I wish I could give this Verizon franchise (Victra), its regional manager Shawn Kashani and his employees zero stars for lack of knowledge in terms of Verizon products and promotions, misleading sales techniques, promises made and not kept and a total lack of accountability and followup. After what I thought was a good discussion yesterday morning about 3 major issues I've had during the month I changed over to Verizon Mr. Kashani promised he would call or text me with an update later yesterday afternoon. Never heard back so I sent a followup text. Never heard back. This morning I called and he did not answer his phone and his mailbox was full so I couldn't leave a message. Texted and never heard back. Again had poor and misleading service from four separate employees. This is how their regional manager responds. You may decide you want to deal with Verizon. If you do I suggest you stay away from this location or any other owned and operated by Victra. read more

Terrible experience in this store with customer "service" representative Riley. I came in to purchase a new cell phone, Apple Watch, and iPad, and left with fraudulent charges that were not properly explained, incompetent service, and worst experience ever. I have never been treated so poorly at a Verizon store let alone a retail store in general. Riley was argumentative and didn't even bother to hear me out when I told her that my cell phone wasn't properly activated. She argued with me and denied making any errors in setting up my phone even though I was receiving calls on my old phone and not my new phone. She was absolutely rude and incompetent at best. She charged me for setting up the cell phone and watch even though she didn't do it properly. I will never sign up with Verizon after this experience. read more

Upgrading my phone is always stressful. My experience yesterday was the opposite. After an awful experience on chat on the Verizon website, and not getting the phone, I decided to visit a store. I went to one store and they ignored me. The minute I walked into the store on Murphy Canyon, and although serving two other customers, Kynan immediately said hello, and told me how long the wait was. When it was my turn, Kynan was absolutely professional and found me the right phones and right plans for me. Even though he was by himself that day, he stayed calm while taking care of all the customers that popped in throughout the afternoon. Disappointed Customer After 20+ Years of Loyalty** I have been a Verizon customer for over 20 years and have never had any issues--until this year. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. It all started when I pre-ordered the Samsung S25 Ultra, which was supposed to come with a $1,000 trade-in credit. I placed the order, received a QR code to return my old phone, and anticipated a smooth process. However, just four days after receiving my new phone, I was shocked to find a message indicating I had already turned in the old device. Of course, that's impossible since I still had the phone in my possession. To resolve this, I visited a Verizon store in person. Unfortunately, they couldn't help much, telling me to keep the phone until I could get the correct QR code and that I needed to contact Verizon by phone. For the next four months, I worked tirelessly with customer service to get the issue sorted out, finally obtaining the correct code to return my old phone. But then, a new problem arose: Verizon no longer honored the original pre-order discount. Instead, they offered me only $161 for my trade-in, claiming that they couldn't apply the original discount because the old phone was not received within 45 days. I explained that this delay was due to Verizon's own logistics, but they told me there was nothing they could do. As a result, I was billed an additional $616, bringing the total cost of the phone to around $1,100--far from the $300 I initially expected. Had I known this, I would have bought directly from Samsung, as I did with another phone, to avoid this nightmare. Adding insult to injury, Verizon is now removing my $25 monthly discount because I paid the $616 bill with a credit card. I don't have $600 just lying around for a phone, and this feels like a punitive move rather than a customer-focused solution. After more than two decades, I am deeply disappointed in how Verizon has handled my case. Their customer service seems to have shifted away from being helpful and supportive to being money-driven. At this point, I am seriously considering switching providers--something I never thought I'd say. It's sad to see a company that once prioritized its customers become so focused on profits. I'm not if this was "bait and switch" , or if the rules changed , or if the employees didn't know what they were doing. I went in on March 29 because I saw a promotion advertised that I could get a free iPhone 16 "ON ANY PLAN" with any phone trade in. I asked when I arrived, and was confirmed that this was valid, so I selected an iPhone 16 and was told I just had to trade in my iPhone XR within a month, after assuring that everything transferred properly. I signed- on a tablet- the agreement, and when I asked for a hard copy I was told their printer wasn't working, the document would be emailed to me. I took my old phone to them on April first, and they emailed me the receipt. I am now being charged for the new phone, and after an hour talking to "Verizon " on the phone. I am being told that there was no promotion that applied to my situation, because I am on a plan that is no longer offered. If I had just purchased the phone from Apple, I would at least received $100 for the trade-in! Oh! The "switch" part: Verizon Customer Service informed me I can have the "free" phone...IF I switch to one of their new plans. The monthly cost would be more than what I'm paying now, with the cost of the new phone. So. Was this the fault of the employees at the store? Or perhaps bait and switch by Verizon? read more

I have been to this location, Mission Gorge, three times and each time received excellent service. Once to get a new phone, the representative was helpful and didn't rush me. I was disappointed when I went to pick it up my original representative was not there. The person who was there was great. Today, I went in because of Verizon's horrible call center. The folks here listened patiently and helped me make change and explained everything clearly. Generally, Verizon's customer service is lousy, however, at this store, you get treated right. So on Sunday morning while driving back from Pasadena we stopped just as they were opening at 11 am. Within 45 minutes we had two new Galaxy S23 Ultra phones with all our data transfered. Will try to scam you into buying a bundle with a case and screen protector and will not let you buy the phone without it. Went to pick up an online order and was told it was canceled (it wasn't). Tried to buy the phone there (because somehow it was in stock but the same phone placed for the pick up order was not) and they wouldn't let me purchase it. Called customer service and said it wasn't a requirement that they bundle the iPhone 15 pro with those items and should have let me buy the phone. I got a new iPhone and had data transferred to it at the Sports Arena store in San Diego. Later, after many hours spent deleting the multitude of junk embedded deep into every ap, I noticed only 147 of my 900 contacts had transferred over from my old phone. So I returned. My new phone had to be reset thus deleting hours spent customizing it. Within 15 min  the customer service rep (no name tag) wanted me to agree to a 7 day (due to VZ's  inferior "geo coverage" where I live, otherwise it would have been 30 days) free trial at a package cost and data speed markedly inferior to what I enjoy with Spectrum. I mentioned the excellent tech service I'd experienced with my current carrier and I was pleased to keep it. Then the bullying and shallow justification to accept their lesser internet service package set in. I tried to reason, use common sense, but he wouldn't let up. Finally he said I needed to accept the 7 day trial or I would have to pay $30 for the phone data transfer despite my already having paid it the first time the incomplete data transfer was initially  done.  I said it sounded like  extortion then he told me I could leave the store and finish the transfer at  home. I mentioned that he had made it evident that his agressive customer service pressure was why I was justified in not purchasing any VZ packages, nor would I recommend them. Decades ago VZ had exceptional customer service. Now it has gone the way of so many corporations which value shareholder profits  over customer service. Poor business model. read more

We purchased two phones last year and asked for and discussed the benefits of Asurion insurance with Elmer Sanchez in case either my wife's or my phone was lost. Long story short I lost my phone a week ago and went back to Elmer Sanchez at Verizon wireless on Murphy canyon road and asked for a replacement. He agreed we had asked for Asurion insurance for our phones and confirmed that at the time of purchase. But had forgotten to enter that information into the computer. So I paid 1000.00 on a new phone and paid off the lost one for another 800.00. Elmer Sanchez went to the back of the store and ate his bundle of taco bell and sent out a less senior employee to deliver the bad news. We are in talks with the corporate office to remedy this error.We have a receipt with his writing confirming the request we made for Asurion insurance we will be submitting as part of our claim. read more

After being rejected at the Grossmont Verizon store I decided to try the Murphy Canyon Verizon store...What a pleasant surprised. Andy greeted me as I entered. He was working with 2 other customers but still had the brains and class to sincerely ask what I needed. I explained my recent utter disappointment at the Grossmont store when I tried to update my phone. I asked if he could handle the upgrade, including transferring the stuff to my new phone. He assured me with a "no problem". I was hooked. He was the only employee in the store, but he logged me in while at the same time, helping the 2 other customer. As I waited, I was so impressed with his patient demeanor and technical skills. Shortly another person came in with an "emergency" situation...We all agreed that he was a priority, and Andy quickly and effortlessly solved his problem. At this point, it was after 11:30am and I couldn't stick around any longer. No problem...Andy made an appointment to meet me Friday, April 9th at 10:15, his next scheduled workday. He was on time, I got my upgrade to the iPhone SE, and I got all my stuff transferred to the new phone. I was out of there within an hour. Andy is a remarkable young man. When many young employees reluctantly just show up for a paycheck, (See Verizon Grossmont review) Andy is a problem-solver...and he solves problems using a high level intellect and patience. USED TO BE GOOD SERVICE, NOW IT SUCKS. . . I bought my last three phones here and have been with Verizon more than ten years. The customer service at Verizon (611) was always REALLY BAD but at least I could walk into this store and help me with a problem. Now they don't even try. They claim, as one excuse, that it's " the pandemic". Doesn't seem so!Today I walked in with a simple issue. There were four employees chatting at the counter an no customers in the store. One rep asked if she could help and almost faster than I finished the problem description, told me I needed to call Customer service. Very good experience. Though there was just one person working the line moved fine. The agent was helpful, answered all my questions very thoroughly. The store is bright, well stocked and there are several very comfortable chairs for waiting. The parking was fine and there are a lot of food places in the center if you want to grab a bite while waiting. All and all a great place to swap out that broken phone. read more

Probably the worst customer service I have ever had. Walked in for an upgrade to an IPhone 13. Elmer, the store manager, told me it would cost $230 out the door (On top of the monthly payment plan). I asked why it would be $230. He replied "fees and taxes." When I continued to question that outrageous price, he said "I can lower that to $170." Still seemed high but we proceeded with the transaction. At checkout he said he'd "Throw in a free screen protector and give me $15 off a charger." Come to find out he charged me $65 for a screen protector (which I would have never agreed to. You can get one online for $10-$15) and the full price of the charger. As a "Store Manager" you'd think he'd have a little integrity. I will never be back to this location. read more

I came I'm here to ask a few questions since I was thinking of switching over from my previous carrier. Gary the store manager was so EXTREMELY helpful and answered ALL and then some of my questions. I felt bad because I didn't end up setting up service or purchasing phones from him because the phones were cheaper elsewhere but I still wanted to give him a shout out. He answered so many questions about carriers and phones without being pushy and trying to sell me anything. He was really really helpful and pleasant to talk to. After waiting for them to FAIL helping 2 other customers, I ask about upgrading.. They don't have the phone, I just confirmed over the phone that they had it.. Dude had a blank expression on his face, clearly he didn't feel like doing his job.Since I know there are lazy, uninformed employees here, I will not be returning. Thanks for wasting my time. Ever been bamboozled? How about verbally assuring me at least twice that I was purchasing a one year contract, but signing me up for a two year contract? Yes, I should have gone home and read through the 8 pages of fine print that I was handed after purchasing a Home Connect device. But I didn't, I did the stupid and unthinkable - I actually believed that the salesperson that I was working with told me the truth and did not cheat me. When my Home Connect and MiFi device both started working sporadically, at best, and I called to disconnect - I was rudely awakened to the reality of having to pay over $500 to get rid of these subpar and poorly performing services. When I called this store to ask for help, they gave me a bunch of advice that was just wrong. I guess that the store manager, Andy, was trying to help - but just doesn't either know or understand Verizon policies. When I spoke with Verizon, they mentioned that they continually have trouble with stores like this - misinforming people and selling things incorrectly. Overall, you couldn't pay me to set foot in this store again. After over 10 years of being a Verizon customer, my service as a result of this store has me looking at options in switching elsewhere for my cell service. Shameful. Just shameful. read more

I was told my phone was paid off its now mine, I was not giving any shipping packaging to send it back nor was I even told too!!...now I am being charged for it by Verizon. Although my experience was OK, I was talked into a new phone and I pad because I was told that Apple no longer supported my I phone 5 and they were doing away with it. So I took the new phone and I pad and when I got home I called the Apple store and they fixed my phone in just over an hour on the phone. To explain what was wrong with my I phone 5 and why I was there, my phone was showing no service and would not hold a charge after doing the last update. So what Apple had me do is to backup my phone on my computer and to reset my phone. Once that was done we uploaded everything back on it and it works wonderful. Kinda disappointed that they are saying these things about Apple to boost their sales. From now on I will go directly to Apple instead of Verizon. NOT COOL GUYS!!! read more

I have previously had good experiences with the staff at this location, however, today not so much. I have visited various Verizon locations 4 times in the last month attempting to resolve an issue. This issue is that I would like to assume liability for a mobile internet device. I am continually told to call customer service. I have done this 6 times. When I call I am placed on hold for over 30 minutes. WHY HAVE A STOREFRONT IF YOU HAVE TO CALL A MACHINE ANYWAY!?! So, I would like to order MORE services and spend MORE money with Verizon and still NOBODY can help me??? The salesperson was rude, even walking away from me while I was explaining the trouble I had been having. He offered no solutions or apologies. This store is amazing! I had to stop in multiple times this month to get help with my bill and everyone was so helpful including the managers Andy and Devine. The best part is the store was completely empty every time I stopped in which was convenient for me to get the help I needed right away! No wait at all! The Go Wireless team has been great to work with. Even gave me a temp phone so I could make my switch without doubling up on providers while I wait for my new phone. We moved three phones over from another service and have been very happy with the Verizon network and coverage. My only complaint is the amount of time it has taken to get my new phones. I ordered my new iPhone on November 15th and I still (today is December 14th) don't have it. Not even expecting it to ship until the 19th of December. I'm used to walking into the Apple Store a couple of weeks after a new phone launch. Really wish I would have known it would take so long. Not sure I'll do it again but the team has been easy to work with so that helps. read more
