visit and the sales rep could have gotten credit for a sale had he had a better attitude. Instead, we are considering terminating our relationship with Verizon. read more
