I have missed one payment and the account has become inactive which is fine. But when I try to log in to make the payment, it doesn't recognize my number because it's inactive. So I call them up and an automated response comes to help me, it sends me a link to an AI chat assistant. At the link, I re-enter my current inactive phone number so I can try to log in and make a payment. The AI assistant responds "Hmm, that's not something I've learned yet. You can try rephrasing, or tap on the option below to chat with an agent". There is no option below to tap for an agent. I am left with no way to log in or pay for my currently inactive phone number right now. read more

Horrible experience. I got a second Apple Watch from Verizon but it wouldn't get a cellular connection. I went to this store twice because they 1: somehow changed the IMEI on my iPhone so that lost a cellular connection which was not even relevant to anything. 2: they somehow added a third Apple Watch to my account that I didn't even own. Plus, the guy was rude and almost removed my first Apple Watch and claimed he knows what he was doing. Clearly not. I said the third one. Of course somehow that first Apple Watch that was at home sitting there fell off the network as well. And they couldn't even fix the original issue: the second Apple Watch wouldn't connect to cellular. Terrible experience, specifically with an employee named Eric, yesterday. My wife and I came in to upgrade our phones and he was increasingly rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. When we asked him to clarify part of the process he snapped at us that "it's exactly what it sounds like" in an incredibly condescending tone. He told us that we should just call Customer Service instead, which defeats the whole purpose of coming into the store. We ultimately left without our upgraded phones and will try another store with hopefully better customer service. read more

I went into Verizon on Market Street in San Francisco to purchase a hot spot so that I could work from anywhere when I travel. Shayari Saha was my account representative and was very helpful and knowledgeable. She helped me creatively problem solve so that I could get started right away with my mobile office and obtain the correct products. I hadn't been into a Verizon store in a long time and was pleasantly surprised at the new offerings and free merch that was available with my hotspot. Verizon steals cheats and lies After restarting one of our phones on a cruise ship less than one day out we got a notice that there was some charges Immediately I called Verizon and they told me what was going on and turned back on the airplane mode. After we returned on Thanksgiving Day I received a notice that $1,270 was on our bill After a long phone call with one person at Verizon they assured me it would be refunded but not until after Thanksgiving Three different people over the course of two more months told me and confirmed with text and emails that the fees would be removed A few days ago I was out of town and my wife was alone caregiver of a 97-year-old mother , Verizon cut off our lines. Trying to remedy the situation a gentleman at Verizon assured me they would start the phone which of course did not happen. I have been a Verizon customer for only one a year and my few experiences with my closest store have been unprofessional and very unpleasant. The first went a few months ago when I was attempting to purchase an Apple Watch. I arrived at the store, rushing from work, with the set intention of buying it in-store since I was committed to upgrading. I arrived 15-20 minutes before they closed only to be turned away from your representatives due to them almost closing and not having time to finish the transaction before they closed. It was appalling to me that I get turned away while the store was still open, but I called Verizon and handled my transaction via phone instead. I had to wait for my watch, but I did also mention this to the phone rep who helped me with this poor experience. Fast forward to last week, I went into the store to trade in 2 phones I had recently upgraded. The system specifically said I could either mail them back or return them to the store of my choice so I chose the store closest to me for convenience. When I arrived I got distracted due to my father-in-law being in the store so I didn't "check in" immediately. When I did get redirected to get checked in, the representative George kinda smirked and laughed at me saying "we don't do trade-ins at this store". Frustrated I asked why would they send me here if I can't do it there? He did not offer much of an explanation, and just said I can help you print out return labels, but let me check in the next two customers waiting before I help you. Upset, I got on the phone with my sister who had come from Concord to help me finish this process today & started venting about how poor customer service I was receiving at this store always. Seeing me upset, George says oh no "I'm not going to help you if you're going to be rude as fuck". I was appalled not only was I not directing any of my frustrations to him, but I was also on a personal call, and he singled me out & basically refused to help me in front of a store full of people (my father-in-law included). I asked to speak to the store manager, but he claimed to be the store manager. I have never been so humiliated or upset with someone's poor customer service. Like I told him I wasn't talking to him and I was on a personal call. If he found it offensive that his store was always handling customers with such low standards, that doesn't have anything to do with me. I searched yelp reviews and found many customers complaining about the lack of professionalism. I went back in asking for the district manager's information, which he refused to give me. I told him as a customer I have the right to talk to his superiors & he went into the back to look for the contact information. He provided me with Ferdinand Arellano's email address which was not the correct District Manager according to Verizon. They also informed me that George who claimed to be the store manager was not the store manager. When I called Verizon, the rep was also very flabbergasted by my experience. He did mention that there was some sort of glitch in the system that didn't allow us to trade in in stores. That was all the rep George should've explained. He claimed it was because he was busy but busy or not there is a certain standard you should hold your employees to. My father-in-law later told me that he has had similar experiences with the reps at this store. It is unfortunate that there are so many non-English speaking customers that they probably are used to providing such poor, condescending, lackluster customer service. The customer service reps will assure you that they have taken care of everything and you will receive your rebate in a week only to be declined by their rebate center. I've been promised my rebate would be issued on three separate occasions only to be declined. Then you get to spend another two hours on the phone explaining the situation to the next rep. (IF A COMPANY WAS NO STARS) I have been a customer with this company since August 31, 2022 , now bill is $648.46. I transferred four lines from a company that services were poor in my new area. To start I should have known better when They wouldn't accept a last name that had been changed for 5yrs. Hence Ohh Lord this was sign number 1. After going thru fraud account was set up, The port was started and when I put in correct name it should have triggered them, but Nooo. Hours on phone with Port team and company I was well on my way to disaster. Two days later no services on a phone that was not being paid for and not locked, no phone 2 days. Rep tells me well I'm not sure why its working as the port went through, I will call the phone and see if I can reach the owner in 30 mins. How Sway the line is not working!!! Finally after a few hours I was able to get it to work after being hung up on and not being called back, not to include I am the account owner. Next few days my work phone stops working, MILITARY employee, gotta have a phone. We cant get the line ported, after being on the phone again this time 3:57pm to 7:55pm. Leadership team is on the line at this time(just another name for still don't know anything, Stephanie, she tells me after saying well I'm not sure what's wrong but I cant transfer you but I will notate account. Why keep talking to her as the is NOOOOO help, all she can say is you need to speak with another department but I cant transfer you. Next day I call and a nice lady gets on the line was starting to help after I told her to disconnect ALL 5 lines Amanda started to call people in the company. Still no resolution but helping correct name and advising on when my rebate should arrive, I received the email but not the rebate. The rebate finally received after I had to request it again and call in to question it. $1800.00 is the amount so in my mind i finally have enough to get a new phone, not so much. I place an order for a new iPhone, remember I have enough to cover the cost, mo payments and no additional funds out of pocket to get the phone, what do ya know...now its a cap of 2 gift certificates or $1000.00 which ever comes first. I meet both requirements at the same time, so where is that advised, I asked. its on the web or in your agreement, can you advise what page because I dont see it ANYWHERE and I need proof. I was charged an additional amount of $135.37 which, living paycheck to paycheck, caused my account to overdraw. I incurred three overdraft charges which they paid one. After three calls to them over a week, I get a different answer each time. The bottom line is we have your money. Maybe I can get a refund two weeks after the fact. I've been a verizon customer for 10 years. A deceitful xfinity customer service rep had lied to me to get me to start switching my phone to xfinity. I went to this verizon location to ask for help & alternatives having not yet installed the xfinity sim but they refused to help. Whether or not this is a corporate policy it's crazy and possibly homophobic that these men just sat there and looked at me like we can't help you. I also brought in a tablet & watch that needed 5g service & they went straight to how they can't help with my cellphone until i call corporate. Do you want the sale and 24 months of me as a customer or not? If you're not going to ease the process for me why should i remain a customer with the company you're contracting with. I have had this service for over 10 years and never had any problems with it until now. I purchased a used phone with an otter box from them and they sent it to a wrong address so I called them to cancel the order and went to the store to purchase what I needed. Well they sent me the phone I originally purchased to the correct address and I refused it so they sent this back. Kind you this was the middle of August, I tracked the package going back and they had it within one week. I still have not received credit on this phone and now they want to charge me for 3 phones instead of 2. I have been trying to pay my bill and they said I have to pay the full amount of 500.00 so they disconnected my phones. I have been in the hospital for over 40 days with covid and need my phone. Am on a retired pension and do not have those kind of funds to be paying out. I spoke with a supervisor Abby and said that my phones were to be restored at no additional cost this morning and to this time I still do not have service. I called again and said she made no notes as to what we spoke about U don't get it, aren't supervisors supposed to be able to get things done for you as soon as possible. Verizon customer service is horrible started 2-1/2 years ago with fraud claim which I caught and notified them. They received police report and claim and never completely closed the claim. $110 charge on credit report and 2-1/2 years I have continued to follow up. This is all for 1st month service ( not even a phone) for the fraud account which was stopped on day 1 and they cannot clear it from my credit report. I was told to start another fraud claim again or pay it to be quicker. i am so done, just paid it to be done wit them but Verizon is just a crappy customer service company. read more

I was super impressed with the service and attention to detail. The greeter remembered my name and a specific request that I had and he passed on the info correctly to my assigned sales person. That sales person listened to my requests, asked questions and then followed up with the products that I needed. So rare to actually have a complete, competent, satisfactory customer experience! I didn't spend much this trip, just needed some accessories, but I'm definitely coming back when I need more product. Please visit another Verizon store to save yourself lots of time, stress and heartache. We came to Verizon Mission to buy a new iPhone XS and because of the incompetence of the store staff, wound up wasting about 15 hours of our time trying to fix their errors. 1. WiFi - Unlikes most Verizon stores, this store has no WiFi, meaning they rely on tethering to a cellular connection in order to transfer your data to the new phone. After waiting for 3 hours at the store, we realized it was never going to work. 2. Do not understand Verizon's policies. We wanted to set-up dual sim on our phone, but AFTER we paid for it, they told us we would have to wait for 2 months before Verizon would allow a foreign sim to be used simultaneously. We went to another Verizon store in the FD, and found out that such restrictions do not apply if you pay (up-front in full). 3. Shady. When we asked to obtain insurance, they put us in the most expensive insurance policy that Verizon offers without telling us there were cheaper options which offer most of the coverage. We also asked to get an automatic credit for the trade-in of our new phone, because the 24 month plan Verizon offers (to pay back the value of your old phone in installments) allows Verizon to keep all of your money if you terminate before 24 months. They claimed that the system was not working, so we had to do the installment repayment, which comes with the above risk. All told, we had to visit 3 verizon stores and spend countless hours screaming on the phone at about 5 different representatives before a kind man in another Verizon store was able to fix all of these issues.
